The sandwhiches have great Flavor , always toasted to perfection! I'm not the biggest tea person , however the Thai ice tea!!! OMGEE loveeeee it , it's sweet but also has a mild tea flavor. Not so bland just right. There service isn't my favorite, so when I go I just order take out. I just don't feel welcomed there, I feel ignored. However it's totally fine with me, my food to go works for me! I haven't gotten a chance to try there deserts yet, I'm hoping to try some in the future. KrungThep Tea Time. How do I describe this. Let me set set the scene... It was a hot and sweaty 92 degree early Monday afternoon with my friends, after walking 18 minutes from the Winter park sun rail train station, I came across a black and white sign that exemplified the magnificent combination of letters that spelled, "KrungThep." Little did I know, I was about to have the most conflicting, mouth watering, living changing meal of all years of living on this god forsaken planet. I looked at my friends, in desperation for a meal, this was our only option. With the sweat on our backs, and FULLY MASKED FACES, we gather our thoughts and stepped into this atmosphere that I can only describe as charming and quaint. As we walked we were immediately greeted by a man that was also FULLY MASKED. This respectful young man directed us to our seats and gave us time to look through the menu. Now, my fellow yelpers, get this, the menu, was ONLINE. Via a technological advancement known as a "QR code". I was shocked, flabbergasted. Our mouths collectively DROPPED to the pleasantly cold floor(Opposite of the ceiling). I was honestly shocked at the variation of meals and beverages that were present. From the weirdly non professional name known as "Larb" to the exquisite name that was "Gra-pow chicken", it was a culture shock. As my fellow yelpers, you should know that I am middle eastern and Dominican, so this new Asian cuisine was a breathe of fresh air. My european friend and my friend who is African American (BLM), were surprised as well. Now I'm getting off topic haheha!! Anyways, I order a Larb and a Lychee tea. My European friend order a gra-pow chicken, and thai iced tea. And my African American friend ordered a Pesto Chicken, and a Cha Ma Now iced tea. As we waited for our food, we played a intense game know as the famously hispanic game, UNO. You might know it from the new, more "hip/revamped" game; DOS. Now first, our drinks came. Everyone's was good but mine personally was a bit too bitter. I asked the waiter if I could get lemonade in my drink but he unfortunately declined. As our food arrived, my colleagues and I embraced the delectable sight that was our food with ever-so-hungry eyes. I shall speak for my plus ones when I say we were astounded by the most pleasant and crisp crunch of the sunflower bread. I had my doubts, wondering how in the world sunflowers could birth seeds that created such a delicious breading for a sandwich. As I took yet another bite, I realized this could only be made by God's most trustworthy angels (AKA The Chef in the back ;) Let's move on to the meat of the sandwich. The spice was BREATHTAKING! As a Hispanic, I am immune to spice; however, this was quite an irrefutable spicy concoction. I could not tell if it was the chicken or the spread in my sandwich, but it was slightly grainy. But grainy enough to pick off my sandwich like taking olives off of a pizza. My expectations were now at an all time low. My two friends I mentioned earlier (European and African American) were having a trip I could only describe as this: ecstasy. They reported urgently that these were the BEST sandwiches ever. As a supportive friend, I stole a bite, neither big nor small, but what the Starbuckian frequenters would describe as a "grande size." Now that I think about it, why do they call it grande? Nevermind. That's a review for another day. I can assuredly agree! Delectable! Spectacular! Stupendous! Overall a good experience with minor complaints. I give this "restaurant" 4 stars. Me and my sister ordered the U-E-NO and Jasmine tea on ice as well as the grass jelly on the side. The cashier indicated that their teas naturally had sweetener and we did not need to add it. She also indicated the grass jelly had gelatin in it. The establishment was basically empty aside from two other groups of customers and we recieved our drinks 10 minutes later. The grass jelly we got on the side and it tasted dirty and nothing like it should. Our drinks had no sweetness to it and when I asked for simple syrup the barista gave me packets of coarse sugar to put in my cold drink and adding them completely ruined the drink. Customer Service was poor and misleading, I still gave a two dollar tip and the workers ignored my farewell and thanks. I paid $12 and would get a full refund if I could. read more

