Okay so this was my first time ever going to an actual Krispy Kreme store. My cousin couldn't believe I've never had it before. I was down visiting my dad in Florida and figured, why not? I've always passed them in Penn Station in New York but never bothered to stop. I ordered a glazed donut, a chocolate glazed, and a medium regular coffee. My cousin ordered some donut I can't remember, and a coffee as well. I asked if they could warm them up a bit, since they had been sitting out for i don't know how long. OH MY GOD. Amazing, melt in your mouth experience. I could definitely house at least a dozen solo but I decided not to be too fat that day. I will be back anytime I'm in the south, for sure. THE LIGHT WAS ON. We stopped and was hoping for a free donut with the light on...well, they give away a donut but it was a 1/2 a donut. While my 1/2 was still good. We waited while 4 staff "looked busy" and didn't help us. The one girl came along and my family of 4 standing there and she gave us one donut and walked away. Left my wife and daughter standing there empty handed. So we waited again while staff watched us and finally she came back and gave them a donut and tore it in 1/2 for them. What should be a flagship store for the Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation is just a dirty, down and out store. A definite dough-not shop. My little one and I walked there today while our trusty mode of transportation was being serviced... visions of tasty fried morsels danced around in our heads, prodding us onward through the heat. Imagine my surprise, when the formerly pristine store, looked to be just a former shell of itself. It looked "empty". Merchandise, that used to be for sale, was all gone, although the cubes were still there. The floors and walls were dirty, pieces of paper were taped oddly over the menu board and the general air of the place was one of a slow painful death.... The donut machine itself seemed to be "off" and was churning out badly deformed doughnuts.... Almost as if it too knew that the store was in it's death throes. Krispy Kreme Corp... take notice! This store could be a shining beacon in the doughnut universe, instead of a scary store that looks like it's been torn from the wrong side of town and plopped right next to The Mall of Millenia! read more

I know everyone in the Milenia area is super excited for Monday's grand opening. The Yelpers got a sneak peak this past Thursday... you know, to make sure the conveyor belt was running smoothly and to make sure the doughnuts were perfectly glazed... the things we do for the good people of Orlando! The staff was super friendly and very accommodating, they made sure there was always a doughnut in one hand and a tasty beverage in the other. Wow - coming from sleepy Melbourne, where everything is downsized and half-assed, it was nice to see a full-sized KK in all its glory. Clean, well-appointed front area with a couch and high-back chairs lead to an ample waiting area that was busy in the afternoon. Who gets donuts at 3 PM? Apparently, that's a thing in Orlando. Love the open donut prep area, where you can see the baking in action - i.e. no boogers in your buns. And for you peanut allergic types, we called the corporate office, and KK told us they don't make anything with peanuts. But ask first, just in case things have changed. We stick with glazed just in case. Coffee is pretty good too. This one was very clean and well-maintained, with easy in-and-out parking. Service was quite fast and efficient, and the employees seemed quite happy, which is always a plus. read more

The donuts are just amazing. The service, though? Some folks are nice, and then others completely ignore you and wait on customers behind you in line. I was in line for their reopening so I'll be here once a month for a year to collect my free donuts! This location was great before the grease fire that closed it down; there was a large seating area and best of all the glass window that allows you to see the conveyor belt of donuts dropping into the oil and getting glazed. Those elements remain along with the addition of large LCD monitors with community event pictures on rotation and the menu, and nice couch area, and a cleaner look. The only downside is a one stall restroom for men and woman. During the reopening they closed the restrooms during the 7 hour stretch even though there were children present, which posed an issue. They didn't even reopen the bathrooms when the they arrived in the morning to start the event, I saw a mom and her little girl get turned away as she bounced around having to hold it until the event start...that was kinda sad--not a review of the store itself but the Krispy Kreme folks who organized the event and could have coordinated that a little better. Besides that the donuts here are as great as I remember and this location is much better than the Winter Park location. read more

Worse customer service ever - Avoid this Krispy Kreme at all cost, go to 7-11 and get a doughnut from the shelf. I was living Lakeland, Fl to go home and my wife and I decided to get a half dozen of hot, sugery goodness called Krispy Kreme. We got the 6 pack and two Cafe Mochos. The doughnuts were wonderful, but the coffee was shit, so when we got in to Orlando we stopped at the first Krispy Kreme, near Millenia mall. The person behind the counter greeted me with "What you want?" I explain that the coffee I got in Lakeland was not good and I want a replacement. She said " This ain't Lakeland, and we don't that". She said there was no manager and on duty and she would not do anything for me. I ended up throwing the full coffees in the trash, I call the customer service number with no return call, and the girls at this Krispy Kreme are totally rude and they can not speak non street trash. read more

This location is my fave...full sized shop where you can come in and watch the donuts get made and ride along the belt. They have a lot of variety donuts and offer coffee as well. Im not the biggest fan of their coffee but i dont go there for that!! ....show me the donuts! I'm a big fan of Krispy Kreme especially when they are purchased hot. The fresh hot donuts and graze are so soft and moist they seem to melt in your mouth. Not this time. When we arrived this night there was long lines inside and at the drive thru. Also the HOT-DONUT sign was not lit, after waiting a while the light came on. Unfortunately, the donuts were not hot as usual and definitely didn't melt in my mouth. Besides the donuts not being hot there was something wrong with the graze recipe, it was very thick and crumbled all over. What a mess and not very appealing. So it's been a minute since I first wrote this review (9 or so years, lol). I wrote this when the only donut shops I'd been in were Krispy Kreme and Dunkin'. Now that's I've been around a bit I'm back to update. As far as chains go Krispy Kremes are still very good and it's tough to beat a hot donut right off the presses. However, they just can't compete with some of the amazing donuts out there from specialty shops like Donut King. So, since I'm now a donut snob I'm downgrading KK to 3/5 stars. Their light, perfectly cooked, airy and the glaze oh my gosh! Delist! The original is my all time favorite but my second favorite is the chocolate glazed doughnut. I'm so glad this location has reopened! The newly designed interior is one of the most inviting that I've seen at a Krispy Kreme. The soft, moist and warm deliciousness of glazed donuts when the Hot Light is on was sorely missed. On my most recent visit I learned that Krispy Kreme offers a tremendous discount for teachers. I was able to get one-dozen donuts for just $3.50 when I showed my school I,D.! $3.50?! Oh, my students will be fat as all outdoors with all the donuts I'm going to reward them with now! read more
