    New storm screen door
    Amy W.

I just can say enough great things about Kraft Screen & Doors! Fantastic customer service, friendly and knowledgeable staff! We had 2 new Anderson storm screen doors put on our front and back doors. Installer was early for our appointment (always a plus) he took away the old doors and had both doors installed in a little under 1 hour. I love how much light the new doors let in! We were so happy with the service we had Kraft re-screen all our windows. They came out, collected the old screens and frames (I love that since our frames were in good shape they were able to re-use them) about 10 days later our new screens were delivered ( again early for our scheduled appointment time) and re-installed in about 10 mins. Fantastic company, locally owned and operated. I feel like they go the extra mile for their customers!

    Thanks for the damage

Spent Nearly $2K ($1900) for horrible service and they damaged our windows during screen installation. I would call them to ask for repairs but I have already experienced their waste of space manager. What a joke of a company. I'm surprised Home Depot allows this horror show anywhere near their customers. As realtors in the valley we let all of our clients know to use anybody else, we wouldn't dare expose someone to their idiocy and abuse. We called a week before we were going on a trip and let Kraft know that we would not be able to answer our phones during the scheduled install date and to please complete the work. They confirmed and let us know the work would be done and it was no problem. When we got home the work was not done. . . We called them back and asked what happened and they said they came by and nobody was home so they couldn't complete the work. We asked to be put back on the schedule. They said they were booked and they could install in 3 weeks. After arguing with the manager she said I could either accept it or refer to the contract and refund policy which basically said we are keeping the majority of your money since the screens had already been made. So we took their earliest appointment. 6 months later when the weather was nice enough to open the windows we realized rather than using the appropriate brackets on all the windows they had screwed into the frames of 3 of our windows. The seals had been broken and to open the windows we had to remove the screws, which means they measured wrong and decided to install incorrectly damaging our property instead of doing the right thing. I would rather pay for new windows than deal with one more call with their idiot manager. The fact that this company lets her be the face of the company says everything about the owner(s), they are clearly garbage people. We let everyone know that you should avoid this company at all costs. If Home Depot hasn't cancelled their contract with this company they are crazy!

Our new front door and side light, installed by Kraft Screen & Door

We had Kraft install our new front door and replace our ancient storm doors, contracting them through Home Depot. Due to the unusual size of the new front door, they came out to measure twice to be sure it was a good fit. The installer had a tough job to do; the original front door was crooked and the entire frame had to be re-built to be level. The install took an entire day, all new framing and trim, new threshold, etc. In the end, we have a gorgeous front door! The installer did a wonderful job, working well into the evening to ensure everything was done correctly. We also had a great experience with their office staff, and everyone arrived on time for all appointments. We would happily work with Kraft again in the future.

With the heat we've had the past few summers and then the snow that seems to be a yearly event now, we thought it was time to get a really good widow upgrade. We also wanted out house painted after installation and Clear Choice set that up for us as well. (See my review for Triple A Painting). What we loved most about dealing with Clear Choice Windows & Doors was the personalized service we received. They have a large selection of window frame materials to choose from and our choice of fiberglass was an easy one. It was explained to us that fiberglass windows are stronger than both vinyl and wood, making them incredibly resilient to weather and climate -- perfect for PNW homeowners. From start to finish, our team of window installers provided friendly service, excellent craftsmanship, and it took only two days to install the 10 new windows in our home. Before, during and after, the team cleaned up and kept the work site tidy at all times. There was minimal damage to our landscaping as well. We can feel a definite difference in the inside temperature of our house since the new windows were installed. Our AC doesn't seem to work as hard and it takes less time to cool off in the summer and to heat in the winter. The outside look is classy and fits well with the style of our house and the neighborhood. We highly recommend Clear Choice Windows & Doors if you're looking for new windows.

The crew that came out was very new and completely botched the job, breaking siding along the way. To Clear Choice's credit they sent out a more senior team member to fix the issue and said they would replace the siding. Unfortunately because they had to cover up all the issues the window frame is now twice the width of all my other window frames. Once the siding arrived I paid Clear Choice to paint the trim and siding. The crew came out to fix the siding and get things painted but they said they only would paint the trim even though I agreed with the project manager, Luke, that the siding would be painted as well since they broke the siding in the first place. In April the trim was painted and they said they would come back out to do the siding but they never came. After multiple messages to Luke and then to our original sales rep, Jeff (who is lovely!), we still do not have our siding painted. Jeff did everything he could to escalate the matter but after months of back and forth it is clear that Clear Choice does not have great internal communication between sales and the working technicians since even a small job could not be resolved despite multiple efforts from myself and their own colleague, Jeff. While we appreciate the work Clear Choice has done for us over the last several years, we will not be using them in the future, as I now need to buy paint and find another service to come out and paint our siding (which Clear Choice broke), leaving me in the negative for this project.

The problem started when they began calling me nonstop every single day, early in the morning, to the point where I had to block their number. I still didn't give up. I had my personal assistant call them to schedule an appointment on my behalf, but they refused. They said I personally had to call and give approval before she could set it up. I'm a busy man, which is exactly why I asked my assistant to handle it. My assistant still didn't give up. She went directly to their website and successfully scheduled an appointment that was supposed to take place today. Yesterday, I received a text message saying they were trying to reach me to confirm the appointment. I replied and confirmed it. Now, this morning, I'm receiving another text message saying they were unable to confirm the appointment, so they canceled it and are telling me that if I want to reschedule, I have to call them. When it came time to install, the installers were generally nice, did a good job cleaning up after themselves and the exterior work was done reasonably well. Things did not go quite so well inside. The windows themselves work fine and are an improvement over what we had previously, but our house was built in 1943 and the interior trim on all the windows and doors is mitered and a particular width. We had also previously tested other window and door frames with a 3M lead test and found that they potentially had lead paint underneath the top layer. The sales rep had assured us they would match the framing style and definitely do a lead test first. The installers did not seem to care about this because they did not test for lead and started right in. When they came to tell us they were finished and show us the final product, what we got was a giant blocky casing that did not in any way match what was in the house. For context, our framing is 3.5 inches in width on all windows and doors in the house. This new framing is 5.5 inches, adding an additional 2 inches all the way around and not mitered. Because the new trim is wider, it doesn't sit level with other framing in the house and it also means the headboard of our bed doesn't fit properly against the wall anymore either. Not to mention it just looks out of place. Additionally, some of the brad nails were also sticking out of the casing and they did not caulk beneath the bottom portion of the trim. I have included pictures for reference, including an example of the original style from one of our other windows we haven't had replaced yet. I understand that sometimes when you have work done on your house, you have to hire someone else to complete another portion or do it yourself (for example, an electrician is not going to repair your wall well or at all after they cut into it), but this feels pretty bad at ~$7K when you also have to do all the painting yourself. What's worse is now we're probably going to end up having to redo the interior casing trim ourselves too. Overall disappointed.
