I have never been a Krispy Kreme fan; however, I saw an ad for their Holiday Dozen, and I thought my family would enjoy some cute donuts for our Christmas Eve gathering. I placed my order, and with much anticipation, arrived Christmas Eve morning to collect the Holiday Dozen for which I had ordered and prepaid. Silly me, I thought when you place an order, schedule a time for pickup and arrive to pick up your order, it would be ready. Upon my arrival, the staff member gathered a box, wondered cluelessly through racks and racks of pre-made donuts and eventually emerged with my box. When I got home, I was shocked by what I received and could not believe I paid 12.99 for the box I received. Needless to say, I won't be ordering @krispykreme donuts again. This location has THE best employees. I went in to pick up an online order yesterday morning when I realized I placed it for the wrong location. Gold and Janice were SOSOSO incredible!! they offered me a donut while I called the other location to cancel and my order was ready by the time I was off the phone. Food is great but the service is probably the worst service I've ever had at a krispy kreme. I live an hour away so when we come up for dinner or whatever usually we'll stop and get donuts as well. Last time we did this they were closed an hour early and the person at the window told me that it was because the manager had to pick his kid up. Now I get it. Im not an asshole. Bless the Krispy Kreme on Polaris Pkwy for being open at 9:43pm when I had a sudden, overwhelming craving for a chocolate glazed original doughnut. They still had plenty available. Fresh, though not "hot doughnut" fresh, even though they were prepping to close at 10pm. The lighted drive-thru menu had been turned off, but a young gentleman leaned out from the pickup window and waved me over as my car rounded the building so I could place my order directly. He, along with the cashier who ran my card, were both impressively polite and professional despite their late hour. My only disappointment was with the website, where I attempted on August 28 to place a preorder for their one-day-only, special Artimis "moon" doughnuts made only on the scheduled launch date of August 29. Despite the promo banner on the front page, no Artemis doughnuts could be found which led me to believe this was not a participating site, nor were the others in Columbus. Or so it seemed, but the Artemis doughnuts were listed to order, individually or in an assortment of a dozen, after all when I checked on the 29th. read more

Love love love donuts! I joined Krispy Kreme's subscription and because of that I got a free donut for my birthday! The Valentine's donuts were in, so it was hard to not get a couple of those! The smiley face heart donut was smiley back at me, saying eat me, eat me! So, I had to get it! The smiley face had a strawberry icing with cream filling. Pretty tasty! Only thing I didn't like was the eye balls, but I kind of figured that's how it would be. I also got a raspberry filled donut because raspberry filled are absolutely one of my favorite donuts! It did not disappoint whatsoever! The last donut I got was the Oreo Valentine Heart! It was filled with Oreo cream and it was delightful! Terrible experience this morning. It says they open at 6am. I pulled over at 6:05am to drive through and nobody answered. Then I pulled to the window and nobody came to assist. I went to the front door and they were locked but I saw many employees inside. Drove to drive through again with the same result. At 6:10am I was at the Window and they continue to ignore me. I called the number, they didn't pick up but a lady came to the window and she wasn't happy. I asked her if they were open, she said: we just open! I said: yes, 10 minutes ago. She messed up my order, didn't give me receipt. If you have hours starting 6am it means you are open at 6am not 6:10am. I am so disappointed. Great start to my morning with Kryspy Kream! read more

Strike 3. If you want fresh donuts only go when the red light is on in the window then go inside and get them as they roll off the conveyor belt. The drive up is always a crap shoot. I think they've been told to push the older product and since it's a drive thru People usually don't sit there and look at what they handed them in the closed box. My last 4 orders have been stale and/in 2 cases, incorrect. Friends say the same thing. Like a lot off businesses, kK probably thinks their reputation is enough to satisfy customers, not true. I don't know what happened to this location but they consistently put out old, stale tasting donuts. The only exception of course being the hot light special of the traditional glazed. But if you want anything else, they're hard, cold and a crap shoot as to whether or not they taste like oil. Today put the nail in the proverbial coffin for us on this location. When I go to get a Ghostbuster Stay Puft Man marshmallow donut, I expect two things. 1) It will look like the Stay Puft man that you have on your website and 2) it should be relatively fresh tasting. I got neither. We took one bite and threw it back in the bag and threw them away. It tasted like stale oil. Hard, gross and did NOT resemble anything other than a colorless pumpkin. Look, if I'm paying extra for the friggin' hat, you'd better tilt the dang pumpkin to the side, put on his little blue hat with red sash thingy on the top and hand it over. I have attached a pic comparing what they're advertising on their website vs. what we got when we went there. (Oh and Stay Puft was our only option because they were completely out of the other design. I can only imagine what those looked like.) I feel like such a fatty writing a review for a doughnut place. I'm probably expanding just thinking about it. Anyway, I'd never really cared for Krispy Kreme in the past. Probably because the only other time i'd tasted a doughnut from here....it wasn't too fresh. I met a group of friends here a few weeks ago and boy, was I surprised. I'll put it this way, if I'd known how good the doughnuts really were when I first had them (which was a few years ago)...I'd be big as a boat. I was coaxed into getting a hot fresh one that had just been made and it was glorious! So....then I bought a dozen and took home. The customer service was good. Nothing makes me more hyper than seeing the Krispy Kreme hot and fresh sign lit! (it's lit ha) I seriously feel like a 5 year old in a candy store, but I'm actually a 24 year old in a donut shop. Drove by the other night and HAD to stop in, since I'm not often in this part of town/near a Krispy Kreme. I didn't grow up near any Krispy Kremes and had only had the donuts out of a box (lame). The day I had a hot and fresh glazed donut CHANGED MY LIFE!!! The fresh donuts are soft, warm, and practically melt in your mouth. AND if you stop in when they're making them you can get a free donut!!! And watch the magic happen. My favorite step I think is when they flip the donut to be fried on the other side. Or the frosting cascade waterfall. Can't decide.. too good. The employees were nice. But I don't understand how they're not beaming in happiness from these magical little donuts but I guess they do this everyday. Count your blessings, you lucky ducks. We also got some (ok fine a dozen) donuts to go so I can keep my happiness train going as long as possible. The donuts actually keep pretty well too. And although I don't think they are as good as 1 second off the line, a few days later the donuts are still really tasty!!! I think there's a krispy kreme app that will tell you when they're making donuts fresh. I can't have it because it would derail my normal life routines probably everyday. read more

