Arrived at 7:50 AM to have ten Krystal burgers for $9.99. Been eating burgers at Krystal during breakfast hours since the 1970's. To my dismay and out of the laziness of the breakfast crew, I was told that burgers are not sold until after 9 AM. I knew that it was a lie. I was the only customer in the restaurant and they did not feel like bothering. I then left the restaurant and drove on I-10 and found another Krystal in 20 minutes. That Krystal was happy to serve me their burgers but, as usual, told me that I would have to wait for them to be cooked because they do not have any burgers ready to serve before 9 AM. I followed the visit with an email to Krystal corporate office describing my experience. I do not live near any Krystal, and I was not looking to get any free burgers, because I could not redeem any coupon from them. It has been a week and a half and I have not heard anything from the corporate office. Shame on them! This is not how a long time customer (or any customer) should be treated. Food is good but once you know there's Rats and roaches in the store kinda makes you lose your appetite. Service depends on who's working. It's always kind of a hit-or-miss with Krystal locations. This one had its ups and downs. We went through the drive thru and the girl on the intercom really just sounded bothered like she didn't want to be there. We just ordered a couple of Chiks and there was no one else in the drive thru and hardly anyone in the parking lot, but yet we had to pull up and wait 8 minutes for our food. The upside was the lady who brought out our food was very pleasant and friendly, and the Chiks were actually pretty good. Definitely wouldn't check this one out in a rush. read more

This lake city, Florida location has always been our go to place for some krystal burgers, although today, at 1:00 in the afternoon, the burgers I got were clearly yesterday's burgers. They were cold and stale, and the fries were stale, also. We tried to call and talk to a manager, and only got a voicemail, which we are currently still waiting for a call back. Just awful. It's always a waiting game. Around 8.5 mins per customer - best estimate. Drive thru is always backed up and delayed. Dining room isn't the cleanest. Employees are dull emotionless, and uncaring about the job. I get it - it likely pays minimum wage and it's in the service industry......life sucks! Soda spilled on floor and a wet sign was placed over it and let to dry to a sticky mess. EVERY table was dirty, trash receptacles smeared with food. The young guy cooking starts beating frozen patties with what looked like a hammer. First hit caught me off guard and I looked up, his helper I'm guessing said something to him and out loud he replied "I don't care just like all the rest of them". There are people who would love a job, especially during holidays. I've eaten at steakhouses that didn't take this long to bring food out. I have never had an experience like I had there last week... I was treated disrespectfully by an employee who's name I believe was Donny (thin, dark-skinned middle age man) who was obviously upset when I politely asked how long my order would take before ordering. I just wanted to make sure I would have time to get to work because I had been late previously because they took so long. I DIDN'T even mention that, I just simply ASKED, without being rude. He then responded sarcastically that it would take a long time. I thought he had a sense of humor and laughed along with him. THEN I pull up to the window. AND since I had asked about the time he announces to his coworkers the situation... and even one of them calls him petty... as he decided to let my order of only two krystal burgers sit on the counter for a couple minutes (yes, I could see my TWO Krystals the entire time) . He played around while making me wait. I contacted corporate who have yet to respond and this was last week, I have never been given such service and as someone who has worked in the service industry for over 10 years, I am appalled that this would be acceptable. Ok. Let me correct my previous check-in statement. Krystal burgers are not just like White Castles. I repeat...they are NOT like the WCs. At first I thought they were, but as I got to burger three I had a hard time eating it. Something about the meal started off tasty but then went south. Lol!! With White Castles (aka Belly Bombers) I can throw those little oniony suckers down. The Dusseldorf mustard giving it that delicious zing. So yummy! Only giving 3 stars for the cashier! The young lady was very sweet while being the only one working in the front, while the other 2 guys walked around talking. Burgers are always delicious at Krystal, however the sweet tea was horrendous. Wait time at intercom was about 7 minutes, so there is an opportunity there (again the poor lady in the front is bagging, cashiering, and order taking hence my patience). I've been coming to this location since I was a child and it's sad to see the company let it go downhill. A true leader is all this store needs. read more

