Earlier today, my son Winston was experiencing significant discomfort from a broken orthodontic wire that is poking the inside of his cheek and making it painful for him to eat. In addition, he has a very loose baby tooth that is NOT attached to the bracket, and our orthodontist previously advised us that if the tooth begins to bother him, we should have our pediatric dentist remove it. When I called the office to request guidance, the receptionist responded in a raised tone and repeatedly stated that "there is nothing we can do," without asking clarifying questions or offering to relay the situation to the dentist. I fully understand that there are policies and limitations, but the lack of empathy and the refusal to escalate a clinical concern was discouraging--especially while my child was in pain. What I hoped for was simply reassurance, and perhaps a message passed to the doctor for professional guidance. Instead, the interaction left me feeling dismissed during a moment when my son needed help. I am sharing this respectfully so you are aware and can provide additional training or support to your front desk staff. Families rely on them not only for scheduling, but also for calm, compassionate communication--especially when a child is hurting.

Dr. Shah communicated and explained everything to us reached out to see if we had any questions. We opted to have our daughter under general anesthesia for the procedure and the anesthesiologist connected with us ahead of time to answer any questions as well as after the procedure. All of the staff is very friendly and great with kids. Very clean and inviting office for kids. Great experience.

One time, we had to wait while a friend of an employee had all their kids being evaluated. The last straw was our appointment being cancelled automatically without confirmation. They send confirmation for appointments via text two days prior to the appointment. I overlooked it as I was in meetings all day and forgot to get back to it. Well, they automatically cancelled it because I did not respond to the text. No follow up text asking to confirm or appointment would be cancelled, no information on the first text stating no response would yield a cancellation, just the cancellation and appointment given to another patient. Would make more sense to do this with patients which are not ever on time or are no shows, yet that doesn't seem to be the case. To the person who complained yesterday. The other patient likely came anyway after the appointment was automatically cancelled without them realizing, because well, what other place does that? Never coming back here again. We are busy parents and we need reliable timely service.

Upon bringing my child in for a basic cleaning, I heard the screeching sound of him screaming! Ive never heard him scream that way before it was so disturbing that I jumped out of my chair and ran back there to where he was sitting. I finally got him to tell me what was wrong, and he said that then tech had punctured his mouth and gums with her long claw fingernails. I immediately confronted her, and she went in the back room and cut her nails off, but the damage was already done. As I am walking out, the receptionist was laughing and said that "boys are the biggest crybabies". The Doctor was there and did nothing about it, as if it was just another day at the office. I did not stick around for his cleaning as i was too furious with the sadistic behavior of these so called humans.

She goes "Oh his crown broke off that is unusual. I don't think its sharp but I'm not sure what to do... I'm not a peds dentist so I can't do anything ... " so I'm like wtf did i bring him in if she can't do anything.... total waste of our time. But to put the cherry on top... we check out and Brian goes oh my that's highly unusual that the crown would break like that it might be a manufacturing issue.... I'll have the dentist follow up with you tomorrow when she comes in... Days go by and NO follow up whatsoever. Good thing when the ortho couldn't do anything, I started looking for a new dentist and they were able to look at my son's crown next day and made sure it wasn't sharp when we left their office and gave us a plan. A tooth Doctor For Kids is a joke. Go somewhere else if you want your kids teeth to be actually taken care of.

I called to ask if they can do labs and testing she said YES. She said on the phone they could do a blood draw and test for potassium overload. When I got there she said I needed to be evaluated and the dr. Would decide if I needed to be tested. I ask how long would results take and she said 3 to 5 days it goes to a third party lab. So NO YOU DON'T DO LABS!! If you lie to me once you don't get a second chance. I will be looking somewhere else for my urgent care needs. Training is key. UPDATE: The response isn't what I was told. It wasn't a miscommunication problem. Your girl, I came in contact with needs training. She is the first person the public comes in contact with. I don't remember her name but I remember her attitude. I ask specifically if you did labs and testing her answer was NO we send it to a third party. So Instead of leaving an advertisement for your business in the response you should use your time to train your staff. I don't need to discuss this further you know what you need to do.

