Aaron and Christian were here to install 2 sets of French doors. They did a great job, they had fantastic attention to detail. When the doors we bought from Home Depot were hung wrong, the next set had bad frames, the next set had a cracked and moldy frame - each time they noticed and noted the corrections the manufacturer needed to either correct or replace. Honestly, I cannot sing their praises enough. the doors are finally, after months of going around and around with Home Depot and the manufacture are in place and looking great, in large part to these two gentlemen. We ordered Milgard sliding patio doors from Home Depot. Kraft was the subcontractor that installed the two sliders. When the truck delivered the two doors they looked big and heavy. We were surprised that there was only one installer that would install both doors. My husband and I were both home and got the chance to watch from a distance as this man picked up each door panel and the frame with care and ease. He was very good at his job and knew what to do. He worked very hard throughout the two days. He was punctual every morning. He answered questions and showed me the specifics about the doors and the warrenty, He was so professional the whole time at our house. It isnt cheap to by patio doors. I'm not a 5 star review writing kind a guy, but James is the exception. He ran into some issues that were related to some Rotted sub flooring as he was replacing our Patio Sliding Door as the Contractor for Home Depot. He could have said sorry you're screwed I can't do it or he could have half assed it, but he didn't approach the problem this way. He was a problem solver and spent 2 additional hrs. to make sure our door was functional until we could get a general contractor to come and repair our sub flooring. He said he would return after that to permanently install the door. James provided solutions not excuses, and was such a positive person that If he isn't sent back to do the work personally, I'll use someone else. There aren't' too many people in the world like James. He should be running a business, not working for someone else. Your lucky to have him! Give him a Raise! The company sent two men to remove our oversized sliding glass door as we purchased a custom set of French Doors through Home Depot which cost almost $6,000. Kraft came out, took out the sliding glass door, cut my custom stone tile floor and attempted to install the French Doors. The doors do not fit and turned out to be 2 year disaster in the making. Kraft didn't bother to measure the French Doors before ripping out my slider, cutting my tile floor and gouging holes into my siding. The French Doors were a 1/2 inch off square on each side of the side lite. The installers said they would write and send report. We after 4 set of French Doors we're made by Jeld-Wen( terrible company) , given the runaround and blaming us for their inability to make custom doors. No one is wanting to fix the siding or my floor. Home Depot offered me $3,000 and I said that anoint wouldn't even cover a contractor. Not one of these companies wants to be responsible for shitty customer service, repairing damage caused and blaming to customer for the mistakes made. Home Depot, Jeld-Wen and Kraft are terrible companies as they have no integrity whatsoever. read more

I just can say enough great things about Kraft Screen & Doors! Fantastic customer service, friendly and knowledgeable staff! We had 2 new Anderson storm screen doors put on our front and back doors. Installer was early for our appointment (always a plus) he took away the old doors and had both doors installed in a little under 1 hour. I love how much light the new doors let in! We were so happy with the service we had Kraft re-screen all our windows. They came out, collected the old screens and frames (I love that since our frames were in good shape they were able to re-use them) about 10 days later our new screens were delivered ( again early for our scheduled appointment time) and re-installed in about 10 mins. Spectacular customer service from Aaron! We replaced the slab on our front door. The foot plate needed to be raised and he was able to fix it and make it stable and secure. Spent Nearly $2K ($1900) for horrible service and they damaged our windows during screen installation. I would call them to ask for repairs but I have already experienced their waste of space manager. What a joke of a company. I'm surprised Home Depot allows this horror show anywhere near their customers. As realtors in the valley we let all of our clients know to use anybody else, we wouldn't dare expose someone to their idiocy and abuse. We called a week before we were going on a trip and let Kraft know that we would not be able to answer our phones during the scheduled install date and to please complete the work. They confirmed and let us know the work would be done and it was no problem. When we got home the work was not done. . . We called them back and asked what happened and they said they came by and nobody was home so they couldn't complete the work. We asked to be put back on the schedule. They said they were booked and they could install in 3 weeks. After arguing with the manager she said I could either accept it or refer to the contract and refund policy which basically said we are keeping the majority of your money since the screens had already been made. So we took their earliest appointment. 6 months later when the weather was nice enough to open the windows we realized rather than using the appropriate brackets on all the windows they had screwed into the frames of 3 of our windows. The seals had been broken and to open the windows we had to remove the screws, which means they measured wrong and decided to install incorrectly damaging our property instead of doing the right thing. I would rather pay for new windows than deal with one more call with their idiot manager. The fact that this company lets her be the face of the company says everything about the owner(s), they are clearly garbage people. We let everyone know that you should avoid this company at all costs. If Home Depot hasn't cancelled their contract with this company they are crazy! read more

We had Kraft install our new front door and replace our ancient storm doors, contracting them through Home Depot. Due to the unusual size of the new front door, they came out to measure twice to be sure it was a good fit. The installer had a tough job to do; the original front door was crooked and the entire frame had to be re-built to be level. The install took an entire day, all new framing and trim, new threshold, etc. In the end, we have a gorgeous front door! The installer did a wonderful job, working well into the evening to ensure everything was done correctly. We also had a great experience with their office staff, and everyone arrived on time for all appointments. We would happily work with Kraft again in the future. read more