What a fun spot! This is definitely a place that I will be visiting multiple times. There is a wide selection of teas, fun sandwiches, and delicious desserts. The teas are HUGE (at least when you order in) and they have a delicious, refreshing flavor. I got the caramelized pear, which was surprisingly not too sweet but perfect for the hot July weather. My +1 and I both ordered a Brick Toast, which I HIGHLY recommend. The toast is fresh and crisp. I got the Matcha Emperor and he got the Sleeping Beauty (fitting, right?). They were both delicious. If you love red bean and matcha, get the Emperor. If you're a big Nutella fan, you won't be disappointed with any of the options that include the Sleeping Beauty. This is a little cute and modern cafe in Orlando with a twist on traditional thai dishes in a sandwich/salad form. The concept of it is actually pretty cool, especially since I have never actually tried any other place like this. The Thai Iced tea is huge and it's only $3! They have a huge variety of teas and other beverages as well, but the thai iced tea was delicious so I highly recommend it! I had the Tom Yum Shrimp sandwich on sourdough and I really enjoyed it. They were a little heavy on the Tom Yum sauce, but I liked it regardless. It went really well on the sour dough, especially when it absorbed a good amount of it. I am new to the neighborhood, and I have been trying different restaurants everyday day for lunch. I have now been here two times, and both times, it was delicious! I tried their the Thai iced coffee with cheesecake topping. I wasn't sure what to expect from their coffee at all, and I was very pleasantly surprised. The service was also quick, which is also great for a quick lunch break or a take out order. Their location is very convenient and easy access. I smile at reviews that criticize a restaurant because the reviewer can easily replicate the food at home or could cook something similar at home. Fortunately for me, I would never have that problem because I never cook anything at home. I love Thai curries and I love grilled cheese sandwiches; the idea of combining the two sounded very interesting, so I felt that I had to try a few of these. My favorites are the Tomyum Goong and the Satay Satay. The Gra-Prow and Green Curry are a little too heavy on the red peppers, but if you request the restaurant to hold the red peppers, then these spicy sandwiches are quite delicious. The sandwiches are messy to eat, with all the curry, butter, and gooey cheese, so grab a lot of napkins. Among the bread choices, the sunflower seed bread tastes best (to me, at least) with the curried fillings. So.... I'll admit, I can't pronounce the name of this place for the life of me.. I normally refer to it as "the place with tea and brick toast". That doesn't stop it from being one of my regular chill spots. It's a small tea shop with a huge selection of teas from white to green to black to milk. I love their Thai tea, but on chilly nights a big cup of hot coconut hits the spot. The mugs are enormous! You're definitely getting your moneys worth. I finally tried one of their sandwiches the other day as a quick dinner and although I appreciate the small side salad and the sandwiches are pretty decent, I wish they were a bit larger and had a few more ingredients. The sandwich had a scant amount of small shrimp. The very few small shrimp were lumped in the center. I tried spreading them around, but it was still mostly just toast/bread that I ate. I ended up putting the side salad in between the bread just to have something besides bread to bite into, some filling. Huge disappointment, definitely not worth the money. Don't believe the hype. The waitress was nice as can be. How can I point out the awkward obvious when the neighboring table was only inches away? Uncomfortable. I decided to order the Hibiscus Tea, and it wasn't as flavorful as I was hoping. But it was okay. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't call it good either. There were two employees, and they were a little socially awkward with my friends and I. When we had questions about the menu they wouldn't respond right away, and when they did respond, they would barely answer our question with a vague answer. It was just weird honestly. 4.5 stars for a cute and tasty tea and sandwich location. I've been to KrungThrep a few times to grab various snacks. Located on Fairbanks not far from the intersection with Orlando Avenue, KrungThep is a standalone venue (with a large parking lot) that provides a fun and unique experience. When you walk inside, the first thing you will see is a large open area with some cute little tables sprinkled around, a long counter separating the customer/employee area, and a lit up "KrungThep" sign. I was a little surprised at first my the simplicity of the venue, but the decorations that they have all around the restaurant actually make the simple concept work. During my last trip, I went up to the counter and took some time to look through their fairly large menu. They have several pages for their various drinks, sandwiches, "naked" sandwiches (aka salads), and desserts. While most of the food items were Thai in nature, there were more than plenty of options to choose from. I decided to order (at the register) the sweet and sour sandwich and a chocolate tea drink (which turned out to be pink for some reason). Since the restaurant wasn't that busy, I was able to get my food and drink within just a few minutes (something that other venues seem to struggle to emulate). While I was ok with just taking my box and drink and heading out, the cashier (probably due to seeing me taking pictures) insisted that I let her bag my food in one of their classy bags. While not a big deal, the good service and fun details really added to the experience. The food and drink were both fantastic. The combination of sweet and sour with shrimp, cheese, and tomato was a uniquely perfect combination, while the pink chocolate drink was tasty and not too sweet to prevent it from being refreshing. I have only gotten drinks there but it seems as if it is the type of service where the waiter/waitress only interacts with you at the crucial points (while giving the menu, asking for what we want, bringing the items & checkout... not really a place where they check up on you). I ordered a matcha green tea with coconut milk (that is their only dairy free option... no almond milk or soy milk). The drink was so good but if you like sweet I would stay with regular milk or try something else!! It's low caffeine drink but I get it more for the taste. Such a cool environment for either hanging with friends or herring work done (if you can work with music since it can get noisy sometimes). The only thing bad was that after a while our server brought our bill and asked if we needed anything else because there were people waiting which felt a little pushy. If you're ever in Orlando area, you should definitely marked this as a "must", go spot. I absolutely dig the atmosphere of this location. The salads are super delightful and the sandwiches are very delicious and fresh. I really like how the milk teas are made not too sweet or powdery. I went with the recommended Gra-Pow ($9.00) - a delicious combination of chicken, mozzarella, and basil mayo on sourdough bread. It's difficult to come up with a good fusion concept. If it isn't done right the whole thing crumbles apart like a bad cookie. What is interesting to me is Thai people are not usually known for eating sandwiches (it is considered more of a Western meal). Here essence of flavors of traditional Thai dishes showcased in the form of a sandwich meal came together very well. I was on Holiday here and randomly found this place via Yelp. It is definitely a hip sandwich shop. From the large flashy lights bearing the restaurant name to the wooden bench along most of the wall, the decor makes you feel at home and welcomes you. Some of the tables have metal tuk-tuks as centerpieces. There ware also pictures of the Thai Royal family on the wall, paying tribute to the late King. The waitress recommended pumpernickel bread for the chicken satay sandwich. It came with a side of salad that was the right balance of crispy greens, plump juicy tomatoes, magical vinaigrette dressing. I had never tasted such a vinaigrette before; it had a complete savory taste profile that left me wanting more. The chicken in the sandwich was moist and the bread was toasted to perfection. I chose peach iced tea to accompany the meal. It arrived with a lot more ice cubes than I had wanted, which watered down the drink. My friend ordered the papaya salad which was spicy. For dessert my friend ordered the matcha toast. I highly recommend it; it will not disappoint. There was a vase of fresh flowers on the table which adds to the authenticity of the welcoming feel. Wifi is available as well as outlets. The restrooms are one room for each gender. The ladies room was very clean. I would definitely come back to try another sandwich. Maybe a little bit too sweet since the brick toast is sweet, and the icing sugar and the nutella make it ever sweeter. Slightly too much sweetness but it was good. However my husband was dissappointed with his sandwich. Taste was good but $9 for a tiny toast like this is not worth it. How have I not written a review for Krungthep Tea Time yet?? I would rate it higher if only there was more seating, or people didn't hog up tables for hours on end doing assignments on their laptops. Also if the flowers at the tables and the bar weren't all dried and shriveled up. It looked a bit macabre. I haven't had the pleasure of trying any of their savory options as I inevitably come here after I've already had lunch or dinner. But I will go one day for lunch! I loved their Thai iced tea and iced coffee. They have an extensive tea menu, and I hope to try some more varieties next time I viait. My new favorite item is the butter milk toast (with sweet condensed milk) and the sugar butter toast (with brown sugar). Not a huge fan of the witches hat desserts. I only came here for a matcha milk tea but I must return for a Thai inspired sandwich and Instagram worthy dessert! Expect to pay $3-$3.50 for a hot or iced tea but you will get a very generous serving of tea. Their tea list is pretty extensive and everything sounds delicious! I also thought the pictures of the late Thai King were very sweet. :) read more

