Ordered from here through door dash. It was delivered in a cute little reusable bag but unfortunately, the food leaked so I threw it away. Delivery was fast. I preferred the spam fried rice over the regular rice but still wish there was a little more in it. The portions were huge.

Overall: Triangle Hawaiian BBQ does a great job getting you a lot of great tasting food fast. Doesn't beat the quality of some other dedicated restaurants, but you can't beat their price to portion ratio! Food: Triangle Hawaiian BBQ serves food by the plate, where you get to select protein and sides. The protein quality was pretty good. The gravy and curry that came with some of the options was very standard. Portion sizes are big, come hungry or ready to take some for leftovers. Service: Order at a kiosk or front desk, the service is quick and staff is really friendly. They come to check up on you while eating, rare for this type of restaurant. Ambiance: The inside was a pretty standard causal sit-down spot. Enough seating for groups up to 8.

Always love me some Hawaiian eats and I'm huge fan of Ni Armor out in Pittsboro. So I was super curious about Triangle Hawaii BBQ! You'll have to head over to the Mini-Mart off Capital Blvd, it sits at the southern end of this long plaza. Inside it's clean and basic, you order at the kiosk or counter and they've got a nice array of barbequed meats, katsu, and teas. I order up the signature meat lover plate which is large and full of beef rib, beef slices and chicken. You can some cold macaroni salad and a rice, it's time to dig in! The marinade is a more basic soy-based sauce and tasty. While I'd give the edge to Ni Armor right now, it's a 40 minute drive for me so I'll certainly be back to Triangle Hawaii BBQ to try more off the menu. Super polite people, solid service and excellent food for the money.

Short rib was awesome. It had really good flavor and tender beef. Generous portion for the price and my food was ready for pick up in 10 minutes.

I think I've found my new favorite spot! My order was made to perfection. I tried the Hawaii Fire Chicken, and it did not disappoint--packed with flavor, slightly spicy, and perfectly tender. It really stood out as the highlight of the meal. I also ordered the spring rolls; they were decent, but more middle-of-the-road compared to the chicken. Overall, a great experience, and I'll definitely be back--especially for that Hawaii Fire Chicken.

Went with a friend. Huge plate of food!! I ordered the coconut chicken and it was really good. I didn't like the macaroni salad. Store very clean, staff was great. You order from a kiosk and has pictures so you know exactly what you are getting. Parking not an issue!! I will come back just not no. 1

Food good portion, price a little pricey, I rather drive to L&L bbq out of town w better pricing and food quality , the food isn't bad though , what I had was way too salty for me & previously trying it was a bad customer service experience.

About a week ago I was sitting outside of the Chick-fila on Capital and I saw a sign for Hawaiian BQQ across the street in MiniCity. I knew this place was new and I hadn't had Hawaiian food in years so it stuck in mind. Fast forward a week later and I went in for takeout. They have two self service kiosk with pictures of each food which makes it easy for ordering. I knew from the other Yelp reviews that I had to get the beef spare ribs and let me tell you they did not disappoint. The meat was tender, it paired perfectly with the fried rice and macaroni salad. In college I had a roommate who used to always make spam musubi but I had never tried chicken bqq musubi and I hate to say that it was wayyyy better. As backup I got their hot lemon pepper wings which were crispy and well spiced but I didn't need a backup everything was delicious. The restaurant is clean and there is plenty of indoor seating. I also loved the reusable takeout bag, you can never have too many!

The loco moco meat I just stuffed in gravy to toss away rather than eat.

After coming here from CA for so long I was super excited to try some Hawaiian BBQ out here in the Triangle. The service was friendly and the place was bright and clean. We ordered the chicken katsu with curry, the black peppered short ribs, hawaiian bbq meat and one of my favorites the loco moco. Chicken katsu was fried golden with a flaky crunch accompanied by curry on the side. I think the curry sauce could use some more veggies thrown in but still pretty delicious. We enjoyed it. The peppered short ribs was good but a little over salted. Season it a little bit less and it would have been higher in rating. Hawaiian BBQ meat was tender and moist. It's probably my favorite item that we ordered here. The sweet and unnami flavor on perfectly cooked rice made me happy. The loco moco to me was a huge let down. Unless it changes, I hope this review would help someone from ordering a pretty tasteless dinner with a sauce that tasted off. First off, I don't know what they used for the patty but I wonder if it was just a frozen hamburger patty heated up. Dried, not seasoned and almost tasteless. The eggd on top wasn't overeasy, but well done... extremely well done on the verge of rubbery. You would think I could power through with the gravy to finish the meal but I couldn't. The gravy was salty and had an aftertaste of peanut butter. It was the strangest thing. We would come back and eat here if in the area, however we would definitely steer clear of the loco moco.

Really tasty food and the service was helpful when we were ordering. The beef and shrimp had great flavor.

I like the ribs and fry katsu that comes with curry or gravy. The hamburger meat with eggs was mediocre. Hamburger are dry, but the eggs over fry rice is delicious. The pineapple is surprisingly tasty. Under the meats are shredded cabbage, which doesn't have much taste. You have to eat it with the meat, but cabbage is fresh. The ordering process is smooth using the kiosks and the service is mostly self serving. The rep did go round asking how is the food and if there's any else we need. The restaurant is clean and family friendly.

Some of the best take out we've had in a while. My son was losing his mind over how good this was. Quick delivery, and absolutely delicious. We had the short rib and katsu meal, the chicken katsu meal, and the crab rangoons. This is a new favorite. Will definitely be back!!

