My family usually orders out but decided to dine in today. We had dumplings, ramen soup, bento box, chicken teriyaki and rolls. All were outstanding, fresh, and reasonably priced. Will definitely return again and again! Amazing ramen soup. We tried with shrimp, chicken and pork-all delish!! Chicken teriyaki was one of the best we ever had! Oh and it's BYOB!

My clients wanted this spot for lunch and ordered the hot and spicy lo mein. KIM, they had lunch specials as well. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in, and the spot was nice. The lady finished her call and took my payment. The food was almost done, and she then brought it out, and I left. When I dug in, the food was ok. It wasn't as spicy, and it needed a little more salt. All in all, I had an ok experience.

I came here earlier this week for dinner and it was nice. Had come in when there was just one other table and the waitress was kind. The place was nicely lit, a nice dim lighting perfect for a good sushi dinner with friends. I got a special roll with tuna and spicy salmon and it tasted very good and filling.

Limited options for vegetarians; there were items for veggies but not the best veggie sushi I've had. The sweet potato rolls were massive and very filling. The restaurant itself is nice, decent ambiance and friendly service. It's mainly regular Ridgewood street parking. Perhaps their other sushi items are more promising but nothing much for the herbivores.

This past evening, I went to Kumo sushi in Ridgewood, NJ. It was as delicious and as good as I had hoped. The server, Emma, was a pleasure! Tried 3 rolls which were all so good . Connection Roll, Mayflower Roll and the Sexy Girl Roll. Can't wait to go back again for more!

Food was subpar. Rolls soaked in sauce. Fish not fresh. Udon was makeshift. Don't recommend for Japanese at all.

A Hidden Gem You Can't Miss!…read more I stumbled upon this adorable local café by accident, and I'm so glad I did. It's a truly special spot that feels like a breath of fresh air compared to the usual chain coffee shops. The coffee is outstanding. Their cortado and flat white are perfectly crafted and some of the best I've had. We also tried the cold matcha with a squirt of strawberry syrup, which was absolutely delicious a perfect refreshing treat. The pastries are a highlight too; they are homemade and baked fresh on a "need-to-basis," so you know everything is made with care and never sits around. What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. It is incredibly dog-friendly, which was a huge plus for us since we brought our furbaby along. He absolutely loved his "pupachino"! We were lucky enough to enjoy the beautiful weather on their outside seating area, which added to the lovely vibe. We even got to meet the owner, who was kind, warm, and welcoming, and the staff is equally friendly. It's rare to find a place with such genuine hospitality. Definitely make this your go-to spot before heading to Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts. You won't regret supporting this wonderful local business!

The lattes were enjoyable as well as the brownie cake which was decadent. Overall a good place for some slow time while being caffeinated.

Outdoor seating available, but large windows, which were open last night. We were seated promptly at a window seat and Diana came by pretty quickly to take our order. You have to try their Focaccia bread. They do a little something special that makes it so crispy outside, but fluffy and buttery on the inside. My wife ordered the "The Clam Jam" (beer-braised littlenecks, Calabrian chili, house sausage and Espelette Butter). She love the dish, as did I the one clam she allowed. I ordered the Hamachi Crudo (Organic cherry ponzu, lime, jalapeño, shiro dashi, pistachio gremolata and red onion.) This is a very fancy ceviche, with cherries and all the fixins' which I would gladly order again... My wife's entrée was the Goffle Road farm half chicken (crispy fingerling potatoes, herb butter & roast chicken jus). Gotta say, they Lula's does a great job with this chicken. I stop by Goffle Road farm and the chicken is superior to pretty much anything else, but this came out with such a light crispy skin and so juicy and tender. Excellent! My entrée was the Elite Prime Grass-Fed Coulotte steak (Pomme puree, crispy sunchokes & black garlic jus.) The steak was done to perfection and the potatoes puree were so very creamy and good. No dessert tonight... just a couple cups of coffee and a little walk around Ridgewood. Busy place! Lula is a BYO!

The hospitality was incredible. We went there for my birthday. All the staff knew it was my birthday and they also knew that I was eight months pregnant and wanted to make sure that I was comfortable. The food was exceptional. The wait staff was so nice and provided recommendations while not pushing any one dish. We got the focaccia, softshell crab, Peking duck and chicken liver for appetizers. The softshell crab was the best I've ever had, and I would come back to this restaurant for this alone. The Peking duck was juicy and tender with the most incredible slaw type salad underneath it. The focaccia with the butter was also phenomenal, the owner actually brought it out to us and we had a nice conversation with him and you can tell he just poured his heart and soul into this restaurant. The focaccia is definitely not an appetizer to be overlooked just because it is bread. While I couldn't have any of the chicken liver mousse, it looked stunning, and my husband said that it was incredible and so light and fluffy, and it was a massive portion. I look forward to when we come back when I'm not pregnant and I can eat it. For dinner I got the Arctic char, and my husband got the pork. The Arctic char was unbelievable. It was piping hot and literally just melted in my mouth with each bite and the side that came with it was a mix of asparagus, mushrooms, farro and I don't know what else, but it was fantastic if I could have that side on its own as well, I would order more. My husband's pork was crispy and delicious with another incredible slaw topping, and it was so massive he has to take home like a third of it for dessert. We had the lemon meringue tart for dessert, which was also incredible and so refreshing for a dessert. All of the food was outrageously fresh and just outstanding. This restaurant is our new favorite place and on the way out we even made a reservation for three weeks from now to come back. This is probably the best restaurant that I've eaten at in Ridgewood hands down and I'm so glad that they are in the area. The restaurant adds a new vibe with food that is so phenomenal to match. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area as a MUST try. Of course me and my husband will be going back in a few weeks and we can't wait.

This was obviously an emotional day for our family, but he and his team created exactly the right atmosphere: elegant and classy, but still warm, comfortable, and family-centered. Our group of 32 guests was able to relax, talk, laugh, remember my mother, and truly enjoy being together. The food was outstanding from start to finish. This is authentic Italian cuisine prepared with real care. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and memorable. There was not a single mediocre item served. The short ribs and branzino were particular standouts, but honestly, everything was excellent. The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. When we went through all the bread, they went across the street to a local bakery to get more. When we were short on white wine, they helped procure additional bottles. At the end of the meal, Massimo even gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne to take home as a thank you. Those kinds of gestures say a lot about the heart of a restaurant. Every person in our group raved about the experience. Osteria Sola is a hidden gem right in the middle of town, and more people need to discover it. I like that they use Goffle Road chicken and it came out nice and tender. The veggies were fresh and good quality. I also thought the portion size was perfect. I asked for the dressing on the side and the dressing came in two small cups. One seemed to be a mix of soy and oil, I think there was a bit of sesame oil too. The other was a creamy dressing. I was expecting, nutty, sweet and savory dressing, but it was kind of bland mayo like dressing. The dressing would have also benefited from acid like lime juice. While I liked the salad, the dressing was a let down, so I'm not sure if I would order that dish again, The service was wonderful, everyone was smiling and our server was attentive. I would definitely try again and next time, looking forward to trying some of their brunch/breakfast dishes.
