There are no words able to describe the beauty of this Estate. We came up here for a by appointment only tasting and was not disappointed. The setting was very intimate and personal. Not like those other conveyer belt type of commercial wineries. Our guide was not dry or snooty at all. Her was very fun and knowledgeable. The grounds were amazing. LOOK AT THE PICS I POSTED! Mr. Kuleto is a visionary when it comes to design. Lets not forget the most important thing..the wine. Each wine was absolutely amazing. From the Rose, Chardonnay, to the Cab. Each one definitely top quality. we loved everything so much we are now club members. If you are looking for something a little less commercial and a unique Napa experience, give Kuleto Estates a call.

I have only been to a handful of wineries in the Napa/St. Helena region but I have to say that Kuleto Estate is my absolute favorite. A few girlfriends and I didn't decide to come here until a week before our trip and they were very accommodating to our schedule despite their 'appointment only' policy. AMBIANCE (5+): I fell in love with the architecture and design of the place the minute we got out of the limo (warning: from the main road to the winery it's a pretty long and windy road). It is actually a fairly new venue but was built to mimic an old Italian city feel. There are two long tables set up outside for the tasting and the tour is a must. You see rolling hills of grape vines, a man-made river with a boat waiting for use, various scenic spots for photo shoots or an intimate lunch. My descriptions don't do the place any justice, so be sure to check out my photos :) But honestly, I never thought much about my future wedding venue until this place.. SERVICE (4): Service was great, although not over the top. It was our tour guide's very first time giving a tour but she was still very sweet and knowledgable. Besides our current tour group, it seemed quiet and mellow there. WINE (4): We did a wine and cheese pairing tour which was $40 a person, definitely on the pricier side compared to the other tastings we did, which did not include food. I have had wine that I loved more and liked less, but in combination with the perfect weather, beautiful scenery and great company, I was in a total state of euphoria. I did end up buying a bottle of Syrah ($40), which was a tad pricey depending on your budget. Overall it was an amazing time and an incredible gem that I'm glad to have found :)

This was without a doubt the prettiest winery we went to. The views and the property itself were just fantastic. Our visit started off on a down note, when we kept buzzing at the gate to get in and no one ever answered. Finally quite a long time later, the gate opened. Our tasting started off a half hour late because of it. They have two tastings to choose from, the "Mixed tasting" and the "Red Lovers Tasting" Each have four wines. My husband and I each chose one of them so we could try all of the wines available that day. You are given your first pour and then led around the property on a brief tour by your host. I have to reiterate again, this was by far the prettiest winery we visited of the fifteen we went to. After the short tour, you are brought back to their patio area to try the rest of the wines. I know previous reviews mention a complimentary cheese plate. That is no longer offered. The wines were good, but not our favorites from this trip. We did buy the Chardonnay, the Sangiovese, the Zinfandel and the Syrah. I do recommend visiting. You certainly won't be disappointed with the scenery.

If you're going to enjoy some wine with a spectacular view of the Napa Valley, you might as well be on a mountain top at Kuleto Estate. Certainly not easily accessible or convenient, it's worth the winding drive to the estate and you won't be disappointed by the beauty of the property or the views. Still residing in a house on the grounds, restaurateur Pat Kuleto, famed for ownership or design of well known San Francisco landmarks such as Fog City Diner, Boulevard, and McCormick & Kuleto's, owned the 700+ acre property until 2009 when he sold it to Bill Foley, known to us Las Vegans as owner of the Golden Knights. The different mountain terrain and environments allow for the growth of many varietals with the cabernet being one of the winery's signature series. After booking our $45/person tour online and making the drive through the valley and up the winding road for our 11:45 tour, we were warmly greeted and given a brief history of the estate while having a taste of the Moscato. We had a very brief but informative tour of the property, maybe a couple hundred feet up the drive to see Mr. Kuleto's house and take some photos from our elevated vantage point. Your tour concludes with a tasting paired with some cheese. The sampling included a wide variety of wines with tastes of three different cabernets which had distinct flavor profiles described well by our guide. My wife isn't a big wine drinker so I consumed her samples also. The tour takes around 75 minutes and you pay when you are finished with options to join their club or to purchase a bottle. There were no tours directly after us so we stayed and chatted with our tour mates from Germany, who also dropped a little wine knowledge on us. Get there early because you don't want to be rushing through the winding roads. I would recommend Kuleto Estate because it provides a different setting from the valley vineyards and the views really can't be beat.

