Not the best donuts in the are but Krispy Kreme is close to where I live so it's great for satisfying my sweet tooth. After all the years of eating their donuts, I still love their original glazed donut the best, maybe because it brings me back to high school when Krispy Kreme first started out. My next two favorites are the glazed lemon filled and chococlate custard filled donuts. I also like how they have cute holiday themed flavors like snowmen and heart shaped donuts. read more

My brother loves Krispy Kreme though to avoid being overcome by obesity, we avoid coming here too often. It's still a great place to get donuts and coffee before going mall walking. My brother likes the blueberry cake donuts when they have them. So, doughnuts, I have to admit I do love these on occasion. I really like them fresh and it seems they are only fresh on a very certain timeline, so no fresh ones for me...I am not usually on the way to a place with a microwave so I have to settle for eating it cold, and that's simply not the way to do it. Them being cold is just like any other doughnut, really. What I'd really like is to have an actual semblance of a line. Everyone just sort of crowds around the small doughnut viewing area and if two or three people are picking their donuts, it's hard to see the selection. That means people start walking around the people ordering to get a view and then suddenly they're ahead of us in line and don't care we've been standing there for a while...nice, get your doughnuts three minutes ahead of us, if you need them THAT badly. Coffee is quite possibly made from the finest quality of nature, there was no amount of cream or sugar that made it taste anything less than farmyard dirt. And I know the taste of farmyard dirt, we were all children once. I dumped half of it, ran you out of cream, decimated your sugar, and still ended up throwing it out. read more

Warning to others: Do not order online. I ordered 1 dozen glazed, 1 dozen assorted. Apparently, when you order online the system does not give you the same price so I paid an extra $7. When I got home, I opened my box of assorted only to realize there was not a single donut that I had ordered in it. They already had substituted my glazed for minis, which was fine, but the assorted was a box full of boring donuts I did not want. I immediately drove back to the store only to find they had locked all their doors a half hour before their posted closing time. I walked over to the drive thru window and got the associates attention. She wanted to see my receipt and proceeded to tell me which of those donuts they were out of (which they weren't out of the first time I was there). I been coming here a lot because is the Only Krispy Kreme in my area and almost every time I ordered there Dozen Original Glazed donuts is been amazing but unfortunately my last visits wasn't. The donut does not look like there usual shape, is a bit small and thicker. Laziness and bad business to have ONLY one time which happens to be when they first open around 6:00 a.m. to buy warm donuts. I have a microwave but it just doesn't taste the same as freshly warm. I have never been to a Krispy Kreme location that does this poorly thought business decision to only serve warm once a day. Super depressing visit with staff that is uncaring and uncommunicative... When asked if they would have more of a type of doughnut they said uh I don't know and instead just ignored us. I just came from this location. It literally takes about 30 minutes to get there so imagine how happy I was after an hour round trip for donuts that each person specifically requested, and the ones I even paid extra for were not with me when we returned. Of what we ordered, which was one dozen assorted, one dozen original, and 3 chocolate kreme (the ones that look like a chocolate hostess cupcake), when ordering we we were told they did not have the cinnamon apple filled, dulce de leche, cinnamon bun, blueberry cake, or blueberry filled, even though we did the order off the specific store website. So we had to figure out what everyone would want instead from what they did have. Then we get to the window and are told they also did not have apple fritters, of course I had paid extra for that one. So, literally HALF the dozen assorted we ordered they didn't have! So, the girl (Lily) substituted a chocolate kreme for the apple fritter (apparently she knows the donuts they sell), but when we got home found that (Tacker) put chocolate glazed raised donuts instead of the three chocolate kreme that I was charged over $4 extra for! And I saw him READING THE ORDER RIGHT OFF THE RECEIPT!!! Then when we found the errors when we finally got home, I tried for over 30 minutes to contact the store, and no one would answer! Number one, it is my opinion that on a Sunday morning before church is even out that it is ridiculous to have unavailable half a dozen or more varieties, and more ridiculous that the people working in that store are able to charge extra for donuts that they clearly don't even know what they are or look like! This store wouldn't honor the promo that was emailed to us - said it was only good for the East Coast - but it didn't say that anywhere in the coupon. For manufactured doughnuts they are okay. Might as well save time and money by going to the grocery store. Coffee is drinkable but with enough cream and sugar anything can be gulped down. I've always loved their doughnuts. But I was even more impressed that they helped me with my special request of chocolate frosting eyes for my daughters Halloween themed birthday party. They did it at no extra charge. They also give you a free doughnut and beverage on your birthday. It's not advertised but if you mention it's your birthday they will offer it to you. I had no knowledge about this, however my daughter walked in wearing a birthday pin and they told me about it. Also did I mention it's any doughnut of your choice. Wow really. I have not updated because I love Krispy Kreme and hoped I was just having bad experiences. Nope. Tonight I went in because the hot light was on. Drive out of our way to get a hot donut. Asked for hot donuts. She handed me cold ones. This is of course after we paid. Now I told her three different times I wanted a hot one. So I said but what are you running now can I get that? She told me no they are not the same. I said but I didn't want a cold donut. She said they get cold fast anyway. Wow. Then why have an app for the hot light if you will get ca donuts anyway. No more. Service was good. Doughnuts are always delicious! But I only ever get the original glaze Doughnuts. We tried the hazelnut latte and that we did not enjoy at all. Best part was that we got our dozen of doughnuts for half off since we went right before closing. I never knew it was a thing! As it goes with so many places that start out fantastic, over time the quality has suffered. Sometimes the donut oil is rancid, pure and simple. You can taste it and smell it inside the store. Not super impressed with this location. Super slow! The drive thru gets all the attention. They need to teach the employees how to move the line quicker. Well I have tried 3 donuts places near me each week and each time got over a dozen types. The donut palace, sesame donuts and Krispy creme. Honestly I was hoping for a better winner. But overall goes to Krispy creme for the quality of the donuts. Next is donut palace (best buttermilk) and third is sesame donuts (good selection and creme in donuts were good) just average on the dough part. Krispy creme was soft and freshest tasting. If your in portland on the east side, Try heavenly donuts they are a tasty place too. I still need to try more donuts downtown. read more

