Do not go! Did not actually change oil and overfilled it by 3 quarts! Had a coupon for a free oil change. They said it wasn't free because I needed synthetic oil and then only took off 25%. I decided to go back to changing my own oil and realized they overfilled it and never changed the oil filter that I paid for. They also spilled oil all over my engine so it stinks when I drive it. I came in for a tire rotation and oil change. Service only took 45 mins. Not bad for having to wait. If you care about aesthetics then this place is not for you. It's a bit dirty and stains all over the table where they have magazines and the floor isn't clean either. The waiting chair had chips in them do who knows how long. My car had a starter issue which was misdionosed twice by Kruegers. I was left stranded multiple times due to the misdiagnosis. No applogy and charged me the full price for parts and labor. I took it back for a 3rd try and they didn't call with an update.I had to call multiple times for them to tell me it wasn't done as stated and they asked to keep it over the weekend. Note this was to replace a starter on a car that they failed on twice before after I suggested the starter is the likely issue. I took it to another shop and it was done in a few hours, and is now fixed. Poor service is the only way to describe Krugers. read more

I had a coupon for free Air Conditioner check. Mine wasn't blowing any cool air. They called and said it was just freon and for $200 they would fix it. I said ok and took it in. 3 hours later they said it was the compressor and it would cost about 1k dollars. I said no and went to pick it up and that free diagnostic ending up costing me $88.57. Don't fall this like I did. No more "free coupons", I'll go to someone I trust. read more

I am looking for a new mechanic because my mechanic I used for 25plus years retired. So I tried Krueger's. I took it in because my parking break light was on. They called me and said the part was 500.00 and I need a caliper. I questioned them about the caliper because I had new brakes installed in Sept. I agreed and $700 dollars later .... I got my car back. However, when I started my cars they had messed with the electronics. My power seats didn't work. I drove it right back and they said I would have to make an appointment because he couldn't figure it out. So, I made an appointment for the following week. They couldn't get it in sooner but they are the ones who broke my seats. When I brought the car back to fix the seats the called me and said that I needed a battery. There was nothing wrong with my battery until they messed with my electronics from the parking brake. They told me it was going to cost $350 for a new battery to be installed. I hung up the phone and proceed to call two mechanics for a quote to install of a new battery. The highest quote was $150. I know they are taking advantage of a female Lincoln owner!!!!!! They gouge you! I believe they overcharged me for my parking break service and they were going to take advantage of me for a battery!!! I wouldn't recommend Krueger. One other thing they were nice enough to let me use a rental car both times. I had two different rental cars for each visit. They were filthy (full of dog hair and dirt) it was disgusting. I don't generally leave reviews but after my most recent experience I feel compelled to. I took my car in for brake pads and rotors in January and they started grinding about 3 months later, so I brought my car in to have it checked out. I also asked them to take a look this other loud sound that my car was making. 1. They told me that the secondary sound I was hearing was a hole in my exhaust and that I needed an entire new exhaust system and quoted me $1435. I had this hole repaired at another auto shop for $240. A $1200 difference! 2. They told me that the grinding in my breaks was rust. Turns out there was rust but generally when you get brakes done, the auto tech cleans that up so that you don't have this problem down the road. It wasn't just rust though, my passenger side rotor is very warped, which is what is causing the majority of the awful noise I have been hearing. I am not even taking the time to ask this to be fixed under warranty. read more

My spouse and I have been getting our trucks taken care of here for about 4 years now. They're honestly the best and very reliable. I've never had any issues with them and they have very fair pricing. I drop my cars off and they're done the same day. We don't live close to the area but we take the drive there whenever we need anything done with our vehicles. I don't trust anyone but Krueger's! I would recommend them a 100%. I wanted to get my heated seat repaired on my 10-year old Toyota since last winter's polar vortex was so brutally cold. This place was recommended by a friend and there was a small coupon. What a mistake! It took days to get the problem diagnosed, a week to wait for the part which normally wouldn't be a problem EXCEPT that they forgot to plug some electronic part back in. So I couldn't unlock my passenger door, the driver's side no longer locked and unlocked using the key fob, and the car alarm went off randomly and could only be turned off using the unlock button on the fob. I took it back they plugged the part in. I thought everything was fixed, until the car alarm continued to go off randomly... in the parking lot of the grocery store, at 2:30 in the morning in my garage! Took it back. Now I'm told the car hood latch is "bad", they think. Spend another $200 plus on a problem that wasn't a problem until they touched it? And they "think" it may fix it.I don't think so! Thr guy at the counter, Mark, had the customer service skills of a gnat. He was so surprised when I wasn't happy about the length of time it took to diagnose, repair, re-diagnose, re-repair, re-diagnosis phases of this ordeal. Then, he was dumbfounded that I didn't want them to order a hood latch to "try" and turn off a random car alarm that had never gone off until they touched it. If they weren't capable of fixing the car seat promptly send professionally they should have told me so. I would have been more than happy to take my money elsewhere. read more

I've been to Krueger's Auto Tech for a few different issues now - oil change, problem with car starting, and car noise issue. Price: I've found Krueger's to be very reasonably priced for all of the work and diagnostics I've had done. I recently had my car in to check an issue that I thought was the battery. They checked the battery and found it to be fine, and didn't charge me for that check. Service: The people who have worked at the counter or taken my calls have always been cordial. I feel like I can trust the technicians there and they're not just trying to sell me repairs I don't need. A few of the times I've been in there, they've sent me away with a report of "things are okay" and haven't tried to tell me that there's something wrong that wasn't there. read more

