Okay, Rockin' Crawfish! I recently heard they were under new ownership, and I'll admit I was a little skeptical. But I decided to give them a try, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. Our group ordered just about everything on the menu, and honestly, almost every dish was a hit. The only item that fell a little short for me was the fish sauce wings--I think those could use some improvement. Other than that, everything was flavorful and well-prepared. The service was also incredibly pleasant. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely sweet. While we did have to ask for a few things multiple times because they were initially forgotten, they were always quick to help and eager to make things right. My only real complaint besides the wings is the pricing on some add-ons. Charging $8 for six small pieces of sausage feels excessive and is hard to justify, especially when compared to the portion sizes of everything else. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience. Good food, great service, and a noticeable improvement under the new ownership. Despite a couple of minor complaints, I'll definitely be back. read more

So I know my way around this dish. I ordered to-go 1lb of clams and 1lb of shrimp head-on, mild level, and rockin combo flavor, and an appetizer of Calamari. When I got home, I saw that they didn't give me salt/pepper and lemon, so that was very disappointing already. The food was okay, I didn't really taste the garlic, and towards the end, I could only taste pepper-ish seafood. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. Came here on a Thursday evening for happy hour. They have a great happy hour selection from cheap drinks to cheap appetizers! Not a lot of deals on their seafood selection for happy hour.. Maybe they can incorporate that in the future. Staff is great! They are nice young people who make sure you are comfortable and cater to your needs! The food, different story. A few of us ordered pounds of shrimp and none of them tasted fresh. They didn't have any sort of crispy or crunch to them with freshly cooked shrimp. These ones tasted extremely mushy and honestly old. We were disappointed, since we heard there was new renovations and new management, but same disappointments from the past. went here a few years ago and ive always been meaning to go back... we did yesterday and it looked different, the waiter told us we could pick our seats and waited for our menus. he gave the table furthest from us their menus, then proceeded to sit down to go on his phone. The dish was so hot we could barely touch the shrimp, corn or potato. The garlic noodles were so GOOD!! I would love the sauce to have measured up to the noodles. Eek. First thing to note if this makes a difference for any of you: they charge 15% gratuity for dining in. The staff were friendly and checked in on us quite often. Gloves were provided while bibs were given upon request. Like other reviews have mentioned, they are pricey and the combo options honestly sucks. Only 1 of the combos included crawfish and only at 1/2 lb. Many of the combos included half pounds of each item. i ordered Rockin Combo flavor at medium spicy on 2 lbs live/fresh crawfish ($20/lb as of last week vs $17 for frozen), 1 lb head on shrimp, 1 order of potato (came with 2 potatoes), 1 corn, 6 pc sausages. ~$80 after tax and tips. The sauce had cajun flavoring and not too spicy at medium spicy (I usually get mild or medium), but not garlicky at all despite that minced garlic was in the mix. I can forgive the lack of freshness in crawfish if the sauce is good but unfortunately it was hard to find many positives with the black bellied crawfish and disappointing sauce. I was in a seafood mood and this totally satisfied that craving! We got both a shrimp and mussel boil and I was pretty impressed. The mussels were really meaty and the spicy sauce gave it a good kick. I really liked the sides. The Cajun fries and garlic noodles were really yummy. Some places can make garlic noodles super buttery and oily but this sat pretty well with my stomach. Service was good and food came rolling out on time. I ordered two pounds of live crawfish, one pound of headless shell on shrimp and one pound of snow crab and a diet pepsi. There was a sign on the table that said "a gratuity of 18% will automatically be added to all dine in orders." The waiter brought the diet pepsi, and when the food came, it was all overcooked. The crawfish were definitely overcooked and had been sitting for a while. The shrimp were rubbery and the crab legs, which were $50 alone were on the bottom so by the time I got to them, they were soft. Properly cooked snow crab should snap, so you can pull the meat right out. The food was palatable - fresh enough, so not a one star review. But if it hadn't been overcooked, it would have been three stars. The quality of the seafood was lacking - the shrimp, at $20 a pound were very small, the crawfish at $20 a pound were of all different sizes so I have my doubts they were live cooked. The Crab legs would have been acceptable if they hadn't been overcooked so badly. But the real kicker was, for that 18% gratuity, no one checked in on me and no one offered me a refill on my drink - you know, spicy food! I flagged the waiter down and he took my glass and didn't come back. I had to go up to the counter to ask for my refill. I like to tip people when they earn it - but this place feels entitled to an 18 percent tip but can't even get me a refill. We did notice that now they cut everything down to half pounds in the combos instead of pounds and it's more expensive. So less food but more money. That's why three stars for this review.
