Parking: there's a garage you can park in, fully validated for (I believe) 4 hours if you eat there. But it is SO tight, not the parking spaces, but driving through the structure, it's the worse if you have a big car. Service: horrible. We had a reservation called in the day prior for 6pm, ok- we arrived 5 minutes late, but it was pretty empty inside, yet the lady was dawdling around trying to figure out where to put us- a tiny party of 4 with a high chair. There is no reason they should NOT be ready for us. In the beginning the waitress was nice, but at the end she rudely gave us attitude when we were only double checking the check (prior reviews mentioned them charging the wrong amount people). One good thing was the amount of space between tables. Food: Horrible- with a capital H and underlined if I could. The pumpkin was dry, one of the chicken dishes was also dry and tough. Either over cooked or sitting there waaaay too long. The prime rib I heard was good, they give giant pieces too. I would NOT call that a fish taco bar, it was preprepared, sitting on the counter- I would've expected to be able to go in there and make it to my liking. They called it a seafood buffet on Saturday, I would've expected there to be more options, but there was only 5 things- lobster bisque, crab legs, fish taco, IMITATION crab salad (I kinda expected it to be real crab, hello), and peel-them-yourself cold shrimp at the salad bar. The rest of the food is mediocre at best. Desserts were... sooo unimpressive. The flan was the best out of them. Why serve plain chocolate cake? Giant cupcakes? You can get that anywhere. Their fake fruit (cherry maybe?) syrup on some of the desserts was absolutely disgusting. One of the biggest irritating points- there's NO LABELS! What am I eating? Oh idk, lemme take a bite first and see. They're lucky they didn't get sued yet for a food allergy or something. Am I disappointed? Yes. For the amount they charged us? (it was discounted too because we had a voucher). Even bigger YES. Would I come back? Hell no, unless maybe if it was a $10 buffet. Pretty solid dinner buffet. We went on the weekend and they had prime rib and snow crab legs. The prime rib was a bit bland but the crab was tasty and I ate it all nite long. I had mixed feelings about how many stars to give. I was eager to try this new restaurant which is so close to home. It was featured in the paper last Wednesday. I wanted the fresh catch of the day, a swordfish​ steamed chines style, but it came with no side dishes and there were no side dishes on the menu to order. I ordered the blackened New Zealand salmon on matcha rice and Chinese broccoli. That sounds healthy, but it came with a big dollup of Sour cream on top. Not sure what that was for. So I scraped it off. The Salmon was cooked perfectly. The skin was crunchy. The matcha rice was tasty. The brocolini was nothing special. There was a nice sweet citrus sauce that went well with the dish. I came late after the dinner crowd. The place was nearly empty but the service was slow. Thanks to Yelp when I checked in I got a 25%discount. I would go again. There are a few more dishes I want to try. The best part is they offer flights of bourbon! Sorry no photos. A solid, breakfast buffet! For starters, the Marriott gave us 7 free breakfast vouchers here do to my Marriott rewards status. Instead of paying for breakfast on a daily basis I could come down here. At $22 pp I would have been disappointed, but for a free buffet it was def good. For starters, there's a random line to get in on occasion. Why, I do not know. Essentially there's one hostess who takes everyone to their seats, and lets just say she's not in a hurry. The lines are because of her aloha tempo, not for a lack of open tables. You could be the second or third person in line and see 20 empty tables, but you must wait. Ugh! My wife & I requested outdoor seating every time and never had an issue sitting out there. Outdoor seating is a catch 22. One would think that outdoor seating directly across from an unobstructed beach would be a visual home run... wrong. You are actually about 6 or 7 steps below the sidewalk level, so the only thing you see is the nice asian lady handing out pink flyers for her bus tours, newspaper bins, passerbys and the occasional street peddler. Regardless, you're still outside, which is much better than being indoors. As for the food, THE OMELET GUY RICKY(or maybe it was Rich or Fred) was incredible. Easily the best omelet cook I have ever seen. He engaged all the customers, flipped the eggs around, and made a mean omelet. More than that, he was chock full of good info; telling us about things to do, showing me about the coconut syrup w. pineapples as a topping for the waffles, etc. The guy is an asset to that place. The other cooked items were good. Great bacon, good home fries, bread pudding, etc. I never ventured into the asian food section, as miso for breakfast isnt too appealing to me. Maybe for lunch? I did like the inclusion of siraccha & the sweet chili sauce as sauces for my fries & eggs. The servers were a mixed bag. Some were