The pork cutlet was surprisingly good, especially considering this isn't a traditional katsu restaurant. I also loved the tofu soup and kalbi combo. The soup really hit the spot, and the kalbi was flavorful and satisfying. If I had one small criticism, it would be that I'd love a larger portion of kalbi in the combo. The side dishes were good as well, with the fish cake and gamja jorim (braised potatoes) being my favorites. Overall, it was a really enjoyable meal from start to finish. Wasn't too busy when we came in as they just opened. The setting of the place is what you would expect from a Kim chee soup spot if you had been to one. Compared to our Kim chee tofu soup spots we've been to, this spot is okay. We got greeted when we entered but felt rushed by the waitress to order. Food was prepared quickly. I've been ordering out from this place for a long time now. They have really reduced their portions compared to before. I normally order the oyster soup and this time my sister and I each ordered one and they had maybe 3 pieces of tiny oysters in there with mostly tofu. This was an overall enjoyable dining experience. We ordered through Uber Eats, and the menu is quite extensive and easy to understand. The kimchi pancake was very large and easily served two people. It absolutely tasted homemade and was chock full of kimchi and vegetables. It had a very nice crispy exterior that sustained well even for a delivery order. It was not overly spicy or salty either which I really appreciated. I had never seen a pork cutlet in a Korean restaurant before, so I gave that a try. It was a large portion for the price and actually had two cutlets stacked atop each other. The pork was fairly tender although not amazingly so. The breading was pleasantly crispy, but it was slightly oilier than I am used to from Japanese style pork cutlets. It was still good overall, and it was accompanied by purple rice as well as a small salad and a creamy corn. The rice was quite good, but I did not care too much for the other two accompaniments. This is a nice local Korean spot that has a very home-style feel. I'm familiar with classic street food style tteokbokki so theirs being "healthier" with less sauce and more fresh vegetables was unique to me. It rained for a bit on a Sunday afternoon and the ambiance outside made us crave soondubu jjigae! This establishment was previously known as Made In Korea and served similar menu items, which were also tasty. We came in around 7pm and were seated right away. The interior decors have remained unchanged even though it's now under new management. Banchan | Kimchi, braised potatoes, pickled cucumbers, beans, fish cakes and sprouts came with the entrees. The side dishes were all excellent by themselves, and I could eat them with rice and lettuce, LOL. Kimchi Pancake | The edge was crispy and a bit doughy in the middle. Perhaps less batter should do the trick. The kimchi in this batter didn't have as much tangyness as it should have, but still had enough savory flavor. The sweet and tangy sauce gave it an extra boost! Chicken Teriyaki | Strips of marinated soft chicken strips came in a sizzling plate. It had a combination of sweet and savory, as well as toasty! Tofu Soup (Seafood) | Seafood broth was just right and not too salty. The seafood mix contained small pieces of mussels, squid, and clams, as well as an egg. The soup became a little creamy because of the generous amount of silken tofu chunks. The dish was accompanied by purple rice, which was both soft and nutty. Menu: Korean comfort dishes, like tofu soup, jjampong, sizzling meat and savory pancakes were on the menu. The combo dish provided sufficient servings of both meat and soup. LOVED this place! I ordered over the phone for pick up. Picked up time was about 10 minutes. There was lots of parking in the shopping center. Theyy greeted my kindly upon pick up and I was able to pay promptly. I took it home and ate there. I was so surprised and shocked by the amount of different ban chan for this bibimbap. I liked how spacious this Korean restaurant is. The dining room is large with a modern design, and the overall vibe feels open and comfortable. The interior is nicely done, so at first it feels like a place where you could relax and enjoy a good meal. For me, though, the food didn't quite match the setting. The fish was quite salty, the cold noodles were a bit soggy rather than firm and refreshing, and the kimchi pork stew tasted fairly mild. The pork in the stew also didn't have the texture I usually expect from this