    Mushroom crispy rice
    Amy W.

First time trying the new weekend brunch menu and it did not disappoint! Made a reservation only a week in advance and there were plenty of times available. All the dishes were excellent. My table ordered two of the bing basket which were more like traditional rolls but just as good as the regular bing. The steak and egg crispy rice was my personal savory favorite. Would definitely reorder that and the crispy potatoes, which are a lighter version compared to the dinner potatoes.

Came here for the first time with my parents for my dad's birthday. It's a restaurant where everything is shareable, and we ordered A LOT. We had leftovers for days after we finished our meal. Bing w/Cultured Butter and Honey + Smoked Eggplant and Pine Nut: This was phenomenal, I really enjoyed this dish. It seems like it's one piece of bread per dip you order, since we only received two pieces. I do wish they provided more bread because the amount of dip they provide with the amount of bread feels a little wasteful, especially for the price. Sugar Snap Peas: Tastes good, but an interesting choice. Usually, they're cooked, even when served as an appetizer, so it was a little off-putting. Bossam: Absolutely delicious. This is more than enough for 3 people. It's very tender and flavorful; it does not disappoint. We loved the option of both butter lettuce and perilla leaves for wraps. Pavlova: Unfortunately, we did not enjoy this dessert option. The way it was described on the dessert menu, we expected a mousse, but it was a merigue instead Parking: It's very difficult to find street parking. There's a parking lot across the street available, and I think it was $15.

I've had Majordomo marked for years, and I honestly don't know why it took me so long to finally make it here. Now I understand why people keep coming back. One of the best meals I've had this year. Everything was a hit -- from the salad to the side dishes, the meat, and dessert. Nothing disappointed. The menu is definitely made for sharing, and every dish felt thoughtful, flavorful, and fun. My favorite was the fried pepper. I think I'll be dreaming about it, and I would come back just for that. We were definitely overloaded with meat, but in the best way. The decor and ambience are very chill -- lively, relaxed, and very LA without feeling pretentious. We came for my mommy friend's birthday, and it was perfect for a moms' night out, but the crowd also had that young, hip energy. It feels like a place that works for all ages. Service was very attentive and knowledgeable without hovering. Parking is right next door by the Electric Theater lot, about $15 with no validation, so carpooling is probably the move. Love it, love it, love it. Definitely coming back.

Personally, I think I expected more from the food for the price it was set at. While the bing was an amazing appetizer (would get that if you are planning to go), the Bo ssam and rib eye kind of fell short from expectations. I felt like I have gotten better steaks and Bo ssams from cheaper restaurants (just taste wise). If I were to go again, I think I would try their other dishes and do a tapa style vibe. I felt like there was a lot of ambient noise and it was difficult to have conversations with my group. Nothing wrong with that, but I think my experience was just different from my expectations. I can't speak much for the seating inside. The service was great! Everyone was really nice so no complaints there.

This hidden gem has a super cute and romantic ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating. Everything was really good but a bit on the smaller side... for the table we ordered: Tuna carpaccio (10/10) ricotta, jam, and chili crunch (not pictured) (7/10), gem salad (10/10) grilled branzino (9/10) and asked for extra capers Dessert: chocolate pot de creme (5/10) Service was good but not great. I'll def be back to try to the Mushroom crispy rice! No parking so we ubered to the spot.

I didn't realize this was a David Chang restaurant until my first bite then everything clicked. The venue was so cool - the open air concept was genuinely comforting. The cocktails were very floral and the small plates were so flavorful. The hanger steak was so flavorful and so tender. The desserts were good, albeit a bit small and plain. Service was nice and well paced. Overall enjoyed the concept.

There was a paid lot ($13), but we parked on the street instead. The restaurant is quite big with indoor and outdoor seating. Before arriving I already planned out what to order. We started with sliced hamachi (4/5). Then we had stuffed peppers (4.5/5), which were crispy and sizeable. Our main was the mushroom crispy rice (5/5). I love the different mushrooms and how the rice was crispy without being burnt. It was a comforting dish. As for sides, we had crispy potatoes (4.5/5) and fried cauliflower (3.5/5). I enjoyed the potatoes as they were soft inside while being crispy on the outside. I also liked the chili and garlic on them. Cauliflower is one of my go tos nowadays. This was probably the weakest dish for me though. Afterwards, I realized all of the vegetables I picked were fried. Oh well. We were quite full in the end and had some leftovers. We could've probably made do with one less dish. Service was good. The waitress was friendly and our water was refilled. She also helped us pack our leftovers. Overall, I enjoyed most of the dishes and had a nice time at this David Chang restaurant.

