They're talented, just very frustrating to work with. Pricing for long hair was much higher than outlined in the contract, and I couldn't drop the service. So my choices were to either pay triple or pay for a service that wasn't being used. I would give a 0 if I could. Stay away from this company. They are not professional at all. They have no idea what they are doing. They just want your money and that's it. The hairstyle that I wanted I picked it from their website. it wasn't even closed. it looked like a child did my hair instead of a professional. The lady that was doing my hair, kept giving me excuses and you could tell she had no idea what she was doing. She kept spraying my hair every 2 seconds. She must have used the whole bottom of spray on my hair. My hair was so stiff it wouldn't move. I had so much hairspray that I had to wash my hair 4 times to get all the hairspray out. The style was easy, but she had excuses because she didn't know how to do it. I took the photos right from their website and you couldn't do it? DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I originally wasn't going to have professional hair and makeup services, but I am so very glad I did. Two stylists came to my home and took care of six people. They gave suggestions when asked and handled each person with care and followed their requests. It was such a luxurious experience and my friends and family were so pleased with their hair and makeup. Awful customer service. Don't book with them. If bridesmaids decide they can't pay and you try to decrease the services they demand you pay the entire balance. Company is not worth the aggravation. Just find another hair and makeup company. They're threatening to hand my contract over to a lawyer. I was 30 days out from my wedding when I contacted them about decreasing services so it's not like I gave them no notice. As the mother of the groom, most other hair stylists wouldn't even provide me a quote because I wasn't part of a full bridal party hair/makeup booking (Bride had a friend do her hair). I didn't have an issue receiving a quote and booking with Kristy's Artistry. I was assigned Marissa, who ended up doing not just my hair, but my mother's. My mom has very fine, thin, and short hair. Marissa was able to give it some volume and look wonderful! She also advised a different style for my hair as the one I had a picture of is known to fall out over time. The style she recommended and completed for me was beautiful! My niece said I looked like a princess. Absolutely DO NOT use this company!!! 1. They FORCED our bride due to her "contract" to pay for a bridesmaid that signed up for hair & makeup fully believing she'd be at the wedding until Covid and she was TRAPPED IN DUBLIN! She couldn't get to the US! Not that she didn't want too, but legally could not and they made the bride pay for her! 2. We're late arriving, rushed through everyone and for the fact it costs over $200/pp for curls to fall out an hour BEFORE the wedding starts is unacceptable. 3. They waited two weeks after the wedding to cash a check, and unfortunately the day before I decided to have my credit card paid off so it was withdrawn the next morning. The same morning they decided to try and withdraw the check so it fell because my check from work was not deposited until Friday morning. They waited four weeks to contact me to let me know.. and then demanded a LATE fee and processing fee?? No please tell me how is it my fault that you waited so long to contact me? I'm not the one who hired you so I don't have your information to contact. I'm not gonna bother the bride because one. She had her honeymoon a couple weeks after the wedding and number two she's a nurse during Covid. She Has enough going on. They're unprofessional on the phone and we're very rude the night before the wedding, and now. Did I mention they also called me at 8:30 PM on a Monday night demanding the money over the phone? Not only did they want the late fee, but also a processing fee for using an online payment. Your hair won't stay, your charged MANDATORY tip (I always tip but prefer to do what I think is correct based on service. I see now why it's mandatory with them because they don't care how they act attitude wise they're forcing you to tip anyway) and you'll end up with shit service. STAY AWAY. read more

