I really enjoyed the miso soup and hibachi. The fried rice was a bit bland but the portion sizes were huge. Our server wasn't very animated. The guy cooking behind him was animated and friendly and interacted a lot with the table, but our chef was much more subdued. The food was good but they service took forever. We came here to celebrate Father's Day as we thought it would be a fun experience and it definitely met our expectations. Atmosphere: The place is nice and clean and pretty big in size. They have a hibachi section but also a regular area as well. The decor is nice. In the hibachi section there is a lot of hibachi areas so it makes for a nice set up where you don't feel crowded. Price: Fairly reasonable priced especially for the portion size. We got a salad with our Hibachi plate which was nice. Food: We got the veg gyoza which was good but it didn't stand out either. The Fried Tofu Bao was amazing! I would go back just for that. It was well flavored and the spicy mayo and bbq sauce went well with it. The vegetable hibachi exceeded expectations. Some of us got the noddles and others got the rice and in both causes the sauces and flavors were spot on. The only caveat was that they couldn't make it spicy for us but did give us sauce on the side. Service: Service was great. Everyone was very friendly and the hibachi chef put on a great show for us. I haven't been to a Hibachi place in maybe 10 years, I guess group dining is just not my thing but we were celebrating a birthday and this is where the birthday boy wanted to go. Good call on his part. It was fun! My daughter and I split a sushi roll that was very good. I'm not sure what it was called because she ordered it but it had mango. Very fresh and delicious. We got the requisite soup and salad which is always good and we also split the vegetable hibachi with noodles instead of rice. We both liked it. I thought that the vegetables could have been cooked longer but I guess that is subjective, my daughter was happy with the degree of doneness. We were with 6 other people, 4 of who were very happy to catch the food that was flipped into their mouths! They got various versions of chicken, steak and shrimp and they said it was good. In the end, we didn't order any dessert but the hostess was nice enough to bring out cake with a candle and they sang happy birthday. The hostess and the waitress were very friendly and kind. Came here as a last resort on christmas eve and they took us as their last clients! How kind of them, the service great and the food was good. Although everything was covered in soy sauce and a bit too salty, i'd probably come back here if it came down to that. I came here with my family over Memorial Day weekend and there was no wait to be seated! The restaurant was huge and there was such fun music playing in the background. The service was excellent as the waiters were very attentive. We all sat for the hibachi meal and I got the chicken hibachi. The chef was very interactive with us and walked us through everything he was doing! The portions were also huge and I was very filled after the meal. I will say the chicken wasn't as flavorful as I thought it'd be and the veggies weren't well-salted, so I wish that was a bit better. We came out on a rainy Saturday night for a good meal and also because one in our party had never been to a Hibachi restaurant before. We thought it a good idea to treat them out to the show and spectacle of having food prepared before them. We weren't disappointed and everyone there seemed intent on making sure we had a good time. The bartender chatted us up while we waited for the rest of our party to show up as we were a few minutes early and offered us a drink. When we were all accounted for, they promptly seated us up front by the window and after a friendly server came and gathered our drink orders, answered some questions on the menu. Soup and salad came promptly and then the fun began. Between our newbie to the experience and out thirteen month old daughter, I'm not sure who had a better time. Flames and twirling utensils- what could be better? All of the food was really good and cooked perfectly. The leftover fried rice was just as delicious the next day. Dessert was different and between the fried ice cream and the deep fried cheesecake, I'm not sure which is my favorite. Both were delicious. Came to this restaurant for my nephew's post bachelor party. There were about ten of us. We had 8:30 reservations and we had to wait for our table. The previous party wasn't leaving, I guess they were having too good of a time. We only waited about 20 minutes which was fine as were socializing with each other. Then we were called for our table which was really a Hibachi Grill we sat around. Even though it was now after 9 PM the place was still hopping. Then our waitress Tammy came and took all our orders. She brought us our drinks, I just had a Kendall Jackson Chardonnay, then our salad came out. I don't know what kind of dressing was on it but it was really good. Next was the onion soup, also very good. For our main course Kevin our chef came out verified all our orders and stating the cooking magic the Hibachi chefs do. I ordered the Chicken and Shrimp with Fried Rice and vegetables. All the food was really good and Kevin kept us entertained while cooking our food. It was great watching him work the grill. Even though we were there a while the time just flew. We all a had a great time. Even though it was just our waitress and the chef all ran very smooth, they were efficient and courteous. Foods great , sushi's 6-7/10 dependent on what you order - seaweed can be a bit crispier ( I felt it was kinda " soggy" ). Bartenders are nice but Service is terrible for table service , highly suggest sitting at the hibachi table - waiters need more training / experience. No refills on anything unless asked, just a very odd overall waiting experience as I frequent a place closer to me that is more on top of it. App plates ( empty ) weren't taken away until we were finished with our entrees. Table area is small though , but should still be waited on appropriately. I've come here for hibachi a few times and it's always been good. The other night I went and was craving sushi so i tried one of their special rolls. I got the toasty fuji roll. It was tasty - but not worth the price. I think i'll just stick to hibachi there from now on...i got the fried rice too which is ALWAYS amazing. Just left there tonight. This