Terrible customer service. After a 6 week fiasco of scheduling an estimate/measurement then ordering the door through them (none of which went smoothly) we thought we were in the home stretch with installation scheduled. Unfortunately the installer arrived only to find out he didn't have our door in the truck. I was informed there was no way they could get it installed the same day of my current appointment. After speaking with the office the first time we were offered a rescheduled window 10 days out - which was unacceptable. We've had a retractable screen door since 2005 that had seen its day. Kraft offered a repair, replacement of the screen, or replacement of the entire door. We chose a screen replacement. Danny and Taylor were extremely polite, and the replacement was handled in a timely fashion, at a reasonable price. Run away as fast as you can from this company. We had a french door ordered through Home Depot and they contracted Kraft to do the installation. Just like several other people reviewing this shady outfit I took the day off of work to be sure to be home the day the install was scheduled. They no-showed and later told us that Home depot had misplaced our door. One would think that they would have been able to figure this out a day or two beforehand and call us to reschedule, but this is apparently not how this company operates. Several months later they finally showed up and installed the door. The door was installed shoddily- the hinges looked messy (mis-aligned screws, bits of wood showing behind each screw and the plastic protective film over each hinge was not removed prior to installing the screws). They also installed screws of 1/2" length in the hinges attaching heavy doors to the jamb. These promptly came lose and the door didn't close or open properly. Mind you this was A MONTH after the installation. When the same installer showed up to re-do the hinges the work was again performed with sub-standard quality; the screws in the hinges did not match color and some were missing and many that were present were mis-aligned. The installer used a sharpie to color the top of the mis-matched screws instead of spending the extra time locating the proper hardware. When I pointed this out the installer flew into a fury and stormed off. A call to Kraft was similar in that the customer service was poor- they denied all responsibility and refused to come back and remedy the issues. Horrible, horrible experience. I'll never again use Home Depots installer services, and especially not Kraft. Their website states; "Our goal is to earn your business through superior products, unparalleled service and dedication to customer satisfaction." What a joke. read more

We needed 4 window screens re-screened. I called our local Ace Hardware store and they suggested Kraft in Wilsonville. I dropped off the screens (outside their door, per instructions) at 3:00 pm on a Friday. I expected to wait the standard 3-5 business days for them to complete the job. Within 30 minutes (!) I got a call saying the screens with new mesh and clips were ready for pickup! They look great and appreciate the speedy service. Kraft picked up the two and reinstalled but claimed their ONE YEAR WARRANTY doesn't apply to the third screen that BLEW AWAY. Ordered a slider patio door from Home Depot after Kraft came out to look and measure, which I paid 35.00 for him to come and measure, to find once all was ordered and ready for installation that we had dry rot. Called the contractor to repair the dry rot and then received a call from Home Depot saying I had to pay 379.00 for the guys time to come out and not be able to install the door! I could see paying a portion of that for his time but not almost half of the original installation. Asked for a refund, minus the wasted time and money! I have never written a bad review before but this was the worst way to treat a customer. I am so upset with this whole transaction. Home Depot sent this company to my house to measure for a rear patio slider, for some reason they ignored the PO and measured the front door. I informed HD the next day and a week later I get a call from someone to reschedule someone to come out and measure the correct door. I started the conversation light heartedly and said, "Oh, are they going to measure the right door this time?" and I laughed but the young lady was completely stoic. Ok, no problem, move on. She then gave me their next appt which didn't work for me. I asked if they had any times around lunch, she quickly and rudely said, "I don't know what time your lunch is". That's when finally said, "Never-mind, I'm going to cancel". This company will never be at any of my houses again, started with incompetence and ended with terrible customer service. I recommend looking elsewhere for a door company. I will be sharing my experience with Home Depot as I'm sure they want better from their subcontractors. read more

A few tips for anyone considering this service: the installers are great. Very nice and professional guys. The biggest issue is where they say on their website they value customers and professionalism. NOT at all the case with the women on the phone. It started out nice but the last 4-5 calls were really poor. They shuffled me around and made me explain my question without taking courteous initiative. We had doors and screens installed and when one woman confused my order and told me I was wrong I was shocked at how she handled it. Yes I did have an apt and she wasn't correct. When I asked for an installers number and if she could callback since I didn't have a pen she was super rude. Every time I talk to them I get the impression that they hate their jobs and are inconvenienced by me calling. -it's very hard to get an apt outside of work hours. One gracious installer came on a Saturday but this business needs to realize their customers work too -they do NOT offer a courtesy call to remind you of your apt. I thought this was an industry standard. Don't expect them to go above and beyond. I will not use them again or recommend them. read more

I went to Home Depot to purchase a storm door for my home. I ordered the storm door and handle and requested that it be installed by one of their contracted professionals. I was told that Home Depot exclusively contracts with Kraft Screen & Door. I attempted to pay for the storm door but was told that Kraft insists on sending an installer to my home for correct measurements first. The cost for the measurement was $35.00. So I paid for it and an employee was sent out to measure the door. Several days later, I was contacted by Home Depot to prepay for the screen door, handle, and installation costs. I expressed concern that I would be pre-paying for installation before seeing the quality of work but was told that it is non-negotiable. I paid the entire amount and was told that I would be contacted by Kraft Storm & Door to schedule the installation. The next day, I was contacted and scheduled to have the door installed on the following Thursday morning. Anticipating that I would need to be home for the installation, I scheduled for time off with my employer. On the Wednesday prior to installation, the scheduler for Kraft called me late in the afternoon to inform me that they would need to reschedule the appointment. Even after explaining that I took time off of work and prepaid for the materials and installation, I was told that the work would not be done as scheduled. Period. I was told that all changes to my order would need to take place with Home Depot. I called Home Depot and questioned why I was being treated so badly. They were surprised that I was treated that way and asked if they could call the contractor and discuss the installation changes with them. Five minutes later, they called back and said that the installation would need to be rescheduled. No, they could not compensate me for my lost wages or inconvenience and they could not discount the product installation. I could reschedule or get my money back. I clearly cancelled the installation and got my money back. I will never do business with Kraft Screen and Door again nor contract with Home Depot for installation service ever again. They simply couldn't have cared less about my inconvenience. I can only imagine how it would have been handled if I had issues with the quality of the installation. Stay away from this company.
