I gave them a good review about a month ago but last week I had problems with the installed smoke alarms. I asked them if they could come over and check out the batteries since they started flashing and chirping. They said since I supplied my own alarms that they would have to charge me $175 for the follow up. I was shocked! It's not like we were dying to spend several thousand on a new system, since the old one (1970's?) was still working fine. But we were advised of safety issues and home resale problems. I have used KES (Kuhlman Electrical Services) twice and they are the most knowledgeable, neat, courteous and helpful electricians I've ever used. The first time I used their services I was having a hard time with several appliances and electronics malfunctioning in a totally random way. I suspected that it was something related to the electricity itself, affecting so many equipment in different locations, and I called the electrical company (provider) and tried to have their assistance but they were of little or no help. KES' electricians came in and they tested everything that they could and without giving up, they pinpointed a faulty (probably rusty) connection at the neutral wire coming from the pole. They contacted the electrical company and stayed there until they fixed the contact clamps on the pole. Since then, I never had any problems again with my appliances, computers and electronics. The second time, they upgraded my electrical service, from 60 Amps to a 200 Amps, giving me plenty of power and room in the main panel for all the new needed circuits, as we were renovating. Their price was absolutely competitive and they were so neat: no mess left behind! I'm very satisfied with them and I'd highly recommend them to all my friends and family. This review is a little late. We used Jesse's company back in 2016 to install a few new fixtures and replace old outlets and maybe a couple other small things. What I remember was that Jesse was prompt to reply to my request for a quote. He showed up and was thorough and professional in his estimate.