I was on the fence about leaving a review. However, after speaking with Marie, one of their amazing artists, I had a better understanding of a few things. As well, her candidness and the candidness I received from the co-owner speaks volumes about this company. Please note that my concerns were things that all companies probably experience at some point and not regarding quality of service. So, yes, five stars. They are indeed a fantastic group, and you will not be disappointed. They are genuinely talented in so many areas! I used them for my engagement photos. Sam rocked my makeup so much that even the videographer was amazed at how well the makeup looked flawless after having high humidity, hours outside shooting, and that foggy drizzle outside the entire time. Kudos and thank you, Sam! I also had Marie 3 times throughout my wedding. I adore her so much, and you cannot go wrong with her either. Additionally, she will ensure you are flawless before leaving for any event, let alone your wedding day. Every bridesmaid and wedding party member loved her being there. It was as if she was just part of our bridal party hanging out; she helped set a relaxing mood for the morning while she worked nonstop on all of my ladies. Not only that, she has always been punctual, and we never were stretched for time, which is such a stress reliever. Everyone I have encountered at Kristy's is always early and ready to go by their start time. True professionals. Their artists are experienced, well trained, and genuinely have the most outstanding personalities. To hear the makeup artists rave about their jobs and the owners, that also speaks volumes. Yes, the owners are amazing. They work nonstop to ensure their clients receive answers as soon as possible, and I truly appreciate them. Lastly, another characteristic that separates Kristy from others is that they truly listen to their clients. Most people have a hard time matching me because they do not understand you cannot match me by the jawline; they fail every time. I told both Sam and Marie how to do it. Both matched me perfectly in either 1 or 2 attempts, regardless of the type of foundation. That alone says so much about their skills. They rushed us to get all hair and makeup finished to where we were done two hours early, just sitting around. This would be fine except that my hair fell out and was flat for ceremony and reception. If I could give more stars, I would. Kristy was simply amazing. First of all, she saved my wedding: my originally-planned makeup artist had a family emergency the day before my wedding (her mother died) and had to cancel. My decorator (Nikun Events - also HIGHLY recommended) went beyond her job description and pulled her strings to get Kristy - and Kristy was nice enough to use her weekend off to come and help a bride in need. She came right on time (or maybe a few minutes early) to my hotel, ready to work. She was extremely personable and professional, and her makeup and skills are top notch. I basically let her choose the colors and all after seeing my dresses (I had an Indian wedding, so there were two outfits - and two makeup applications - and lots of colors). I told her I wanted bold makeup (goes well with Indian clothes) and she just ran with it. I could tell that she had had a range of experience, dealing with all sorts of styles and clients because everything she did was spot on, and I looked fantastic. Kristy uses a variety of makeup brands (including MAC, but also including some that we normal makeup consumers wouldn't ordinarily know). She also airbrushes. This was actually my first time having airbrush make up done, and I am a convert. The pictures looked just wonderful. I got so many compliments on my makeup that night from guests and from people who have seen the pictures since. In short, I would not hesitate to recommend Kristy to anyone for any event - especially for weddings. I'll definitely be calling her if I need my makeup done again in Orlando. read more

I am beyond happy with the service my 17 year old daughter received from Marj yesterday! Marj was very friendly and made us both feel very relaxed. She took her time and asked lots of questions about what my daughter liked while offering suggestions of what she thought would look nice. The hair and makeup was absolutely beautiful and lasted all night! She did a beautiful low bun that when the bobby pins where pulled out turned into a whole new style of soft curls - I couldn't believe it! I admit, I was skeptical that it would hold all day but it was PERFECT. Two styles in one! The makeup was equally as wonderful and looked just as amazing at night (even the lipstick!) as it did when we left the salon around noon. Having the most beautiful wedding I could imagine, I thought I should share my experience with other brides to help them along the way. In short: STAY AWAY from Kristy's Artistry. We were planning a destination wedding in Orlando and I was not familiar with the area very well, so I got introduced to Kristy's Artistry by my wedding planner. Every request I have had from them through emails were followed by minimal empathy and arrogant answer.....the answer was No , no matter what the request was to the point that my bridal crew got nervous how their team is going to behave on the big day! In my last email -- the only change I had to my services- I was requesting to add 2 makeup service and remove 1 hair service (which means I was gonna end up adding 1 more service). Their admin did not even read my email. She replied back saying: "Thanks for the email. Unfortunately, you are past the 60 days prior to the wedding date to decrease your contracted service numbers. Please let us know if you'll have someone else step in to have those services for the day or if you'll just be paying for them so we can adjust our services accordingly." This was followed by few back and forth email and finally a rude email from Kristy that you are no one to speak to my admin like that!! At that point, I was done. Luckily, I was able to reserve one of the best makeup artists in the area by paying a little extra with the help of my wedding planner. read more

I kept reminding myself the wedding is for our family but I really don't want to see the wedding photos now that it's over. Just my experience. I love Kristy. She personally handled my consultation and my wedding hair and makeup. She made me feel at ease while getting my hair and makeup done (because I never do my hair and makeup that much). She made me look flawless and beautiful. LOVE LOVE LOVE her. She was so accommodating and met us at our hotel room. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for with certain things. They did my friend's wedding a little while back and I was a little disappointed. The girls were not as friendly as I would have liked and I felt the company nickel and dimed us. They charged "$25 extra long" hair charges for a couple of the girls in addition to their $75 prices which were already on the higher side. Even though it was stated that in the contract, they chose who to charge it to without rhyme or reason. They charged 2 girls with longer hair the regular fee. What really upset me though was that we asked them to touch up one of the girls hair and they charged an extra $35 for 5 minutes of work. Thats excessive. In addition to their high prices, their work was just ok. We all looked pretty but the curls all gave out within a couple hours. The make up was very nice which is why we didn't do 1 star- they got the extra star for nice makeup but hair/service and excessive charges made it not the best experience. read more
