The deli is decently staffed which helps the lines to move more efficiently. The produce and meats are always fresh, which is why Publix is known for being on the pricier side of things. It's always good to check for weekly specials because it is possible to shop here on a budget. I've always had good interactions with the employees at this location. I like using the self checkout, and whenever I have an issue, someone helps me get it resolved in under 30 seconds.

It's super dark and doesn't present the safest environment after dark. Immediately upon walking into the store there was an odor that smelled like old meat. Though the odor was very present, the store was very clean and organized. As Wayfield is my go to for the "Pick 5" I proceeded to the back to see what the meat selection was like. To my dismay, it was minimal. Now, in all honesty, to the defense of the store; it was a Sunday and it was after 6 pm. Based on how the meat area looked I gather that today must have been a day of meat purchases. Nonetheless, I picked the best of the slim pickings and proceeded to checkout. Self Checkout was closed and there was only one cashier. Though he was very quick and efficient, there was still a wait. Overall, the store wasn't a bad experience. I hope they look into the odor as that isn't an inviting fragrance to walk into.

Only posting to prevent my mistake from happening to you. Ordered a specialty cake one week ahead…read moreof time. The next day, I realized I made a mistake in the wording on the cake so I called and spoke to a bakery associate. She took down the new information stating she would make the changes and take care of it. At pick up, the cake was already boxed. Being Publix, I didn't feel the need to look at it. I was sure it was perfect. Well, the employee encouraged me to at least open the top to make sure it's the right cake. So glad I did! That's when I realized a key component of the cake was missing. Thankfully, there was someone in the bakery who could fix the issue. However, that evening when I completely unboxed the cake for the party, I realized the other issues. 1. The error I made and called in to correct, wasn't. 2. The bottom part of the cake was not all as it was supposed to be. The cake I ordered was multi colored with different piping and details. Mine was just all the same frosting and color. 3. The cake itself had flaws throughout the 2 tiers and 4. The board the cake was sitting on was smeared with chocolate frosting that looked like someone tried to wipe off but then gave up. The cake I ordered was $89.99. I gladly paid that price because of the cute details which made the cake. All of which were left off or poorly executed. I did return to Publix the next day with pictures. The Bakery Manager quickly acknowledged the poor execution of what I ordered and offered a full refund. I didn't feel right about a full refund because we still ate and enjoyed the cake. We agreed to half. So moral of the story....PLEASE take the cake completely out of the box before leaving the bakery. No matter how big of a pain it seems to be. And, I would probably pick up a day sooner than needed to have time to fix any issues.

