As a child I loved this place so every time I'm back in Jacksonville I try to stop by. Each time I've came so far my burgers have been hot and good. The ppl working the drive through have been pleasant. They seem to be understaffed at night which I feel bad about. But I do recommend this location. read more

I just recently moved to Jax from northern Va, I've been recently trying to"new" fast food that I haven't seen before. Krystal's was the go to today. I was very excited about this experience however just this certain Krystal is disappointing. I put my order in at 830 for a 9 o'clock pick up. I come through the drive through around 915, my girlfriend had ordered and I forgot she put it under her name instead of mine so as I'm trying to tell the guy at the speaker my name he's yelling back at me not being able to understand what I'm saying. I end up realizing I messed up and went "I'm sorry it's actually Faith" he proceeded a to go "then why would you say a different name. I ignored him and went to the window. He opens the window and rudely shrugs me off to go take a parking spot to wait for my food. I wait about 5 minutes for my food ignoring the fact that I did order half a hour ago but whatever maybe they'll make it fresh. This nice lady comes out to hand me my food but I did have to bring her back out because they forgot my 2 large drinks with both my meals. I told her I'm sorry I got a Dr pepper and a sprite. She nicely gets those for me and brings me my drink I go to park and take a drink of my drink instead of sprite she brought me a Dr Pepper and Coke. Not a big deal I can drink a Coke and get over it. I began to eat my food seems all nice and warm, until I get to my burger it was ice cold. My girlfriend had chicken nuggets, those were find only thing I can guess is they put the fries,tots and nuggets back inside the grease to heat them up and obviously you can't do that with a sandwich. Maybe that's my fault however I just wish the customer service was better, I've worked in fast food paying attention to your customers instead of shrugging them off constantly will bring them back. We were starving on Christmas Eve and decided to give this place a shot. The line moved quickly, and to our delight, we got our food promptly. It was piping hot and super fresh. Even though it was Christmas Eve, the drive-through representative was friendly and made our experience pleasant. We felt a bit guilty about them working on the holiday, but the service was outstanding! read more

I've gotta bump them up to 5 Yelpie stars. We come here at least once a week and always very, very late at night. I mentioned in my other review that they keep the drive-thru moving quickly even when it gets really busy on Friday and Saturday nights after the bars close. I felt the need to update because as often as we come here, not once has our order been incorrect or sloppy. We also always get the chili-cheese fries and they put plenty on the fries... the cheese is always melted perfectly. Such a difference from the Krystal we use to go to all the time at the corner of 103rd and Blanding. I'm also still amazed that every employee we encounter has been all smiles and friendly. I can't say I could be that friendly in the middle of the night when dealing with all the drunks coming from the bars at 2 and 3am. Kudos to them! I know we shouldn't eat here are often as we do. The food is oh-so-bad for you. But, we're night owls, eat dinner late, and there just aren't that many options. read more

One of the worst service Krystal's I've ever been to. 3 people running the whole restaurant. Only one person was working the front counter and the drive thru window. This was during a fairly busy part of the day. Maybe they don't expect much business. I would keep going and find another Krystal's where they value customers because clearly this one does not! read more

On the hunt for food while driving from Orlando to Jekyll Island, we spied Krystal as an option from highway signs just past downtown Jacksonville. The crew that I was with was in the same mindset that I was - coming from eastern Canada there's a lot of American fast food chains that for better or worse (probably better) haven't made it to our neck of the foods. So when we're down in the US, amongst the meals sampling local styles and generally nice modern places, we like to throw in a new fast food experience, and Krystal was our nominee this time. It was just after the lunch rush when we showed up and there was no line up at the registers, and just a few of the middle aged/older locals having a chat in the dining area. After surveying our menu options, I went with the "5 for $5" combo, selecting two Krystals with cheese, two Chiks, and a small fries for my five items and tacked on a medium drink for $1. We got our numbers and went to sit down, although our trays were kindly brought out to us in a matter of minutes. I started off with the Chiks, their breaded chicken sandwiches, wanting to have it at what should be its peak level of crispness before it steamed itself under its own heat in the bun. While I'm sure they come to the store frozen in a bag, the chicken was actually pretty decent - moist and tender, with a slight peppery hit to the crispy breading. It was a tasty little sandwich. The lone pickle added some tartness for contrast, and there was the Goldilocks level of mayo on it as well. Next up was the (in?)famous Krystal burger itself. The meat was definitely nothing to brag about, but nothing that thin at a chain restaurant could be. But really it's more about the package as a whole - the diced onions, the cheese, the mustard and the pickle, this is what burgers used to be like back in the mid-20th century. Krystal is one of the few spots still doing burgers this way, and that alone deserves some points. My fries were right out of the fryer; hot, crispy and fluffy inside, they weren't a "Eureka!" moment in the history of french fries, but they were still quite enjoyable. Service was friendly and quick, and lunch for two cost and impressively low $13. While I'm not going to wish that there were Krystals all over Nova Scotia, I can now tick Krystal off my somewhat sad list of American QSR "must eats". read more

This location on dunn ave is disgusting. Inside and outside. Cats running around. Damaged drive thru. Staff not even in the building. Why have things on the menu if you're never going to have them in stock? The longer this place is open the shittier it becomes. From the staff to the foundation this Krystal's is built on. Jacksonville is too big of a city, we're too close to the airport, and Krystal's is too big of a franchise to not give a fuck. It's like looking at an unattended baby w a full diaper. read more