Accurate rating description for two starts is "could've been better." This place only has PA/NP…read moreand no MD on site. They have the capability to draw blood and send to lab for stat orders. Unfortunately, what they lack ends up a longer list. The first MA was unable to get a vial of blood and said someone else would try on my other arm with a straight needed (vs butterfly). She left me without even putting a bandaid on the arm she poked and I had to struggle to put the bandaid on one handed while still maintaining pressure on it. Next MA comes and draws blood and when she's done she yelps I don't have a cotton ball (to put on the vein she just drew out of) and my blood is just pooling while she puts a bandaid on. Luckily I'm well versed enough to know I needed to put pressure on my bandaid. The NP who saw me was new to (per the MA) she really didn't put my mind at ease. Her expertise and knowledge seemed lacking based on the answers to my questions. First thing she asked me was, why are you here and not the ER? I told her my PCP sent me here because she didn't feel it necessitated a ER visit. She wanted me to be evaluated by YOU to assess and in your medical opinion, do I need to be seen further or what course of action next? She swabbed me for flu and covid and I verbally questioned her because I had isolated severe GI symptoms. She said sometimes those present wither GI only. Does it? I don't know, I'm not an MD but I'm also someone who works in healthcare and it didn't feel like the proper procedure. When I asked if she would be ordering any stool samples, I heard through my closed door "do we do that?". Ok, she's new, I'll give her that...but she comes back in and says "if you'd like to have the order for stool testing I'm happy to give that to you." Am I the md or am I the patient? I came here for your professional medical opinion! Do I?! So after I kindly communicated that I am looking to her for her opinion as the expert whether or not my symptoms necessitate an order, she still doesn't quite give me a direct answer! I haven't been to that many urgent cares, but I've come to see a trend that many of the urgent cares that are owned by a company with multiple locations don't have MD's on staff physically there. That said, I've also noticed the trend that many provide sub-par care.

Never did they ask me for anything financial other than my copay which was expected. Once I saw the doctor, boy was he thorough. He explained what was going on, what to expect and what I was doing that could make things worse. They gave me a steroid pill right there in the office - no need to go to the pharmacy! And they observed me after I took the pills to make sure I didn't have a reaction. It was actually a good thing that Exer didn't work out!

I just said, "Ok, I guess that's it". I felt helpless at this point. She then replied with, "okay"! And walked off nonchalantly. I stood there for a few seconds before realizing a nurse or aide was not coming to offer me an after visit summary, and escort me out. I then found my own way out. It made me wonder would she treat a non-minority the same way she treated me. I understand they have their own limitations, but to be treated so nonchalantly with lack of compassion is the upsetting part. Are bedside manners nonexistent now? I understand people have their off days, but this was completely unacceptable. Maybe consider another field if helping people doesn't bring you any sense of fulfillment. I will be reaching out to speak with a manager if possible.

Dr. Cirac saved my daughter's front teeth AND our family vacation! Dr. Cirac inherited us from Dr. Markham when Markham retired, but we have always been very pleased with Dr. Cirac. From his front office staff, through the cleaning process with his hygienists, to our check-ups with Dr. Cirac, the entire experience is always thorough and pleasant from start to finish. Dr. Cirac is great with our children and always puts them at ease. We never feel pressured into potentially unnecessary procedures. A few week ago, however, Dr. Cirac became our favorite dentist EVER! My daughter was about an hour from home when she chipped her two front teeth badly in a swimming pool. We were scheduled to leave town early the next morning for a family reunion. As my husband drove to retrieve her, I called several dentists that we know in a state of panic. This was on a Friday night, after office hours, and Dr. Cirac responded almost immediately. He quickly agreed to meet with my husband and daughter at his office, where HE waited for THEM as they drove the distance. He worked for 2-3 hours repairing the damage and was sensitive to the fact that my daughter is only twelve years old and that this injury was traumatic not only physically, but emotionally as well. When he finished, her beautiful smile was back, and she likes her new teeth even better than the old ones! I am so happy I found KS Dental and Dr. Su! I found the office through the recommendations of my friends who live in Huntington Beach. They completed Invisalign treatment with KS Dental and had a great experience themselves. Although the office's address is technically in Westminster, the office is very close to Huntington Beach and very conveniently located. The office itself is spacious, clean. The staff made me feel very welcome, and Dr. Su was very gentle and clear on what his recommendations are. The check in and check out process couldn't be any easier and clearer. They let you know the insurance estimate, and there are no hidden fees or charges unlike some stories I've heard from other offices. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience. I was looking for a dentist close to home and many of my friends recommended Cirac Family Dental. Boy did I hit the jack pot! Dr. Cirac ALWAYS has a smile on his face, and no wonder, he's teeth are beautiful. They allow 1 full hour for teeth cleaning appointments so the dental hygentist can be very meticulous. They use state of the art technology and are very thorough. My most favorite thing that makes them number one is that they are very prompt. I no longer have to sit in the waiting room for 30+ min waiting to be seen. I am seen within minutes of walking through that front door because they don't overbook their patients. I also like that new customers get free teeth whitening for life, so every check up I get refills on the whitening gel. Parking is a breeze too. My family and I have been coming here for 5-6 years. We were sad when we learned Dr. Cirac was moving, and we were worried as he was great with our kids. To be honest, when Dr. Su started, it was the same, family-friendly place. Most of the staff stayed on as well, which made the transition easier for my family. I always refer friends and families here as the service is great and the staff is amazing. They provide options to you about your treatment and care. They will let you know what they would like to work on 1st. Either it's something that is impacting you immediately or will be impacting you soon. They aren't here to force treatment but to show you what needs to be done, and then you can decide what might be best for you. KS Dental is where my family will continue to go for as long as we live in this area. read more