There was no one in the department, however, a gentleman was walking by and we locked eyes, hence why he didn't have any other choice to help. I asked if he could write a name on the cake. The gentleman proceed to say the Bakery was closed (this was at 2:30 PM on 10/12/25). He said he would put the name, but he wasn't an artist. I said that was fine, nothing special needed. After I wrote the correct spelling down, he went to the rear of the area, where his manager I. believe was putting away boxes or product. I heard her say something because he must have went over and told her I needed a name on a cake. After he walked back, he proceeded to mop an area. He then came over to me asking something and I IMMEDIATELY told him, I will go to another Publix. I then put back everything in my car and headed out the door. I could not believe he DID NOT wash his hands or change his gloves. Before I left to go OUT OF MY WAY to yet another Publix, I went to customer service and spoke with the assistant store manager. I was visibly upset. I told him what happened using expletives because I could not believe what TF happened. He then asked if the staff was able to resolve it for me. I looked at him with pure disdain. OF COURSE NOT!! Your store is disgusting! To even think I would have you touch my cake with hands that was just mopping the floor, No way!! Supposedly, he went to address the situation and I left the store. I ended up driving to the Publix in Peachtree City to get what I needed. The young woman , who was packing bred, immediately stopped and asked me what I needed. I told her a name on the cake and she went right to work. Stick with your first instinct!! I cannot believe the Publix in Tyrone did that. I go to the Tyrone Publix LITERALLY every other day. Frequently I would ask the manager --- when will they open a location in Peachtree City --- plenty of discretionary income down there. They would say --- well it is on the list but our other 5 locations have to consistently get to over $1M a month in revenue before a 6 would be opened. WELL after much conjecture, rumors, and wishful thinking down in Peachtree City and quite frankly the entire Southern Crescent - South OTP - Trader Joes opened in Peachtree City on Oct 27th 2025. The management seemed surprise, but was no surprise to me that OUR Trader Joe's broke all records for opening week sales -- nearly $1M in that first week alone. Many social media debbie downers worried about parking, the crowds, the cost, the this that or the other thing. Today I went to search for items for my Whole 30 elimination diet starting Jan 1. I had a list of items for recipes and just to see what they had for those with dietary restrictions and preferences, and to compare prices to the contenders -Aldi's (TJ's brother - long story - google it), Sprouts, and Kroger. Each Trader Joe manager gets to influence inventory. Interesting the choices Reggie Jones made based on his expectation of demand for items. Here are my observations: First off, smaller than expected, but about as big as Aldi's. Storage in the back probably takes up half of the space of the old Books a Million. Small footprint is sort of a signature thing for Trader Joe's - keeps costs down and demand high. Because of the limited space, there by default is a limited selection of most items. For example, one narrow row of tomatoes with slicer piled in next to romas, other options for fancy smaller tomatoes. And you aren't going to find a lot of staples - several types of oils and vinegars, but literally only 5 different salad dressings - Ranch and rest unique exotic flavors. 2nd - prices are all over the place - some things are a deal, others not so much - I'll wait to get at Kroger. Some just pay the diff of 10c on a lime. All produce is fixed price so not weighed. Romas usually 99c or $1.19 / lb at Kroger a single roma was 29c at TJs. But small (light, not dense) green cabbage was $2.00, not even a pound - most cabbage runs about 59c/lb at other stores. Bag of multicolored radishes was over $2 - if you don't need purple radishes, get those elsewhere. BIG russet potatoes 99c each seemed about right. 3rd Limited Vegan and Vegetarian alternatives (I didn't look for gluten free) Only Vegan meat was the standard square pack of impossible meat. And although they had 1 kind of non-dairy yogurt, no non-dairy sour cream or cream cheese. Non-dairy grated mozzarella, parmesan, and sliced cheddar, but not for feta. Didn't see much in with the products on the aisle. 4th HUGE meat section relative to the ratio of space-to-item category. Loads of select cuts of prime rib, rack of lamb, nice looking fish (all wrapped), pre seasoned chicken in different cuts. MISC: Two buck chuck - Charles Shaw wine is now $4.99 - 5 buck chuck | Due to shipments or limits on space -- NO GREENs. Sure in the back for mixed salad and 4 different types of kale (only one kind of bunch, the rest in bags) but no Mustard Greens, or Collards, or Turnips. I didn't really expect collards or turnips because "too country' for the sophisticated KALE crowd of PTC Shoppers -- did think I'd find Mustard. After all they had FRESH shelled black eyed peas for $5, but no greens... ttch ttch on a NYE not to have greens. Kroger can't keep them in stock and were out of frozen black eye peas yesterday. | They also only had giant jalapenos at only 29c each - but no other peppers like poblano or banana pepper. | No celery, reg cucumber, romaine bunch, bananas (could have missed) and most produce like green beans, brussels, green onions, and zucchini are wrapped in plastic with Styrofoam bottoms or in plastic sealed bags - not a good carbon footprint on that TJ. No problem parking at 9:30 on NYE - A Wednesday, even when I left still parking spots right out side. Fast check out probably because they don't have to weigh stuff. Staff was super friendly - if they didn't know about something like the greens, they quickly went in the back to ask, or if you couldn't find something they would either go get it for your or take you to it. I'll be back --- they are known for their great cheese selection, cool and novel options for 'company food' - apps to serve dinner guests or a special night at home -- check the freezer section. Excellent Sirachi and LOVE the Green Dragon hot sauce they make - only 2.99, probably only gone up 40c since COVID. I'll still go to Kroger for most of my staples (and Primal Kitchen non-dairy cheeses and whole 30 compliant salad dressings) and Sprouts for produce options and vegan/veg options - Aldi's for nuts etc