We have missed Hawaiian BBQ since moving out from the Bay Area. So glad we have it here in the Triangle now. The BBQ short ribs, chicken katsu & macaroni are on point!! Soo delicious! Fruit teas are yummy too. Servings are big and had some to go. They even give you a nice reusable bag for your to go. Definitely, we will be back & try the Kalua Pork next time.

There was a bit of a line but it is definitely worth the wait. To order hop in line and order at the counter. Once you order you'll be given a number and then you'll be able to choose between sitting inside or outside. We ordered the three meat combo with the chopped bbq (this is whole hog bbq), the slow-cooked chicken, and the brisket with cornbread. For the sides we ordered fries and Mac & cheese. The slow cooked chicken was amazing and by far our favorite as it was packed with flavor and was so perfectly smoky. The brisket was our second favorite as the bark was well seasoned and it fell apart. The chopped bbq was good just needed some sauce but had a great smoky flavor. For the sides, definitely ask for the ranch and honey mustard on the side. They make these sauces in house and were excellent. The cornbread was interesting, kind of like a hybrid between a hush puppy and a piece of bread. Definitely worth trying if you haven't had the cornbread Carolina style. If you are in the Downtown Raleigh area this is a must stop. I can see why this restaurant was added to the Michelin guide.

I took a seat at the outdoor bar and started with some smoked wings. 5 whole wings, so really 10 wings at most places. Meat was juicy enough, maybe I was hoping for more of a dry rub though. I used the tangy BBQ sauce and sweet BBQ sauce on them, and they certainly enhanced the flavor. I usually like mustard based sauces, but theirs was little more peppery than I wanted Then, per the bartender's recommendation, I ordered the brisket melt sandwich, and it was the undisputed highlight of the meal Muenster cheese, thinly sliced white onion, pickle chips, and a good load of horseradish sauce. The brisket had an amazing flavor, and all the other toppings came together beautifully. But that Union bakery bun is just another level. It's like brioche, it was so soft, but somehow a little more substantial. For my side dish, I went with the sweet potatoes with goat cheese, pepitas, and agave. This was just ok. For me, the potatoes could have been cooked longer, a little more crispness would have really helped. I did think the goat cheese was a unique flavor with a milder ingredient like a sweet potato, but it did work with the other ingredients pretty well. Customer service is great and there are workers that make sure that you have all you need. They were also great handling a dairy allergy for my kids! So service and ambiance 5/5 The food! We got a bit of everything. Moist Brisket: 4/5 it was very tender for the most part and was great flavor, a little tough in some places but really good overall! Cheddar Jalapeno sausage: 3.5/5 about average but slightly better. Could use more kick (but my wife thought it was spicy) The casing was a little tough in my opinion, but the overall flavor was pretty good. Beef cheek (this was a special for Thursday): 5/5 SUPER TENDER and great flavors. It was similar to a burnt end texture on the outside but the inside was amazing tender. Was great! The ribs! 5/5 This was honestly the star of the show. It had a great bark crust flavor and amazingly tender, wow, it was amazing and I don't say that lightly. Would 100% order again. The pulled pork:4/5 how do you say this is an average pulled pork feel like it's kinda hard to mess this one up, but it was pretty good. A standard pulled pork! As for the sides, they were okay if I'm honest. The baked beans were pretty good. I got it only because someone recommended it, but I normally am not a baked beans kind of guy. It was a little bit on the sweeter end but not bad at all. The mac & cheese was an average mac & cheese. Nothing super amazing or great but good enough I guess. My kids didn't devour it as they would have in other places so I guess that goes to show that it was just average. Overall, I would come here for the meats because that is what they're known for! I ordered a combo plate of chicken pastry and bbq pork, with sides of fried okra and potato salad. Everything was served piping hot, just as it should be. The Chicken Pastry (chicken and dumplings) had wonderful flavor and was comfort food at its finest with thick and wide chewy noodle dumplings. So often chicken and dumpling dishes can be overly salty but Ole Time Barbecue's was perfectly seasoned. The barbecue pork also had great flavor and also was seasoned perfectly, though unfortunately I can't do even the most mild of spicy, so even tho there were only a few red pepper flakes, they made it a little bit challenging for me to eat. The fried okra was cooked and seasoned perfectly and not at all oily and the potato salad was also really tasty. I also tasted their coleslaw and mac and cheese from Hubs dinner and both were delicious as well. Also loved their sweet tea, I got it 25% sweet . The biggest surprise was the large basket of tasty hush puppies brought to our table the minute we sat down, and refilled. Also delicious and seasoned perfectly. The location is very homey and diner like, with just a handful of tables so you may have to wait, though luckily we didn't. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was they served their sides in styrofoam containers versus reusable dishes like they use for their main courses. I do love that they're using reusable dishes for their mains so it seems like they could also do this for their sides. Less trash for the restaurant and better for the world... .

I was thrilled that most of the menu was available. They were just out of the banana pudding. So I got to try the pecan wings I read about with the white sauce. It was so good. Then I got the chicken pot pie and biscuits. The pot pie had old biscuits for the topping, but the creamy mixture with large chunks of chicken was delicious. My biscuits came with honey and were served warm. I left with a slice of the chocolate-caramel-coconut cake, a side salad without onions, and a fried boneless thigh. The salad was made correctly, and the dressing was included. The salad was full of veggies, and the cake was rich and moist. Service was friendly and as soon as I finished my iced tea, another appeared. My wings were brought out first and it was a while for the rest of the meal as the restaurant was full. But they didn't rush me at all. I actually liked the space between the dishes, as I might not have been able to eat it all otherwise.