Wow this is probably the best tea place I've come to. Ive been to a lot of tea places but this is probably one of the top tea places I have ever been to compared to Taiwan and the US. A lot of tea shops rely on cheap powder and cheap tea but I can tell this place relies on good tea and great flavoring. Krung is very different from tea shops in Taiwan in that the variety amazing. You can really taste the tea flavor with milk compared to the Lollicup artificial flavorings. If I lived in this area, I would try everything they have on the menu but unfortunately I live in Gainesville. I would definitely go out of my way to come here again. read more

This place is amazing! I have been coming to KrungThep for just about 3 years now and will continue to visit. Not only is the food and Thai Iced Coffee (with and without cheese) amazing, but the customer service is probably the best I've ever experienced. The employees are very friendly, nice and respectful. When I heard that they were offering curbside pickup due to the pandemic and they come to your car with a mask/face shield and gloves, and the drinks are covered in plastic wrap, I decided to order a a Thai Iced Coffee and bottle Thai Iced Coffee. I felt very safe, which says a lot because I've only gone to a handful of places since March as I am considered vulnerable. I will order from them again, I'm just waiting for the bottled Thai iced Coffee to be in stock again. The interior is very nice, always clean, and bright. It's relaxing and I love grabbing a sandwich and drink for lunch. I can't wait to go back when that is available and I feel safe going out into the world again. This is definitely a place to try and I recommend to a lot of people. I've met friends here to catch up, met fellow students to study before a big test, gone by myself and even had a first date here. 10/10 recommend trying KrungThep! read more

Great choices for both beverages and be sandwiches. It send a little off for table service here with the menu rather than counter service but we'll go with it. The sandwiches are fresh and tasty. There are many drink choices as well. Great for a dessert stop, too. read more

Super unique, wholesome, yummy, delicious food and drinks~ Seriously, if you're nearby this cafe, come and try their food and drinks and you will not regret it. I've tried multiple Thai tea places but this place was cool in that even their sandwiches were Thai themed. The sandwiches were good too and had cool unique names that referenced popular Thai foods. Definitely try the sandwiches with sunflower bread. It's delish. The texture of the bread kinda reminded me of Dave's killer bread. The drinks are super good and unique! Thai tea had a deep flavour that definitely didn't taste like it was made from powder. It was creamy, sweet but not too sweet and iced perfectly enough to give you the most happiest smile on your face after you take a sip. The desserts here are amazing too so don't be afraid of the calories or what not. I mean it's dessert. Of course you have to have one bite. read more
