Not too shabby. I pulled up to the empty parking lot for dinner service for takeaway. I was quite surprised at how empty the place was for a restaurant that size but that did not dissuade me from trying one of the only Korean restaurants in a 20 mile radius. The food was simply excellent for sitting in my car for 30 minutes before consumption. The seafood pancake was still crunchy and not oily. It was generously portioned with seafood and the size is good as an entree alone! The bulgogi bibimbap was my actual entree and it was so tasty, I had no issue finishing it. It is not generously portioned with bulgogi but I suppose because of the history of the dish, it is meant to be like that. The banchan was excellent and brilliantly displayed in this quad tray plastic container. I am glad that, despite being so far away from the boroughs, you can still find excellent Korean far in the middle of Long Island. read more

The perilla leaves and Korean green peppers were amazing. Make sure to ask for them and wrap them with your lettuce leaves. +They use charcoal to grill your meats, which adds to the original Korean BBQ experience. +All of the side banchan dishes are legit some of the best I've tasted. +The restaurant dining area is spacious and clean. +The layout of the restaurant is pretty nice and not too noisy. +The meats were well-marinated and the quality of the cuts are good. +This is a legit traditional Korean BBQ restaurant better than what you would find in Flushing, NY right on Long Island (Commack). -The hot stone mixed rice bowl wasn't as hot as I would have liked, so I didn't get the crispy, near-burnt rice called nurungji. I like to have a thin layer of nice and crispy at the bottom of the bowl to scrape out throughout the meal, to enjoy some crunchy texture while sampling a spinning table of flavors in every single spoonful. -The soups were a little too salty for my health. -The soybean soup could've been better, a little too greasy from pork or beef brisket. This place was so good I came twice in a row, which is totally unusual for me. Wednesday was chill, but Thursday evening was popping. I have been to so many Korean restaurants, some of famous restaurants taste great but too sweet or too much seasoning, but this place is perfect. Finally got a chance to try this Korean bbq spot my daughter and I went to lunch we got the short rib galbi which in my opinion is always the way to go. Our first time at this restaurant --the second time at a Korean BBQ. The staff here cooks the food --at your table --instead of you doing it yourself. That is a nice thing because the meats were cooked to a perfect temperature --and you didn't have to worry about messing it up. The boneless steak was flavorful with a dipping sauce and wrapped in lettuce. The pork belly was nice and gained flavor as time went on. The dipping sauce for this was a nice salt sauce. The staff was friendly The garden in front is a nice touch as they actually serve some of the vegetables right from the garden -after it goes to the kitchen of course The crowd was surprisingly strong for a Monday night ... Not many places to get Korean food except here and Hmart on the island. Overall: I don't know why the reviews are so sporadic. For the prices of the non kbbq food the Korean dishes and portions are perfect. It is the best place to get Korean food in Suffolk thats not H-mart. Food: came for lunch menu. The banchan was small though. Scallion pancake was huge for two people. The Rice Cake Soup was a big portion for two people. Had the Stone Bibimbap and it was a huge portion for me. The price is not bad for the amount you are getting. Service: The lady who helped us was super kind and was prompt with our questions and filling our waters. We go to the restaurant &/or order takeout from them 1-2x per month. This is a true mom & pop restaurant and their flavors are SPOT ON! You can tell they REALLY CARE about making good food. Tastes just like mom or grandma made it. So special. Bonus: place is also clean and open and airy. Even had friends from out of town come and they LOVED IT! We love Korean Grill! Thrilled to have a spot like this in the area. Very authentic (aside from the bottles of A-1 I'm guessing those not familiar with KBBQ seasonings asked for), fresh, and delicious, and the owners are so nice. It's real full charcoal-grilled Korean BBQ which is hard to find around here, even in Queens. The meat quality is excellent, the marinades are on point and well balanced - flavorful but not too sweet and not too salty. They make all their banchan side dishes from scratch and even grow their own chiles in the front of the restaurant for their kimchi! They even make their own maekgolli rice alcohol in a variety of flavors. The tabletop BBQ is phenomenal and very authentic, but so are their kitchen dishes. The soon dubu jjigae (spicy soft tofu soup) and dolsot bibimbap are some of my favorite non-BBQ dishes. I just wish they had chadolbaegi (thinly sliced brisket) and the pickled radish slices. read more

Hooray! Suffolk County finally has an amazing Korean Restaurant. I have been waiting so long for this to happen. The BBQ is charcoal which makes the grilled gogi meats more flavorful and authentic. We had beef bulgogi, Kalbi and pork bulgogi. We loved them all! The Banchan dishes were many-authentic and delicious- my mom would have approved of them all. The jigae and dolsot bibinbap were perfect. Service was outstanding, host was inviting and so nice. Will definitely be back. Thank you for coming to Suffolk County! We've never been to a Korean Grill before, so we didn't know what to expect. We found a nice, clean, spacious restaurant with a hole in the center of every table. That's where the hot coals go! We were served a variety of vegetables harvested right from their garden: spinach, sprouts, lettuce leaves, etc, and chose boneless beef ribs and shrimp as our proteins. We also ordered a seafood pancake - big enough for two. The charcoal grilled beef and shrimp were delicious. Along with the vegetables, pancake, and excellent tableside service, it was a memorable experience. Unfortunately, this Saturday afternoon lunch was very costly. Was a little disappointed with no perilla leaves in the ssam, but I'll live . Also got the kimchi stew and seafood pancake. Kimchi stew will easily last 5 meals as it's some yummy, but strong, stew so small doses of yumminess is all you need. Seafood pancake was not as crisp as I'd like, but as expected with delivery and condensation from piping hot food. Nothing a couple minutes in the air fryer couldn't fix. Just really a great food. Just came back from a wonderful delicious dinner here. It's so clean and bright inside. The servers were friendly and attentive! The owner informed us about how they grow their own lettuces and other produce in their garden. They also use charcoal in their grills! To start out, 반찬 "banchan" are small side dishes served along Korean cuisine. I grew up tasting many different types of banchan and I am happy to say the Korean grill serves some of the most delicious and freshest banchan I've ever had. Crunchy, fresh, and so flavorful. The Korean chives pancakes was absolutely amazing. One bite of the crispy, savory, and warm pancake immediately brought me back to my childhood, devouring my mom's home cooked meals at our kitchen table. On chillier evenings, I crave the steaming hot tofu stew because it simply warms my soul. It is served in a traditional stone bowl, which helps retain the heat so that every bite feels like it just came off the stove. Pairs perfectly with a bowl of rice. What more can you ask for? Since I'm a vegetarian, I can't comment much on the beef brisket (which my dad ordered), but he and my mom ate it so quickly with sheer delight on their faces. They finished every last bit! Lastly, the decor and service are absolutely wonderful. The ambiance is bright, cheerful, and homey. The waiters are attentive and kind.
