If I could give a negative star, I would! I went there this evening to buy some protein drinks and breakfast stuff....there was supposed to be a deal for two muscle milk drinks, any variety for $6. The system rang up differently. Took the self scan attendant (who mostly just stand around a talk to other staff) a while to come help. Asked where the location was of the product and went there...he came back it was exactly as I told him, with the tag! He still wouldn't adjust it saying "it was for a different type" (BS!) I told him to get the manager and he walked away, came back and said "I can't give you a refund"! Voided the items and left completely pissed off! Never come to this place regardless: people and staff leave half drunk drinks and food in the isles, cluttered, no organization! Never coming to this place again! Antonio, Manager at this location, lied. He said that he had video evidence that an incident happened at this location. But this was a lie. He would not show the video without a police officer there. He flat out lied about the video. He just used the video as a way to easily lie and to get out of situations by knowing he doesn't have to show the video for evidence that he is telling a lie. Then he hung up on us while talking on the phone with us. Horrible customer service. I guess Krogers can only hire liars. Very unprofessional. Bagger Matt needs an attitude check. I don't know what his deal is. I have a huge order and I'm trying to help bag. I place items in the cart and he moves all of my bags hugging and puffing. I didn't place them how he wanted. I say sorry for messing up your order I'm just trying to be helpful. He proceeded to respond that he didn't need any help anyway. Of course as he rolled his eyes and hugged and puffed some more. If he is special needs I completely understand- he may have difficulty expressing himself. Oh my. What can I say. This is classic Kroger. Awful layout, WalMart cast offs cruising the store, security staff out front who don't give a rats about anything because all they're probably paid to do is stand out front, staff who wandering around trying to desperately avoiding eye contact with customers, and mess everywhere. Kroger's latest game is to constantly shift and change their checkouts to 'embrace' new technology. Sadly the one thing they fail to remember is that their staff seemingly have an utter hatred of their job, and that comes across pretty clearly when dealing with us, the customers. I go here only when I absolutely have no other choice. They recently changed from being 24 hours to closing in the wee small hours. This used to be the best Kroger's on the west side of Cincinnati. It's now the worst grocery store on the planet that is not located in an active combat zone. It's filthy, under stocked, and under staffed with people who patently do not give a shit. Endless experimentation with payment systems have left them with a handful of manned checkouts that typically have endless lines, and dozens of soul-sucking self checkouts, half of which are often closed even at peak hours. One of the better Kroger stores on the Westside but still not the greatest. This store is outdated but they have the basics and everything you need. There is tiny starbucks inside that is horribly placed. When we were in there the line was wrapping around into where you get your carts. The layout is also different than other stores and it's also not the cleanest store. But for a quick run in or out, this place will do just fine. read more

Another solid Kroger. I found everything I needed quickly and easily. The store had a predictable layout and good selection of all the items on my list. I was especially grateful for this when it came to the ice cream. lol. There were so many delicious flavors and so many brands. I actually ended up getting a Kroger brand because we didn't need anything fancy for a kids party. I got the Unicorn ice cream and the Chocolate Raspberry. The Unicorn tasted like cake batter and had swirls of icing and chunks of icing covered animal cookies - yum! The chocolate had chocolate chunks and swirls of tangy raspberry - so good!!! I think I need to buy their brand of ice cream more often.... :) read more

It was an okay Kroger. I was going to go somewhere else, but I was in the area, saw the sign, and decided to pop in here to get what I needed. They have everything you would expect to find at Kroger. It looks like they are doing a rehab near the bakery. That may be why the store seemed kind of loud and hectic. I saw an employee running through the store. I don't foresee myself returning to this location. Not really my cup of tea. read more

Decent Kroger. The store is rather large and the layout is slightly different than some Krogers. There is a RedBox movie kiosk outside. The parking lot can be a little crazy so drive carefully and be on the lookout for pedestrians that tend to appear out of nowhere. There is a gas station at this location so save up your Kroger reward points to get fuel discounts. Like most Krogers, you should be able to find everything you could ever possibly need and at a reasonable price. I don't even bother with coupons (usually buy generic/Kroger brand on most items) but I am sure those that coupon clip will save lots of money. read more

