Honestly one of my favorite donut shops in the area. I was craving some donuts and remembered this location has a good assortment. I ordered a dozen donut holes of various flavors. They were spongy and just perfect for my craving. The cashier was awesome. Love this place.

Some of the fluffiest classic donuts I've had! Service is quick, bring cash to avoid the credit card fee! Ambiance is that perfect little donut shop feel with a few countertop barstool chairs to sit and hangout for a little. One of my new go-to donut places now!

Mixed box o donuts here during my visit. My favorite was the maple crueller - the glaze was delicious, though it could have been a bit airier in texture for my preference. The sesame donut was denser and a bit oilier than I prefer. The red velvet donut was not memorable unfortunately, as it tasted bland.

This is a childhood favorite of mine, and I'm so glad I stopped by again. The service was quick, and employees were so kind! My favorites are the apple fritter and bavarian cream - their raised dough is soft and pillowy, and the apple fritter always has that perfect crunch. The sweetest way to start my day!

Small mom and pop style donut shop with all the classic offerings. Service was quick and the prices were reasonable. While they may not look special, Sesame Donuts does classic donuts extremely well. The donuts were soft and fluffy. And the icing amount and flavor were both perfect. Nothing was dry or overly soggy. Definitely come check them out if you're looking for a good old classic donut!

The fact that this small mom-and-pop shop stays in business despite being situated in the same plaza as a mega donut chain speaks volumes about its quality and price point. We dropped in after a late-ish dinner, and were impressed that 1) it was still open, and 2) there was still plenty of selection available. Service was fast, as one would expect.

Good donuts overall, but not quite my favorite. I love a really good old fashioned glazed donut, and this one just didn't quite hit the mark for me. Still worth trying if you're in the area, but I've definitely had better.

This place is great. Nestled in a small lot next to other delicious restaurants. Sorry, not you Subway. The donuts and croissants are always fresh here. The croissants are huge and they will heat them up for you if you ask. My favorite is the ham, cheese, jalapeño croissants. The donut holes are fluffy and light and come in various flavors. I always enjoy a good maple bar or old fashion. Maple bar has a great maple glaze that is also fresh. The old fashioned I get is a dense cake texture just how I like it. Counter service is fast and easy to order. The simple coffee selection hits just right. There are also a few seats to sit and enjoy your sweat treat. Parking is plenty and free.

So fluffy! My favorite is the sugar one because of the fluffiness. The seasonal pumpkin one is a delicious cake donut that is still pretty fluffy and enjoyable. Fast and friendly service, reasonable prices, convenient hours. An easy pass-by before work. Coworkers happy :)

Came here because I saw all the high scores here in Yelp for this donut shop. When I arrived, I was happy that they had a lot of selection even in the afternoon. I decided to order two donuts to try. I got a maple bar which was average and I got a sesame, glazed doughnut , which I could not finish. The glazed donut had heavy glaze on it and wasn't cooked very well as it had oil seeping into the interior part of the donut and then the donut crumb was very dry. I doubt this was a fresh donut. I took a picture of the donut after I had a few bites. I decided to throw away over half of this donut. Cost in cash was $3.78. I paid in cash - ten dollar bill and the exact amount of change was listed on the screen: $6.22 cents. The lady handed me 6 dollars and some change. As I left the store, I looked in my hand and found she inexplicably gave me four pennies and a nickel for change which is 9 cents resulting in a 13 cents overcharge. How strange. If you come here and pay cash make sure you get the correct change.

I came in here after a work dinner and drinks at the pub next door. I was wanting some dessert. I ended getting 12 little chocolate glazed donut holes. Let me tell you when I devoured half of the bag on the drive to my hotel and the other half laying in bed I was in heaven. They reminded me of TimBits from Tim Hortons in Canada. They were so yummy and the service was great. I loved that they were open late and actually had variety to choose from.

The donut shop surviving being right next to a mega chain donut shop. Any OG resident living in the area would point you to this place if you are looking for some donuts. We picked and chose from their wide variety of donuts and they did not disappoint. We went around 10am on a Saturday and the donuts were still soft and sweet, not dry or oily. They have a wide variety to choose from so there will be something to satisfy you. The staff were friendly and the two worked fast. It is a small shop but big enough for a quick pickup and go.

This is a throwback little donut shop, the interior looks like it's from 50 years ago. There's even a fairly large counter inside to dine in. The donuts are old-fashioned high-quality. I have only gotten apple fritters here and they are really good, nice and crisp outside with lots of juicy apple bits inside. But all the donuts look good and I look forward to trying more of them.

Comic con for the win!!!!…read more This place goes all out every year with the Comic-Con donuts. Every year they bring their unique donuts into the heart of Comic-Con with their pop-ups. I usually never have luck grabbing one at their donuts at the pop-ups, but it's good to know that they offer their pop-up comic con donuts at their main shop by Little Italy. Drove down Sunday morning to grab my hand on this year's batch. With Stitch, Batman, and Pokémon, this year's donuts were amazing. The donuts are $8, and you're basically paying for the design. They are pretty, but they don't hold much flavor other than looks; it's just a basic donut that looks really good. But I remember them tasting different from all angles, but I guess this year was different. Regardless, the donuts were really good and well worth the trip. Paid it with chocolate milk or coffee and wow just wow. I Can't wait for next year.

What has become of donut bar?…read more Donut Bar was never my first choice for donuts but with their old location being across the street from the Marriott I usually stay at while visiting San Diego, it was never a bad choice. Last week while in town for San Diego Comic Con, we decided to stop by and boy were we disappointed. The "themed" donuts are just lazy. They used to have different fillings and flavors and now? You only get different color frosting for the designs. The workers confirmed they were all the same donut flavor without any special features aside from their appearances. We tried the maple bacon, creme brulee, and vanilla glaze. The bacon was chewy and gross on the maple bacon bar. The creme brulee sugar topping was soft and chewy. The filling was just way too sweet and liquidy. The vanilla glaze was basic. Across the board, all the donuts were dry. The design and layout are just so boring now. It used to be a cool and fun, cozy place to visit with so many more donut flavors and even savory options. Now it's just not worth it.

This location is inside Bober Tea and Coffee. There is a glass casing with several flavors to choose from and they sell at $3 a piece. The one that stood out to me was the chocolate with sprinkles. Upon receiving it in a paper pocket bag, the icing was rubbing off on the bag. That immediately told me this is super fresh! I could already feel the softness of the donut. The little sectioned off ball looking segments of the donut are also a game changer when it comes to eating - easier to eat without making a mess! The texture was bouncy, soft, lightly chewy and a little stretchy... the texture was fun and I found myself wanting another afterwards. I do wish they had offer other flavors that don't sounds too sweet because the other flavors didn't really catch me. Until the next review...
