I know it's odd for a buffet to have 5 stars, but the variety at $17.99 is truly a wonder. The selection and quality is definitely well above the asking price, and I can say writing this the next day, none of us had any stomach issues. The most surprising item was definitely the crab legs. I don't know how they are able to include this in the menu. The crab legs were sweet and flavorful and the meat separated from the shell reasonably well. There were also fruits like papaya and blueberries which is a rare sight indeed. They also had dim sum like chicken feet! The sushi had rice that was well seasoned and not hard. The fish tasted fresh. My favorite dish was the steamed white fish with green onion and ginger. The clams were also fresh, but slightly sandy. The one thing I would never try again, though, is their tomato shrimp soup (it was like a sweet tomyum that was just weird) and their "cheesecake" that was a dried out sponge cake with a dried layer of cream cheese frosting. The rest of the items were pretty tasty and I left feeling full and satisfied, without any heaviness. The price is generous and great for a family outing. They didn't have any oysters, but they did have crab legs. The only thing is I wish they had a better selection with the desserts. They have a little containers of ice cream, which is kind of hidden. They don't really have any dessert like a chocolate fudge cake brownie they only had one type of cookie, so that would be my only complaint is a better selection for dessert. Service is decent but I feel it is still very overpriced -- even after using a coupon! The food selection isn't great and they took a while to bring out new dishes after it quickly ran out. The food was a 3/10. The chow mein was terrible. The orange chicken looked so watered down -- it looked like soup. The chicken was literally floating over all the juice. The fried chicken wings were very dry, over cooked. The only decent, savory dish was the walnut shrimp -- no walnuts! It was good. The dessert selection was poor and the choices available were awful. The ice cream they had available was packaged and not from a machine. Fruit wise; they did not have a selection either. They had strawberries, papaya, and green cantaloupe. This was the venue for lunch after a funeral we attended at nearby Rose Hills. It was a Saturday, and the AYCE lunch was priced at $19.99 - a great value but the buffet offerings were of lesser quality than other buffets I've been too. The food is primarily Chinese, such as beef and broccoli, sweet and sour pork, egg rolls, orange chicken, and noodle dishes with some odd things thrown in the mix, such as spaghetti, cheese pizza and hotdogs. There was also a sushi section, but it wasn't stellar. I ended up getting some of the unagi sushi but had to discard the rice as they were not vinegared at all. They also had a Mongolian style grill, where customers can help themselves to various meats, vegetables, and sauce selections cooked to order. I would say that people come here primarily for its price, especially if they need to feed a large party. I wanted to let everyone know about a terrible experience. My family and I decided to go to the semi new buffet in Whittier. Sat down, and family ordered drinks, my brother drank his water and something felt weird and he took another sip and mixed his drink, he feels something inside mixed in with the ice. He takes a look and it's a ROTTEN MOLDY LEMON inside!!!! We aren't even there for more than 10 minutes. I let her know and she immediately took the cup and ran to give him a new cup of water. I explained to her it was not okay, he can potentially get sick. I asked to speak to a manager and she managed to grab someone else. And they had a moment where they giggled. Which got me even more upset, they kept apologizing and I let her know that doesn't fix anything. I asked her where the lemons were stored and she she said they are separated from the water. So I told her then you would see how it's frustrating because you physically have to pick up a lemon to add it to a cup. She then asked me if I wanted to see how the water is separate. Right next to the dispenser was the tray of cups of water, nothing was distinguished from dirty or clean cups. She then tried to tell me what she thinks happened is that his cup could have been one of the bottom cups in the tray. So apparently they don't have their dirty or clean cups separated. This lemon wasn't a day old, or 4 days this lemon had a whole thick layer of mold!! We were so grossed out we left literally 15 minutes in. You have been warned! ZERO STARS! read more

The salad bar was a disgrace with a bowl of lettuce (not chopped by the way) a few options of dressing & 2 or 3 toppings. No veggies what so ever. They had some boiled eggs and 3 options of fruit. The rest of the food was greasy salty and not at all what you would expect. They had no labels on any of the food. They had about 6 soup options that had me wondering what kind as it's was all just broth. The owners should be ashamed to have this presentation on opening weekend.
