    Chicken karaage, soju, meat

This is a regular spot for my family. Food is always amazing. Service even better. Some of the freshest vegetables you'll find at a salad bar, meats are fantastic quality, and broths are the perfect compliment to the meal. My usual is the spicy broth, my wife's go to is the sukiyaki. I highly recommend the number 2 and number 5 meats. What's even better is recently they added some items they haven't had since before the pandemic like their chicken karaage and veggie eggrolls which were both great with the meal. They have plenty of tvs for you to watch a game while enjoying your dinner. It's a great restaurant for a large party and I've always seen them accommodate any size easily. It's great for a casual date spot with great food, but be careful it's not a first date because stuffing yourself with delicious food may not be the best look to some!

We wanted to try some hotpot after we got out of church, and we came to Shibuya, which has always been great. We visited their La Mirada location at 11 am; it wasn't busy, and we were seated as soon as we came in. Their veggies, noodles, and seafood selections were good. We had a great time, and their service was good. Overall, if you're in the area and want to try an AYCE hotpot spot, go and give them a try, as they did not disappoint!

I love shabu shabu. We liked the broth, meat, veggies and sauces. It was enough to satisfy our cravings.

Food 4/5 Veggies and sides were fresh and delicious. Great selection of soups and meats. Beef belly was super tasty and soft, ordered around 28 rounds of meat for 7 people. Only suggestion is to have labels on the food selection. Service 4/5 We were seated pretty quickly, hosts and servers were very kind and accommodating. Every time we finished a tray or plate they would take it away almost immediately. Only complaint was it took a while to get water. Ambiance 5/5 Restaurant was very spacious and the buffet area was clean and well stocked and organized. Overall great dinner experience! would come back

***New management with updates!*** It's been about a month since we came to this restaurant. We immediately noticed the updated menu prices, timing of eating changed to 100 minutes, and children's pricing is now based on height. They removed the table buttons to notify your servers. Overall, the servers were somewhat attentive. Regular menu price now come with appetizers. The appetizers were actually really good. My 7 YO enjoyed the chicken. Although he was bummed that there was no ketchup to go with it, lol. There was a slight price increase, but overall, the experience is pretty much the same as the previous visits.

I visited this place again after a long time for a company dinner. There haven't been many changes, but that's not a bad thing. Even with a lot of customers, the restaurant was clean and the service was fairly quick. For the price, the quality of the meat was acceptable, and the included vegetables and seafood were satisfactory. Dining out isn't cheap these days, so this felt like a reasonable option without high expectations. On a chilly day, it was a decent and practical choice.

Not the best place for a hot pot, but the best one for the price around that area. Got seated fast, but once seated, to get help was difficult. Most of the ingredients looked fresh, so that was nice . The flavors were not a stand out. Simple and something you can definitively at home. The utensils and plates, not so nice.

Been coming to Shabuya in La Mirada for years for that AYCE shabu goodness. And it never fails to hit the spot. The meat quality and selection is solid, and the veggies and the sauces are all on point. Service is always good too. If you're a spice lover like me, make sure to ask for the spicy hot sauce to add to your broth as well as your goma sauce. It elevates everything! Another pro tip is to add green onions, minced radish, and minced garlic to your ponzu sauce. So bomb. Dinner is $32.99 a person which is very reasonable but if you wanna save a little more, come during lunch when it's $25.99 a person. It's worth every penny.

As soon as you walk in, you notice how clean and well-maintained everything is -- even the vents -- which is so important for food quality. For large parties, everyone must be present before seating, even if just one person is missing, which happened to us. You get five soup base options to choose from, which is a big plus. The bar is beautifully set up with a great selection of veggies, noodles, fish balls, and shrimp. The meat was fresh, and I truly had no complaints. Overall, you'll definitely want to give this place a try!

Went to Shabuya recently with old friends. Great KBBQ spot! Buffet-style, so you go pick what you want and cook it. Plenty of banchan. And it HUGE inside! Ordinarily, in most Korean BBQ soots I have been to all the tables, buffet, and servers are smashed together and one trips over the other. Here, plenty of seating, room to spread out, and lots of groups. Would definitely return. Enjoy!

This is my second time at this location. Lunch is $25.99 and AYCE. When you arrive there's plenty of parking and hardly ever a wait. Everyone was kind and the service was really great. You never have to ask for more meat because they constantly come and ask if they can bring you more. This location isn't as turned up as fountain valley, it's more traditional and what I loved most is the sides bar. This location had crawfish, crab, sausage, clams, muscles and really any other item you could want in Shabu shabu. The sides bar was kept up and really clean. They give you a choice of about 6 different broths. We had a great experience and I definitely recommend!

Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday for dinner! First off- I've never been to a hot pot where you have your own individual pots for your broth and food! What a great idea! The service was great- they were very attentive and personable. The place was great for crowds yet intimate enough for just two! Great selection of meats, seafood, veggies & sides with a section to make your dipping sauces ! Definitely a great place to go to when it's a bit chilly outside or anytime you feel you need a hot pot fix!

I got the huoguo broth and it was really yummy! What I liked about this place is that the broth wasn't greasy at all, and you can refill however much you want. Additionally, the bar with all the veggies is great, but I'd especially recommend getting the fish balls. The meat was great quality, and is also unlimited. The service was great, our server was super attentive and they were taking away our empty plates super quick. Ambiance is good, its quiet and they were playing lots of worship music :))

Ask the Community - Shabuya - La Mirada

Does this location utilize the Shabuya app in the App Store for online ordering and loyalty points?

    Do they have appetizers?

    Yes, but no volcano kaarage

    Is there solo dining charge?

    No there's not

Can we bring a cake? And is there a cake cutting fee?

Sorry I can't answer your question because although we celebrated friends' birthdays there, we didn't bring a cake. We enjoyed the cake in their house after lunch in Shabuya.

Is it all you can eat?

    Yes.

Can 2 people share one pot?

No, you get your own pot.

What's the difference in the menu between lunch and regular? I see that lunch is $23.99 while regular is $29.99. Is the difference only on the time frame that it is offered, but still the same menu and food options?

Nothing. Nothing is different. It's just a special pricing for lunch special Mon-Fri. Just marketing to get more people come for lunch special.

Is the self serve salad bar open yet? If not when?

When we went on Father's Day 2021, it was open. You have to wear a mask and use disposable gloves, which was provided by the restaurant.

    How much is AYCE?

    $29.99 + tax

How much is for lunch and dinner? Also, do you take reservations for a party of 6 or more? Thank you.

Yes they take parties more than 6

Is this just a walk in bc on Yelp shows closed?

They said they were having issues with their system two days ago when I went, if it's possible to join the waitlist definitely do it, or see if you can call ahead!

    What are their hours now?

    12pm to 11pm

Has anyone been there since they re opened on 2/11/21? Are they still serving the same menu meats, pricing? Thanks for your help!

Seems about the same I added a review with updated menu and prices

Are they open for dine in?

    Outdoor Dining

Is the ayce available or not yet?

Yes, they're open for AYCE. I was just there Monday! The sauce/vegetable/other proteins bar is closed. You'll have to order what you want like you do with meat.

    Is dine available now?

I hope so !! I miss this place!!

    Is the meat ayce?

    Yes

Can u sample the broth before u make a choice because I don't really know what to get?

YES! They are very accommodating! I did that on my first trip to Shabuya

Can u eat here by yourself or eat here with a party of 2?

Sure. I've dined solo at Shabuya. I've also seen pairs.

What's the best broth in Shabuya?

The mala broth is great if you like spicy!

Yes, the price has gone up as a result, but they have way more options on par with more expensive places. On the weekend/dinner, they now have a chilled seafood section with items that aren't covered in any type of sauce including, but not limited to; raw oysters, crab legs, abalone, crawfish. They still have their steamed dungeness crab, fried crab, and craw fish boils. I don't think these updates have caught on yet because those premium items aren't attacked like donuts at a police department. At most buffets, you see people walking away with stacked plates with none left for you when you're third in line. This place usually keeps a steady supply. The only thing that sucks is the single serve ice cream. I know it's more sanitary, but soft serve and scooped ice cream would really put that place in the next tier up for Asian buffets.

Don't get filled up on it, though--save room for the meats! Besides the lamb shank, I liked the kofta and the gyro. The first batch of kofta I had was very juicy, and the second was more on the drier side. Same goes for the gyro. It was cut kind of thick and was a little dry. The garlic sauce they have went very well with it! I also got the beets, and they were my favorite item. They were sweet and tender, cooked to perfection. The cantaloupe and honeydew were both very sweet. I think that's kind of hard to come by these days. Their pudding was okay, not my favorite. Visited BWON today and the food was amazing. I would absolutely recommend it. This would have…read moreeasily been a 5-star experience if the service had gone more smoothly. Our original server never offered us drinks and left us with lukewarm water while every other table had ice water. He also forgot to bring the five ramen bowls that were included with the package we ordered. We reminded him three separate times, and after that he completely disappeared and never came back to our table. Thankfully, Fabian came to our rescue. He fixed our grill, brought us Pepsi, made sure we had everything we needed, and completely turned our experience around. He was attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making things right. I really hope the tip my family and I left goes to Fabian because he absolutely earned it. If you visit BWON, I highly recommend asking for Fabian. He's an outstanding server, and the owner is lucky to have someone like him on the team.
