Someone told us there was a live feed on YouTube facing this particular corner. Since they couldn't come with us, they suggested to call when we're here so they can take a photo off the feed. See attached picture! We were kinda bummed this bar was closed (I guess we were too early!) It would have been cool to try them out! But if you want something funny and cool to do, take note and have fam or friends at home take a pic of you in the feed! read more

I've been to New Orleans dozens of times and I always find myself here! The Krazy Korner is one of the few places where I can see live music from local Black Artists on Bourbon Street and it was everything I was looking for! The Band was playing R&B hits all night! It was such a vibe!!! There's never a cover and the door hosts found us a table! The drinks were great, cold, and delicious! read more

The reason for my five stars for Krazy Korner is for the house band, The Daywalkers, who usually play between 1-6pm, and I don't know if they take breaks, but for the many times I have seen them there, I have never seen them take one. They play every genre, but their Zydeco is incredible because of the Washboard. Been following them for years, and they did online performances during Covid and took tips on Venmo. The bar has a big open dance floor, and typical Nola vibe. The drinks aren't cheap, but they have to pay the band, so I get it. Although I always tip a live band, it's a fact that not everyone does. We stopped by two days during our weekend visit. read more

Let's call this what it is, folks-it's a bar in the heart of Bourbon Street. I've seen a lot of people complain about the prices, but $15 for a drink was pretty standard all around the French Quarter. Plus, there was no cover to hear the awesome band and we were allowed to sit down with drinks we had purchased at another bar. I've also seen a lot of complaints about shot girls, but I didn't see a single one. The bouncers didn't hassle us, the bartender was quick, and the hurricane I ordered wasn't bad. We heard the band Alterna play and they were great, playing a bunch of 90s alternative hits that had us up singing and dancing with the other patrons. My point is, if you're on Bourbon Street looking for a classy joint with cheap drinks, you're definitely in the wrong place! read more

My friend and I dropped by Krazy Korner Tuesday evening around 11, and it was pretty dead. Only a handful of people were inside. To be fair, most of Bourbon St was pretty dead on a Tuesday evening in February... We were attracted by the live music we heard, which was a band doing rock band covers. The band that night has a QR code you can scan to get a list of songs you can request. We got a rum and coke and a margarita from the bar for $23. Both were decent, with the rum and coke being very strong. We stayed for 20 minutes or so until the cover band called it a night and left. read more

It's indeed a crazy corner. Stopped here to get a drink and it's $15! Expensive but this is normal on bourbon street. However, the pour was quite generous and there was a band playing with no cover charge! Bartender was great!! read more

Fun joint with great music. Was invited in while admiring from outside even though I hadn't finished my drink which they didn't make me toss it to enter! Bartender Lynn mixed awesome drinks and was friendly. Appreciated that the drinks also didn't break the bank. Good place to enjoy a drink on Bourbon Street and listen to some great tunes. Band ROCKED and we made so many memories and we danced the night away. They were kind and played so many requests but dang, I think there was a divorce party going on since all ladies kept getting requesting was Alanis Morrissette. Before you order a drink, ask how much they are. At 4 pm on a Thursday, the older lady bartending charged me $22.50 for a Coors light and a single vodka Redbull ($25 w/ tip). Paid cash and I'm sure it didn't go in the til. These people spot tourists a mile away and will take advantage of you. Sad. Was it really worth this review?? Same drinks across the street at the Irish bar, $8. Great people too read more

!!!! Beware of the shot girls!!!! I asked how much the shots were and she said $8 a shot. She then gave me and my husband two shots each and charged us $64!!! The music is great and everyone else is great but beware of this scam! It's been happening for years according to these reviews so management must not care‍ read more

Twilight Zone experience... this lace is smack center of Bourbon Street. It doesn't get much more NoLa than this area. I was in the mood for a Sazerac, again, you can't get a more local cocktail. There was a band playing although there wasn't a single patron inside so I decided to be the first. I ask for a Sazerac and the bartender looks at me w a confused face. It was loud so I repeat myself. She points to a bottle of Bombay Sapphire. Once again, I clearly say SA-ZER-AC. She shrugs and hands me a drink menu and sure enough, it does not even have it on the menu. But it has an old fashioned and other popular cocktails. If they don't have them, they don't. But to have a bartender be that clueless was so bizarre. read more

This bar was pretty fun. It has a cool balcony on the second floor. The main bar was fun, they have bands that play on stage. It can get interesting for sure!! The space is huge. The bathrooms are tiny and creepy. It must be a very old building. Check it out. It's just a part of the dirty old Bourbon street fun. Go at least once! read more

