Walked over here on Monday while my car was being serviced at Nissan. My first time at this location and it was honestly solid. I ordered a chicken fried chicken breakfast and a coffee. It's pretty much chicken friend steak with an actual chicken filet. I had it first at the Long Beach Cherry & Del Amo location, and it is sooo good! I meant to ask for the gravy on the side, but it had a good amount without drowning in it. My over-medium eggs were good, a little more runny when I prefer a jammy texture, but it was all good. I asked for pico de gallo for my hashbrowns. The salsa tasted okay, but it did not look the freshest. My server, Maria was very friendly. She kept the coffee coming and didn't mind me hanging around to read while I waited for the dealership to call me back. Restaurant is right in the middle of an industrial area. Plenty of parking. Clean dining area and bathrooms. I would go back if I was in the area. I recently started working in the area and have been exploring with new restaurants to grab lunch at. As I've already tried a handful of places nearby, I discovered this Spires a half mile away and placed an online order (they give you a 15% discount for 1st timers). My order confirmation stated that it would be ready within 15 min so I stopped for my drink at a convenience store (cheaper) & when I arrived my order was ready and waiting! I ordered (for takeout) a CA chicken sandwich (avocado, bacon, mayo, lettuce, tomato) with a side of fries (they give you plenty of side choices). Boy, was this sandwich HUGE (you also get a good amount of fries). I completely forgot to take a photo before diggin' in but also it was so big that it wouldn't stay together and fell apart lol. Prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes, parking is plentiful; however, the only thing I did not care for was the congestion of the intersection and entering/exiting the parking lot (so be careful). Oh, one more thing to mention: the server asked for my email confirmation and I had issues trying to retrieve it from my email so he asked me what I had ordered & poof: the email popped up. My husband and I had not visited Spires in over a decade, but now that we live in the area again, we decided to have breakfast yesterday morning. We were very satisfied with how clean the place is and how we immediately were acknowledged by the friendly staff. Our waiter, an older gentleman who reminded of Santa Claus, because of his white beard, attended us very quickly and brought us two coffees, which were hot and delicious and he took the time to ask us what type of creamer/sweetener we would like to have. We were also able to order quickly and the food didn't take long to get to our table. The food was hot and very delicious. I even asked for some grilled peppers and they quickly brought them to the table. Overall service was fast, we didn't see any of the employees on their phones and everyone from beginning to end was friendly, helpful and professional. Haven't been back to this place since before Covid... so I was looking forward to eating here again since it was my parent's favorite place to dine. Hubby and I chose to eat here for breakfast. Upon arrival it looked busy but there were still open spots so we were greeted and given a booth to sit in. The restaurant looks like a truck stop eatery. You probably won't expect much from a place that looks outdated but as you enter you'll find that it's not for truckers but you'll find groups of families dining and enjoying their meal because the service is great and the servers are friendly. The waitress was nice and served us our drinks in a timely manner. Once we ordered our meal it was ready in a matter of minutes. I don't think we waited that long. Food was on point. I ordered the biscuit and gravy with sausage & bacon and a side of hash browns. Hubby ordered the chili cheese fries omelette with a side of country potatoes and toast. The prices are descent and affordable considering inflation. We will definitely return and maybe make it a regular spot for us. read more

This place has really great food and friendly professional staff. They have great KETO options. They have two different types of vegetables, I always get the steam broccoli and the steamed Zucchini and a side of Avocado with what ever meal I ordered and you can have either a bowl of soup or a salad and garlic bread or dinner roll , also I get an unsweetened iced tea. I have tried the Salmon dinner that was really tasty and I also had the chili sized, but without the bun and I also had the Shrimp skewers and you get two of those and those are made with garlic butter, very tasty. I also got the chili cheese omelette, very good and instead of potatoes I got the broccoli and a side of avocado. This place is a simple dated restaurant. The food is classic American; like a burger and fries with a cold Dr Pepper. They have booths next to the windows and ample parking outside. Went here after a visit to the Honda and Toyota dealerships down the street (I've always despised the automotive purchasing process; coming from someone who was in the business for a year is telling). I had the patty melt, Dad had the pastrami. This is the case of "well, I should've ordered that.". Their patty melt doesn't come with grilled onions but it does have pickle chips and they give you a few on the side. Waitress came once to check on us, refilled my iced tea and dropped off the check. food was okay , but not at all worth the prices . from what our waitress said , the owner started charging 50 cents PER EGG with meals even if the menu says they come with eggs . when we asked why the menu still says certain options come " with 2 eggs " instead of the eggs are a separate charge , she said this change was just made " a few days ago " . instead of paying the extra 50 cents per egg , we were able to substitute the eggs for any other side at no extra cost but it basically threw off any breakfast combos unless you pay the extra for eggs . i ordered the " top sirloin steak & eggs " without the eggs , so my food was actually sirloin steak with hashbrowns , and onion rings instead of the eggs . i dont understand how they raised the prices of the food altogether and now on top of that charge extra for eggs . my sister ordered the chefs special " french toast served with 2 eggs " and actually got the eggs , and the picture below shows the eggs that we paid the extra dollar for on top of the $15 just for the french toast and sausage . definitely wont be coming back here for this overpriced mid food . read more

On Sunday (10-09-22 ) me and my wife wanted to go Eat lunch so we decided to go to Spires in Wilmington. Boy the food was on point my wife had the San Franciscon sandwich with zucchini sticks . My kids had ( Bacon & Eggs with a hash brown My 2nd son had Sausage and eggs with pancakes & my oldest felt like getting a burger the Bacon Western ) Food was amazing but the service was on point . Drinks foiled before even asking multiple check in's & restaurant was clean . I definitely appreciate a clean restaurant.