We arrived with a reservation for Saturday brunch. It was nice and quiet and there was plenty of space inside as well as on their nice patio. We tried the following: Bing Bun Basket with 3 sets of spreads (ricotta, jam & chili, honey butter, citron cream cheese & sesame): The bing bread was soft and warm, kinda like an airy pancake bread. The spreads were delicious. It was so good, we'd definitely get it again. Chicken Wings with sweet & spicy and honey garlic sauce: These crunchy fried drumettes were okay but not standout or worth the price. Steak Ssäm: We enjoyed the unique combination of flavors here with steak, shiso, pickled daikon, jalapeño, lettuce and rice. Choco Pot De Creme: a nice, rich chocolate pudding with whipped cream and crunchy flakes. Yuzu Medicina and Ichigo-Rita: decently strong fruity cocktails which we both enjoyed. Parking: There was an unstaffed, paid parking lot across the street.

The table got quiet for a second after the first few plates landed, which usually tells you everything. I came to Majordomo for dinner with my family and friends, and it ended up being one of those meals where everyone kept reaching back in for another bite. We ordered the tuna carpaccio, bing with butter and honey, stuffed peppers, smoked fish dips, tapioca lo mein, saam, raw marinated prawn, and grilled prawn, and the whole spread felt thoughtful and genuinely satisfying. Nothing felt like filler. Every dish brought something different to the table, and the food was so delicious that it reminded me why this is the kind of place people keep coming back to. What stood out most was how well the meal worked as a group dinner. There was a lot to share, a lot to talk about, and plenty that made you want one more bite before the plate moved away. The tuna carpaccio and prawns were especially memorable, and the bing with butter and honey was one of those simple things that just hits exactly right. The tapioca lo mein, saam, stuffed peppers, and smoked fish dips rounded everything out well, and the meal never lost momentum. Service was excellent from start to finish. Everyone was very friendly, and the staff checked in often without making it feel forced or intrusive. That steady attention made the whole dinner feel easy and welcoming. This was a strong five star visit for me. Majordomo is a great pick for a dinner with friends, especially if you want to order widely and share.

    40 Day Dry Aged Steak

My partner took me here for my birthday dinner. It's a cool modern spot, dimly lit. My waitress was friendly and the sommelier was helpful with helping us decide on a bottle of wine. For the food, we ordered: - mushroom rice - snap peas - ricotta crispy chili jam - 40-day dry-aged steak The chili jam came with a very buttery naan bread. The ricotta was very creamy and silky. Still good, but this was the least of our favorites. The snap peas were very refreshing and citrusy. The mushroom rice is reminiscent of Chinese clay pot rice, where the rice is made crispy. We were nomming on this for the entirety of the night as we were waiting for our steak. The steak took about 30 minutes to come out. Our waitress graciously gave us complimentary sausage-stuffed fried peppers as an apology. This demonstrated really great service. Oh, and the peppers were dank. The steak had finally come out and it did not disappoint. My partner remarked it may have been the best steak she's had in a restaurant. It was a bomb-as-hell steak and I took personal notes for the next steak I'll cook up at home. All in all, it was an excellent dinner. Shout out to the service staff who made us feel seen, despite the late steak. I would come back with a larger group so that I can try out some of the other signature dishes that are meant to be shared.

We came here for Valentine's Day and, honestly, I didn't have very high expectations--but they completely exceeded them. Our server, James, was amazing. So professional and attentive--just an all-around great server. The Valentine's set menu was such a great deal, and everything that came out was delicious. The chicken was slightly on the salty side, but still really good. I especially loved that James suggested pairing some of the other dishes with the caviar--I'm so glad we took his advice because it made everything taste even better. The wine and sparkling sake were also excellent. My poor boyfriend was feeling really sick and couldn't eat much, but even he agreed that everything he tried was really good. The chocolate dessert looked very simple and anticlimactic compared to the other dishes, but the moment I took a bite, I was like WOW. I honestly haven't eaten at a restaurant recently where everything was this consistently good. I will for sure be returning.

    Carolyn D.