place was terrible. The food was beyond bland. It had no flavor. They didn't use any garlic in the noodles the steak had no flavor. I don't even think they put garlic on it. I never asked for salt in a hibachi house. This place was so bad it needed help I asked for salt. The people next to us left their food. They asked them if they wanted to take it home and they said no I was so disappointed, the service was bad. The place was kind of empty. He never came back to check on us. I had to get up to ask for chopsticks. I had to get up to ask for a 2nd cup of green tea. It's just not someplace you ever want to go and it was freezing by the door where we were there was cold wind coming in what a disappointment because I was so excited to try this place. After coming here tonight 'with my boyfriend, we both walked out feeling awful. The food was sub par. The service was absolutely terrible. The waitress rushed us to order our drinks and food. It was around 9:15 when we walked in which was on the later side so we made sure we had enough time, they said they close at 11:30. We ordered drinks and the mojito we ordered was absolutely horrible, tasted like dirty sink water and had no mint. The waitress never came over to see how we were doing or offer us more water or see if we needed anything. They up charged for fried rice when we sat for hibachi, which hibachi is supposed to come with fried rice. They started to clean up the chairs and sweep around us, continuously banging them so loud where I couldn't hear the conversation next to me. This one offers large space at each grill and a private dinning area if you have a large enough group and reserve it. When you get the grill you make your order and I got the chicken which came with an onion soup, ginger salad, and I paid the extra for the fried rice which is worth it! When the chef arrived he put on a great show and was squirting sake in everyone mouth! He was doing flip tricks and throwing the eggs all over the place it really is dinner and a show! This place is considered one step up from Chuckie Cheese..let me explain. Came here on a Saturday night, located in a prime position: across from the mall and close walking distance to central main street, so I can understand how popular this place is among patrons. But apparently this is a great place to host kids' parties. So many children running around like it's a playground, snot nosed and all, which can be annoying for grown ups trying to eat here. My party of two decided to skip the hibachi tables for this exact reason, and retreated to one of the two tables next to the bar, which was colder than a NYC night. Server was attentive and quick, and in no time we were able to order. Drinks: I had the "Markhattan" which was not mixed well but was strong enough to temporarily overlook the snot nosed kids. Apps: the pork gyoza dumplings were really good. If I had know this would be the only thing I would enjoy that night I would've filled up on them. They ran out of the lobster pizza. Entrees: honey chipotle ribs which was doused in salt and made to cause hypertensive crisis. It also tasted like it was microwaved, leaving you with a weird after taste. The fried rice with egg was also nothing to rave about: unlike the salty ribs, we're bland beyond belief! Overall bill had me take a shot of my last bit of Markhattan. $70 + for a very underwhelming meal and dining experience I won't be back. read more

I tried Samurai Hibachi due to the pandemic, and boy am I glad I did. This place is absolute perfection! We ordered through a third party app, and it was quick and easy. The food was delivered in a timely fashion, and was hot when it arrived. The bag was sturdy and sealed well. A definite plus in my book during these times. The presentation was lovely! Everything was included, and they will accommodate special orders. They gave us extra sauces, chopsticks and even a menu for future purposes. The clear onion soup was a light broth with an assortment of vegetables. It was a nice starter. The chicken yakitori was absolutely delicious, with just the right amount of seasoning and sauce. The fried chicken gyoza were also very good and included a zesty infused orange type sauce. Very well done. The chicken tempura is the absolute star of the show. Nice and crispy on the outside, with tender white meat chicken on the inside. The sauce they included really enhanced the flavor. It was out of this world. This will definitely be my go to dish at this restaurant. The spicy tuna roll was very tasty, with all of the flavors softly melding together perfectly. Their chicken friend rice and hibachi rice were also a hit. Even the brown rice was superior to most. The portion sizes are generous, so do not be discouraged by the price. You definitely get what you pay for here, and the quality is superior. They even had pouches of mixed drinks. Very sweet and fruity, but they complemented the flavors of the meal in an extraordinary fashion. I definitely recommend that you try this establishment. You will not be disappointed. Nice place, convenient location in Huntington village.. food was fresh.. chef was friendly... only 2 stars because I have been to Tony's Asian Fusion in East Quogue (not the other two Tonys in WH or HB) and to their Hibachi tables in the back -when they grill filet mignon, lobster and fried rice ... you are definitely not in the same league here. Samurai is a less dramatic experience .. and there is no way you want to even think of having the waiter recommend a few of his favorite tall tropical drinks here while sitting in this village.. like you do out in the Hamptons.. so.. try this.. but the little cubed bits of filet mignon are anything but inspiring .. with sauteed shrimp.. not memorable.. not at all... this is a business.. and you feel that distinction. Excellent hibachi mainstay in Huntington, Long Island. Despite some of the reviews about the quality of the food, my party found it to be excellent and extremely well done/tasty! Fried rice was perfectly seasoned, and had excellent texture. The fillet was succulent and tender. Chicken was perfectly done, with lots of flavor. The shrimp was fresh, but wasn't as much of a fan as the other meats. Basic Japanese salad with ginger dressing was par for the course, and the onion/miso soup was traditional. Only recommendation I would have is when visiting during the winter season, try not to be seated by a window. The insulation is terrible, and you will be frigid.
