The restaurant is clearly a pillar for the community - when you walk in, it's decorated with the correct holiday decorations and there's a karaoke station. Unfortunately, the paper menus were not available and we had to scan a qr code to an online menu that was not compatible for mobile reading. It took a while to read the very extensive menu and landed on three items. The chicken rice was average, the fat on the chicken was a little chewy. The pad Thai was fine. Discovered this spot because my bf and I go to the dessert spot next door. We got the shrimp donut which was fried perfectly. The tom yum was great too and had a good kick to it. I decided to give this place a try for a late dinner after attending a concert. Our server, Pim, took great care of us throughout the evening. The food was good. We sampled their Pad Thai, Tom Kha soup, chicken skin, and crispy pork, and all of it was delicious. The prices are a bit high, though. There's a live band, so don't expect a quiet meal. TLDR; An amazing spot to listen to live Thai soft rock and great assortment of Thai dishes. So far, I have not gone wrong with any of their Thai dishes. Their larb has the perfect amount of spice, acidity, and juiciness that I could have it every day. If I'm feeling for a soup you can't go wrong with their Tom Yum or Tom Kha. Specifically the Tom Yum Super Mama, it already speaks for itself. The Moo Ma Now? Oh don't get me started. So good! I'm usually not the type to scroll through such a vast menu, but this spot makes me want to try everything with every single visit. When it comes to service, the band, servers, managers, etc. are so welcoming. They're native Thai speakers, but the fact that they are so calm, sweet, and attentive makes me feel at home. I love how when they finish attending to all the guests they will groove along with the band. When it comes to their exterior and interior it's a standard bar with plenty of seating. It's a great spot to sober up for sure if you are in the search of that. Outdoor city gives rustic vibes? Idk, it reminds me of sumibi_club and I love that tiktoker. Some of the people who work here are total jerks. Tldr I parked in the plaza to get something from another store. NOBODY notified me that I needed to move my car, no signs, nothing. and this restaurant blocked my car from the back by expanding the seating for their restaurant. They made me leave my car and come back at 3am to be able to get my car out. Long story, I was at another store in the plaza. Someone from this restaurant came to the store and announced that some other car needed to be moved. They did NOT say my car needed to be moved. An hour later I go outside and see they blocked my car from the back with seating for their restaurant. I go to tell a lady at the front of this place that I need to get out and she is SO rude, tells me that they warned me and she accuses me of moving a cone. A total jerk! If someone had told me to move it I easily would have. Awful staff who don't know how to communicate and rude ash pple. I'm never coming here and telling my friends not to come here either. Little spot in Thai Town with solid food & local traffic. Staff were extremely helpful with allergies also, pointing out soybeans/peanuts in sauces and such. Helpful if you come with a Thai speaker, but everyone speaks English. Both indoor & outdoor seating with a bar inside. I think they have a private parking lot but I wasn't sure if it was a valet situation. Spicy chicken larb - This was a mild spicy, with nice crunch on the chicken. Even though I think it was listed under "Appetizers," it comes in a sizable plate and could easily be an entree. It was a nice sharp spicy & sour to start off with. Hainan chicken - Delicious chicken with a chili (?) sauce and savory rice. I thought the chicken was a little underseasoned, but you really have to eat it with the rice. Overall delicious. Would try this or the hainan chicken combo again. Fried tofu - True to its name, just fried tofu blocks. Even with the sauce, it wasn't my favorite. Chicken pad thai - Chicken was a little dry, but dish was still delicious. Noodles had great texture & palm sugar flavor. If I could do half points, this would be a 4.5/5. Some of my friends come and visit Kruang Tedd on the regular and I decided to join them one night. Coming to a Thai restaurant you can already imagine what types of dishes you will be ordering. Well, scrap all that. Those typical dishes are great but Kruang Tedd has more to offer. Although they do serve the Thai staples I feel that the Appetizers, Grill and Chef's special sections in the menu shines. There isn't too many places that serve chicken skin and it is just that delicious. The spareribs are great and the e-saan steak are just a couple items to mention. Literally the worst papaya salad I've ever had. They didn't even pound enough garlic, salt, peanuts, chilies, sugar and shrimp. The string beans and tomatoes were not lightly crushed and the ingredients were not infused in the papaya. The papaya wasn't cut thinly looked more like ribbons. Food and service top notch. Arrived before dinner and before the "valet". Went to my car halfway through dinner and "valet guy" has now arrived and says I need to pay 20$. I laughed and said no thanks. He said it might keep my car from being damaged and aggressively stepped to me saying he could have me towed if he wanted. Late Night Dining: After going to numerous art shows w/my artist friend & 2 of the artists in town from London, who were in a current show, my friend suggested Kruang Tedd for a late night dinner; after 10PM. The scenery felt like we were in a club, as people chattered about. Attentive & Friendly: Customer service was incredible! We were checked on often by several different people, which was a wonderful. Once the food arrived, the on stage performance began. The seemingly shy girl took to the stage & the voice that came from her was quite the surprise. She was incredible. Who knew she could sing like that?! Amazing! Food: We shared each dish. Because of the lighting in the restaurant, the food & drinks had a slight glow as well! The Thai iced tea was refreshing. Tried this place for the first time last night on a friend's recommendation and it was great! They have a bunch of soju cocktails that are fairly cheap and the flavors are all so delicious. Everybody ordered