This was such a fun bar and possibly my favorite spot on Bourbon! It is Western themed, and it really leans into this (for example, the bar seats are crafted as adorable horse saddles!) There's a ton to do in this bar as well aside from milling around with a drink, from a mechanical bull to corn hole. My friends and I all tried the bull, which was fun and felt safe. I was in Nola this weekend and noticed alot of strange things from this bar. Bathroom is horrible, the waitress was rude and intoxicated. This bar was super fun! There's two dance floors plus a courtyard area. Our group of 5 had a blast. They teach line dancing, have bull riding, photo opportunities, game areas and good drinks. 1st floor bartender on Saturday may 16th at around 10:30 pm. This bartender was very rude. I asked him for a Paloma and he said they don't make that there when it was clearly on the menu on the table. Then I asked for a margarita and he said he can make that but that I better give him a big tip. As he made it and gave me back the cash and I held the cash and was seeing what he gave me back without any time to spare he said "so are you going to tip me or what". I'll be honest I was upset on why he was so pushy about it so I gave him $1 because of it and then he was like "get out of here you broke ass bitches". And my friend said "that's crazy behavior" and the bartender flipped her off :o. I didn't have a problem with the other bartenders thought...The girl who ordered before me looked pissed too when she walked away, not sure if she had a similar experience but I was confused as to why she was so mad. read more

BULL Riding, Cornhole, Giant connect 4, this is my kind of bar, where you get to do so many things, of course all alongside getting boozed. There's 2nd floor balcony to watch the crowd and throw some beads at them. If lucky you get flashed sometimes, IYKYK :P We went to the club on a quite Monday night. It was mostly empty. So we all piled on the bull ride thats on 2nd floor. You get 3 rounds, each last about 30s~60s based on your skills. It costs around $5 per ride. Really fun thing to experience, but high chances injuries, so take it easy, cause you sign the waiver before you get on the bull. On the chill side, there's cornhole, connect 4 and few other games next to the bar in first floor. The first floor bar is massive. There's a smaller bar on second floor as well. Oh my goodness! How I needed some Morgan Whalen and saddles to belly up to a bar. It was early and mostly empty but oh so much fun! The country favorites flowed from the juke box (?) but wait the cold very cold beer was necessary. Our bartender was precious and very accommodating. This was one of the more fun places we stopped at on bourbon street. It's a big bar, country western themed so the music is as such. There's games to play here which is why we went in- it's always nice to have activities for people to do so they're not just sitting. Cornhole, beer pong, pool, and more. Fun atmosphere. Bathrooms were not the worst we experienced but there is a lady who tries to sell you trinkets in the women's bathroom lol. I would come here again! read more

Mechanical Bull operator threw my ID and waiver form at me to sign instead of putting it on the table 1 foot away from him. He was overall very impatient with our group and resorted to yelling even when it was still pretty quiet in the bar. Not sure what the excuse for all that was. Of course Bourbon st bars don't have the best service but this place had the most hostile energy. The bartender who sold us our tickets was kind. Just be prepared to advocate for yourself with some of the staff, especially if you are with a group of other women. read more

Another bucket list item fulfilled. My time at Boot Scootin Rodeo was one of the most lit moments of my NOLA girl's trip. Housed in a beautiful, Wild West saloon style building, Boot Scootin is a blast! Buy a ticket, order a drink, get in your bare feet and ride the bull. I was rocking and riding and yelling and the next thing you know, folks were making it rain... on me! The crowd and staff here is incredibly charming and they certainly live up to the NOLA motto, "Let The Good Times Roll." Each ticket gets you at least 2 rounds on El Tauro. Don't grab the ears while trying to stay on. Falling off and hitting the helium floor mat was actually the best part. Felt like a movie. Loved it! read more

Pretty over priced considering... 14 bucks for a drink that everywhere else was between 6 and 9 bucks.. It was early, so there was no one there.. No happy hour I guess.... This review is solely based on the staff...specifically the ridiculously nasty bartender pictured! Had a couple of drinks with my friends. The bar was kinda empty so we decided to move on. Walked up to this witch and asked for a cup of water. Her response..." you take care of me, then I'll take care of you ". Asked the question again bc I assumed I heard her wrong and I got the same response! Number one, we already bought drinks there and tipped well. Two, how rude is it to demand a tip. Three, it was a cup of freakin water!! I've been a bartended, waiter and did other service jobs so I know the work involved. I've never expected a tip for water and never had anyone rudely ask! I never wrote a review for this place and it's been a long while since I stopped by, matter a fact it was on or about March 8th 2020 right before the whole world shut down for covid. I couldn't even remember the name of the place but found it after trying to tell a buddy about it. I do remember our bartenders name was Travis and he was AWESOME. The atmosphere here is great if you like country music which we do. Not super crowded like some places on bourbon. They have saddles at the bar and a mechanical bull. The drinks are reasonably priced which is hard to find sometimes. For example at that time a shot of Jameson straight up was $4. We had so much fun we forgot to take pictures lol. Sorry. I recommend this place if you are looking for an alternative to bourbon cowboy. read more

Horrible. We went tonight, paid for 2 people to ride the bull and got 1 receipt showing 2 rides. My friend gave the operator the ticket and pointed to me to indicate we were both paid for. He crumpled the ticket and threw it away. When it was my turn, and didn't have a ticket (because he threw it away) I explained what happened he was so rude and told me to dig through the trash if I wanted to ride. I told him to shove it, then I dug through the trash just to show him he was wrong. He was so unprofessional and creepy we will never be coming back here. read more

I really enjoyed this place! It was very clean and spacious. We didn't feel cramped into some tight little area like quite a few of the bars on bourbon are like. The atmosphere was all around nice and of course good country music! The live band playing when we were there was really good! I ordered their famous boot that the guy at the door kept saying to try. Again another sweet mixed drink but I will say the boot is probably the only sweet mixed drink I'll order again over all the other spots on bourbon. The cup is really cute and the strength of that drink was no joke even though it didn't taste it at all. You can refill your boot for a discounted price but you really only need one unless your plans are to wake up and not remember the night before!!! read more