dish. Service also felt a little unsure. Really had a pleasant experience here. I believe that this restaurant used to be called Korean Eatery, so maybe new owners? The food is equally as good as the previous restaurant, only difference I think is the portion sizing and the menu. Banchan and rice comes with evert entree, so that is a plus. Rice was a bit purple;purple rice, perhaps? I ordered the Beef Tofu Soup and it was to die for. Such mildly bold flavors (if that makes sense), and just enough soup to keep you satisfied, but not overly stuffed. Our servers were kind and prompt. They checked on us often. My husband and I are huge fans of Korean food and we found our new go-to spot. We've come here several times with friends or just ourselves and we always are seated immediately. We love getting a combo of spicy tofu soup with kimchi and galbi which always comes with banchan and rice. We also love getting an order of their corn cheese which comes on a hot plate so its perfectly charred and melty. Very disappointing experience. I visited with my 3-year-old child. The first time, I ordered a combo meal and a bowl of noodles and received six side dishes. The second time, I ordered less food--just noodles and fried rice--but the server got my order wrong at first, and the fried rice was extremely salty. Today was a high of 96° ugh. I actually came out here on my way home from just running some errands. The place has a classy feel, but i went in there with clothes that doesnt match and a friggin scooter. Walking in with the scooter alone, one of the ladies working there walked up to me with a smile. I simply said "dine in for 1...." And I was being a bit timid because I was definitely not restaurant presentable, but they sat me right up front and center, and even adjusted some chairs so I can put my scooter out of the way. Think that was considerate? We're not even at the food part yet! Once I saw that they had cold noodles, I just knew why my subconscious told me to stop there. Then I saw the pictures of their korean bbq, specifically the Galbi (short rib), and I was just torn. It's too hot of a day to have a really big appetite.. Oh. OH? WHATS THIS?! I see on their menu that they actually have a Glabi + Cold Noodle combo and it was significantly less expensive than I would expect. With a $35 price point for the combo **NOTE IT** I wasn't expecting much... See that door in one of my photos? Thats where my expectations went because DAAAAAAAAANGGGGGGGGGGG them short ribs was marinated flawlessly and cooked to absolute perfection! I would chase every single bite of beef with a mouth full of cold noodles and it was absolute gourmand bliss I still had some soup left, but as i said, i came with a scooter so packing that for home wasnt happening.. so i was a little sad about that. As I was finishing up, they were so nice, I actually just went up to the counter to pay instead of having them bring me the check. My bill was only $29! YOOOOOOO WHATTTT?! It wasn't a mistake, i even brought it up to the gentleman at the counter who took my payment. At this point, you would think that the great service would already be done, right? Nope. As far as they were concerned, I was still a patron at their location. I went to grab my scooter, and the busser actually stopped what he was doing, walked slightly faster than me toward the door to hold it open for me. This man really stopped his work, walked 15-20ft just to hold the door open for me? That service actually had me feeling special by the time i turned by scooter back on. Another thing I want to add is that toward the end of my meal, a family of 5 actually walked in. 2 adults and 3 small children. The person who took my payment was also their server and he pulled up with high chairs for the children before they even got settled. Like seriously, I don't think I've ever seen a Korean Restaurant outside of NJ NY and LA that has this level of mastery when it comes to service. We ordered the galbi ($34.99) to share & we both got tofu soup ($13.99 each) - I had the beef & he had the seafood. They also brought out the usual side dishes that you would expect at a Korean restaurant. 