a different cocktail so we could all try each flavor and they were all super refreshing, but I really liked the raspberry/lime/mint cocktail and the plum wine cocktail. Their menu had frozen sangria on it but the server told us it wasn't available so I was a little disappointed because it sounded amazing but everything else was still tasty so it was okay. We ordered a few random foods to share and I was really pleasantly surprised by the food. We got the pork and usually crispy pork is overdone so it's really hard to chew, but theirs is perfectly cooked so it's still super tender on the inside and not hard to chew at all. Everything was seasoned perfectly and the dipping sauces were very acidic and paired nicely with the rich meat. We also got the Hainanese chicken but I didn't get a picture of that. I recommend everything that we tried! The servers were nice too, and brought out everything in a really timely manner. Everything came out within fifteen minutes of ordering so we barely had to wait for anything. The only downside is that the parking lot is really small and cramped so it's kind of hard to get in or out, but valet is $5 so it's not too bad. I'd definitely come back again! I love KT's food. Authentic Thai food. Good and delicious. I literally had to lower KT to 3 stars, on back to back visits with my family, we've waited a very long time for our food to come out. It's been bad. They have dining Al Fresco, a few outdoor tables with umbrellas which is cool. I don't know how we pulled this off, but the grill didn't need to be changed, not even once! I always have a good time here when I come with 10-15 people. We usually grill food outside. The service is good, and they were very attentive. We got beer and soju to drink while we barbecued food on the grill. Some of the most authentic Thai food around! The crab in the crab salad is raw and absolutely delicious! The fried pork was very crispy and, while slightly over cooked in my opinion, was still very tasty. The crispy rice salad (nam sod kao tod) was sour and spicy and crispy and had real nam (fermented shredded pork skin and ground pork), not just ground pork. The chicken skin was very crispy and almost like eating Thai nachos haha. The tom yum soup was a very good balance of sour and spicy. The yen ta fo hotpot was pungent and spicy and sour and umami and was a beautiful blend of flavors. The pork jerky was perfectly cooked with a nice balance of crispy outside with a soft inside and had the perfect sauce to compliment it. It's not the most romantic place but its a great place for 2 people who just wanna eat and have a good time. The wait staff bends over backwards to accommodate and I think thats just precious. Since one of the models was Thai, we asked her to suggest a place with outdoor seating that we could go for dinner. We ended up at Kruang Tedd, which has amazing flavorful dishes like fried fish soup, Hainan fried chicken w Thai style Hainan ginger sauce (it's spicier w more aromatics), curry soup that I forgot to take a picture of, and the awesome shrimp donuts, which are basically a normal Thai fried shrimp cake, but arranged like a donut. What was good: * great flavor * great noodles * nice onions * spice level was good * textures were good * lettuce underneath stayed crisp * nice outdoor seating area with awning * parking What could be improved: * the herbs (was it basil? mint? something else?) were mostly flavorless. There was some soft cooked herbs in the dish and on top some bitter burned and dried out herbs (think what cooking kale in the oven is like). Not sure if this was an accident, but it definitely detracted from the meal and luckily I was able to dig most of that out as it was only on top. * They put in some green chilis peppers that looked like green bell peppers. I ate one and wowza... It didn't have seeds inside, but must have had some remnants. It was fine as I wanted the dish a bit spicier. * they added tomatoes even though it wasn't on the menu (if you care about that) * service was both great and friendly and really slow and distant at the same time... I wasn't offered a menu and asked if I knew what I wanted. It took a long time to get my order, food, and there was only one other table seated. But when it was my turn, everything was pleasant and attentive. This place is a solid 4 stars with huge potential for 5 stars when things go right. Went here late night for a friends bachelorette party on a Wednesday night and place was popping with live music and great food. It was good but a little too loud I couldn't hear the person next to me for a conversation. Maybe need to tinker with the volume and level of insulation for the place. It's in the same parking lot as Jumbo's Clown room, so if you've been curious, I highly recommend it. Although I will say I did go with a Thai friend who did all the ordering so i'm not really exactly sure what the dishes were called but they were fire! I will give some approximate descriptions of some of the dishes that we had that night. We got a pork platter with fried crispy pork, sweet bbq pork ? and it also had fried pork patties ( resembles fish cake) it comes with three different type of dipping sauces. We had a chicken feet soup with I think galangal and kaffir lime, very bright and refreshing soup, plus the chicken feet were super soft and easy to eat (it's high in collagen yo!) . There was an order of beef jerky fried rice which was delicious. We also had a whole pan fried sea bass and that was super tasty. There was sweet braised pork leg this was excellent it's sweet it's unctuous with a delicious sauce you have to eat this spooned over some white rice. We also had a pork and beef hot pot, the soup was super clean, its totally a comfort food, this would be some thing great to eat if you woke up hung over or you were sick. it's a small restaurant and it's kinda staid til after 10pm (we came on a Saturday not sure if they have the band every night) . After 10 pm its like thai restaurant worker industry night. A lot of the local workers get off work from their jobs and come out here to hang. This is also when the live band goes up on stage. IT gets pretty raucous after that. The music is a tad loud, but where else can you hear a Thai band jam on stage (it's a little bass heavy, but the band up there singing issa vibe, makes you feel like you're in Thailand.)
