A small late night stop on our walk to our hotel... worth it! Ended up just doing the basic Nutella/strawberry/whip. The waffle was light with some crispier edges, fresh strawberries and the whipped cream came from a counter top whip cream machine made with real whipping cream instead of from store bought can. Loved it!

So good we went here twice in our short visit to Vancouver! Plain waffle with whip cream or create your own waffle with ice cream and chocolate were our repeat order. It's a cute & quaint spot with fun Norwegian words to learn. Order at a kiosk, one person making the waffles, and maybe two chairs inside to sit, and smell sweet cinnamony toasty waffles in the making.

Came here with a group of friends, and we were so glad we did. It's not every day you find a place dedicated entirely to Norwegian waffles. What a unique concept and such a cozy, welcoming spot! I had the Old Faithful waffle sandwich (strawberry, banana, Nutella, almond slices), and it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly crisp yet soft waffles, fresh ingredients, and that perfect balance of sweetness. Everyone in our group loved what they ordered. Prices vary depending on what you get. They can be on the higher side, but everything feels worth it for the quality. Make sure you bring patience if you do come here, though, and I don't recommend coming here if in a rush. Each waffle is made fresh to order, and you can really taste the care and time that goes into it. Totally worth the wait. Can't wait to come back and try more if in the Vancouver area again anytime soon!

    I Scream (?)

I forgot what the specific thing we ordered was called but it was something related to 'ice cream' in the name. (Like the "I Scream"? idk) Anyways... The waffle itself tasted like the frozen eggo waffles from the supermarket (like not very thick or fluffy - it tasted reheated even though I literally saw them make it... so that was strange). The ice cream sandwich was also meh - also, I'm pretty sure the menu said ice cream, which is why I thought there was going to be actual ice cream :( Overall, not a great dessert. It wasn't the most expensive (around $10 or so?), so maybe I'd consider trying a different option if I ever came again? But I won't been keen to do so any time soon :/

Delicious hole in the wall in downtown Vancouver. Great selection of sweet and savory waffle sandwiches. Good service too.

Was looking for a sweet treat to end the night and thankfully came across this cute place on the walk. We were quickly greeted and ordered up front (optional kiosk ordering). We got the Pebbles Reese, Chocolate Dream, and I-Scream sweet waffles. DELICIOUS! And very big sizes. I would definitely recommend this place for any sweet tooth. They also have savory waffles, which I will have to come back to try one day!

    Grilled chicken club

KOS Waffles is a small shop with a few seating options available. I ended up deciding to get the grilled chicken club waffle (with the ranch dressing on the side) and thought it was okay. I quite enjoyed the bacon and cheese but found the chicken a bit dry. I think I enjoyed the original Waffleland a bit more but found KOS an interesting concept.

Best thing that I ate in Vancouver! Their waffles are shaped like hearts, very iconic of Norway, and they are folded like a taco. Then they placed caramelized cinnamon, powdered sugar, and whipped cream in it. Delicious! It was flavorful without being too sweet or too heavy.

Great waffle sandwiches - had the chicken club a blend of sweetness from the waffle with a great sandwich tucked inside. Glad we stopped.

I'm a sucker for a good multi-roaster cafe, and Revolver is a fantastic one. They serve up beans from all over, and they do it right, thanks to staff with eyes (and noses) for detail. Barista Soho and I chatted about NYC[1], and he told me La Cabra has a bakery there[2]. Savored a lovely pourover from Toronto[3], served hot. That very same day, I returned and had a decaf espresso that slapped[4]. Ample seating. A fair bit of natural light somehow makes it into the shop. Good for a date, coworking (especially in their next door "Archive" space), catching up with friends AND discovering coffee from around the world. Find this shop in Gastown, a short walk from the SeaBus station. [1] Yes, his name was Soho. Not SoHo. [2] Saved for my next trip to the East Village. [3] Saw Dak on the menu, but I'll be in Amsterdam sooner rather than later... [4] No idea what it was. Besides, the menu'll change before I find out[5]. [5] I love footnotes!

Revolver is what I'd consider a multi-roaster shop with a focus on the coffee first. The bar is made up of high quality small batch grinders, perfect for grinding fresh for each cup, and a long line of pour over setups to give each cup the attention it deserves. Behind the bar you can see an Aiden by Fellows for quick batch brewing quality beans to the standards of the specialty coffee association or quick recipe testing. The menu is predominantly descriptions of the coffees they're currently brewing with a few classic and simple coffee preparations like a latte and a cortado, but nothing too involved because they focus on the coffee itself. I really liked how they separated the coffees by flavor profile so you could key in on the type of beans and roast you prefer. They offered several natural, honey, and anerobic options, which made me happy. My friend isn't a coffee geek like I am, so it was fun to see which he gravitated to and enjoy that alongside my choice, which was totally opposite. The barista side of the shop is long and narrow, with the bar predominating, but there's a great sitting area right next door that I didn't even notice until we were leaving. I'd hoped to buy a bag of beans to take with me but none of the ones we tried were available. Good sign I suppose, but sad for me. Next time!

We ordered the following: Tiramisu Latte Caprese Bite London Fog Apple Cookie Cherry Matcha Tonic Tiramisu Sea Salt Caramel Gelato The Cherry Matcha Tonic was pretty but wasn't too crazy about the flavor. I should have just gone with my original gut instinct and chosen a hot beverage like Hojicha Latte or something like that. I was sort of thirsting for something cooler for a change though, and the Cherry Matcha Tonic was the first "cool" drink that caught my eye so I decided to go for it. Won't do that again. Everything else was good though. The Sea Salt Caramel Gelato was the star of the show! In the store there's a sign beneath their gelato section that says "Canadian Gelato Champion". I believe it after tasting the Sea Salt Caramel! They had Nama Chocolates too. I was tempted to get some but...only so much a person's wallet and waistline can handle at one time. Will try the Nama Chocolate some other time. You can order in person here, or you can place an "Express" order at the Kiosk. We tried both ways of ordering. Ordered at the counter first and then after finished my Cherry Matcha Tonic decided I wanted to try the Sea Salt Gelato so then tried ordering that from the Kiosk. Most of the parking in this area is paid but I lucked out and got a free spot right around the corner from this place!

I could tell even from outside that it's a popular work and study type of coffee shop with your free wifi and outlets. I hope this post doesn't give it away and make it way too crowded for me to find a seat next time. There's a steady flow of people visiting the stores while I was there on a weekday between late afternoon and early evening but there's always extra seat for anyone new looking for a desk to work or chat with friends. A few could be better are the pricing and temperature. They offer free oat milk substitute and -$0.35 for bringing your own cup but no more employee discount. And it was so cold in there, I could see a lot of people kept their winter jackets on, I don't think it's a heating issue but the constant windy seems to suggest the AC is on rather than the heater, oh wells Im out of there now. For that reason, unless I'm bundled up, it'll be a hard sale to be back again! I got a hojicha latte and it as pretty good, perfect sweetness and temperature for my cold with no ice. The barista was super great to work with.
