8 piece dark meat chicken. 4 legs and 4 thighs. 2 thumbs up.
Leo L.

Was craving some fried chicken. Wanted fast, but also something differently from KFC or Popeyes. Krispy Krunchy Chicken fit the bill and hit the spot! The environment itself feels very hole-in-the-wall. No matter, I was on a timed mission to get in, chicken up, and get home to some empty stomachs. I went with the 8-piece dark meat chicken only. It's not like, the best fried chicken I've ever had, but I'd rate it above its competitors: KFC and Popeyes. It has just the right amount of breading that makes it krispy krunchy as its namesake. The meat is juicy and tender. Would definitely recommend takeout here next time there's a fried chicken craving.

Crispy, crunchy and juicy! We ordered the 8-pc dark meat.

Delicious and lives up to its name of being crispy and crunchy. The batter is so pleasingly crunchy while the chicken is moist, juicy, and tender. The seasonings were just right with a hint of heat. The chicken stayed piping hot and was still crunchy when I got home, the condensation did not get it soggy at all. This is a fast food chain fried chicken place where the chicken is amazingly delicious, juicy and crispy. The service was very friendly and efficient. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's a very small place that's hard to do social distancing in during the era of Covid. There's also not a lot of air circulation in there plus people were handling the grungy doorknob with their bare hands. I'm glad I had a paper towel with me that I used as a barrier over the germy door knob so I wouldn't have to touch it. That said, it's not their fault that the square footage of their business is so small. It really is a worthwhile place to get super crispy, crunchy, moist and perfectly seasoned fried chicken! Fun comfort food during Covid!

As of July 7, 2023. Not sure when this happened, but really wanted this for dinner tonight and then I saw the place was burned down.

Chicken tenders are hella good. Today, I go by to grab some for dinner and the place is burned-out. Hope they rebuild and come back to the neighborhood.

I love a good honey biscuit 6/3.89 As far as chicken goes my friend rates it a four out of five. Conveniently located. A parking lot to the left of the building. And the owner is very nice.

Worsts krispy krunchy I've ever been to food is either dry burnt of soggy plus hot sauce packs are sticky and smell like mildew you have to ask for napkins and I just found a nail in my rice smh after chewing on it

4 Chicken Sandwiches with TONS of MAYO and only 1 chicken tender split in half. DONT ORDER

My family was really craving a good chicken sandwich. If that is what you want order from anywhere but here. We got 4 chicken sandwiches, 2 family fries and 10 krispy wings. Wings no complain at all except that is not enough to feed a family of 4. Chicken Sandwiches....horrible...the worst things ever. Tons of MAYO on the sandwich and the chicken is honestly a chicken tender fried and split in half. The family size seasoned fries...is potatoes wedges...the picture clearly showed seasoned fries. My family will never try Krispy Krunchy again not matter what. This is a total waste of $60.00

The name of this nondescript takeout operation is actually its address on Macdonald Avenue. Ironically, the most popular place to eat in this neighborhood is McDonald's. I barely found it because it looks like a vacant storefront with a For Lease sign. A red OPEN sign was the only giveaway. I happened to read that this place offers some excellent Korean-style dishes. I think the menu can be more accurately described as global. It's apparently a mother-and-son business with the kitchen run by a Korean-American chef named Daniel who doesn't share his last name. His mother works the front of the house, and people order beforehand and come in for pick up. There's a community table presumably set up for dining, but the space felt more like a dental waiting area. Through the order window, I could see Daniel way in the back beyond a passthrough. I used their QR code to review the menu and order on the spot. All the entrees appeared enticing including Grilled Short Rib and Fried Pitman Farms Chicken. I chose the $24.50 Market Grain Salad. It was beautifully presented even in a takeout box (Photo 9). There was a mix of arugula, iceberg, romaine, and Treviso radicchio at the base topped with visual jewels: Fuji apple, Sonia Rojas cara cara orange, blood orange, mandarin orange, muscat grapes, and avocado. Further toppings included spring onion., tarragon, sunflower seeds, English cucumber, heirloom carrots, and French breakfast radish. Farro, red quinoa, and French feta cheese added more layers of flavor and texture. Harissa grilled Pitman Farms chicken provided a succulent serving of protein, and a unique sesame soy lemon chili dressing finished off a masterful creation. It was an impeccable salad. The $11 Skin On Gaufrette Fries were cross-cut and impossibly tender with a tasty dipping sauce (Photo 6). A genuine winner! FOOD - 5 stars...honestly one of the best entree salads assembled plus light waffle fries that delight AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...not meant for dining but the space serves its purpose SERVICE - 4.5 stars...very conscientious, just took a half-hour for my order TOTAL - 5 stars...this is a hidden gem in Richmond..it's an eight-minute walk from BART if that works better for you RELATED - Exploring Richmond? The service is slow. The drinking cups are old battered plastic blue cups (they use to be glass) and they bring them to a table of 4 stacked instead of placing them to each person. No drinks were refilled. The food.. The Pancake was real good! Everything else was blah. The server said "they can't season the food much due to a large all the old people that live in Pinole." If you can't season then you shouldn't serve Cajun food. My pregnant wife ordered Pork Chop and Eggs which she had to send back and luckily they removed it from our bill, it was so plain and under seasoned. All our food was really underwhelming. My parents said the grits were really good there but this time they tasted almost as bland as water. Their is reason to believe this place has switched ownership and it trying to save money. There use to be a line out the door and we came at 11:30am on a Sunday and there was only 5 tables occupied... I wanted to give two stars for the pancake and waitress trying to save the day but there were too many negatives
