This is the first location I've ever tried Krispy Krunchy Chicken and easily the best. The chicken is always hot and juicy!! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming! If you're looking for a feast, their family pack is absolutely delicious!!! The way this location makes the food- you can tell it was made with love. I won't go anywhere else! Staff member was nice. Food is decently priced compared to other fried chicken options. I got a four piece and the chicken tasted good but was just a little oily so lost its crunch quickly. The mashed potatoes and gravy was not bad, considering the fact I saw the staff member put this in the microwave along with the mac & cheese. I don't know anything about running a restaurant, but if I was going to be microwaving food, at least don't let the customer see it. The mac & cheese was watery like soup. I had to add cheese and reduce it on the stove. Overall not bad, I would probably give it another try. Definitely they should look into refining the Mac n cheese or maybe it was a bad batch. The environment itself feels very hole-in-the-wall. No matter, I was on a timed mission to get in, chicken up, and get home to some empty stomachs. I went with the 8-piece dark meat chicken only. It's not like, the best fried chicken I've ever had, but I'd rate it above its competitors: KFC and Popeyes. It has just the right amount of breading that makes it krispy krunchy as its namesake. Delicious and lives up to its name of being crispy and crunchy. The batter is so pleasingly crunchy while the chicken is moist, juicy, and tender. The seasonings were just right with a hint of heat. The chicken stayed piping hot and was still crunchy when I got home, the condensation did not get it soggy at all. This is a fast food chain fried chicken place where the chicken is amazingly delicious, juicy and crispy. The service was very friendly and efficient. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's a very small place that's hard to do social distancing in during the era of Covid. There's also not a lot of air circulation in there plus people were handling the grungy doorknob with their bare hands. I'm glad I had a paper towel with me that I used as a barrier over the germy door knob so I wouldn't have to touch it. I was craving fried chicken on Christmas Day and this was the only fast food fried chicken place open. Normally my go to is PopEye's, but it was closed and I had heard good things about Krispy Krunchy Chicken. Decided to get a 16pc mixed piece along with potato wedges and chicken strips. The chicken was well seasoned, extra crispy, and super moist. Every bite so good. Even after an hour the chicken was still crispy. Needless to say 4 hours later there was nothing left. I thought I had discovered a new chicken to-go spot on a back road. I mentioned it to S, and he said there was one in a gas station in Vallejo, he liked the chicken, but thought it was expensive. Nevertheless, he was intrigued that there was a location near us, so, off we went. Most of the locations are in convenience stores, this location is standalone. There is a bench outside but nowhere to sit inside. Much like a convenience store, there is a candy rack and a case for the drinks. The service was indifferent. From what I read I was expecting chicken that was not under a heatlamp. Alas, it was. I don't think it had been there too long, we got a breast and a thigh and they were not dry The chicken was crispy. It might have been twice fried. I could not really tell that it was injected with special Cajun spices. I thought it was bland. We did not have sides. So, I'm not tempted to change too their fast food chicken. I just recently moved to El Sobrante and decided to try this place last night because I didn't feel like cooking (and truth be told, I didn't have much food in the house TO cook). I ordered the Cajun tenders with fries and 2 extra honey butter biscuits. The order was delivered quickly through Uber Eats. Unfortunately, the extra biscuits were missing, but I was able to get refunded easily for those. Sad because the one biscuit I did get was delicious. The chicken was delicious and I got more than the 4 tenders I asked for. I wasn't able to finish, unsurprisingly, so I put the rest in the refrigerator for today's lunch. I just finished it - didn't bother heating it up, I just ate it cold and let me tell you, that chicken was even better cold! It still managed to be crispy too! I only ever get just the chicken so I cannot comment on any of the sides, drinks or meals. My husband even likes to have the chicken cold the next day. My only complaint is they have no posted hours so they close when they run out of chicken...which could be 7:30pm or 9:30pm. This spot in El Sobrante really does look like a "hole n the wall" but they create top notch fried chicken - definitely crispy and crunchy but also tasty. meat is always tender and favorable with the right amount of spices ( for my tastes). There is sometimes a 5-10 minute wait for order but mostly because food is cooked fresh (which a good thing!). We ordered from here through Door Dash over the weekend and ordered the Family Platter "Chicken and Tenders". As pictured, we were under the impression that we would get 12 piece chicken, 6 piece Cajun, biscuits and fries. Great, that will feed our family of four. However, when we received our order, the only thing it contained was the 12 piece chicken and sauce. We went through door dash to see if we can get the issue resolved, I even offered the go pick up the rest of our order since half of it was clearly missing, but the gentleman at door dash said when he spoke to the restaurant, they claimed that the order wasn't missing anything and they put everything included in the order. I am not sure what happened, unless the delivery man took half our order (unlikely, since the bag was tied shut), but maybe they need to fix their menu? I mean if you don't get what is pictured, don't have it on the menu for purchase.
