my friend was craving sushi late and recommended we go here. we arrived after 1 am and were the only ones there. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. The staff is so nice and great customer service. We ordered miso soup and the dragon roll. Ive never seen sushi come out so fast. It was really good. I definitely will be back and love that they are open late. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a good amount of seating and also have tvs to watch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

First time ordering from this place. I ordered thru GrubHub on the Yelp app. It is not a high end sushi place but it is solid. The kind of place you order for girl dinner or a Netflix marathon. The fish was a tad thin but I am happy to now have a new, casual, easy, affordable sushi spot. Delivery was perfect. I tipped so the delivery person would come into the building and he did just that. They gave all the appropriate chopsticks, napkins and soy sauce.

Haven't visited this establishment in decay. It's still here. Food was delicious. Service was great too. No happy hour.

Late night sushi! Good enough for being open super late. We arrived around 12:40am and they said they are taking last orders though, so don't go too close to 1am. Food was pretty good except their tempura seemed really old and stale, and their scallop nigiri did not taste fresh. I loved the time they put into decorating the place though- one piece, totoro, kikis delivery service, and many more anime related decors can be found. Quite fun!

I love that this place is open late night even after I get off of work late. The fish, Katsu and salmon balls are my favorite.

This is my favorite sushi spot and y'all gotta try it if you haven't been!! Easily my favorite because of the good food, and the place being decorated in anime!! It's fairly priced but everything is worth the price and wait! If you're stuck and don't know what to order, I recommend starting with the BBQ mussels and a roll of your choice! But if you want to try a new roll, I recommend you get the Oh Sexy roll. It's wrapped in rice paper and feels so clean and light. It's what I get every time I visit, in addition to another roll! I'll definitely be back!!

Love coming here! Great service that's fast and friendly. Love the decor and homage to Haha Miyazaki with the pictures and movies. Food is amazing! Every roll ordered is delicious. Love starting off with hamachi Kama and trying new rolls each time. Just like any neighborhood in the Bay Area, you take parking with caution nowadays. But I will still come here on a late night. They're worth it.

I'd agree with the 3.5 star rating for this restaurants. The prices are slightly expensive but that's about right for the post pandemic SF Bay Area. The fish was not super fresh and was kind of dry but it's acceptable. You can tell by the color because it looks kind of dull. No octopus or egg or shrimp or eel with the nigiri combo

I decided to venture out and order something that wasn't one of those items, and honestly, I was underwhelmed. (Spoiler: it was the scallop roll.) It just wasn't for me. That said, their sashimi sets are fresh, and their baked rolls are consistently good, so I'd recommend sticking with those. SERVICE: 9/10 Friendly, attentive staff who made for a pleasant dining experience. AMBIANCE: 9/10 The restaurant is very clean, but my favorite part is the outdoor patio. The East Bay-inspired murals add so much character, and the fresh flowers make the space feel inviting. They also have outdoor heaters when it gets chilly, so it's a great spot to enjoy a meal outside. Parking can be a bit of a pain, but overall it's still a solid sushi spot that I wouldn't mind coming back to.

I've been to the SF location a long time ago and have been waiting for them to open up on piedmont ave. Signature Ramen 5/5 Broth is very rich and flavorful. The Chashu is super tender. Noodles are made fresh and chewy. Everything about this bowl is perfect. Fried enoki on top gives an extra umami. This is best for first time goers. Chicken Karaage 5/5 Crunchy and crispy Japanese fried chicken. Meat is super tender and juicy. Sauce drizzled on top for a flavor bomb Hand Rolls 4/5 It's simple and delicious. Hokkaido Scallop 5/5 This was an absolute banger. Super tender scallops. Service 5/5 Staff are very friendly and checks in regularly. Ambience 3.8/5 Beware it's a very small space to dine and can feel cramped and loud when it gets very crowded. But despite that, it's so worth getting a bowl of ramen. I highly recommend this spot to all foodies and ramen lovers. I usually go solo so there's always seating available for myself even when it's extremely busy.

Location- easily accesible in off Piedmont Ave, found parking alongside an adjacent neighborhood street that was free. I went around 430pm on a weekday. 2. Staff/Vibe- very friendly and throughout the service so many stopped by to check-in. Waters were constantly topped off and food was delivered very promptly. The restaurant itself is very intimate and tabletop dividers are largely used to shared tables. It was a really nice approach. I wasn't a major fan of the chairs for the tall tables. I was hoping for some more ergonomically friendly. Food- SIGNATURE RAMEN- 5/5. So good. The broth was so good I think I drank it all before eating any ramen and toppings. It was a wonderfully hearty ramen with a balance of fresh and simple ingredients. This was perfect and allowed the delicious broth to really be the star. LAMB RAMEN. 5/5. If you like south indian curries then this is a must. The dense cumin taste, fresh onions and lamb made this ramen feel very familiar. The flavours were so wonderfully constructed on this. VEGAN KAARAGE MUSHROOM. Made to be reminiscent of fried chicken, these were very pleasant and paired with our broth. I would order this again. I am interested in knowing the preparation method for this as the inside was piping hot while the outside was just warm- almost like it was reheated. I would like these to be crispier with a bit more light seasoning. Overall looking forward to the next visit!

The quality of the fish was excellent, everything tasted fresh, and you could really appreciate the simplicity of each hand roll. The rice was well-seasoned, and every bite highlighted the freshness of the ingredients. The premium hand rolls were definitely the stars, fatty, flavorful, if you're a fan of uni and wagyu you have to try it. The Maguro Ponzu and Tuna Tartare was refreshing and light, it's a great appetizer to share between hand rolls. That said, I have to be honest, it is kinda pricey. The premium hand rolls add up quickly, so it's definitely more of a treat-yourself kind of meal rather than an everyday sushi spot. Still, if you're willing to spend on fresh hand rolls, it's worth checking them out.

I usually assume veggie handrolls in a set are more of a filler item, but this one was so savory and flavorful that it honestly deserves its own little spotlight. The absolute star of the meal, though, was the Best Catch Box: negitoro, uni, ikura, and Hokkaido scallops all in one bowl?! Literally all of my favorite things together for only $29. I think about coming back for that little box at least every other day. Moral of the story: the TikToks were right. Come here ASAP.

I could eat 2 of these with a bowl of rice and it would be a hearty meal! + Chicken karaage was solid--crispy, good portion, and a nice appetizer. It's basically a Japanese version of chicken strips that is way better than nuggets. + Salmon sashimi for the kids never disappoints. ~ Chirashi bowl was fresh and filling, though standard compared to other spots. There was a lot of rice which if we knew that we probably would've skipped the extra bowl I ordered to eat with my lamb chops. For the somewhat premium pricing, I wish they provided fresh chopped wasabi. ~ Stuffed mushroom skewer was just okay--tasty but nothing special. I guess for mushrooms it does taste kinda like a chicken meatball which could be a good thing. Service/Ambiance (4 stars) + Attentive and thoughtful service, especially accommodating a broken foot. They let my family wait at the bar instead of standing. + Ambiance is that classic Japanese vibe, busy but comfortable.