The bands that play here are phenomenal (i.e. Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers rocked it on Saturday, 7/9) and the happy hour drinks of 3-for-1 are fabulous. The acoustics are really, really something else. Hard to even hear yourself make an order to the bartender. One thing of note: drinks get to be very, very expensive after certain times in the evening. $28 for two mai tais at 10 PM? Yikes! read more

Stopped in on our bar crawl down Bourbon St, came just as one band ended. There was a guy filling in between sets. He was HILARIOUS and knew the crowd. Sang a lot of classics and would hold out microphone so individual people could sing the next lines into the microphone. His ad-libs and mannerisms were also so krazy. Would 100p come back for him. Bar was definitely crowded, but grateful that bartender saw me and got my order. Got beers at the bar for $9, including tip. Shots girls did come around asking if you wanted shots, but backed off when we indicated we didn't. Bathroom is in way back, and it is so small. Hold your bladder. read more

After THEE LONGEST FLIGHT ever, my girls and I ventured fown to Bourbon around 12:30am to just enjoy what energy we had to spare. We stumbled in here and didn't leave until 5:26am'ish. OMG the music was great, the floors were sticky and it was soooo hot. We had a ball. Shots and awesome company around me we let the FQ welcome us with beads of sweat running down our legs and dancing like no one was watching. Note - If you don't have cash they will charge an addition 1.50 to your credit card tab. read more

Aggressive and unprofessional shot girls. Did NOT take no for an answer, would follow, CHASE, harass and FORCE shots down your throat even when told NO repeatedly. Also over charges you even though clearly shown what the cost is. Physically aggressive bouncer that I witnessed throwing a patron to the ground. Shady and unsafe. read more

Wish I could give this place no star. Like some other reviews said, the shot girls would not take no for an answer. We repeatedly said no but she still forced it down both of our throats as soon as we walked in the bar. VERY overpriced drinks. My boyfriend and I got shots forced down our throats (weren't even strong), then got charged $30 dollars for both. With that money, I could've gotten completely wasted with the amount of alcohol I can get at other places. Very unprofessional and terrible bar. read more

BOUNCERS ARE SO RUDE! They don't know what out of state IDs look like!! I came here the other night with two of my girl friends we are visiting from out of state and when we went to get in the bouncers confiscated one of my friends ID. When she asked for it back the bouncer (a big guy) cornered us and started yelling at us and shoved my friend. We are going back today to get her ID but after that I'm NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN. read more

This place is a joke! My wife got pickpocketed while standing at the bar listening to the band. The manager here could care less. The police could care less. She lost her ID password and bank cards and your phone and her driver's license. They literally said there's nothing they could do and everyone knows this goes on here. The lure of bourbon street pulled myself and my friend in here. I know that bourbon street bars aren't going to be high class joints. I get it. But the test tube shot girl literally just poured shots down our throats before we knew what was happening and it cost $30 but we only had cards. So we all three had to go wait at the bar for the ONE bartender to acknowledge us. The shot girl was very nice but damn she got us. My problem is with the ONE bartender on Halloween night moving at a snails pace like she couldn't give two flying fucks that she were working and didn't seem to want to be there. I wanted to jump back there and help her. It was ridiculous. THERES A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CROWDED BAR AND WAITING FOR DRINKS AND A CROWDED BAR AND WAITING FOR DRINKS BECAUSE THE BARTENDER SUCKS. Came here after a long day of drinking to have fun . The shot girl is literally a robber who should be in jail. Horrible service and customer service. She poured the shots in my mouth when I told her I didn't want them. and then processed to charge me $80. I work in nightlife and I would never have this happen in my workplace. I told her I didn't want a shot 4 times because we didn't want to pay for them and then she said "baby ur good" and then made us pay. $80 later I'm pissed and will never be returning. I respect the hustle but not scamming. I watched them do it to multiple people. read more

Good quality live music. The band played a lot of different type of music. I was surprised that no one checks ID at the door. The girls with shots in test tubes walk around the floor offering to pour shots. They didn't seem that pushy to people, at least not with me, I guess I don't look like that much fun. Two bars downstairs, the first one didn't pay attention to me, but the second bar at the back gave service right away. Drinks prices don't seem too excessive. The bathroom is horrible, imagine rundown alleyway style and cramped. In these situations I think we all appreciate some personal space. Please make your bathroom a bit nicer guys. There is a bathroom attendant expecting a dollar for handing you soap and paper towel. I walked up and down Bourbon st a few times and this seemed to be one of the bars with the most people. The four stars are for the music and overall vibe. read more