    A great view

Kuleto Winery came to us as a recommendation from The Beazley House and boy we're we happy they suggested it to us. The scenery alone is worth the trip. It's a two mile trip up the side of a mountain that overlooks Napa. It's probably one of the most beautiful winery landscapes I've ever seen. Our tour guide, master of ceremonies was Aaron. He gave us a great overview of the winery and wines while we enjoyed our lunch on the overlook. We also had a great tour of the grounds. This is not a drink & dash winery. Make sure you absorb it all in. Besides the wines (which are quite good), there's plenty to see here, so plan on spending some time once you get there. Plus, be sure to say 'HI" to Pilot... the $5,000 hunting dog. We can't wait to go back again.

This is one my my favorite places to go while in the Napa valley. While you will need an actual map to get there as there is zero cell reception, I think that makes it even better. We have been here 3 times and it is always as good as we remember it. Views are the best!! And the wine is even better. This is a must go!

This is our favorite winery in the area as evidenced by our wine club membership and 6 or 7 visits. Anytime friends or relatives visit, this is a must on our tour. The wines are great and reasonably priced and the tours are fun and informative. The grounds of the winery itself are like no other in the area and breathtaking. Advice: pack a lunch if you go because they have an area where you can picnic before or after your tour that is fantastic.

What an amazing view and great wine! Wish the tour to the pool was still open, it is hot in the summer you know! Would be nice just to sit by the water and drink wine :). Tour guide Brandon was great, informative and entertaining. Everyone is very accommodating and nice. It takes a bit to get to this winery, but well worth it.

Dear friends from out of town convinced me to take a vacation day and my goodness. What a treat. This is a find in Napa Valley! This was a gem. I loved the Malbec. The Danielli. The Syrah. The Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. Lexi was a wonderful hostess and tour guide. So so happy I visited. Can't wait to return.

the gorgeous building on the property.

But dog friendly. Quality/Quantity - I had a hard time with the website making my appointment, it's a user issue as I am just not tech savvy. So I called and someone actually answered the phone and made my appointment for me, THANK you! We arrived 15 mins early, so we hung out in the lobby reading all the history, etc. Then Skip took us to the best view overlooking the vineyard for our tasting; see pictures! We sampled almost ALL the reds! All of which were good. See pictures. I like the fact that we did side by side tastings of many of his wines. My favorites were the 2022 Primitivo and 2021 Malbec, which we bought a few bottles of. Ambiance - Secluded private winery. Close to main Downtown Napa, but far enough away for privacy and a feeling of being far away. Appointment only, so very private and customer focused. Typically no more than 3 parties at a time. Today was considered a very busy day as there were 4 parties including us, lol. Gated private estate. 200 acres. Plenty of parking, especially since hosting only 3 guests at a time. Events - See their website. Well behaved dogs are allowed outdoors. Service - Skip is a history buff and we both talked for hours... After leaving, well really the next day (LOL), I realized that our tasting was supposed to be only 60 minutes. I guess because we got along so well, we stayed until closing! And he gave me a glass with a generous splash and let us walk the property alone after they left! So welcoming and trusting. Price - Depends on which tasting and what you buy; see their website for prices. Tastings range from $50 to $100 per person. One free designated driver allowed. Tasting fees waived with wine equivalent purchases. Hike tours $75 per person ($60 for club members). See their website for more information. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and truly special. Our wine educator, Rob Fischer, was absolutely wonderful. He was warm, knowledgeable, funny and genuinely passionate about Bouchaine. He shared the winery's rich history in such an engaging way and made our tasting feel personal rather than rehearsed. Rob was a huge part of what made our visit so memorable. We especially loved learning that Bouchaine is the oldest continuously operating winery in Carneros and sits along the southern edge of Napa Valley, overlooking the beautiful vineyards near San Pablo Bay. We were also impressed to learn about the remarkable women helping lead the winery: proprietor and president Tatiana Copeland and president and winemaker Chris Kajani. The setting is gorgeous. We relaxed on the beautiful patio, surrounded by vineyards, and enjoyed the peaceful Carneros scenery while tasting some exceptional wines. It feels tucked away from the busier parts of Napa Valley, which makes the experience even more special. Rob also told us about the new wine cave currently being built into the hillside. It sounds incredible, and we are already looking forward to returning when it is finished! Bouchaine offers everything you hope for in a Napa Valley tasting: excellent wine, fascinating history, beautiful surroundings and personal hospitality. The entire experience was stellar, beginning with a welcome glass of Vin Gris, which counts as one of the five wines in the tasting. What truly elevated our visit was Dulce, our hostess, who has more than 20 years of wine experience. She described each wine with such knowledge and detail that we were able to choose wines we genuinely enjoyed. But it was more than expertise. She shared her knowledge and passion so freely and with such heart that she made the afternoon feel special. Dulce is truly a gift to Bouchaine. The hospitality began even before we arrived. When we realized we didn't need as much time between wineries, we called and asked whether we could move our 3:30 tasting to 2:30. They accommodated us with grace. We ended up staying more than 2 1/2 hours and never once felt hurried. I especially appreciated the generous spacing between the seating areas, which gave each group privacy and made the tasting feel peaceful rather than crowded. The grounds were lovely, with purple agapanthus and black-eyed Susans blooming against the vineyards and mountains. Even the modern wood architecture--from the tasting room and offices to the beautifully designed bathroom--made us feel as though we were somewhere thoughtfully created and genuinely special. Every member of the staff we encountered was warm and welcoming. Some wineries you visit once because you're curious to experience them. Bouchaine is the kind of place I would return to simply because of how wonderful it felt to be there. Although I would definitely be getting the Gewurztraminer, Merlot, and Pinot Noirs again too.