okay so when KK came to Oregon I couldnt understand why everyone was all atwitter over glazed doughnuts. Then I was dragged to the store right after they finished a batch. I was first impressed that you got to see how they were made. Then I was handed a hot..... I do mean hot out of the oil doughnut.... I took a bite..... I swear... my eyes got 10 times bigger and became all pupil. My heart may have grown 3 sizes and I was hooked on the sugary crack puffed air that was in my hand. I did not know how I HAVE LIVED BEFORE THIS DOUGHNUT. and was saddened when it was gone. I am positive it is coated in and baked with a special kind of crack. Seriously my gods this was heaven.... I ate a bit of heaven..... then I proceeded to run in circles for hours. I may have been banished from several friends houses since I couldnt stay still or anything. The sugar had hit me and I was an instantly on the ceiling. I now only go here once or twice a year as my body can only handle that kind of onslaught that much. Krispy Kreame. What can I say? Good place to get good doughnuts. You have to go in when the light is on to get then nice, hot and fresh. You walk in and are presented with pictures on the walls of Krispy Cream in his baby and childhood years. Walk in the second set of doors and are presented with a large glass wall showing the kitchen. One great thing about this is you can watch them make the doughnuts. Lots of seating and if your not a coffee drinker they do have other choices such as juices, soda and tea. read more

damn this place for being literally across the street from 24 hour fitness. while i'm driving by, the aroma of sweet warm donuts lurk through my vents and tell me "hey fatty you dont need to go to the gym today, have a donut." especially when the "hot and fresh" sign or whatever the heck is says is turned on, it only means theres a free fresh hot donut waiting for me on top of the dozen i would've planned to buy if i stepped in. but its too bad i don't have a strong sweeth tooth. the sweet smell in the air is already enough for me.. I went through the drive through this morning at about 11:15, ordered half a dozen plain, 2 chocolate cake doughnuts, and a medium caramel latte. I was handed box and a single chocolate cake doughnut in a bag. I asked where the second chocolate cake was. The window person told me "I put it in the box". Came home. Was told by my daughter that she got a small watered down latte, we found no other chocolate cake doughnut "in the box". RIP OFF!!!!! Do not go to this Crispy Creme location. I have been to this Krispy Kreme locations a couple times in the past and I have decided to visit it more often as I have changed my diet to incorporate cheat days. And my experience with this specific location for the past few weeks has not been pleasant. Beginning with the employees, they always seem so out of it. Not like dozing off or anything like that, but more like being a clutz. Like, there was this one time I asked them a certain dietary question about their donuts when it was my turn in line to make my order, and the employee behind the counter looked at me like I had asked them a bizarre question and instead ignored my question and made quick hand gestures in motions of "Get on with it and choose your donuts." And there were other times where when I went up to the cash register to pay, they would never ask me anything else like if I wanted a drink or even ask if I had a rewards membership with them (I have missed out on a lot of freebies and rewards redemptions because of this). Enough of my complaints. There are some solutions to these problematic problems I experience in my visits. Number one would be to train all your employees to have a higher quality of customer terms interaction and communication. Number two would be to have a more competent manager in charge that can actually handle complex customer situations rather than ignoring them. Number three could be having more employees on deck? Because often times, it is always understaffed and everyone behind the counter always seems to be rushing to make orders. It all seems so inefficient in my eyes. That all being said, I won't be coming here anymore for my weekly cheat days and will be going somewhere else for my donut needs. read more

The drive-thru is a complete joke. I will never use it again. There were 4 cars in line, I waited 30 min. That's not an exaggeration. I got into line at 8:50 am, and exited the line, after receiving my 1 donunt and donuts holes at 9:20. In the time that I sat there, unable to exit, 2 employees came out and moved/checked on some signage. Neither of them said anything about the wait, apologies, nothing. I will say that I'm writing this review because it is not the first time this has happened. The last time I was there, I had some extra time, but still noticed that the drive-thru had taken us 15 min to get through. More than that the time before that. It isn't because its packed- I want to be clear about that. I would never ding a place for being busy- that's a great thing for a business. For the life of me I can't explain to you why this encounter took 30 min. Lots of high volume orders? PUT THEM IN A DIFFERENT LINE. Broken machine? HAVE SOMEONE COME OUT AND SAY SOMETHING. Something I don't know about? JUST SAY SOMETHING. Have the courtesy to come out and let your customers know that people are alive in there. I'm so disappointed. read more

We were at Safeway grocery shopping when we decided not to get their donuts and drive to Krispy Kreme for fresh ones.. but to our surprise they weren't fresh at all.. they tested like they were made the day before and at $13 a dozen I expected something with more cream and less greasy.. I was excited for Boston cream donut but they do not have it and the variety they have it's just not that good .. Over all did not meet my expectations and their donuts taste average .. at Safeway they are 5.99 for dozen and about the same quality..