Krystals.... the closest thing you can get to White Castle in the whole state of Florida. The nearest one to where I live is an hour away, so driving home from New Orleans we saw a sign on the road for this and we had to stop. Only problem was when we exited there was no sign telling you which way to go. And for some reason both my phone and my husbands phone could not pull up the correct address. Either way, if you miss White Castles and the small buns with the steamed burger then this is where you go. Just make sure you ask for no mustard. Thats one thing I have yet to get used to. Wow! Awful enough service to warrant a negative star if Yelp would allow. The employees did not address us for nearly 20 minutes at the drive-through even though we repeatedly said "hello" multiple times. At least respond or give us acknowledgement that you are busy or something. Fine, whatever, you can't ignore us forever. My patient fiance was still pleasant with them even though I was already agitated and ready to go elsewhere...though the Krystal kraving was strong, lol. We ordered a 12 Krystals Sackful and a pup. Did not order any drink. We pulled up to pay and the jerk rang us for nearly $20. Hold that train up. That math is not right mister. We asked him to verify the order, and he said it was for the meal and a pup. Still being calm and pleasant, my fiance explained he did not order a meal and the dim-witted server the sacks only come with a meal. Excuse me, no it does not according to your menu. I had never been to Krystal, but had heard about them. I was visiting Lake City for a surprise birthday party. On my way, I decided to grab some quick food. When I entered, it was myself and one other customer ahead of me. We both placed our order, paid, and proceeded to watch the entire staff run outside to the parking lot acting like fools to watch and video tape the General Manager ride around the parking lot on his motorcycle (which he did poorly). Forget that two paying customers were inside waiting for food! When the staff returned, they were more interested in playing around and talking. The lady ahead of me had to make two comments about the wait before she got her food. I waited patiently and several more customers came in. The General Manager finally came in and instead of working, he sat in the lobby with another employee. After waiting around 18 minutes (verified by my receipt), I looked at my watch a few times to determine how much longer I could wait before having to leave to get to my event. The GM noticed me looking at my watch and actually said, "Is there a problem, because you keep looking at your watch." I mentioned that I should not have to wait 18 minutes for a Number 2 mean (3 double sliders, fry and coke). The GM got up, looked at my receipt to verify I was not exaggerating the length of my wait. He walked up to the counter and just started chatting with an employee. He did not go behind the counter, he did not find out what was going on, he did not help or encourage the staff to do anything, and he never came back to talk to me or get my order. After 20 minutes, I simply walked out. They got my money, but I never got my food. I honestly could not tell you if there food is good, bad or indifferent, but I can tell you it was my first and LAST visit to a Krystal Burger. Service is horrible from the very top all the way to the bottom! They need to consider flushing out the entire staff and starting over and hire people who take pride in their job and not just show up for a pay check - and I am talking about the staff and Managers. I could have gone to a sit down restaurant and been served a good meal in that same 20 minutes. If you give any thought to stopping at the Lake City Krystal Burger place, think twice and go somewhere else! read more

I have no words to express how undertrained and mismanaged this store is. Three visits over a month. Each at different times. First one, drive through, 45min for a number 1. Second visit, got someone else's food and it was cold and dead. Then there was tonight... Thought I'd game the system and preorder for through DoorDash 95min before the scheduled pickup. Yeah, I'm dumb. Needless to say, after I arrived I still waited 1hr and 25min before I canceled the order. The workers on shift were so busy processing refunds they couldn't process any orders. Let me be clear, this is not the fault of the shift workers. This is a clear management issue. This store needs to be closed for a week and everyone retrained before they lose all their employees and what's left of their customer base. Shameful. Worst Krystal we've ever been to. Service was bored and disinterested, burgers were inedible. (To clarify, I'm talking wet(?!) bun and undercooked slice of "beef" so thin you can see through it, drowned in mustard.) Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. I have not ate krystals in a while they do not have them in west Texas i am on VayKay in florida and hit the 1st krystals i saw its not like a have to eat but after not having in in 5\6 yrs it was nice to have some mini sliders the burgers just like remember hot and fresh very good little chick sammies were great however the mini chili dogs not so good however the god its self was great tasting the chili was very sour its always been that way long as i could remember but just be careful if you dont like sour chili lol it aint bad just a little tart and sour everything else was a hit the krystals its self was clean no flies thank you jesus staff were on point and very nice i didnt visit the rest room while i was there so cant comment on it BUT im pretty sure it was clean giving the eating\dinning area was 10+ on the clean factor read more

Ok when you're on the road and sick of McDonalds because kids in the next car love it 24/7, you are very limited with breakfast options. Today, much to my horror, the teenagers drove up to Taco Bell. Thank goodness next door was Krystal's. We've never been there but I noticed a sign that they served breakfast, so there we went while teens had breakfast burritos at TB. I had a bowl with grits, cheese, scrambled eggs and bacon, hubby had the eggs platter, 7 yr old had biscuits and gravy and my daughter had an egg sandwich. Woah it was all amazing. I live in Live Oak Lake City area. Had a lousy experience with food here awhile ago.. maybe 5 years or so. We decided to give it one more try recently. We waited well over 20 minutes from drive up speaker to getting actual order. Black sister Employee at window was absolutely terrible and disinterested in our wait or even being there. Food was equally terrible.. I mean really bad. This Crystals needs for sure a total attitude adjustment.. I.E. new employees that give a shit... Gave my payment along with LCMS Falcon discount card was given change but no receipt employee was very unfriendly with alot of attitude as if she didn't want to be there. I don't remember her name but did see her title as "team leader". As I drove home I calculated total and realized she didn't apply discount. White Castle this , White Castle that! Are you kiddin me KRYSTAL is way better than White Castle. This Krystal was just a pit stop on my way back to Texas from a great Disney trip with the fam! I'm from San Antonio and Krystal was my first ever job, and it's where me and my fiancé met for the first time! We stopped at this Krystal and we ate our way into a coma! Unlike White Castle Krystal doesn't limit your appetite to a delicious onion steamed slider! We had the cute chili cheese pups, succulent chicken sliders, and of course a serving of chili cheese fries! I was a bit disappointed that this location didn't have the fiesta fries like the one I worked at, but I did work at a Krystal that had an expanded menu, everything from BA burgers, smoothies , and toaster sandwiches, but the three cornerstones of the Krystal franchise were great enough to complete my families magical trip to Florida! Next stop the Krystal hall of fame, maybe even have them cater our wedding ! Lol!
