A friend and I went on a planned vacation to New England for four nights and did get some relief there. We returned home and our house in Abington was hotter than a sauna. I began calling A/C companies to see about it getting repaired. These were all good, honorable companies and to a man, they were recommending a complete replacement. Although I could have waited for a part for an old air conditioner to come and be installed, I eventually chose a new system. So, now, I got estimates for new systems. Danny D'Amore happened to be my last estimate. It was Friday and HOT. He would install it on Tuesday. Tuesday the 15th of July, just a few days after his estimate. So for almost a month of some of our HOTTEST weather, we, and our cat panted. Newly purchased box fans helped but 95 degrees is 95 degrees. Danny and his man installed the entire system and by 4 o'clock on that day we felt cool air. ABOUT DANNY D'AMORE: Fair priced for good equipment, an honest and complete line by line estimate, and non-stop work until they were finished. WOW! maybe it had been the heat we'd just been through but D'Amore HVAC just shined! We could not have asked for a better job by anyone. He also redid some flue piping that was oddly curved, no charge. This is a long review, but Danny D'Amore deserves it and more. I see he has a ton of 5 star reviews around the boards so he probably doesn't need this one. That said, contractors now a-days live and die by reviews we write. The summer of 25 our AC unit completely failed after changing out various parts by myself over the years. I had 2 other companies come out and look at it, and both came back relatively close in price, but timeline for repair was totally unacceptable for my situation. With a pregnant wife, and temps hitting 90+ inside the house, a fan could only do so much. I reached out to Dilling, on a recommendation from a neighbor that had owned a HVAC company but sold to another vendor. Seemed a bit off, but when we called, and spoke with the lady on the phone, I completely understood why. Her ability to sense why I was calling on a 95* day was impeccable. They were out that same day, and I do believe that the man saw the desperation in my eyes as he panned over to my pregnant wife and placed his hand on my shoulder. He not only took interest in why i had continued to fix the old heap, but was more impressed that I genuinely had no clue what I was talking about, but kept it running. I called things by the wrong names, that I had made up and he sort-of knew what part i was talking about after some explaining of where and what it looked like. His diagnosis was the same as the other two companies. It is completely dead. Replace only. but then what happened next surprised me. the guy took a few phone calls, not from other jobs, but he put out a call to help find us some better pricing. were they wholesalers? Competitors? cousins who "find" things? couldnt tell you. but what i will say is that he not only got us a great deal for a FULL UNIT, upstairs and outside, he was able to get it done within a couple short days. When the install was happening, along side of all the techs, all the people who knew what they were doing, this guy was doing the install too. not just watching. Dennis was a hero for me that day, and I've only had to call them for minor questions, that were my own stupidity for not listening initially, which I heard from my wife first. I can' t say enough good things about this company. truly. they were there when we needed them most, they made real efforts to help us with price, and held their word with timelines, and had me up and chilly in 2 total days of work. outstanding. just outstanding. oh, and its now 7/2026. in the heatwave. and its still 71* inside. no issues to report with quality of units, price, timeline, customer service, or quality of work and install. 10/10.

When I decided to air condition my home with the same mini-split systems, I took my neighbor's advice and called them. I spoke with Deon, one of the brothers who runs the business. He came to see my house within a few days, sent me a quote that same day, and I had them install four indoor units and two outside compressors in my row home. Throughout the process they were wonderful. They were honest, always on time, and worked from early until late each day to do as much as they could. I've rarely seen contractors who show up at 9am and are still working hard at 7pm. Truly amazing. They gave me an accurate and complete quote, their price was very competitive, they knew how long their work would take (my job was 4 full days of install), and they were responsive to requests and questions at any time - before, during, and after the installation. I'm really glad I decided to have them do my air conditioning installation. And I'd highly recommend them to anyone who needs to retrofit an older row house with air conditioning.
