we got the hot pot & kbbq combo for about $27 per person. i started with the thai tom yum broth, but it tasted far from an authentic tom yum. i also wasn't too impressed with the hot pot add-ins. the kbbq was definitely the highlight of the meal. the plain pork belly was my favorite, while my boyfriend really liked the garlic pork belly. the chicken bulgogi had a very subtle bulgogi flavor so that was disappointing. we ordered three rounds of meat, and everything came out quickly. they have a self-serve sauce bar with sauces, fried snacks, and a few desserts. ordering is done on an ipad, which is convenient, but ours started at 9% battery and the screen was already greasy before we even touched it. i think these should be cleaned and charged between parties. our server, alex, was attentive throughout the meal. his introduction was a little odd because he spent the whole time looking down at the ipad while explaining how it worked, barely making any eye contact, and speaking so quietly that it was hard to hear him. aside from that, service was good. This was my first time at a hot pot restaurant and we had a great time! Our server was Howie and he was fantastic! I informed him of my dairy allergy, because I noticed that other patrons were using butter on their grills. I wanted to make sure we didn't need to use butter too. He immediately offered for us to use oil, and without me even asking he told me he was going to check to see if the sauces were safe for me. I was impressed. I've never had a server go out of his way like that. The food came quickly and the whole experience was amazing for me. Would recommend the following: Suggest to have a Korean spicy fried chicken dipping sauce for the crunchy fried chicken at the appetizer bar. Improve the kimchi and include pickled daikon. Ask the Durham location for how-to in preparation and recipes. Omit the use of adding MSG in the meat marinades. When buying next refill supply for the butter on the appetizer bar, would be great to replaced it with 100% butter, rather than the current butter blend. Maybe fill the butter container with individual packets or pound sized butter. Before writing this review, I gave this spot 3 tries. First being when it first opened and the 2-3rd time were over a year later. I came to the conclusion that the broths and meat quality are not it. There is a big lack in the right flavors in the broths which ruins the whole hot pot experience part itself. The kbbq part is missing side dishes. It makes things so hard to eat without much to enjoy the grilled meats with. The service needs much improvement --we had to keep trying to flag our waiter down for refills and napkins. We were not even the needy type of customers, but it was pretty annoying we were never checked on at all. On top of it all, he had the nerves to ask if we needed change when there was only 2 of us dining with a $100 bill on top of the receipt. It sucks they expect the gratuity to be high when the waiters don't do much compared to the servers who are constantly bringing dishes out or clearing the plates off the table --I wish we could strictly tip them instead! Definitely feel this place is overhyped and is more of a "convenient" location for hot pot/kbbq compared to their competitors. Went there today with my husband and 6month old. Had the worst dining experience I've ever had. I've been to K Pot else where. Finally got a chance to try in Raleigh. A long wait - we came out around 6:10pm and was told about 1 hr 45 min wait - relatively accurate - we sat down around 8pm. I read other reviews saying they don't take reservations. We only had hot pot - maybe bbq next time. Hotpot is $30.99 per adult , $15.99 for kids 7-10. There are about 8-10 soup bases - I like the herbal one and my hubby and son loves the tomato based. Great selection of meat and non-meat items. Each order is relatively small - but keep ordering and they will keep the orders coming timely. The meat slices are super thin and great for hot pot. There were dumplings - shrimp dumplings are full of shrimp and very good. A decent selection of sauces as well. The appetizers selection was good as well. My son loves the spring rolls and bean paste sesame balls. Service is great as well - there were many service staff and as soon as a plate is empty - they will take it away to make room. Overall a great place to eat and hang out. You can tell by the super long wait. Next time we will try to come out earlier. Just reviewed check again noticed they overcharged my son for dinner. We just had hotpot and not the bbq. I was not checking it at the restaurant- oh well - a bit disappointed. Moved it to 3 star instead. read more

There's a nice little wait, but we sat at the bar and was served by a great bartender by the name of Maya. She was friendly, great customer skills and could make a drink out of nothing. I say nothing because this bar doesn't have much to choose from but she created something good. I say she should really work somewhere else that makes actual cocktails as I think she'll do fantastic!!!!! The hotpot was the best I have had. The broth was exceptionally great. I got the Thai Tom Yum and my husband got the Healthy Herbs broth. Both were very flavorful. We had an array of meat to choose from and plenty of sides . This is well worth the money. It was convenient but since I just washed my hands prior to eating I didn't want to have to handle something that I dont know who else touched. Did not come with the usual sides of glass noodles, kimchi, cucumber, etc.. They did have a station set up as a buffet but did not have the typical Kbbq sides. I found the meat to be dry. We were really excited to hear about KPOT opening up in Raleigh. It was really easy to order - you can order things through an iPad and place as many as you want until your time limit is up (2 minute buffer in between each order). If anyone in the party wants the KBBQ, everyone in the party will have to agree to the additional cost, so we ended up just doing the hot pot. The broths were pretty salty, and the szechuan spicy one was not spicy at all, so I was a bit disappointed in the broths. I'm a huge hot pot and Korean bbq lover. I was trying to find somewhere closer than my usual spots and I found this place. We came on a busy Friday evening. It only took 15 minutes to be seated. I'm a hot pot pro so I didn't really need too much assistance with the menu. I will say that at this particular place all parties have to order the same thing. example, I can't get hot pot and my partner get Korean bbq. Both parties must get the same thing. No big deal. After ordering, it took our food about 15 minutes to come to the table. Our server was amazing. He was very attentive. He came by and changed our grill plates frequently. He checked on us to make sure we were ok. I believe the manager on duty gave us refills also. Even though it was busy and there's a 2 hour limit, we didn't feel rushed at all. Love that the Triangle is finally getting some more AYCE options that I feel have been around for a while. One of my favorite ones since you can choose Hotpot, Korean BBQ, or combined. We did the combined and loved the different cuts of meat and vegetables. I'm not sure if I would do the combined over just the BBQ because it becomes a bit redundant, but I love having the option. One thing to note is that they are very busy and I definitely definitely recommend making a reservation or getting on the Guest list as soon as possible. Even in the middle of the afternoon, there will sometimes be a wait for an hour or so, which would be fine if there was more to do in the area. Service is quick and friendly though. read more