My husband and I were able to call ahead and schedule a very last-minute tasting, and from the very beginning, the hospitality was exceptional. I work in the wine industry on the retail side in Texas, while my husband does not, so creating an experience that feels both educational and approachable for both of us is not always easy. Steve absolutely nailed it. He welcomed us warmly, shared thoughtful stories about the wines and the winery, and made the experience feel incredibly personal. The tasting room itself is beautiful and feels like a hidden gem in Napa. We especially loved learning about the wines and the woman winemaker behind Levendi. The tasting was stunning from start to finish. What truly sets Levendi apart, though, is the level of hospitality. Since our visit, I have referred many of my favorite clients to Levendi, and Steve consistently goes above and beyond for them. He bends over backwards to make sure my customers are taken care of, and every single person I've sent has come back raving about their experience. At this point, a trip to Napa would not feel complete without a stop at Levendi. I honestly cannot imagine Napa without Levendi -- or Steve. If it's your first visit, do yourself a favor and try the Stagecoach. You won't be sorry.

We were able to grab a spot on the lovely front patio, which ended up being perfect. Patrick, the GM, also came over and chatted with us for a while about all sorts of things. He is such a lovely person - bright, personable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. You can tell he really cares about the experience people have here, and he does it so well. The charcuterie board was incredibly generous and absolutely delicious! I had a glass of bubbles, and my husband had one of the Cabs, which was SO good. Next time, I'll definitely make a reservation for the rooftop since I hear it books up quickly. I also really want to come back for one of their wax-dipping classes - it sounds like such a fun experience, and you can find the details on their website. Such a great little find with wonderful food, drinks, atmosphere, and genuinely kind people. We'll definitely be back! Hopefully sooner than later :)

Romeo holds a special place in our hearts because we visited them a little over seven years ago. During that experience (which you can read about in my previous review - if interested), my wife and I had a grand experience with former Business Manager Emma, who administered the delicious tastings. Fast forward to the present, we looked forward to enjoying a glass of their finest red before finding lunch. Upon entering the walkway, we were enthusiastically greeted by an employee named John who quickly ushered us to a vacant table for two. My wife had a slight reaction to the beautiful flowers that were in full bloom. Out of the kindness of his heart, John provided my wife with a bottle of Pure Leaf tea that calmed her allergies. We told John that we were interested in enjoying a glass of red, in which he quickly ran off and returned with a bottle of 2009 Eugenia Cabernet Sauvignon. Upon doing the swirl and sniff test (sounds dirty doesn't it?), I knew that we were in for a treat. Since we were both in dire need of a meal, we sadly could not continue the party. However, we will make a return visit in the near future to enjoy a full tasting experience!
