Ordered breakfast this morning. They forgot my toast like the last time. And my waffle was super soggy and cold, very inedible. I ordered my meal while I was on my way to pick it up (picked it up and came home in a 10 min time frame) so there is no excuse in poor quality. On a rare Sunday that we both had off, my boyfriend and I drove out to Ewa Beach to check this restaurant out for breakfast. We got there around 8 a.m., since I didn't want to brave any potential crowds and get our day off to an early start. We had an easy time finding the place and there was plenty of parking in the lot. I was happy to see the restaurant peacefully empty during the time of our visit - there were only a few other customers dining in, so we could eat at our leisure. There didn't seem to be a lot of wait staff, so it took a while for them to take our orders and bring out our food, but since we weren't in a rush, we didn't mind. Our server was great at answering our questions and refilling our coffee cups. We enjoyed our food and our overall experience - Kountry Style Kitchen is indeed very cozy and unique in its décor. I don't think I've ever seen so many chicken decorations in my entire life. We'd definitely return to try more things on the breakfast menu, but I would highly recommend any of the eggs bennies or corned beef hash. Plus, you can get half orders if you don't want to completely indulge. After some contemplation, here's what we ordered: "Cheesy Eggs": This option appealed to me because I love cheese. I was able to get the half order to help with portion control. This entrée includes a grilled English muffin topped with a poached egg and bacon covered in cheddar cheese sauce. It was served with hash browns, rice or fresh fruit. Of course, I chose the hash browns, as I rarely turn down any chance to have potatoes with my meal. I was a little surprised that the English muffin half was so flat--I guess I was expecting it to be fluffier--but the cheddar cheese sauce redeemed everything. The poached egg and bacon were yummy, though I would have liked the bacon to be a little crispier. I also enjoyed the hash browns - they were adequately salted and even the half portion included a good amount. "Corned Beef Hash & Eggs Any Style": Because the corned beef is homemade here, my boyfriend wasted no time ordering this dish. It included homemade corned beef served with your choice of hash browns, rice or fresh fruit in season. It also comes with corn bread or buttered wheat or white bread. My boyfriend chose the cornbread and hash browns as his sides; the cornbread was moist and fluffy (absolutely perfect, as cornbread should be). It came with butter (which I didn't need), but it was a decent-sized square so that we could both share it, since my entrée didn't come with cornbread. I had a few bites of my boyfriend's corned beef hash and it was definitely yummy. The meat was tender, juicy and flavorful; he got his eggs scrambled and it was the perfect accompaniment. I would highly recommend this entrée because the corned beef hash was addictively good! "Bacon Chocolate Chip Pancake": This was one of the featured specials during my visit, and for a moment, I was tempted to order it. I do love chocolate chip pancakes (a la the ones from IHOP), but with fresh bacon chunks thrown in the mix, a delicious salty-sweet medley was sure to result. First time in here. We were seated right away. Place was clean and staffs were friendly. The lady the helped us offered me coffee and coffee was great. The ube french toast was soft, flavorful and presentation was nice. The whip cream was meant for that ube french toast. The crab omelette was fire. Very very delicious. Portion was generous as well. I ate at the Kapa'a location on Kaua'i (near our family home) throughout my childhood!! I thought this would bring back some wicked awesome memories. I'll try and be fair since there really was only one thing I could not eat... grunt!! I ordered: -Grilled Pork Chops, Eggs, and Hash Browns Grilled Pork Chops, Eggs, and Hash Browns. (2.5 stars). Let me start off with the positive... the hash browns were on point! Not oily! Crispy! Tasty!! Eggs were as to be expected. No complaints there. Now the part that frustrates me... I ordered the grilled pork chops. I got the full order breakfast (2 Pork Chops) because I knew the BF would want one along with his homemade corned beef hash (which the BF enjoyed). I gave the BF one piece which apparently was nice and tender chop and had the other chop which I literally could not cut with the knife they gave us. After one bite I stopped and asked our server if I could order another piece of Pork Chop. I showed him how I couldn't even cut through the piece they gave me! I said, "If you have to charge me, charge me, but I can't eat this piece!"... The server grabs the bill that he had already given to us and made sure to charge me for the extra side order. Fine, I offered to pay for it but I still think he should have tried to say it's ok or offer to talk to his manager... Anyhow, I anxiously awaited my new Pork Chop!! When it came to our table I tried to cut it again with the knife we had. No luck! I tried about 4 times and finally was able to cut off a piece. Hard as a rock and dry! I left the rest of the pork chop and when the server came by I showed him how hard it was by banging it on the plate. He just smiled and says, "So everything is OK?"