I had a dental bridge fall off out of my mouth this morning and called my regular dentist that I have been seeing for 7years and the Dr was not available for a consultation. I look up Cirac Family Dental and called Dr. Cirac. The Doctor asked me to come in the next hour. I yelp Cirac Family Dental to get the address and noticed the office was marked closed. When I arrived to the office I was welcomed by two smiles. In few minutes I finished my paperwork. Then I asked the office manager/assistant if they were closed today. She said;"Yes, this is a paperwork paperwork day." They accepted my paperwork, had a consultation, taken an X-ray, and had my bridge cemented to its post. Upon arrival, my insurance information and estimated costs are ready for me to review. No guesswork on what my share of the cost will be. The dental hygienist is so thorough. ive never done a review before but i feel like this time i had to! Im always scared of dental work, so when i found out i needed work done, i had high anxiety! When i tell you how kind and gentle everyone was! WOW! i was blown away by everyones demeanor and proffesionalism. The front office ladies where funny and comforting. The assistants in the back made sure i was good throughout the entire process and would often stop make sure i wasnt overwhlemed or feeling uncomfortable. My husband has genetically bad teeth (he even brushes and flosses better than me!) so we're always looking for an honest dentist that doesn't do anything unnecessarily or before it is actually needed. Dr. Cirac is just that! He is always open with what is going on, and with the timeline of treatment and our comfort always comes first. He is very calm, personable and very good at what he does. I found KS Dental through all the good reviews on Google and Yelp, and after coming here, now I know why all the reviews were 5 stars! Top notch staff and facility. They have the newest technology and equipment such as a 3D scanner that can instantly scan and show what your teeth look like! It is the coolest thing, and makes it so much more fun when visiting the dentist. Overall, it was a very comfortable experience, and I'm so glad I found KS Dental. Dr. Cirac -- Wow! If there were more stars, we would give them. Our son, Wes, was home for the weekend and broke a filling. He is in special forces training and was very limited on time to get the repair done. Dr. Cirac and his assistant made time for him and replaced the filling. Wes could continue his training without having it turn into a bigger dental problem to deal with. Dr. Cirac is very professional, and gentle--Wes felt right at home. I was glad to have been able to make an appointment within the week and didn't have to wait in the waiting room long. The dental hygienist got to taking x-rays right away and did a good job about not pinching my gums or cheeks too much during the process, which I know sometimes is a struggle. When Dr. Chris came in, there wasn't any niceties exchanged, barely an introduction. It felt very short, abrupt, straight to the point, and not conversational. I've always liked going to the dentist and felt comfortable at the dentist, but I can imagine for someone who doesn't like the dentist that this interaction would not have put them at ease or made to feel welcomed. I was told I had cavities and they were able to take care of them right away. Convenient for me not to have to come back another time, so that was great! What really threw me off was that during the process, Dr. Chris just announced out loud, "Time for a break!" And dropped everything and left the room with the hygienist. I was so confused and baffled. How could they take a break in the middle of filling my cavity?? I was stressing because I wasn't sure if he hurt himself and needed to go take care of it, if he went on a lunch break, or if something else was going on. I was left in the dark, figuratively. It felt like awhile before another hygienist came in looking for supplies when she asked if I was doing okay. I said I was fine and asked if everyone else was okay. She said that Dr. Chris needed to tend to an emergency with another patient momentarily. I felt a little better after knowing that. When he came back, I thought he would at least address his absence with something like, "I'm sorry for the interruption. I had to attend to an emergency." Or a, "Thank you for waiting." But instead, I got, "Okay let's keep going." As a healthcare professional myself, I understand the importance of transparency and helping manage expectation to help put patients at ease. A simple, "I will be back in a few minutes. I need to go help another patient" wouldn't have left me stressed out about what was happening and when/if he was coming back. We ended up getting interrupted again but this time I heard the other hygienist say, "I'm so sorry but I need you again." Dr. Chris said, "I'll be right there." And he left the dental saliva ejector mouthpiece in my mouth when he stepped out. I think he thought he'd be back right away so he didn't take it out but it ended up staying in my mouth so long I was so dried out and uncomfortable. I was tempted to remove it myself and honestly probably should have, but I kept thinking he'd be back any moment. Finally, he came back, again with no apology for stepping out. He finished up quickly and I was out. My mouth and tongue were still numb so it wasn't until the next day where I felt the grooves of the filling and I wanted it smoothed out. I called the office and they were able to get me in that same day. I was taken care of by hygienist Lynne and she was fabulous!! She was approachable, conversational, answered my questions, and checked up on how I was doing often. She helped me smooth out the rough edges of the filling so that it felt more seamless. She thanked me for coming in and told me to request her the next time I was in. I'm giving this dental office a 4/5 because of the timeliness of the appointments, the attentive hygienists, the cleanliness, and the good final product of my fillings. My major critique is just the bedside manner from Dr. Chris and the process of getting my filling. I'm hopeful and willing to give it the benefit of the doubt that it was just one bad fluke of a day. It wasn't bad enough for me to be turned away. I guess I'll see again at my 6 month appointment.
