    Tea leaf salad
    Cin-Yee S.

Thanks to my Rocklin bestie Cam for another great rec! This casual Burmese spot recently changed its format so that most items are in plate combinations rather than full size dishes that are generally shared family style. I saw a fiery beef tofu dish on the menu in an old Yelp post, and even though it was no longer offered, the staff asked the chef to make it for me. And it was damn good! I hope they consider adding it to the menu again. The tea leaf salad here is a must order as a starter, and then we polished off all of our dishes. Wonderful service and execution of a harder-to-find cuisine that's worth seeking out!

My wife is Burmese and said this place was authentic and legit. It probably didn't hurt that she called and ordered in Burmese lol. Had the garlic noodles which were slightly spicy with pork. It was good. Also got the fried tofu which was nice and crispy. My wife thought the samosa was okay but better with the sauce they provided. We've liked this place the best so far for Burmese food. Can't rate ambience as we DoorDashed, but will try soon.

The best Burmese food I've ever eaten. Period. First time at this establishment and they didn't disappoint. Every dish we tried was so delicious and flavorful. We're gonna have to go back to try the other dishes. A+

Loved the food and service here. Very hearty and flavorful Burmese meals. Loved the chicken curry here. I would definitely go back for this and more. The owner was really sweet to offer some ice cream for dessert:)

New Burmese restaurant, the food is decent, the coconut chicken curry needs to be less watery. The fried veggie platter needs to represent what the picture is advertised on the menu. The two noodles are flavorful, it's a bit heavy, you will be full quick.

    Curry vegetable.

The food was extremely salty and greasy. There was no speck of tea leaf to be found in the tealeaf salad. I would give it a zero star. Do not waste your money.

Food was EXCELLENT - a delicious balance of spice and flavor - and very filling! We ordered a good variety and everything was equally delicious - fried vegetables (appetizer), chicken curry bento box, soup Mont Hym Khar, and garlic noodles w chicken. We also had the Thai tea, and it was a nice addition. Highly recommend trying this place - it is new to the area, very clean, and the service is friendly.

    Garlic Noodle with Chicken

The garlic noodles with chicken are incredible. I'm not exaggerating. I ordered them based on the server's recommendation, and I'm glad I did. The noodles have that perfect balance of savory garlic flavor without being overpowering. The chicken is cooked just right, and the whole dish has this rich, slightly sweet sauce that ties everything together. The portion size is generous. You're getting your money's worth here. What I loved: Fresh ingredients, not sitting around Actually tastes like garlic (not just garlic powder) Good texture on the noodles Fast service even though they were busy Good to know: This place is right off Lone Tree and Blue Oaks in Rocklin. Easy to get to, easy parking, and the inside is clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly and knows their menu. If you're in the area and want amazing food, this is your spot. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes. What I ordered: Garlic Noodles with Chicken

they just opened this week! :) grand opening will be on March 4th. The people who run the restaurant are incredibly kind and welcoming. it's so great to finally have a Burmese place in the Rocklin/roseville area. the Burmese bento box came with a perfectly fried samosa and the pork was falling apart from how tender it was. perfectly marinated as well. The Shan noodle was a light broth and very refreshing - I highly suggest adding the pickles they provide for a maximum savory punch. Tea leaf salad has a variety of textures to complement a tangy and flavorful punch - almost reminiscent of pesto. the Burmese milk tea is not too sweet but has a distinct flavor that is reminiscent of camellia leaves but has its own effect - a must try! there is a huge variety of food from curries to noodles to noodle soup. we went before grand opening, but the environment is soothing and is very spacious and tables look like they can accommodate large parties. the chef spoke with us and everyone on the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. very attentive and eager to help you pick out a dish is if this is your first time having Burmese food. I believe this place will be an absolutely necessary cornerstone of rocklin/roseville cuisine :)

The reviewers don't lie about this wonderful little Burmese cuisine place. Friends have told us…read moreabout it, and the reviews tell a story too. The location in Loomis is a little off the beaten path (you think you are leaving town), and in a super small strip mall. Step inside and you find a cute little family owned restaurant that will make you wonder "where did I just get transported to?"... A few tables in the front room and a second dining area to the right. It is important to note that you MUST be patient! There is only the owner running the front of house here. She is doing everything. Super friendly, and being as quick as she can to get tables cleared, people seated, orders taken and served. She does all of this with the most wonderful smile and personality. You will immediately fall in love with her. Many of the diners on this particular night already knew her and appeared to have long standing relationships with the family. We came in on a Saturday evening around 5:15pm and the floor was packed. It remained that way until around 6:30pm. I would suggest coming in later in the evening so the 'regulars' can get in and out. Ok, so now on to the food and why the Green Elephant is such a standout. Everything is super fresh, and flavorful with great depth in the sauces. We started with the tea leaf salad, and pork lumpia. Then Panang chicken and spicy garlic pepper pork and an order of rice. We love spicy food, and requested such (she has a spice scale of 1-10). Our mains were a level 7 and that was sufficient to give us good heat without compromising the flavors. She will also bring you a small dish of chili pepper oil if you want even more heat. By the time we were finished, the floor had cleared, so we know now to arrive a little later. But, return we will !!!

The owner cooks everything himself, while his wife warmly takes orders -- a beautiful, old-school partnership that instantly makes you feel welcome. The interiors are cozy and thoughtfully done, creating a calm, inviting atmosphere. The food is exquisite, clearly made with care and experience -- flavors that stay with you long after the meal. Yes, there can be long wait times, but it's absolutely worth it. This is not fast food; it's food made with heart. A place that reminds you why small, family-run restaurants are so special Highly recommended if you're in Loomis and don't mind slowing down for something truly memorable.

The food is consistently amazing and packed with flavor. The tea leaf salad is a must. Super fresh, crunchy, and unlike anything else around here. The basil chili lamb brings the perfect balance of heat and flavor, and the eggplant is cooked perfectly every time. The sesame chicken is crispy and flavorful. It and the coconut rice balanced the spiciness of the lamb and eggplant perfectly. My wife likes to wash it down with a blue moon. I believe the traditional Burmese beer is similar. Everything I've had here has been solid, and you can tell they actually care about the quality of their food. If you're looking for something different from the usual spots in Folsom, definitely give Burma Lite a try. You won't regret it.

I expected more mint flavor from a dish with mint in the name. All in all, no dish was bad, but was not really impressed by anything either. Service was good. Pretty good portions. Not somewhere I'd go out of my way for personally. However, with so many five stars reviews, definitely think you should give Burma Light a try if you're thinking about it!

The back patio seating was nice on this warm afternoon. Although I could do with out the loud techno hip hop music. I like music, and I don't mind, but not that loud. We ordered a Fiery Beef dish, a Papaya Salad, and a Pumpkin Chicken. The waitress came back and told us they were out of Pumpkin. Ok. So we went with the Mango Chicken. We wanted a little rice and were told options. She told us one option that is orange, but couldn't describe what makes it orange. Oook? Our immediate reaction to the Papaya Salad was a bit salty, but decent. Mind you we are starving. The fruit, and toast at breakfast long gone. The Fiery Beef arrived. Looked great! Again we had the same sensation of saltiness. I understand the use of fish sauce or whatever, but this was more than we care for. The Papaya Chicken was more sweet, and slightly spicy. Not the best Burmese Food, and when in this area again we wouldn't go back again as we really didn't think it was anything that good. Not sure where all the good ratings come from, but we have a good restaurant for Burmese food. It's not here!