1. Galbi - DELICIOUS!! They brought out a big plate of short rib & it was so good! It's basically a cozy tofu house where you can get all the Korean staples--kalbi, bulgogi, spicy pork, and of course a nice variety of tofu soups. The vibe is super relaxed and the staff is really friendly--we hung out for quite a while after finishing up, and no one rushed us out. The owner even came by to say hello, which was a nice touch. Normally we don't go to non-ayce bbq places since the items we would have ordered are both available but I do expect the food to be better when it was ala carte like at Korea house. I got the bibim naengmyun and my husband got the soondobu with beef. The beef is ground beef. The soup was flavorful but I wouldn't say it a whole league better than what we get at Ayce bbq places. The cold noodles, were better, the ice beef broth was very nice, some umami but not very salty so it's good. The noodles were not fresh made haha. Anyway a good easy going Korean food option if you don't eat a lot and just want one entree. But these two dishes are both $15 each so with $15 more you can have ayce with a lot more options. Me and my korean friend dined for late lunch on this mellow spot on a weekday for the first time. There were probably only a few costumers so it wasnt loud/noisy so service was fast and the food came quick. Place is clean and well kept. We started with Boricha or oksusu cha (barley tea or corn tea) we asked for boricha. It was nice to warm up your belly for a good meal. The barley flavor was very distinct. We ordered -Vegetable Soondubu Jjigae (soft tofu soup) ordered it mild for spiciness level. It was really good and pair it with purple rice. kimchijeon (kimchi pancake) was large its good for 3- 4 people if you have other food on the menu. dolsot bibimbap (hot stone bowl bibimbap bibim means mixed, bap means rice) was delicious. Great mix of flavors once you add the sauce. Make sure to let it sit for a bit to make the rice crisper. For me it tastes better.l crispier. Overall meal was excellent. I was there around 3pm on a Friday and when I first arrived, there was only one other person other than my family dining at the table, however, in less than 15 min. or so, two more parties came in. My family and I ordered spicy beef soup, cold noodles, hot stone bi bim bap, mandu, and japchae. Mandu and japchae came out first as they are appetizers on the menu. I especially liked those two. The cold noodles were typical (it didn't particularly stand out in flavor or anything) as well as the spicy beef soup which wasn't all that spicy (that was a plus for me ). Hot stone bi bim bap came in a huge hot stone plate with a wooden plate to hold it underneath. It was quite a presentation. I've only done take out so can't say anything about a dine in experience, but the one time I did pick up my food, I had a really positive encounter. The owner(s) are super nice and packaged my big order perfectly. Favorite is definitely the yukgaejang but I have also tried the galbi, fried mandoo, spicy pork, and bulgolgi. I'm so excited to find a nice sit-down Korean restaurant that doesn't center around the typical "cook it yourself" Korean BBQ experience. They have a nice spread of traditional Korean dishes like kimchi jeon and bibim nang myun in addition to popular favorites like bulgogi and bibim bap. I placed a carry out order of the Galbi and Tofu Soup Combo, kimchi jeon, and bibim nang myun. They packed our order up so carefully; I seriously never saw a carry-out order placed so nicely and securely in a box like that before. My husband and I thought it was funny the kimchi pancake came in a pizza box, but it actually worked perfectly, lol! The bibim nang myun was excellent! Sauce was delicious and noodles were cooked perfectly along with flavorful kimchi toppings and egg. Most of the time, I dislike the meat added on top of bibim nang myun dishes and end up discarding it after a bite, but this one I actually ate for once because it was better than usual. Kimchi pancake (kimchi jeon) was solid, and the dipping sauce was really tasty. Banchan selection was pretty good, although I wasn't a fan of the kimchi (cabbage); I thought it had an off-taste. The fish cake and cucumber kimchi were my favorite. I got the galbi for my husband, and he said it was better than galbi he'd tried at other Korean places. I didn't get to try it this time since the portion was on the smaller side (maybe because it was a combo item) and I didn't want to steal any if his dish, but definitely will next time! I haven't tried the tofu soup yet, but stored it in the fridge and will try it today with the delicious sticky rice left over. I'm excited to try it out! I forgot to mention that the service was awesome! The nice man who took my order was very friendly and helpful. I was also surprised how relatively quickly the order was ready; it was probably only a 10-15-minute wait for all that food, packed up so nicely.