I had a coupon for BOGO dozen and even though I was dissapointed the free dozen would only be original glazed I have to thank Krispy Kreme because the were YUMMY!!!!! I had never tried original glazed before, I always go for chocolate, filled, the more the better, but the original have their own taste to them, fried, fluffy, light and oh so good! Food and ambiance was okay. The Service was terrible as I can see in the other comments. I was denied a fresh creme filled donuts, by a kid that felt he had the right to deny me service. He reason was that the donuts I requested was only for customers in the drive-thru. I was friendly and ask for the store number but I got the store manger instead. I explained my experience and he agree that it was not their policy and he couldn't believe I was told this reason. However, the manager gave me the donuts that I paid for (I didn't want any free ones), but he told the kid not to worry about how he treated his customer. I mentioned to him I was going to write about my experience and I wanted to know the kids name, but the manger told me to give him a break because he was in high school. In others words the Mission that Krispy Kreme stated their goal for Assistant Managers is to serve as a role model to team members. They set the tone to create an environment for exceptional customer service! Well he did that by letting this kid know his conduct was okay. So sad how customer service has gone down hill. read more

For the third time in a row, I've had a bad experience at Krispy Kreme Polaris. The donuts are always scrumptious, but the customer service is nonexistent. Like the previous times, I've come in to an empty lobby, and no line, but can't get anyone to acknowledge me--no hello or we'll be with you in a minute--as about a dozen employees actively work to ignore me. Where do I even begin with my disappointment. I went to get my free dozen specialty doughnuts as I saw an advertisement for it. When I arrived, the line was out in the street! I thought to myself "these must be some pretty dang good donuts." So I waited in line, listening to my smooth jazz to calm me down. BUT THEN, tragedy struck. As I am getting closer, I notice someone starts walking towards the mini van, a dozen doughnuts in hand. They simply get in the car and DRIVE AWAY. So they cut me and 20+ cars for NO REASON!!!!!!!!!! At this point the only thing keeping me sane was the though of digging in to a dozen sprinkled, frosted, filled doughnuts. If only I knew what was ahead. I finally reach the place to order, after witnessing many other altercations and cutting in the line behind me. So I tell them I am here for my free donuts (keep in mind the advertisement showed frosted, sprinkle, and filled donuts...) they say okay and I pull forward, my mouth watering at the thought of these specialty donuts. I had already been through so much, it was time to be rewarded for all of my hardships. I get to the window and they hand me the box. But the battle isn't over yet. I have to maneuver my way out of the parking lot, which is full of other customers waiting for their free donuts. If only I could have warned them for what was ahead. I pull over and get ready to feast. But when I open the box .... I'm tearing up just thinking about it .... this is really hard for me to talk about..... they. were. GLAZED. We were recently shopping at Polaris and on the way home noticed the Krispy Keene hot light was on so of course we had to stop. The interior was pretty full so we decided to go to the drive thru to get our hot original glazed donuts. One downside was that the exterior menu is not backlit (or maybe the lights were out) so we couldn't see the menu to order other things since it was already dark outside. The drive thru line went quickly however once we got to the window and paid for the donuts, we got the goods and they were NOT HOT. Honestly they were donuts that had been sitting in the case, they weren't even the slightest bit warm although we had ordered the fresh hot ones. There were still way too many people inside to make it worth going in and switching them out so we drove off slightly disappointed and missing the delicious melt in your mouth goodness of fresh Krispy Kreme's. If I could give a zero star I would. As I walked in the employee's were eating the donuts with no gloves on during the middle of a pandemic. Cross contamination does exist people. I was also given allot of attitude from the staff as well as if it were a party at Krispy Kreme and I was ruining it. I bought the donuts and instantly returned them after taking a deeper thought. I have picked up donuts via the drive-thru a few times over the years and the last time, about a month ago, I went to get donuts to take advantage of an email special. After I got to the window, the young lady told me the special was for the following week. I knew she was wrong, but I didn't feel like pulling up the email on my phone, so I just left. It was irritating. Anyway, I stopped this morning and went inside because I had my own coffee cup I wanted filled and I had a free donut valentine to redeem. Probably the worst customer service I have experienced in many years. I order online about once per month and pick the donuts on Saturday morning for a group of friends and customers at my business. You no longer can enter the establishment to pick up your order you have to wait in line with the drive thru now so there is that. Today I arrived at 745 on time to pick up got in line behind 2 cars should not be a problem right? When I finally got to the window at 8:03 I was already late to open then was told they didn't have the order filled they were missing a selection I had ordered the night before. I was asked to pull up and wait while they completed the order. I refused and asked for a refund. Again I was told to move forward and someone would be out to process this because there was a line behind me!!!! My order was for 50.98 and I finally just left so I could run my business. Can you believe that the manager actually said to me that my donuts are not that important? No to me they are not but to you and Krispy Kreme they should be! So now I'm telling everyone how poorly this place treats their customers and betting that soon they won't have any customers if they don't figure it out.
