The absolute worst deli I have ever visited. There are new owners who sell putrid deli meats and refuse to refund your money or offer a credit when you call about it. They want you keep the meat until you visit again, which in my case will be never. The owner is rude and condescending about your experience-wants proof you have putrid meat, even after you suggest he go over to his own deli and give it a whiff. Avoid this place unless you want to get ill. When I said I would call the health dept. he got extremely nasty and told me to forget about any refunds, etc. read more

Ordered from here with my absolute boy last night after we got in from Chicago. We hadn't eaten in hours bc Avelo Airlines doesn't even hand out pretzels. This was my first time flying into Tweed, I'd probably do it again solely because this place exists relatively nearby. I got the cheesesteak, my friend got the buffalo chicken sandwich. We both deleted our sandwiches in a matter of minutes because he has this big dog that was eyeing us longingly and we didn't want to prolong this torture. My sandwich was huge and SO good. One thing I'll mention is that on DoorDash there's no description of what comes on the sandwich. I rolled the dice and selected the grilled onions option but it came with the classic cheesesteak toppings + mayo which threw me at first but 100% would do the exact same thing all over again. This place has pretty good sandwiches hot or cold. Sometimes its busy but they move pretty quickly to get your order ready. I will say that 10% of the time you don't get enough cold cuts in your sandwich but that happens everywhere. But all in all pretty solid place for a quick bite to eat and snacks. read more

Writing this review for one reason only- the sandwiches! That's right---that little place in the middle of the parking lot with a name on the sign you couldn't pronounce if your were drunk, Krauszer's, has the best sandwiches. Everything? Yes, everything- multiple sizes, small (roll), medium (7 in) and large (10 in), Boar's head meats and cheeses and toppings galore. But what really makes this place one of my "must stops" when I'm home from DC is that they don't skimp. When I order a turkey, BLT, I'm getting equal amounts of bacon and turkey and for $6! Of course I need a drink or chips with that but hey, its a convenience store so I know they've got anything accompaniment I want in that place. They have Wachusett chips fro $0.35...now where they do that at? Nobody has chips that cheap anymore. Open 24hours a day, you just can't beat this place for a good sandwich. Krauszer's is a hidden gem, and having grown up in the area, I can tell you first hand that the chain goes underappreciated by the people who live around here. This deli differentiates itself by staying open 24 hours. In this area of Connecticut, the lights are out by 10:00pm. Nothing is really open. Krauszers not only stays open all night, but they keep their complete deli open and offer full service food preparation. Their sandwiches are particularly good. Their deli is not luxury stock, but it is much higher quality than other deli chains, such as Wawa and Sheetz. Their sub rolls are very good and their hard rolls are excellent. I recommend trying some of their specials as a way of getting a good deal and trying deli meats you may have never had before. They get some interesting things in there. Their deli has a full service grill where 24/7 you can order bacon, eggs, chicken nuggets and strips, french fries, etc. Their prices on all deli items are excellent, and they serve better foods than 24/7 stores anywhere I've been so far with the possible exception of some major cities. Their convenience store is pretty average, with prices that are a bit high, but any downsides to their convenience business are far outweighed by their deli, which truly is the only game in town for sandwiches overnight. They blow the diners out of the water, though admittedly there is no place to sit on site. One other slight downside is that it can get pretty busy during the day, so if you show up during the lunch or dinner rushes, prepare to wait a while for your food. i dont even know where to start. i get steak and cheeses from krauszer's all the time and they're always perfect. tonight i decided i wanted to try something different. i got the 6 piece wings and every piece was beyond squishy. idk if it was raw or what. skin was crispy but the inside was just squishy and gross. on top of that i got a buffalo chicken wrap and it wasnt at all what i expected. everybody knows what buffalo chicken wrap you're expecting when you get a buffalo chicken wrap. it literally tasted like turkey and cheese wrap. i understand it could possibly be like, deli buffalo chicken but disclose that at least. nobody thinks that when you ask for a buffalo chicken wrap. im pissed off. waste of money. very displease. the onion rings were good, my fries were limp and soggy. im so so upset. krauszer's, im expecting a refund. i'll be back with my food and this review in the morning! read more

I have been buying subs from this place for several years. I must say they have one of the best Steak & Cheese subs in the local area. The cook at night would always take care of me until recently when he decides if he feels like making Steak & Cheese subs or not. His excuse is that he has to cook bacon for the next day. OK well if it's 9pm and you are telling me you have to cook bacon for tomorrow? It's all lies and these guys are full of sh*t. The only reason they do this is to sell u a cold or chicken cutlet sub as the alternative. I have been btw the hours of 9pm, 12pm and 2am and it does not matter. I am giving this store 1 star because 0 is not allowed. I went into the store to get a cup of chicken salad because I had a craving. I was literally the ONLY person in the store besides the person at the register. I was told, "(insert name here) is not here, you can't get a sandwich". I never thought I would be writing this about what was my favorite place to get lunch, but something needs to be said. Krauszer's on State St. was the best place to eat for lunch with out emptying your wallet. The subs were well portioned and the Boars Head ingredients always fresh and grade A. Lately they have raised the prices of their subs to a ridiculous $8.50 and cut back on the quality. The bread tastes like it was made last week and the condiments, which some they charge extra for, look like they have been sitting for a long time. Don't even think about a sandwich from the warmer, because chances are they've been in there since 6 A.M. It really is a shame. Hopefully the owner will read this and bring Krauszer's back to the way it was. read more