I'm absolutely disappointed that this store is not 24/7 any longer. It's unfortunate for those who work different shifts and can't make it on regular hours or have to rush in and out as soon as they get out of work. It's the only store in the area that was open at this time. By the time I get there nothing is stocked and I get sub par customer service because everyone is rushing you out of the door. Okay, so it's a Kroger. You know what you're getting in to when you visit. That said, I was pretty surprised when I discovered this particular store had the most extensive chilled wine section I've ever seen at a Kroger - even bigger than in Hyde Park or Newport. I don't normally make the trek to the West Side, but if I needed to pick up a quick chardonnay while over there, this is probably where I would stop. read more

It has gone downhill quickly in the last 2 years, removed 8+ checkouts with cashiers to put in more U scans, a lot of items that are not Kroger brands are many times out of stock and 2/3 of a section is only Kroger brands. If you don't want the outrageous price of Boars head deli meats your only option is Kroger brand 80% of the time. The pharmacy is awful, there is an issue almost every month with one of our prescriptions that we have getting for years. There is always a line of 3 or 4 people at the Sell your cell phone machine and definitely appear that the phones they are dropping in are not theirs. Many shelves on Wed and Sun are 2/3 empty, even staples like egss, butter, milk, paper towels etc. read more

Customer service is what sets this Kroger apart from its counterparts. From the Starbucks barista in the front to the staff stocking in the aisles, you are greeted with easy smiles. There's a great variety of craft beers and an impressive wine selection. The deli, produce, meat and seafood depts. carry just about anything that recipe may call for. The frozen food section is quite extensive, They even have a decent sized organic food selection. The shelves are always tidy and well-stocked throughout the store. I was doing a vendor audit and service call at this Kroger store. I had briefly been in this store on several other occasions. My focus was on the front part of the store by the checkout lanes. During this time I observed the activity of the customers and the store associates. This is a clean, busy and smooth functioning store with a nice enclosed area of self checkout stations for the customer that wants to get in and out quickly. I interacted with the manager and several of the other employees. I found them to be very friendly and hard working. I saw the employees assisting customers with any problems like locating an item in the store. The gift card displays that I was there to check on were fairly neat and organized even though the main display especially had frequent and constant interaction with customers. Before leaving I went to the produce area to buy some much anticipated blueberries that were and still are on sale. 18 ounces for only $1.99.! I spoke to a very friendly produce associate. My only complaint is the stores layout. It appears less open and accessible with narrow entrance/exits and what I remember to be a Starbucks blocking your transition to the main part of the store. Then there is the produce area which is usually visible from the front part of the store almost hidden in the back left corner of the store. Back at my car I realized that I needed gas and saw the very reasonable price at the Kroger station just across from me. It is clearly visible from Glenway Ave. The pumps are new and easy to use. The screen showed me the three levels of discount available to me with my Kroger Plus points. Apparently now you get at least $.03 per gallon anytime. This is very cool! Despite the weird layout of the store it is a very convenient one to go to on the west side of town. It has a gas station, a great variety of gift cards and the produce is fresh and well stocked. I used to be a very faithful Kroger shopper. the first strike against them was when they stopped carrying everything in their deli except for their own brand and boar's Head meats.I have not shopped in their deli section for well over a year. Since they have started the clicklist online ordering I feel that the store does not cater to the customers that actually come inside anymore. I am constantly trying to get past these gigantic carts down the aisles. Their produce ,many times, is looking less than fresh. If I ever shop on a Sunday, typically the shelves will be empty. Today I went to the store and found that they had no gallons of skim milk left on the shelf. a conscientious retailer would probably have offered to half gallons for the same price but there was no sign offering this so I had to stop at another store on the way home to finish my shopping. the bathroom situation is NUTS! I use to live in Delhi and the Kroger over there had nice bathrooms and they did not smell either! This Kroger could at least keep some disinfectant spray in their restrooms, after all, there's a ton of people using the same small restrooms, no wonder there's always a foul stinch!!! read more

