***Attention*** This place is FIRE the lady behind the counter was super friendly taking my order. They have a tv that was playing a hilarious old Mexican tv comedy show and they have vintage pictures on the walls it's very homey! I always judge a place by the refried beans always have always will! Needless to say this place has an amazing Bean and Cheese burrito. I found my new go-to spot for California burritos! I've lived near this taco shop nearly my entire life and never noticed it. It's kind of hidden. I went to Seafood City and as I parked, I noticed this taco shop, looked up the yelp reviews, and they were pretty positive, especially for their CA burritos. I've been looking for a new CA burrito spot since the ones at Lolita's have become smaller and contain more French fries than meat. $15 for the CA burrito here was higher than I expected but it's massive, contains plenty of meat, and has great flavor. Tiny spot in a shopping center next to Seafood City. Ran in for a quick to go order. Ordered rolled taquitos and a cocido special. Taquitos were really good--crispy and just enough filling. I tried Don Pedro's but it was so dry, maybe I should have asked for all the fixings? Anywho, by default this California Burrito comes with guac, sour cream, pico and of course fries and carne asada - winner! The tortilla itself is so good! It's like they made it fresh, that was the cherry on top. It hits the spot! We also got the carne asada burrito, which was standard and good, and a medium horchata. I love that this little shop is so small, sits maybe 16 people max if it were filled. It didn't look like there was a restroom, but there was a sink to wash your hands. Can't believe this place is still here from my high school days. Come here for their breakfast burritos when I come home to visit my parents. Although i felt like it has changed. I used to really like this place. It wasn't until last week and today that I am very disappointed. Last week i ordered a Milanese torta and it was horrible. The Milanese was old, hard, dry and over cooked. It was hard to eat and was all cut up In pieces and that is not how you make a Milanese torta. Today I tried the carne asada and pastor burrito. I asked for American guacamole and no pico because I do not like onions at all. It cost me over $12 because I used my debit card. It had regular guacamole and a shit ton of pico, the meat tasted old! The flavor was really bad. It was full of onions. I took about 4 bites after picking out onion after onion. I will not be going back there. Might as well go to over priced Lolitas.