Our starters - the carpaccio and sliced hamachi were delicious! The main dish, the boiled chicken tasted like what it sounds and leaves much to be desired. Its portioned for 4 but if you're not ordering many sides like us, 2-3 can finish it easily. The soup that comes with the chicken dish is also quite bland. Service was good but valet was $15 which I think should have been subsidized by the restaurant since there was little options for parking otherwise.

Honestly a little disappointed... First of all, we had a reservation and got there a little early, but they made us wait more than 30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated... Most of the food was mediocre Ordered Bo ssam- pork was dry and the sides were so small and not in proportion to the amount of meat given. Quality of sides were also whatever's Branzino- well cooked but nothing outstanding. But I did appreciate that they deboned it very well Mixed leaf salad- good, would get again if I ever came back Bings - the highlight of the meal and only reason I'd ever come back . Cultured butter and honey and the eggplant were both good. But again, dip to bread ratio is weird. Mushroom crispy rice was okay, a little too sweet Chocolate pot de crème- unique and has a Mayan chocolate taste, spicy! Too spicy in my opinion. Honey pie- okay but not that memorable. On top of the mediocre food and the long wait, I'd say service is very mediocre for the price point. The service staff were not very attentive and minimally polite. I'd expect this type of service at a casual restaurant, but expect a higher caliber of service for this place. The ambiance and decor inside was fine.

Hello! I made a reservation and the only option was "patio." Is this outside? If so, would it be possible to move inside? If maybe, I can call the reservationist. My mom is kinda particular...

The patio of completely covered with heaters. I've say in the patio during the "winter"months and been fine...but I was also drinking liquor. I'm sure they can accommodate of you call prior to your reservation. Enjoy! I absolutely love this place.

Dining room better or chef's counter?

I have not dined at the chefs counter so have no opinion but the dining room was very nice and a great experience.

Can you bring your own bottle of wine , if so what is the corkage fee?

Yes, you can bring in your own bottle of wine. Corkage is $40 per bottle and will go up to $60 after the second bottle or if it is a magnum. Thanks!

Is the prime rib (March 2024 menu) a family style format like the bo ssam and short rib?

It is! Its about 30oz, bone in. Served with horseradish cream, fresh grated horseradish and jus.

Can they accommodate for a gluten allergy?

I only sampled their food as part of a catering order but I'm sure with advanced notice they can accommodate you .

Is there a tasting menu available?

I have never seen a tasting menu. As of last month there was not one available.

HI. RE Boneless Chuck Short Rib Stew with melted raclette! I've been waiting 3 years for you to bring this back after pandemic! Any chance you will have it in June as I would love to dine with you for my birthday or anniversary? PLEASE! :)

Hi Brenda, at the moment the short rib stew is not slated to return, so it will not be on the menu in June. However there is still a possibility for future menu changes. Thanks!

What's the "PDR" seating on resy?

"PDR" is the abbreviation for Private Dining Room. When it is not reserved for a private event, it is open for general seating.

Does the short rib have sugar in it?

Yes, there is some brown sugar in the marinade.

Do they allow to bring in our own bottle of wine?

$40 per bottle for first two, then $60 for each subsequent

What is the "PDR" seating option on Resy?

Hey there! PDR means Private Dining Room, which is an adjacent seating area to our dining room connected by two large barn doors. When we do not have a private event, this part of the restaurant is open for general seating.

Do you have private rooms that can accommodate 6-10?

Hello! Yes, we have a private dining room that can accommodate up to 36 guests. For more information, please email domoevents@momofuku.com. Thank you!