The drinks are definitely pricey here. I ordered two gin and tonics and I watched the bartender pour doubles (which I didn't ask for) and proceed to charge me for doubles as well. I was a little tipsy at that point so I didn't say anything. The saving grace here is the live music. They have awesome live performers here! Every time I walked by the music was great, and the one night we spent here there was a band with a female lead singer and they sang the best hits. I had a great time here! read more

Misleading advertising on the 3 for 1 sign. You do not get 3 drinks, you get 1 drink the size of 3 (supposedly). We got 3 redbull vodkas, thinking it would be the price of 1 drink, we paid $30. The bartender then explained that it was 3 shots for the price of one, but she didn't even put in 3 shots, she put in 2 shots in each. Also, she was mostly paying attention to the men getting drinks and making their drinks before ours even though she had gotten our drink order already. It was a fun bar, but service was not good, there's so many other bars to pick from that will treat you well. read more

I'm not here to argue any of those points. I will say this: expecting live musicians to perform for free until you decide whether they're worth paying is ridiculous. The cover is usually only $5...$10 max. If that's a dealbreaker, this probably isn't your place. Stay home and stream Spotify. Now... I have some friends in town, and whenever that happens, a Monday night trip to the Spotted Cat is basically mandatory. I've been coming here for years and years. Yes, it's super touristy now, but it still gives me the warm fuzzies every time I walk through those doors. So I'm presenting the "compliment sandwich" review. Never heard of it? You start with a compliment, slip in some constructive-ish criticism, then end with another compliment. Supposedly people receive feedback better that way. Let's see. First, the music. Outstanding. Chris Christy wasn't what I thought I wanted to hear until I actually heard him. I felt completely transported. Man, can that guy play the guitar. It felt kinda like gypsy music. Then came the Frenchmen Street Allstars. The last time I saw them, they had a different lead singer and, honestly, they kind of felt like a completely different band, aside from the phenomenal drummer. This version did not disappoint. It was a great mix of jazz and New Orleans standards. Both bands were great! **Now a note to management.** Great music isn't enough. The bar should be every bit as memorable as the stage. Forgive me, I didn't get the bartenders' names, so I have to describe them by physical traits. The first bartender, the guy with the mountain of curly hair, was friendly enough and made decent drinks. Later, another bartender with a short haircut took over and made the best drinks of the night. Then there was the bartender with the black and hot pink hair. She looked like she'd rather be anywhere else. She rarely smiled, her demeanor felt unwelcoming, and it almost came across as hostile. On top of that, the drinks she made were so weak I genuinely wondered if there was any alcohol in them. Seriously. They were that bad. Here's my philosophy: if you're going to be grumpy, aloof, or have some other off-putting trait, you'd better make a mean drink. Years and years ago there was a bartender named Curtis who wasn't exactly sunshine and rainbows, but that man could make a cocktail. I didn't need him to smile because the drink did all the talking. If the drink is mostly soda, though, friendliness becomes a lot more important. Unfriendly and bad bartending is a double whammy. She must be somebody's child or partner because I can't think of any other reason to employ a bad bartender. I hate to belabor the point, but the drinks aren't cheap. Cheap and bad I can take. For another comparison, there's another bartender there, I'm pretty sure her name is Chris. She's been there for years. She's all business. Maybe a little surly. Who am I kidding? A lot surly. But she's a character. More importantly, she makes a great drink. That's the kind of personality that somehow fits the Spotted Cat perfectly. Now let me end with the final piece of "bread" on my compliment sandwich. The doorman deserves his own review. That gravelly-voiced "Welcome to the Spotted Cat!" is part of the experience. Then he absolutely hammers that stamp onto your wrist. Somehow you don't even mind because you know what's waiting on the other side: incredible music, a fun room, and one of the best nights you can have on Frenchmen Street. Just don't let the bartender with the pink and black hair make your drink.

This past Saturday evening was surprisingly quiet up there, possibly due to White Linen happening on the other side of the CBD. I wasn't complaining, believe me! It was perfect out there for me and just when I thought things couldn't possibly get better, I saw the cocktail menu. Frosé, baby! Passionfruit frosé, yes please. Also, prices are not as high as you'd expect. My guy got a $3 Modelo. Frosé was $8. Inside, there was a pianist leading a room full of people singing Christmas songs together ,it felt spontaneous, lively, and genuinely joyful. What was supposed to be a quick stop turned into us staying much longer than planned. The atmosphere was infectious, and we couldn't resist soaking it all in instead of just grabbing drinks to go.We had an amazing time and it truly lifted our spirits and ended up being a memorable part of the evening.

While I knew of the drink French 75, on the bar menu it was offered with either gin or cognac. I decided to try the cognac and so glad I did. Perfectly delicious! It turns out that drink is actually a French 125, so I learned something new that night. Great spot with a great vibe.
