The fitness studio has free weights , a universal machine, a peloton and walking and a striding machine. I ve been able to go daily and the average is 1-3 people. Right now , i am on the Lanai, and i see two distance swimmers crossing the bay in front of us, side by side. Same Stroke. You can only get this lifestyle right here. All i hear is surf and birds.

Only 20 min walk all the way to Black Rock, the furthest beach away in the cove. Quick drive out to Highway 30. Easy, and I mean easy access to Lahaina (south) and Honolua or Kampala Bays (north). Choose if you want to shop grocery at Times or Safeway, same distance. Really perfect location. Our apartment was incredible. It didn't face the ocean but that's ok. They have some that do, or the pool. It was huge. Nicely decorated and clean. Lots of space. Two bedrooms and sofa bed. Foosball table. Beach stuff to borrow and even a wagon to haul stuff. Parking garage right there. Always found an open space. Bell hops were helpful and friendly. They got nice gym, clay tennis courts, swimming pool, hot tub, and BBQ grills. All well kept. They had two different pool locations. A good size. The views of the ocean was so beautiful and the weather was just perfection. Never got never cold. We had a queen size bed and pull out couch also the size of a queen. A dining table, full size refrigerator, sink, cooking appliance, and dinner ware. The restroom was nice. It had the shower and tub in one room and the other part of the restroom had a normal sized mirrored closet, in addition to the drawers for our clothes in the main room. I wish they had an ice machine but they had ice cube trays in the freezer. WIFI WAS GREAT. The TV aid a bit old school lol. We didn't need to reach out to the workers often but if needed we could just text them which was fantastic. Plenty of parking and I loved that this was not super crowded when we went to the pool. Prob because everyone is out and about. It's walking distance to the beach of course and a 10 minute walk for us to Whalers village. I wouldn't mind staying here again but most likely I'd try a different location just for new experiences.

When we inquired about our room and if it was correct, we were told it was and that some owners of the condos renovate the condos and they may not match the online postings exactly. We were very displeased with this and this is clearly false advertising. If I wanted a studio, I would have booked and paid for a studio. As a family, we had no privacy because of this and made the sleeping situation undesirable. We could also hear the people above us every night. At around 3am they would be up stomping around and you could hear everything. The rooms are supposed to be updated but I would not consider our room updated. There was no housekeeping. I had to call and request it but our room was only serviced once. Luckily we weren't charged, unlike other reviews I have seen. The larger pool was fine; definitely not resort style. But it could use some maintenance each day because the pool seemed dirty and not cleaned from the various people frequenting it each day. I would have given this place a one star but I gave it two stars due to: 1) the front desk staff we interacted with was very kind and helpful; truly so nice. 2) our kids enjoyed the morning hot cocoa 3) the location to the beach is nice and the beach was enjoyable 4) the walking path and proximity to local spots and hotels was convenient. Condo does not address repairs -AC filter was filthy and the AC would not cool until the filter was removed. None of my concerns were ever addressed after many text messages and calls. I spent my time calling and text messaging OWNER. Upon entering the room, we were immediately confronted with the following unsanitary and unacceptable conditions:-Heavy dust accumulation on multiple surfaces, indicating a lack of routine cleaning-What we didn't know the unit smelled musty/moldy, None of this shows on pictures. This is not the first negative review of this complex. They date back to 2012. This is an ongoing issue and all they care about is renting regardless of the condition of the units.

Our room was literally just steps from the ocean. Napili Bay is calm, clear, and perfect for beginners -- my wife even went snorkeling for the first time, and absolutely loved it. It was an extraordinary experience. If you want a peaceful, beautifully situated hotel right on one of Maui's best beaches, The Mauian is a true gem. We can't wait to return.

I knew we'd be too early to check in, but the bell desk held our bags, and they allowed us to use the pools. Ingeniously, the room (and pool towel) key is on an elastic bracelet. This was the best idea I've ever come across. No need to fumble in your wallet or purse each time!! Even if you're staying with the Hyatt Regency, you can also use the pool for the Hyatt Vacation Club (timeshare). We preferred this pool so much more than the other two pools. It was less crowded and had more seating in the shade. Once we got our room, we had a king-size partial ocean view, and it actually overlooked our favorite pool, too. A resort-view room, if it overlooked and of the manicured grounds, would be delightful. All of the animals at the hotel were such a fun addition! Watching the penguins was really fun, especially seeing the baby penguin be introduced! Lots of other cool birds are on display in the lobby/atrium, as well as many ducks and swans that roam the property. Keep in mind, although your daily resort fee "includes" some activities, some of these activities have an additional cost, such as the lei making and star observation. There's a good selection of restaurants on-site, as well as gift shops. While we wanted to do the breakfast buffet... The line gets LONNNNNNNNNNNG, so we opted for the coffee shop each morning (the chia pudding was delish!). The resort also isn't too far from whalers village, probably a 15-20 minute walk, depending on how fast you are. There's also the Kaanapali Trolley, which can take you all around Kaanapali, but it's a loop and will take approx 30 mins in the trolley. Overall, we had a great vacation. Now the bad: There are a group of people (we found out later that they own units here) who are not nice. They hang out at the pool daily, sit on the steps and talk very loudly. Then they complain to the workers if you play music near them. Our music was not loud at all and even the worker told us so and he felt bad. The workers say they play music by the pool too and it's only this group of owners who complain a lot. Oh and they give you dirty looks too. We booked our stay at The Whaler through Costco. The units they offer are managed by Aston. We…read morebooked a Premium Ocean View Studio and receive unit 915 in Tower 1. The unit was pretty well appointed but the owners must be quite tall. The toilet is really high and my feet dangled several inches off the floor while using it. The jetted tub was hard to get into and the bed was rather high too. If you are petite like me and get this unit, you will have to contact Aston to get a change, the front desk can't help you. Maybe we should have done that, but we arrived after Aston was closed for they day and once unpacked we didn't want to move the next day. Our unit did not have many electrical outlets and no USB ports. Luckily we brought along an extension cord and USB power adapters. The unit was equipped with standard plates, glasses, utensils, blender, toaster, coffee maker, stove, microwave, refrigerator with ice dispenser, and dishwasher. Kleenex, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, one package of laundry soap and plenty of bathroom towels. The grounds are well maintained, gardeners were trimming and sweeping most of the day. The lobby has hot coffee urns in the morning and delicious pineapple iced tea in the afternoons. The location is fantastic, steps away from the beach, next door to Whalers Village for shopping, right along the beach walk. We didn't use the pool but sat by it once chairs became available in the late afternoon (there were lots of chairs but even more chair hogs.) My husband did use the hot tub and reported it was quite hot. The pool area has coffee in the mornings and iced tea in the afternoons. I used the fitness center a couple of times. There were dumbbells of many weights and other great strength training equipment. There were also treadmills, ellipticals, and exercise bicycles. Water and towels were provided. Overall, we feel we made a great choice in booking The Whaler.

The condos we're cozy, clean & very well supplied. It was a perfect home away from home! We stayed for a week and prepared many of our meals at home and it had literally every kitchen or household item we needed, which was awesome! Our only complaint is that the beds were not as comfortable as we'd hoped, with just not much support. The entire property is beautiful & well maintained. We just loved this place. Our units' manager, Lonnie is also super nice and attentive! We would definitely stay here again! On a side note, my brother stayed in #309, which was a beautiful unit but he was very disappointed that there was no air conditioner, especially since his room was a higher in cost than ours. But this unit is managed by someone else. I recomend staying at Kaleialoha in general but highly recommend renting specifically from Lonnie. Thanks Lonnie!
