ahhh, wanted to love this place so badly- and i'm sure after some time passes, it will develop into something really great. It's brand new, and I assume most places need a bit to get their footing and really nail everything, so I have high hopes for this in the future! The menu does not list what is cooked, or raw, and this can be an issue at a KBBQ, because we were under the assumption all the meat we ordered would be something we cooked ourselves. Meat had no seasoning, which wouldn't be an issue if salt and pepper was accessible to each table, but we were sat at one that did not have any. Their sauces they bring out are really, really good though. The brisket is really nice quality as well. The bulgogi was already cooked, and tasted more of hibatchi than any korean bulgogi or korean dish i'd ever had before. It was kind of disappointing for bulgogi standard, but didn't taste bad. Sadly, the biggest disappointment was the kimchi. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it didn't taste like any kimchi I had before, and almost had a plasticky taste and texture. As a first timer...it was a good experience. I would have liked more help in best way to prepare my food and knowing that the BBQ doesn't come with anything except white rice. It would be great if they even gave you half the meet and allowed you to get a combo of meat to bbq. Drinks from bar...MEH! I had Lemon Drop and Mai Tai...drank both and just MEH! I just felt like things were missing in the BBQ experience. My guy had the Chicken Bulgogi and loved it prepared from kitchen. To not be just like another Asian restaurant and to be the only Korean BBQ in NWI...work on the experience that diners can have and make it special! In addition to Pork Belly, I had the Cuttiefish/Calamari...it was good but not having names on the sauces to cook with my first attempt was bland, recooked with sauces and it helped. read more

Never again. Over priced for nothing at all. The meat.. we ordered short rib and rib eye.. not sure what that was but it definitely was not great. They oil the skillet Once. One napkin. No water. Provided no seasoning but salt & pepper. Had to ask for garlic they brought a pair of scissors and garlic gloves. beef was not tender needed a knife received a butter knife. Now I'll say their glass noodles were pretty good.. but DEFINITELY NOT Worth the price. We've done Korean BBQ and this by far is Terrible experience if you're a 1st timer. Our waiter was nice but wasn't very attentive. They weren't busy enough for that kind of service. My boyfriend and I just stopped by this place tonight for the first time. It was exceptional. We started w the veggie dumplings which were great. I got the bibimbap and he got the yuk gae jang and they were both very delicious. They came with a bowl of broth noodle soup and a set of side dishes like kimchi, sweet corn, pickled radishes, etc. I was so surprised with the amount of food for the price; very affordable. They also had a grilled bbq selection/option that we will definitely be trying next time. The vibe was great and it was very clean and chic on the inside. One of the best parts was our server Eddie, he was so kind and helpful explaining the menu as it was our first time eating Korean food much less being there. This place is awesome! You get to cook your own food on the grill! The staff is super attentive and awesome! It is super delicious! The fried dumplings were incredible! The meat was marinated in something delicious. The sauces were perfect. And the good day vodka drinks are one of my new favorite things I can't believe I have lived this long without. Absolutely amazing. My boyfriend & I went about a month & a half ago for his birthday & all everything was amazing. Very clean & the lay out was really nice. Staff was all very friendly & attentive. The portions were very large & easily shareable. Not to mention the quality of everything. We had our meat selection brought to us to cook ourselves but the sides we got from the kitchen were out of this world. & the price is pretty decent considering not only the amount of food you're getting but also the quality. So I randomly drove by this place after round of golf and decided to stop in and grab some food to go. I ordered the pork belly, garlic shrimp and seafood pancake. It came to roughly 60 bucks which is pretty expensive for northwest Indiana. The seafood pancake was really and I would go back just for that. The atmosphere seemed pretty fun with several families enjoying conversation and grilling up their meals. I will definitely be back with my family to partake in the grilling. read more