attentive & some mia. A few of the really good ones brought us to go cups with fresh coffee when we were leaving and were attentive with water refills. All in all, for a free breakfast buffet it was great. Gluten free dining is not easy, but this buffet is a winner. I explained to the waitress that I had a wheat allergy, and I just wanted to see what was on the buffet before deciding to eat the buffet or order off the menu. They had the chef come out and walk me through the buffet to explain which foods were gluten free. There were a lot of options, but since I couldn't have some of the main entree's, he made special for me a chicken breast and fresh grilled fish...this is in addition to the other items I could eat on the buffet... Yummy food....And even better if you're not gluten free. what a sad sad dinner buffet. save your money and go elsewhere. there was only light one vegetarian option and it was a side dish of wilted green beans. my dad and sister walked out because they didn't have a good spread either. the breakfast was slightly better, but the only thing that I ate was yogurt with granola, cereal and fruit. $15? I think not. I ended up just going to Safeway and buying bagels, creamcheese, and breakfast bars. $20 is not bad considering many other restaurants with easily charge you that for an entree. So nice starting out days with such a good breakfast. The real reason this place deserves Five stars though is the friendly service. Chuck at the omelet bar was so kind. Probably one of the worst buffets I've ever been to. First off, this place is extremely hard to find. You have to take an elevator and travel across a terrace to get there. Second off, it's pricey! We went there and asked the hostess what time they close, she said 10 so we had about an hour to dine. We went inside and it was completely empty. If we knew it was so empty, we wouldn't have agreed to dine. Even though it was empty, the hostess still sat us away from the food and near the door. Doesn't make sense for us to have to get up and travel... Food: fried rice, coconut flavored potatoes, pork adobo, beef teriyaki, grilled chicken, salad bar, 1 type of soup, fruits Desserts: creme brûlée (without the burnt crispy topping), fruit tarts, jello, flan, a few different cakes (which were extremely dry) Poke station: ehhhh not the freshest I've tasted, but not the worst. I went here with my family on a recommendation from my Mom's Uber driver. He certainly steered her in the right direction, in more ways than one. The all you can eat crab was delicious and was always stocked. The prime rib was on point and they also pan sear the slice for you if you're not a fan of blood. The best part about the whole dining experience was our server, Dean. He was the ultimate host. Cleared finished plates 8 at a time. Tentative to all our needs even when we didn't know we needed it. What can I say? The staff is wonderful, the food is excellent and the price is very affordable. My family and I went there on three different theme nights and we loved all of them. On Tuesday night the special was the poke bar. Of course they offered the prime rib, and other entrees. Wednesday night was Mexican Night and Thursday was the Ice Cream bar. The dessert station was tremendous and my favorites were the warm bread pudding and crème brulee. You can't get better quality of service for the price at Kuhio Beach Grill. read more

This is the least expensive dining option at the Waikiki Beach Marriott. We ate here for breakfast and dinner each day during our stay. Breakfast is a nice buffet with an omelet bar and waffle maker available each morning. The buffet was fresh and hot with plenty of fruit and pastries to choose from. Dinner was also buffet and best of all they had daily drink specials, although in very small glasses. The food was good, nothing spectacular, but the service can't be beat. For dinner they have a good selection and we came in when they were serving the prime rib and crab yumm.. This review is for the weekend crab & prime rib dinner only Not worth the price. $35 per person for snow crab and prime rib buffet. Luckily we had the Entertainment Coupon which was $25 off so our bill was about $47 after tax, not including tip. I wouldn't come here again for that buffet. Snow Crab - hot, which was good but there was hardly any meat and it was kind of dried out. Prime Rib - nicely seasoned and the au jus was good but nothing spectacular. Hot selections - nothing very appetizing, the chinese style beef was pretty good but the chicken was pretty awful and the other selections were just rice and steamed veggies. Like i said, not worth $35. Salad bar - very nice and fresh with shrimp cocktail, dried fish and pasta salads Soup - this was my favorite of the night. It was a seafood bisque - so rich and flavorful I had 2 bowls. Dessert - I liked the individual plated portions, that was pretty and the what looked like an apple tart turned out to banana which was really good. Not everything was labeled though, so I ended up not taking things because I didn't want to waste it. If you want crab legs, don't come here.