This is my local Kroger, which keeps my staple and emergency/mid-week food needs met. I prefer Findlay and some specialty stores over this for specific items, but I really have nothing negative to say about this as a store for all my other, more general, needs. As a place that attracts people (like a circus?) in the area for their shopping needs, there is a bit more I'd like to say, but it's really irrelevant to my feelings about the store overall, so suffice it to say...this place can get a bit loony and seem like it might be the destination of an 'outing' of sorts, for those not generally allowed in public unsupervised, but that's life, so I deal with it. There are some unsavory characters here at times but the silver lining is that it keeps things interesting, as long as everyone, mostly, keeps to themselves. I largely shop the perimeter of the store since processed crap isn't high on my list of things I like to consume. The store is laid out as I've understood is typical in the industry, with your staples at all four corners so you might be tempted by that can of ravioli (shout out to the SO), Lunchables, potted meat product, or Little Debbie Snacks. I have little problem resisting those items and get my full perimeter walk in nearly every visit (bread/cheese, fruit, dairy, and then pharmacy/check out rounds out the corners). The middle of the store is cosmetics (though some personal care products are also by the pharmacy- this has always seemed odd to me), they also carry whichever holiday is next 'stuff', furniture, and other non-food items. It's easy enough to avoid (though I think they make their margins here so someone is shopping there). Some times when the store is dead I venture down here, usually, however, there are children begging for Nerf guns with their fruit salads so I avoid it. One thing that used to strike me as odd that 4 years later is common place, is that there is a cop routinely posted in the entrance/lobby/cart acquisition area. Among people I know, this has led to some debate about the designation of 'Kro-ghetto'. Personally, I take the west side with a grain of salt (always) and only go where I need to go, realizing that the rest of the city might be better suited for some of my needs (preferences?). Given this as my m.o., I contend that this store is perfectly suited to grocery getting needs, and though at first a bit unnerving, the police person generally looks bored (i.e. they aren't too busy busting 'dangerous' folks). Things here are fine, safe, and fit my bill (a reasonable and close place for buying food). Do I like a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's experience more? I'd be lying if I said no. However, I like that this is where I just go to get things done in regard to my weekly shopping. The aforementioned outlets are great, but there is so much image and expectation to uphold (and added expense to boot). It can be quite unnerving, as in...'oh...you're not buying the ' super organic original cane sucrose free sugar'...that really is the better 'option'' -despite a $2 great price tag. I'm not at a place where I regularly afford that investment, for better or for worse. Kroger is the Cincinnati grocery store for most people. This location is close to my house, largely well taken care of, and reflects my 'hood. While that might not always be as pretty and/or presentable as I'd ideally like, it's real, it's honest, and all I really need. Well done Kroger. read more

So this is not quite as good as the Hyde park Kroger, but for the area it is by far the best one. There is one right down the street next to walmart that cannot even compare. This store is kept pretty clean and has a pretty good selection. I would say that their fresh produce section is just a little small, but that seems to be a kroger trend. It seems to me that their lighting in parts of the store is a little dark, whether on purpose or just because of lights always being out. (Specifically over the Chips/Soda area. I don't need to feel shady to get a bag of chips.) They always seem to sport a quite large season area which is nice, especially if you are needing things like Christmas or Easter Candy. read more

This is a neighborhood grocery store. As such, it is exactly what you expect to find. Nothing more and nothing less. Generally speaking, you can expect pleasant people helping you and a good selection of everything you are looking for. There are a few things that set this store apart: First, they go out of their way to hire people with special needs. They are always more than capable and it is great to see them working, and seeing a corporation working with them. Secondly, their pharmacy is open 24/7. Great store. read more

The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because they tend to get rid of name brands to fill up with Kroger brands more. I buy Kroger brand foods, but I sometimes want a name brand product. When I ask about a product you can't find they say "oh it's discontinued", but you can find that product at family owned Hatting Supermarket. Hatting's carries things Krogers doesn't anymore like Oreo Dippers for example. I just wish they would not get rid of items so easily. Otherwise I love the store. read more