I can't believe it took my husband and I so long to try this place!! It was AMAZING!!! From the nice atmosphere and excellent service (thanks Lindsey!) to the DELICIOUS food and fun experience, it was the perfect evening!! We ordered the special BBQ which consisted of a mix of steak, chicken and shrimp served with soup, fried rice and plenty of sides. We did not need the additional spring rolls since we had SO much food, but they were fantastic!! We ended up taking home another meal, but we had to force ourselves to stop because the food was so good. We split one bottle of soju and that is all we needed to complement the entire meal. Finally! And authentic Korean BBQ in NWI. Well, as authentic as they can. All the dishes we had were tasty, but fell a little flat in the flavor areas as others. The Banchan selection was good, but missing some of the traditional ones like the spinach, bean sprouts, and even the little anchovies. We do think though that maybe some of these maybe a little to exotic or look unappealing to the demographic so we total get it, but it would be nice as an option. Three of us enjoyed the Bibimbap, Beef Bulgogi, and the little guy had the orange chicken. Bibimbap was just lacking a little and the egg was over done, and the rice didn't get to develop that nice crunch in the bottom because the bowl just didn't seem hit enough. But it was still tasty since we ate the entire thing and the Gochujang was just hot enough. Bulgogi definitely needed more of that flavor! And although not a traditional Korean dish, I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the orange chicken was! It wasn't a weird neon color and actually had a perfect orange flavor, little but if sweet in a nice sauce over some super tasty perfectly fried chicken. Our waitress forgot a few things, but she was nice. The restaurant is new but they did a great job with the remodel and interior and it was clean and orderly. read more

Servers are great but the cooks need some work. I just returned home from California and when I see Korean bbq I am use to cooking everything my self and spending about $20 for unlimited choices. Here prepare to spend about $27 per plate to grill your own food. Normal meals are very bland but the best thing they have is the fried rice. I'd have their fried rice any day! read more

This was the most devastating experience I have had while dining out. I was apart of a big group celebrating my friends farewell party and was extremely disappointed after the service we were given. When we first arrived they would not acknowledge that we had made reservations. The owner was very short and rude about the whole ordeal from the start of our visit to the finish. Once seated it took quite some time for any server to acknowledge our presence. While eating there was a lack of attentiveness on the part of the waitress. After disappearing over a half hour we had to ask if our server had gone home for the day due to the extreme level of neglect. In general, I feel that the customer service and food was subpar. An automatic 20% gratuity should not mean you sacrifice your level of customer service. read more

This place has a LONG WAY TO GO! After waiting 30 mins to be seated, then 20 mins for drinks (and I mean water) which was AFTER I got up and complained that no one has been to our table to at least ask us that, it took another 10 mins for a waiter to be assigned just to find out that we were given the wrong menu! I'm going to SKIP other details of things that went wrong and get to the sanitation component. When you are an establishment that brings raw meet to your table because that's the style of the meal, there are certain precautions that you do and should be taught about food placement especially when you have other cooked food being served and cold food like the plate of romaine lettuce that they refer to as salad! I will say that the only thing that even partially made me sit through the meal because I seriously contemplated leaving was our waiter who really I believe did his absolute BEST to keep a positive attitude and really tried to salvage the experience. I can't honestly say his efforts were successful because he has some areas of improvement but the fact he was handling the majority of the tables alone and was still apologetic and tried gave me a little bit of comfort. The food was just okay to top it off so I doubt I would return in the future. read more

This was the best meal I have had at a restaurant in a really long time, especially in NWI. We ordered the combo # 2 for two to three people, which included the beef bulgogi, korean short ribs, and shrimp. The meal also came with soup for the table, choice of app, six small korean side dishes, rice, and smores for dessert cooked over the table top grill. The service was excellent and fairly quick. My four year old enjoyed the food and servers were great with her. My daughter gives the place ten stars. As with Korean BBQ, it is a cool experience having the ability to watch your food cooked in front of you. This is definitely going to be in my top rotation of restaurants for the area. They even have a lunch special, which I think was a bit more reasonable, but overall totally worth the money. read more
