Five Star Friday!!! Such a cool concept. I must admit this is one of the most fun, trendy ideas going right now. It's perfect for any type of celebration...wedding receptions, graduation parties, office celebrations. My first exposure to them was as a reception favor for the guests. Each of us got to choose one to take home. They were delicious! I was hooked! They have so many flavors from which to choose. I love the red velvet...it has chocolate chips in the cake and cream cheese icing. Yum!!! There is a lemon one I really want to try next. If you just want to swing by and pick something up, they usually have a case full of options from which to choose. If you have a little time, I would suggest a pre-order so you can be sure to get what you want. You could order same day, too. When you walk into the store, the smells about knock you over. I've tried a few Nothing Bundt Cakes at events, and I'm not sure what took me so long to make it to their store. Bundtlet cakes retail for around $4, which is a phenomenal value because they are larger than a cupcake and absolutely delicious. The cake is always fresh, the frosting-to-cake ratio is just right, and the bundtlet keeps well for a few days in the fridge- if it makes it to the fridge. I've liked every flavor I've tried, but Red Velvet is my favorite, since it has chocolate chips inside the cake. The store has samples out to try and rotates seasonal flavors. Nothing Bundt Cakes also does larger cakes and custom orders for parties. The store's staff members are polite and pleasant. They greet you when you walk in, ask if you have any questions, and package orders up nicely- complete with a spoon and napkins in case you dig into your bundtlet on the way home. Working in a medical office it's not unusual to find delicious sundries dropped off in our break room from vendors saying thank you for sharing our business with them. This is how I tripped over the best kept dessert secret in town. It was a stunning chocolate bundt cake beautifully glazed with not-to-sweet drippings of white frosting. Because I've always been one of those people who likes to make things from scratch and share old family favorite recipes, I didn't expect much. Well, was I surprised. It was so moist and so deliciously chocolate, without being too sweet. I was shocked. I had a special event coming up in my family, and since it was a surprise I was going to be out of the house just before my guests would arrive. It made sense to get some help from a couple of my favorite food purveyors in Charleston. I was reluctant to just go on line and order, so I made a visit to the local Mt. Pleasant location. I had never heard of them until a friend gifted me three cakes when I had my daughter. Holy cow, I was missing out! Each one was absolutely delicious. They weren't too rich and the flavors were spot on. I liked them so much that I had them provide a ton of bundtini cakes for my husband's birthday party. I was able to customize which flavors I wanted and how they were decorated. I went with the standard birthday decorations of little hats and balloons on toothpicks stuck in each one. I got a three tiered cake, one that has the little bundlets. I had heard great things. They were super helpful in that I accidentally put in the following day for the mini cakes. I live in West Ashley and was at the shop (in Mt. Pleasant) and they were still able to put it together thankfully, bows and all. I tried one of the samples in the shop of the raspberry lemon and oh my... it was SO good. I'm excited to try more of these flavors in the future. Their little cakes are sooo moist and delicious. I was worried that they would be dry, but they weren't at all. We ordered the Carrot, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Lemon, Red Velvet, and Confetti. The overall consensus was that the Chocolate Chocolate Chip was the very best one followed by the Red Velvet. These cakes are seriously TO DIE FOR and worth every penny! I'm not a chocolate lover at all and their Chocolate chocolate chip is my absolute favorite of all time! Nothing "Bundt" a Miracle I tell you. Okay so it was graduation season and I had one job! The deserts. Of course, I got this! Piece a cake, right? Uh. No. Apparently not. She quickly got her staff to get the cake flavor I wanted, had the icing/decor applied and then she came up with 24 assorted bundtinis half with cap/gown flags and the other half with "congratulations" flags even though she had no extra on hand because these are special order items. Didn't I say it was nothing "bundt" a miracle? Ultimately, everything turned out PERFECT! In fact, these were a HUGE hit with my entire family AND my nephew refused to share his cake with anyone. Not one slice. He absolutely loved it! I can't thank them enough because yeah, the cake is good - well better than good, it's great! However, the customer service I received was beyond exceptional especially when compared to what most of us consumers receive in today's market. This is a very cute shop. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile and was offered samples. I tried the White White Chocolate flavor and was very impressed by how moist and tasty it was. I soon made my way to the counter and chose the Red Velvet Bundtlet to go. This flavor did not disappoint either. It was just as moist and had a nice sweetness without being cloying. The cake was topped with their signature cream cheese frosting and had just enough frosting to have some with every bite without it being over powering. Literally sooo good! Literally the best! I love how they do pop up shops and they serve mini cakes so you don't have to invest in a big cake if you just have a small sweet tooth! They are a bundt cake only place. You can get 10in, 8in, or little "bundtlets" (think large cupcake). They have a display case with a selection of bundtlets, and large ordering selection.
