Great food and service! Very delicious tonkotsu ramen and spicy miso ramen! It was great to support a small family business.

Had the pork, tofu, and seafood ramen. Recommended in that order. Plan on trying the udon in the future. Service was friendly and fast.

I have been so patient with waiting for the opportunity to finally try this ramen place! They opened up and by the time I had the chance to go they were temporarily closed. Needless to say I am very excited that they are finally open again! If you live in the 4 corners area of Frisco, Allen, McKinney, Plano you know that there's slim pickin's of GOOD ramen places around. I promise you that this one is so worth it!!! I placed an online order for take out and it said "ready in 20 min." I kid you not I walked into the building right at the 20 minute mark and the man was stapleing the bag to my order closed. Talk about precise! The man working told me that there weren't any bean sprouts in my ramen order because so they weren't fresh, to compensate he gave me an entire order of 4 veggie rolls. What?! Love that level of customer service! Plus, I was debating on even getting the veg rolls and now I'll always order them because they are delicious! Sushi was always amazing and the ramen was so good! The only adjustment I'll make to it next time is to ask for my miso veg ramen it a little spicy. My husbands spicy ramen was PLENTY spicy enough. He loved it!!! Hostess was amazing! Great service from the staff. Food was mediocre but the downside of this restaurant is they charge you for everything. Want hot sauce, pay up. Want to switch avocado for corn pay up. Also they charge you $2 for half an egg which I think is slightly absurd. I will say, I've never been to such a ramen shop. Toppings are easy to switch out because it is simply put on top of the ramen but the owners will not accommodate. You might want to look at the menu before hand because if you have a food allergy and need to switch something out they will charge you. Like I said workers are amazing but owners seem petty. We decided to try this place out unknowing it was only just opened. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I had the spicy ramen. Perfect amount of heat for me. The soup was very flavorful and I would definitely order it again. He had the miso ramen and said it was excellent. Will come back to try other items on the menu. read more

While I have never had proper ramen, I was blown away by how good this place was. Our server was super polite and answered all of our questions. We had a dumpling appetizer and it was delicious! My wife had the Tonkotsu ramen which had grat flavor and perfect pork belly. I had the spicy ramen and added 3 jumbo shrimp mild heat. The heat was fairly mild and next time I am going to bump it up just a little. We will definitely be going back! read more

BEWARE... They will over charge you and can't explain why and will be rude about it. I tried to place my order online, but their system wasn't work, so I called it in. I ordered the Heart Attack $8.50, 3 Tonkotsu Ramen 12.49 each (2 w/ chili oil $1.00 each) total showing online and the calculator $51.92. 1st the guy told me the total was $54.92, I let him know that's not the same total I have online, so he puts this lady on the phone. I gave her my order again and she then tells me the total is $54.92. I explained to her that's not correct, she then tells me the prices online are different so she gave me the price of each item (which are the same prices online.) After trying to explain it a few times, she hangs up on me and would not answer the phone. I will NEVER return to this place, I will not spend my money at any establishment that will scam (any amount) of money and then be rude about it. The staff were so nice! The food came out fairly quickly. I enjoyed it a lot there was a lot of spice in mine which made it more flavorful. It was also decently priced. Everything tasted so good. Definitely will be coming back for more ramen. read more

So happy that we have a new ramen shop open in McKinney. According to their website Kuma Ramen prides itself in their ramen broth that has been prepared for over 8 hours, so of course we had to try it out. My family ate there for lunch and their ramen is legit. We recommend the Spicy Ramen and Shoyu Ramen, the ramen broth were both very flavorful and the noodles had the right bite. We ordered take out from them last night. The staff was really nice and our order was correct. We got the chicken karage, seaweed salad, Takoyaki, miso Ramen and tonkatsu Ramen. Unfortunately the food was just okay. The chicken was dry and overcooked and the takoyaki only had one piece of octopus per ball. The seaweed salad was a generous portion especially for an appetitzer. Unfortunately the Ramen broth wasn't very flavorful and the chasu was more fat than meat. However the egg was cooked perfectly which is rare for a Ramen restaurant. So even though the service was wonderful the food was only average. read more

First the good: seafood ramen is very flavorful, super great taste! Wish it had a bit more stuff in it but ramen is known for the broth and this had awesome broth. It didn't come spicy by default and the kitchen was flexible and added some chili oil. Really appreciate that. Now the area for improvement: appetizers should come at the start of the meal and not when you're done with the meal. Please get that right. read more

I am giving Kuma 4 stars for service but I would give 5 for the food taste. I had veggie egg rolls(on the house) spicy tuna sushi and Spicy Miso ramen. The ramen portion was hefty, enough for two meals. I just recommend getting an extra order or noodles for all of the broth. To clarify, the 4 stars is due to me placing an order online and being told it would take 20-25 mins. I waited outside of the restaurant with my small baby and when I came in to check the status of the order, they hadn't even started on it! I was understanding--maybe a system glitch. But then I ordered my ramen without the black fungus (mushrooms) because I am allergic. Well low and behold I am watching them make it and I see the black fungus put in my bowl. When I inquired if that was my order he said yes and I reminded him that I asked for no fungus. When he reported this to the cook, the cook proceeded to remove the black fungus but it had already touched the other items for my ramen. THANK GOD I SAW it being put in Bc I told him I was allergic so it would need to be remade. I am pretty unhappy about the quick cover up they tried by simply removing an ingredient I requested not be added. Had I not seen it with my own eyes, my allergic reaction could have been bad. Needless to say I waited almost an HOUR for a 20-25 minute order. I was exhausted by the ordeal and my little one was ready to get home. They threw in veggie egg rolls on the house wish I appreciate. But if you have allergies just beware--SPECIFY so they can take it seriously and not do a rush job. read more
