Love the food but for whatever reason Jax cannot get competent staff at any of their locations, stopped going to beach blvd due to the slowest service in fast food history on every visit. Started going here the last couple years, it's normally somewhat efficient but just had to wait 40 MINUTES today for an online order that was supposed to be ready when I arrived, this is after having another incident a few months ago where I waited over 30 minutes. They claimed everyone ordered online at the same time, they got ONE order completed the first 30 mins I was there.... never seen anything like that in my life. Imagine chick fil A getting 8-10 orders and their response being getting one order out in 30 minutes. You guys need to be so much better, something like this should NEVER happen read more

I really want to like Whataburger . I ate at the Destin location a couple of years ago and it was glorious. Since then I've been to one in South Carolina and this one here in Jacksonville and was underwhelmed both times . The fries had no flavor and they need options maybe a curly fry or a seasoned fry to complement their burger combos . I had the Pico De Gallo burger combo today and the burger itself was good but not worth $14 at all . They employees were really cool and brought out all the condiment trays with their sauces and came and took my tray which was nice . It will probably be awhile before I come back sadly read more

Whataburger in warm places - 2 of 2 I have seen this Whataburger in the past, have eaten here once, and filed it away as the only Whataburger in the JAX metro area that I don't have to look up. It's conveniently located on Phillips Highway, just south of the JTB. So, why am I giving this location 4 stars? At some other fast food places or donut shops in this metro area, you may get borderline surly service. That is not how it is here at this Whataburger. The folks at the front counter and in the back cooking are polite to you, either in the way they patiently take your order or just by nodding to greet you from the back while they're at work. The menu, the pricing, and the cleanliness are all good. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich combination and ate it inside the restaurant. It was very tasty. This area is a nice clean and vegetated cluster of offices, lodging, newer housing stock, and varied food establishments. They have a generously sized parking lot. I don't know if this is America's easternmost Whataburger, but it is the easternmost metro area in which Whataburger is present. They are not located in more southerly points in Florida. I looked at a map of the Whataburger footprint, which is very Texas-centric, and found that their westernmost tentacles extend to the big cities in Arizona, hence about 350 miles from L.A. as the crow flies. Just sat in the drive thru for over 30 mins with 3 cars in front of me. I pulled up at 12:29, I know this bc I called my daughter and asked her what she wanted as soon as I pulled in. I ordered my food and literally did not get it until a few minutes after 1. I told the girl running the drive thru that I don't understand how it could take 30 mins to get food when I had 3 cars in front of me. She asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. The manager was standing behind her making herself something to drink, I believe, while the whole drive thru had cars lined up. The manager started arguing with me telling me that they just did shift change at 12. Remind you I got my food a few mins after 1 am! Shift change doesn't take an hour and I arrived 29 mins after 12. It should only take 10 mins. It's completely unacceptable. The manager was completely unprofessional. To make it worse, the food was cold and they gave me the wrong drink. Also I noticed Jacksonville will hire anyone. Every business should consider who they are putting as the face of their company, esp the manager. Not a good look. Oh my word, I just gave a "fast food" place 5 stars! The hype is real, I'm a believer! First time trying a Whataburger and oh man did it not disappoint. It overwhelmingly overachieved! (Sp?!!) Flew in late night into Jacksonville. On our enroute to our hotel in Saint Augustine, lo and behold, a bunch of Whataburgers are open, they are 24 hours, hallelujah! As we drove closer the fun W definitely stood out. Going in, very impressed. It was super clean, well, maybe a table here and there that was still a little dirty, other than that no complaints here! They keep a tidy ship, for sure! Ordered the number 1, the Whataburger combo, added cheese. It was affordable, cooked to order, big, and seriously felt "full" after eating. My buddy ordered, idk, a double bacon something something. Looked amazing! They have sweets too, which we didn't try. Decent food for a fast food chain, it's more of a tradition to stop by than a choice of a great restaurant. Place is decently clean and service is fast. Overall decent place. They did give me a look when i asked for a spicy sandwich and triple check if that is what i wanted, not sure how to take that. We will probably stop by again but mostly because it is a tradition of my husbands family. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not the stars reflect that. read more

Dined in and used the drive-thru during weekday lunch hours at this location. Both times ordered ahead using the Whataburger app. Orders have always correct and ready on time. The staff was super nice the one time I ate inside. No complaints! read more

On a roadtrip to NC and decided to try it on my way as there isnt one in Orlando. I went at like 2 am so everything was truly fresh. Employees were nice and chill. Fries wasnt to salty and cooked perfect. The burger was pretty good, juicy patty. Nothing too special to me read more

Stopped by this Whataburger location yesterday at lunch to grab a quick bite. The drive-thru moved rather fast and I had my food in no time. The folks working the drive-thru were friendly, but the food wasn't hot. The fries were rubbery and cold and the burger was room temp. I will say the burger was tasty, even though it was cold. Still the food here was miles above other places like McD's or Wendy's. The biggest P.I.T.A about visiting this location is the crappy parking lot; it's so hard to get around and out of when it's busy. read more

Good and friendly service! We came through the drive thru just to get some milkshakes - a small caramel latte shake and a medium strawberry shake. They ended up messing up the order and giving us a medium caramel latte shake and small strawberry shake. But they were quick to fix their mistake and let us keep those two while giving us the medium strawberry shake we wanted without any trouble. Only complaint is that the shakes weren't really mixed well so the syrup wasn't really Incorporated so we had to manually mix them ourselves. But it was all delicious! read more

We kind of went out of our way to eat here. My husband loved this place when he visited the states as a kid. I never heard of Whataburger until he spoke about it lol. This is the closest location to us in South Florida, which is basically the opposite side of the state! We have stopped at this location because it was sort of on our way back and forth on our road trip to my parents in NYC. Since we always have our fur child with us, only one of us goes in to order and retrieve food. It is usually me because, well hubs is a dude and messes up orders a lot lol. Hubs trusts what I order him so he doesn't complain. These last couple of times, I ordered each of us a patty melt, large fries, and large onion rings. OMG the patty melt is soooo gooooood!!! It would be the perfect hangover or still drunk food. It's super greasy so if your stomach is sensitive, beware! It is so heavy that I struggle to finish it! The staff have been friendly, polite, and professional. I point this out because it is rare to find that in fast food. They did mess up twice by charging me for extra sauces and not packing them in the bag. But I observed the second time that it was the staff in the cooking area; not the cashiers. The restaurant is clean and neat. The prices are reasonable. They are open 24/7, which is really great if you are traveling on a road trip. They charge for sauces besides ketchup, mustard, and mayo. The food does take a while to be cooked and prepared so if you are in a hurry, then this is not the place to go. But you should go because it is worth it! read more

Some locations don't give you a lot of meat on the sandwich and you're like... "Whatburger?" This location is more generous. Decent Whataburger on the southwest side of Jax, and with extremely iffy service, and I mean really really aggressive, but I think their chicken sandwiches (which took very many years to make), were actually better than most Whataburgers make, and bigger and juicier, so kudos for those. I can't give less than 3 considering they provided better chicken than 97.4% of locations do. But what is Whataburger doing this far out of Texas? I heard for years the wonders and joys of whataburgers from my Texan friends. Well it did NOT disappoint. The burger is huge and delicious. The fries are my favorite kind, A lot like McDonald style fries. What really set it off was the Spicy Ketchup. You have to get the spicy ketchup with the fries. Lastly, the service is amazing. I think it's wonderful that this company has paired up with programs to help autistic kids get their first job. Lawrence had a bit of trouble understanding what sauces they had, and unfortunately couldn't name any of them for me when I asked.