Scheduled an order for 8-8:30 and they start making in at 7, don't hold the pickles and everything is cold & stale. The tots disintegrated upon biting & were cold and greasy. Milkshake was ok but how can you ruin that? One and done on this ish. read more

I like Krystal's breakfast. The sausage/ bacon scramblers (in a cup you get grits, cheese, eggs and your choice of bacon or sausage for $2.99. It's just enough to fill me up. It's funny I will eat breakfast here but I don't eat their hamburgers (sliders). I prefer White Castle sliders. I usually get pretty good customer service. The drive thri lane usually is long but it moves quickly . If you want an extra piece of bacon or sausage it's going to cost you $1. read more

Being where I'm from White Castles are the slider King but what I will get from here are the Breakfast scramblers ... the perfect amount of food for a morning on the go! I love Krystal's, we don't have them in Texas so I get some every time I'm in town. This specific location was very " ghetto" and honestly a little racist. My husband is Mexican and the lady at the front said " oh You ain't from here are you" as everyone in the restaurant is staring at us. Very unprofessional and embarrassing. We got a 12 pack with half no mustard with ketchup and the other half regular. There was no packaging difference to be able to tell which was which. Wouldn't go there again. read more

A Krystals is a Krystals, is a Krystals.....wrong! This particular location on Dunn Ave., for some reason, has the best burgers/sandwiches. I dunno what it is, you'd think that all franchises should taste and be exactly the same BUT, these guys are doing something that puts them above the others. Now their fries and sodas are not always a hit and the interior of the store seems like it could use a little remodeling and that's why I'm not going with 5 stars. I/we do like their burgers enough that if we're even remotely close to this location and the Krystal craving hits us?....we'll stop in, even if we're closer to a different location. read more

The only saving grace for this place is the food was hot. Filthy outside and inside, we are on a road trip and stopped to get gas, food break etc. While ordering we changed our drinks to milkshakes, during this process one of the workers in the back started yelling about how many shakes we were ordering, I'm sorry to inconvenience them with my business. Is it sad that we eat here often and we're not a couple of drunks scavenging for food?? While the food isn't the best in the world, it's very addictive and we often find ourselves craving it late at night....hmmmm... Well, since we are people of the night, it's not unusual for us to get hungry and find that this is one of the only places open..... The food itself is decent.... The service here isn't bad either. The drive-thru moves quickly, although at times they have to repeat themselves several times to the drunks in front of us.... This is a good place to cure that late night craving. read more

The Late night drunk food should I say. You know after eating really good and pretty foods. You just need to throw it out the window and get a couple gut bombs. I really don't know what happened but the feeling just came over me. Cheese Krystals with the steamed bun and a touch of mustard. Then that wafer brown piece they call meat. It just brought back many old memories of really late night trying to sober up enough to drive. A lot sure has changed one I don't drink so that throws the whole drunk out. I drove up to the Krystals in Conyers, Ga and I must say that it was the worst food, service and experience that I've seen in my 60 years. The place is absolutely filthy. The lady at the window was having a bad day and she made me think that I was the cause. Once I got my food I understood why the drive thru lane was so nasty, everyone looked in their bag and dumped that slop on the ground. Where is the Health Dept. when you need them? read more

This is one of my go to brands kystals when I don't want to cook breakfast but this location on Dunns was one of my worst experience of all. I went through the drive thru, got my order at 939am...I always test my potatoes most restaurants like to give you cold potatoes mine was cold so I asked the young lady at drive thru for some hot ones she asked me to pull up so I parked...remind you I got my food at 939am....I got out my car at 1010am to go inside to get my tater totes for my sunrise breakfast I ordered about 3 employees spoke which was good but no one asked if they could help, long story short my experience was awful I finally got fries ( not tater totes) at 1030am needless to say the rest of my breakfast was cold...Dunns Ave your employees got to do better don't mess up the restaurant chain with your stores lack of customer service!!!! read more

I was extremely disappointed in this establishment. We stopped here on our drive home to Virginia from Florida. We decided to get a box of Krystal burgers 24 in all 1/2 cheese 1/2 without cheese. The wait was approximately 25 mins in the drive through. When I was putting in my order the person behind the mic asked me a dozen times to repeat my order all while she was talking to someone else at the same time. We visited the establishment around 7pm on Christmas Eve we had 3 cars ahead of us and 4 behind us. I understand this may have been overwhelming to anyone so I was patient waiting in line. Once we pulled up and paid we were handed our box and we left. The burgers without cheese were covered in mustard, more mustard than should be on a tiny burger, no pickles or anything just mustard. The 1/2 with cheese were okay, they were luke warm and had a lot less mustard on it which was better, and it had pickles too and onions. One of the few places my husband and I have checked out at 12am to get food during a night out. They never mess up the order. They are always friendly. The food is always really hot. This place will always only be good for drunkin snacks in my opinion. I have never really like Krystal sandwiches but the Krystal chicks are pretty tasty. Chili cheese fries are good. Typical fast food. Not a Go To place to eat. It is cheap and quick. My dogs like the little chicken sliders. I like the little corn dogs. We don have a Wiener schnitzel here so I am limited on where I can get a corn dog. Sometimes I just crave one! Chili dogs are good too. We used to go more often when we had one across the street. I don't drive 5 miles for fast food too often. They usually get the order correct which is a plus. The food is all little so it's a good place to take a toddler for a treat. read more