We took my VW Tiguan over. They told us it was a small $57 part, but it was going to cost us 6 hours of labor to fix the part because they needed to remove the transmission. We told them to just do it. When we picked the car up the told me it was still leaking oil, they still charged us $1,000.00 for the work, and advised we take it to a dealership. The dealership tells us, Krueger's needed a special tool to do this job, and they did not use this special tool, breaking the new part we purchased. Upon trying to just use their own tools they cracked our wheel axle, I called and asked Krueger's to pay us for their mistake they claimed " you cant prove we cracked the axle ". Also, they never did an oil change after removing the transmission. Another $1,500.00 later the dealership had our car running again. Krueger's told us they would refund our credit card, and they never did. read more

Brakes failed in the Cedarburg area. Made the most sense to fix it locally considering towing costs back to Milwaukee. The tech called & said a rusty brake line had a hole in it & suggested they replace all of them. No problem. if 1 is rusted they all are. Got the car back & it drove fine. But, upon inspection I noticed they substituted a large section of metal brake line with a rubber hose. They also took another major short cut by running the rubber hose below the unibody supports. The hose is now susceptible to catching on road debris passing under the vehicle. The factory installs the brake lines in a recessed area of the unibody. Krueger's should have done the same! read more

Today I made the regrettable mistake of choosing Krueger's Auto Tech for repairs on my car. The night before my misfortune, my engine shut off while I was on my way home so I pulled off to the side of the road. I put the car in park, turned the ignition, and the car started fine. However, it makes a creaking sound while turning and the steering is hard. So I brought it into the closest auto shop around. Unfortunately for me that happened to be Krueger's. I brought my car in around 9:30 am. The guy at the counter was quite rude and frankly pretty weird. He wouldn't look me in the eyes when talking to me and had a stuck up, childish tone with me. He told me it would be a while before they could start so I left my keys and walked home. By the time they had finished it was 5:00 pm and they had done nothing to fix the problem. They flushed my steering fluid, which did no help, and charged me $60. I expect more from a mechanic. These "professionals" whom I am paying to do a job, couldn't even tell me what the problem was with the car, let alone fix it. So in summation, Krueger's left me without a car for over 7 hours, did nothing, told me nothing, and took $60 straight from my pocket. If you care about your car and are looking for a mechanic with some decency look other than Krueger's Auto Tech. read more

Brought my car in for a check engine light on. Was diagnosed as a leak in gas tank. What? It happened to be a faulty EGR valve. Ok but they wouldn't let me get check engine light fixed unless I fixed bad gas tank for thousands of dollars. That seemed untrue to me. So after fixing EGR valve the check engine light went on again. So I went to another engine repair shop. They said it was the EGR valve again. The area behind valve wasn't cleaned out. Hmm. After that was cleaned out I passed emissions and haven't had a problem. My gas tank is fine. I suggest that you don't ever use Kreugers as a car repair shop. They are dishonest. read more

I've had a rattle in the front end of my 2002 Ford Ranger for a while but it had been getting worse. I was off work for medical leave and Krueger's is only a few blocks away. I dropped of my truck, they looked it over, front sway bars - $820. I had this same project done a few years back, "go ahead" I said and was told it would be done in a day. That day comes and goes, I called and was told, "tomorrow - but we have a car you can use." Great! I'll walk over! I drove the loaner car to West Bend, came out and it won't start, radio won't work clearly battery issues. I called Krueger's to explain the car wouldn't start. "Well, we're too busy. Can't you get a jump?" I had throat surgery, can't speak well but I'll ask around. I opened the trunk, no cables and nobody willing to help in the immediate area. I call back to try and get some assistance. "There is nothing we can do to help now, maybe in a couple hours." Couple hours!?!?!? I called a shop down the block from where I was at in West bend, got the car fired up and drove immediately back. No apology, no comment of any type and the person behind the counter didn't even look up. I got in my repaired truck and the noise was even worse! I should have read the reviews here first. Went for a routine Oil change and they forgot to put my oil cap back on so oil was spraying all over the inside . When I contacted them about this the owner assured me it had been all cleaned up. When I opened the hood to check oil was still all over the inside of the hood and engine and the inside reeks of oil. So they had to go back in and clean it a second time. When I complained about the smell he told me he sprayed the inside of the car with a new car smell, still reeks of oil. With a nonchalant oh sorry that happened. Been going here for about a year now for regular oil changes which was great. Problem happened when I bought a set of front and back breaks pads thinking I could install them myself. Ended up being harder than I thought and called Krueger to give me an estimate for them to install it for me. We agreed both front AND back brake pads would be replaced with the set I had purchased. They estimated $130 for installation and I made the appointment. They called me next day to clarify that I indeed wanted front AND back installed. Upon getting my car later and getting the bill it was instead $250. When I asked why he said "$130 per axel" and was given no discount. I couldn't have been more clear when I said front and back brakes over the phone and again when I dropped my car off. When they called me to "clarify" that both front and back pads were being installed they failed to mention the new price they pulled out their ass. Sneaky move but I wasn't surprised.
