This shop took me in when I need to get my nails done on a Sunday and another shop had me sitting around for an hour waiting for my appointment time. So for that I am appreciative. The pedicure wasn't great. They literally scrubbed my get for a couple of seconds and I left there with rough feet. My nails were noticeably not smooth with the gel and I had to ask for more than one top coat. Paint was still on the cuticles. Not a great job but would do in a bind. I would go again if I need something in a hurry. But they won't be my regular spot. I would maybe try another technician. I'm not saying the place is bad. It was clean although I do think they were using the same scrubber on everyone. The bowls they lined but washed with normal soap and water in between. My daughter and I went to this place 15 min before they closed and just wanted her acrylic removed. The lady was using a nail tip to lift up the acrylic nail, which caused my daughter's nail split in half so now lost nail and is in the worst pain ever. The lady tried to say it was already broken. Came here while on a vacation just to get my grown out nails fixed. I did not get what I asked. Whatever they used on my nails was thick and bumpy. They also left it all over my skin and my cuticles. I asked her to take it off and it was still there when I left. I don't know who I was put with. I told her it wasn't what I asked. I showed her a picture expecting she would go off it because I trusted the professionals but she gave me a different color after telling her multiple times it doesn't look like the picture. I was very upset with this salon. Even if it wasn't the color I wanted, sure I can live with that. But the fact it was all over my skin and I had to take a tool and a nail file to fix my nails when I got home? Seriously was so mad. This place always does mediocre work. They charged me for removing gel on my Toes..they were so grown out that it honestly would have taken longer to remove nail polish off my toes. She took the electric drummel thing and it was done in less than 1 minute..maybe even 30 seconds. I get it if they had to wrap each w foil and scrape like the nails (which you never get charged for at a normal salon) but no. Also I think I might have the worst paint job possible. It's all uneven and opaque and all over my cuticles. There are better option for sure..I went bc I couldn't get in to my normal place so I won't be returning. I will not be returning here. The ladies working there were rude to me and I didn't feel welcomed at all. While I was waiting for my pedicure, an older woman was getting a mani and pedi and the colors on her nails were different from her toe nails and she kept asking why over and over and they just kept saying they were using the same color and they don't know why it did that. You could tell the other ladies getting their pedi's were annoyed too. They never even acknowledged me or asked me how I was doing. When I was looking for my paint color, one of the ladies working there kept barging in front of me to find a color without even saying excuse me. I will say the foot massage they provided was pretty good. When I went to pay, they seemed annoyed I didn't have cash for the tip and I needed to add it to my card, and they charged me an extra $1 because of this and never said thank you or have a nice day. I'm sorry but if this is where you go to get your nails done... lmao. I've been getting my nails done for years and this is by far the worst salon I've been to. I get to the salon after asking, and being quoted $25 for full acrylic color nails. So I arrive, they tell me I need to wait an extra 15 minutes. Then I go sit with the lady in the back she breaks off all of my nails, cutting my actual nail bed. Then she raises the price on acrylic fill from $25 to $35... and she's like it's cause your nails were so thick before, blah blah blah. So 2 hours later my nails are done... LMFAO, y'all these nails look like they been shaped by a 5 year old. Then I get scooted to the pedicure station. I did ask for the water to be hot, but omg my feet came out and my skin is red. It remained red for 30 minutes. I'm now at 2.5 hours here, paying for a s*** job on my nails and toes. My toe nails have paint all over the cuticle. Maybe I'm spoiled by having an amazing nail tech and salon in LA and Atlanta, but the one time I visit my mom in San Diego, I go here and it reminded me why I only see one person in this state. I dropped by KT Nails the other night for a fill. Prior to coming I made an appointment just in case they were busy for 6:30pm. I asked her how long it would take and she said 50 minutes which was perfect since I had a pilates class at 7:30pm. Upon coming in I was helped by Van. She was very helpful and sweet when I was deciding kind of fill I wanted. I ended up choosing a pink and white fill which costs $28. My only gripe was she was sanding/grinding one nail came completely off.. and there was 4 others that she did too short. So she replaced 5 tips, but luckily didn't charge me for the replacements so I tipped her good. :) In the end I loved my nails, but I was rushing her towards the end saying I needed to leave because it was getting closer to my class start time. She ended up finishing me by 7:40pm.. I hope she didn't do any shortcuts.. because I was adamant on leaving even though if it wasn't finished I told her. What a disaster. I booked two appointments for my sister and I at 1:00 pm. We both were seated and had our feet in the water at the same time. My lady had started and finished my toes by the time my sisters lady started her toes. Instead of having her nails done at the same time ( like our appointment stated). Her nails ended up taking another 2 hours when originally the manicurist said one hour. I had time to go to the chiropractor and back. Every time I popped in the manicurist said another 15 minutes. Really glad I chose to go to this nail salon vs the one across the street. Kelly took really good care of me, I showed her the photo on the left and got exactly what I wanted. I opted out of getting the matte finish but will definitely come back to try it next time. She made sure the acrylic was put on very fine and thin and she even removed all the excess underneath (my other nail salon never did this) only $56 for a full set my style and a basic pedicure. Terrible. I went in for a manicure. I have short nails, no paint. I used to wear acrylics for over 2 decades. I asked the woman about suggestions because I have a sensitivity to acrylic. She said, don't do it. Ok...what about dip powder vs. gel. "dip powder stay longer". Ok, let's try it. This is what I got. Uneven nails, uneven color and ONE DAY after the $35.00 manicure, peeling of like, plastic that the top coat had turned into. That last coat covered a pitted, awful coat of "dip powder". There are 4-5 layers of dip powder and cover coat and whatever else she put on there. Mind you, still wanted a manicure. She cleaned my nails but my cuticles weren't touched. II have been coming here for years and I honestly don't know why. I arrived for my appointment today and was completely ignored by the women who were doing nothing but screaming at each other in Vietnamese. When they finally acknowledged my existence they threw me in to one of their torture chamber chairs with scalding hot water and pushed my seat up so far my knees were in my chest (just moments after I had pushed it all the way back). She cut my cuticles three different times and drew blood. Then she pulled out dawn dish soap and a dirty scrub brush to scrub my toenails. The moment she was done with her horrible work, she motioned and mumbled for me to pay and get out of the chair. They didn't even give me 30 seconds for my polish to dry and there was nobody waiting for my chair. I am so done with this place. Go to Color nails, it's right across the street. read more

So far so good. I've only been here twice but Yelpers didn't lead me astray. The price is right, the ladies are friendly and I loved my nails both times I left. They spend a good amount of time on the massage part of the pedicure, which is fantastic. I do have to be very specific about how I like my nails shaped, first salon I've been to that doesn't ask but no biggie. It's also nice to converse with some of the other patrons while here. It's not super gorgeous in here, but I never really care about that, especially if it means we get a good price. Honestly, this is the best prices I've paid in a long time. And I was not pleased with the whole nail experience. But I think it was more specific to my nail lady rather than the whole place that's why 2 stars and not 1. She didn't ask how to cut my nail, she decided to make ugly irregular squares, rather than the original round look that I love of my nails. She cut so much of my cuticles off and so roughly, including the skin around the sides of my nails, which if she had asked I would've said not to do. It hurt quite a lot because of the rough job she did, and she cut me till I bled on one finger. Also if I wanted to get fuzz or bubbles gelled into my nails, I would've just did my own nails at home. I came seeking a professional to do my nails. And 3 of my nails had bubbles or fuzz trapped in the gel. It's day 4 and my cuticles are destroyed, all peeling and growing weird and I wish I just never got my nails done. The skin around my nail looked a lot better prior to this experience. The gel polish is chipping today but I won't say it's because of this place, but rather gel just never really stays on my hands, though last time I got my nails done somewhere else, it lasted at least a solid week. I am very angry with this Nail Salon. Not only were they extremely disrespectful to my mother but they also did a terrible job. My mom got out of the hospital last night and was hoping to have a relaxing day after a long night. She decided to go up the hill to get a pedicure and manicure at K T nails. My mom was trying to ask a question about how they were cutting her nails, trying to make sure they can cut it an appropriate length so she can work properly with her nails. The woman ignored my mom and then when my mom asked a question about the color they were using the woman rose her voice and said "do you want it or not!". My poor mom just asked if they could use the color, even though it was not the color she preferred and then the woman went on to starts scrubbing the tub, with my mothers feet still in it. My mom respectfully asked if she could leave, and still paid for the service but as you can imagine I was very upset hearing about her experience. The manicurist cut my skin at the cuticle on two nails-ouch!! The worst part, she could not get the bleeding to stop! There are little things that bother me but that's just me being picky! I come here a lot. Because of price and convenience. However, this time I came in and was told it would be a few minutes and waited over 40 minutes. No, they weren't that busy. One nail tech went out to use her phone for 10 min. Now I don't get out much with a newborn and I don't get to stay out long so I was beyond frustrated. However, this is the longest I've ever had to wait. It really matters who u get here. One woman - wish I knew her name- seems to cut me every time I get her. I even got an ingrown nail from her. But Kelly is awesome as well as Dawn. There are some other good ones too but I don't know their names only their faces. The chairs are nice spa chairs but are old and torn. Caveating this review with understanding that businesses may be busier than usual with reopening after COVID and I've had decent experiences with KT nails before. That said after a long and stressful week, I called at 930am and made an appointment for a gel mani and pedi for 2pm on a Friday. I was confirmed over the phone for an appointment and cleared my work calendar to come. I'm a full time working mom of 3 so rarely get time to myself so was really looking forward to the appointment. When I arrived for my appointment time it was packed. I shared my name and that I had an appointment with Kelly, she looked around spoke with her coworkers, and everyone looked around at one another avoiding eye contact with me. She asked another lady waiting what her name was, asked me what my name was again, proceeded to finish up with another customer, then finally came over to me and said they were "stuck" and could I come back in an hour?!? Clearly appointments do not mean anything to this business. Happy to see they have lots of customers, because I will not be one that returns. read more