The menu is New American with Chinese influences served as a four-course prix fixe set, with each course having three choices, and optional additions are available. (There is an à la carte menu available in the bar area.) I went very carnivorous on my selections, choosing the beef tongue carpaccio, duck sausage, and beef short rib. There was not a bad dish among these: The tongue was tender, soft, and delicate. The duck sausage was fantastically good as well; served with an apple jam atop Swiss chard, it was a sort of Chinese-Alpine fusion cuisine of which I never envisioned but instantly wanted more. While delicious, the short rib was overshadowed by its cabbage accompaniment. My server told me it takes four days to make that dish, and I would have happily ordered a full dish of just that. The kaffir lime curd dessert was light and balanced, perfect after the heavier meat courses and like a small vacation to Thailand on a plate. The one dish I did not love was the Chongqing fried chicken course I added. The chicken itself ― a boneless leg quarter ― was a large portion and well-prepared, but the sauce covering it was a thick layer of chilis (which, thankfully, were not inedibly hot) and straight oil, lots of oil. Eating so much oil like that made for gastrointestinal discomfort the rest of the night. The soy pickles helped cut the greasiness a bit, but they weren't vinegary enough to get that level of oiliness off the palate. The duck fat rice, though quite good, also did not help much given its fattiness. Given the chance, I definitely would have requested the oil-sauce on the side. I did appreciate the crunchiness of the batter, which never went soggy despite being soaked in that oily puddle for a long time. I did not find any wines by the glass that bowled me over, so I stuck to cocktails, which were good. Service was warm, personable but not intrusive, and brisk, while the room has the comfortable feel of a mid-century modern den complete with well-worn cookbooks on the shelves lining the walls. I would happily return to try the bar menu with cocktails or when the prix fixe options change. At $68 for four courses, Firstborn's prix fixe is one of the best fine dining offers in L.A. right now, and it makes a trek up to Chinatown worthwhile.

In addition to that, a cucumber burrata salad was ordered, and that was made well too. When my venison burger arrived, I took a few bites and it had the exact flavor I was hoping for and I thought the burger was done extremely well. Came to Redbird over the weekend as we were celebrating a birthday. First impressions walking in,…read morethe staff was super friendly and I really liked how the bar was both inside and outside. Highly recommend paying for valet, as street parking is tough to find on the weekends. As for the food let's get into it: - Kombucha-Cured Hamachi (8/10) It's hard to mess up on a crudo, but this was a great start to the meal. - Garganelli (8.5/10) Pasta was cooked perfectly, had a nice kick/spice to it. Could easily eat two bowls of this. - Steak and Frites (8.5/10) Steak was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was delicious. Slightly pricey but I get it. Overall, I'd say it was a great dining experience as the service is the real reason for the 5 stars. Place might be a little pricey, but worth try once at least. Would I go again? Yes!

The drinks can definitely get a little pricy but they are definitely worth it. I think I had 3 cocktails and 2 shots but everything was delicious as well as strong. Its a beautiful interior with an upstairs that I didn't get to check out but overall a very classy, old fashioned place. I would definitely come back here just for the drinks.

FOMA is a highly regarded, experimental cocktail establishment that has earned a reputation for blending science & creativity to craft innovative drinks that challenge the senses. Prepare to be in awe when you enter The Wolves. The elegant décor did not disappoint and the stained glass ceiling is amazing. The private event featured FOMA's top mixologist working alongside some of The Wolve's mixologists. I tried one of FOMA's signature libations - Isla Bonita (Milagro Reposado, Vanilla, Pineapple, Passion Fruit, Lemon, & Milk). In addition to one of The Wolves specialty cocktails - Jamaiquita (Milagro Blanco, Hibiscus, Pineapple, Cinnamon, Basil, & soda). Both drinks were expertly crafted, perfectly balanced, and a delight on the palate. Since it was a party there was live entertainment and delicious food from the kitchen that was served buffet style in the charming loft area. I'm glad I finally got to check this place out and am looking forward to coming back. *Metered street parking or nearby lots.

Walk straight up and you will see a tiny looking house. I saw them on "Worth it". Lady behind the counter was so nice and helpful. I went for the potato salad, $6. This one has apples and cucumber in the mix. Pretty good! Kimchi is just perfectly layered And delicious! $8. It is worth it as you could tell it's homemade and not processed. A cold case offers an array of pre-packed banchan, and hot boxes are ordered at the same register where you pay. May sure you order the Dosirak for rich slices of buttery black cod. You get to try four banchan with it as well. The Mushroom Dupbap is another hot option. The maitakes are fresh and perfectly cooked but could use a little less salt. A side of Smoked Eggs is a must. These are the best thing they make aside from the cod. Not all banchan are made equal, and it seems all the mushrooms are a miss. Mushroom Bokkeum is mostly tofu, and the Jang a Ji has maybe 6 slices of king trumpet mushroom. Love the mix of sweet and spicy from the Fermented Cucumber with Korean Pear, and the Spigarello Namul is umami and mild. I didn't love everything I ate, but I do love coming here. The banchan can be hit or miss, but the cod is fantastic, and it's just so much fun to try it all!