... By this point I'm sure the BF was crossing his fingers that I wouldn't explode at this young and apathetic kid. Met a friend for late breakfast on Wed. 11 Jan 17. When I arrived and told the hostess/waitress I saw my friend already, she quickly asked, "Would you like coffee?" I specified decaf, then went to sit with my friend. This is a small (8-10 tables), clean and cheerful place and I was surprised at the extensive menu. I was served decaf quickly, and a glass of ice water as well. Then she left us to check out the menu. I finally decided on side dishes of Kalua Pig and one egg. My friend got a full breakfast with hash browns, toast, eggs. She said it was very good. I was quite surprised that a "side dish" of Kalua Pig would be so much!!! The waitress told me the kitchen mistakenly cooked two eggs for me but they only charged me for one. It was almost more than I could eat! The eggs were OK - "over medium" is touchy to achieve - but that pork? DELICIOUS! It was moist and flavorful, had a small amount of spinach and some chopped onion. The flavor was awesome. My friend wouldn't let me pay for my meal, but I caught a glimpse of my check before she grabbed it, and the total was $13.61. That was a lot of great food for such a small price! I don't really go Ewa Beach side often, but you can be sure this little restaurant will be on my list if I'm out that way. The staff is friendly and pretty quick but the food was badly prepared and mindlessly served. When ALL YOU MAKE is breakfast and lunch it's just NOT that hard to cook eggs to order or pancakes and yet we had over cooked eggs, not the right fruit and a burned pancake. The fact that the server served it at all means two things, they're used to seeing it like that or worse they don't care. Love this place for breakfast! Located pretty far into Ewa, by Subway, KFC, Ewa Pantry, and the Volcano smoke shop. I've never dined in, but have only ordered take out so far. Be forewarned that if your takeout order is over $50, they force you to pay via credit card over the phone. I honestly don't like this policy, especially if you're a repeat customer--I feel they should know you're good for it, and that you'll pick up the food. I've ordered takeout with bills over $100 from places like Assagio's and Outback, and they never require you to pay first over the phone. ANYWAY, the food is awesome enough where I'll keep coming back--but the policy still annoys me. - Loco moco: I personally don't order loco mocos, but my brother seems to love the loco moco here--and he orders loco mocos everywhere he goes. - Hungryman breakfast: This is honestly the best bang for your buck. Your choice of meat/fish (8 oz. steak, 2 pork chops, or 12 oz. mahi mahi, 3 eggs any style, choice of 2 hash browns OR rice, AND fresh fruit (usually papaya), AND another starch (toast/corn bread/English muffin), AND coffee or tea, AND juice. All of this for $15.25 is a crazy deal. Especially considering the pork chops + 2 egg plate is $13. I personally get the pork chops combo. - Kalua pig plate: Homemade kalua pig with spinach and onions. A great take on the typical kalua pig and cabbage. Love this! Especially with the potato salad, which comes in a HUGE scoop. - Eggs benedict (traditional): Not the BEST eggs benedict I've ever had, but for $11.50, it's definitely great for the price. Wish they had different variations (like with crab cake or fish). They do have a garden eggs benedict and a version with turkey called eggs margo. Overal, portions here are HUGE, and it's a great value for the price and taste of the food. I haven't tried dining in yet, but I will eventually. Only one star lost for the takeout policy. read more

I've been here a few times with my fiancé. We came in around 11am for brunch on a Sunday. It was packed with people with a few tables unoccupied. With a few people before us, our wait time was less than 10 minutes. After being seated, a huge rush of folks walked in. We were seated in the wooden booth. I'm short and my feet barely touched the ground. It was a bit uncomfortable. Next time, I would request a table or the softer booth. I get my usual, half-order Egg Benedict with hashbrown. The first time I had the Benedict, the egg was pouched perfect. The latest visit, it was way too runny and maybe needed another minute. I would still order it next time. The hashbrowns were cooked well and crisp. My fiancé enjoyed his omelette and fresh fruit, papaya. My fiancé ordered the Sausage Biscuits at a previous visit and it lack gravy. I suggested he order an extra side of gravy if you plan to order this item The waitress came by and checked on us, not overly friendly, but attentive. The manager, I think, walked around the middle area to greet customers and asked how they were doing. Price is fair and reasonable. Location is close to where I live in Ewa Beach so a convenience for me. No alcohol (bummer for me since I enjoy a Bloody Mary on a for a Sunday Brunch). This was one of the best breakfasts I've had in quite a while. We ordered the sampler, bacon and cheese waffle, avocado bagel and one of their lunch items, the burger with fries. The breakfast was stellar. I was a huge fan of everything, the only thing that wasn't my fancy was the avocado bagel. Not sure what it was, but it just didn't sit well with me. Everything else though, you could write home about. The burger was good too, but my absolute favorite part of the whole experience? Their waffle fries. It sounds funny, but I've been thinking about them for a couple of days and I've been tempted just to go back and order those to eat as my meal. My husband and I decided to try Kountry Style Kitchen as it had pretty good reviews. We live close by, are retired, and enjoy going out to eat occasionally. This outing was disappointing and a waste of money. We tried to eat here before. The first time we stopped in, the place was busy. We were ignored for 15 minutes, no one even acknowledged our presence. We left. Recently, we decided to give it another try as it was a weekday and figured it wouldn't be busy. We were greeted and shown to a table promptly. The quality of the food was disappointing. The coffee was tasted old. My Kureig makes a better cup. The omelette was more like a crepe with sausage thrown inside and folded in half. The pineapple tasted like metal. My spouse is pretty easy to please. He complained that his steak was flavorless. There was no sear on it and to me it looked gray. The only thing we enjoyed was the cornbread. I don't like to be confrontational but we felt the $7 charge for two bottomless cups of coffee that weren't touched was a bit much. I cannot recommend this establishment.
