This is a new location and they do have a very small menu, but boy does it pack on a lot of flavorful fats. Please be mindful, that this is an Afghan Middle Eastern restaurant. Not all Middle Eastern food are made the same, they are done in their own ways. I got the Lamb Kabab and it honestly had a balance of meat and fat on there and I literally cleaned the hell out of my plate. My coworker also got the ground beef patty and she was honestly happy with her plate. Both our plates came with a side salad and nan bread which made our food complete! I've never had Afghan food and I will say it's a lot different than other Middle Eastern food and I am so happy that I was able to try it today. Just be mindful that they are starting off, so if they don't greet you or seat your right away, just be aware that this is something new to them so be patient with them because our experience with the service eating in was perfect. I'm going to guess it was the owner that checked up on us and educated me on my food on how the Lamb Kabab is a specialty within their culture and was super happy that I got it, so that next time I can try something new. We stopped in on a whim, eager to try something new. While we were warmly interested in the cultural experience, we couldn't help but notice we were the only diners who didn't appear to share the same Middle Eastern background. That's not an issue in itself--we were excited to be there--but the service we received felt noticeably different. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged our table. I eventually had to get up and ask for menus. Several tables were served before us, and while they may have ordered ahead, the delay was concerning. It took quite a while for our order to be taken, and even longer for our food to arrive. When it finally did, one of the plates was accidentally spilled by the server, and the sauce went all over my husband. No apology was offered, and we had to remind them to bring the drinks we had ordered. I'm trying not to jump to conclusions, but observing how much more attentive the staff were to other guests does raise some questions. I swear I don't lie I never left a negative reviews, but our recent experience at Kunduz Kabab was extremely disappointing. My family and I went there for dinner and ordered 6 kababs, 1 bolani, and a Watani burger for my son. We were told the food would take about 40 minutes due to the crowd, which we understood and accepted. After waiting, the bolani was brought out, but we found hair inside it, which was very upsetting and unacceptable. I could've told the owner, but I didn't like to have an argument. I'm on the road number of a customer. When the kababs arrived, only 4 were served instead of the 6 we ordered, and they were missing the salad and hot sauce. The salad arrived very late, after we had already finished eating, which felt careless and disrespectful. To make matters worse, when I paid we discovered that we were charged for all 6 kababs, even though only 4 were provided. Also, the pieces of lamb were chopped almost bite size, not really a typical kabob size. Totally different from the chicken. The shaknee sauce was missing freshness, vinegar, & salt. The rice was good. The piece of bread is tiny. I also ordered a bolani(leek), it was good too. The bathroom needed some cleaning too. I will probably go back fir the bolani when in this area. I've given Kandiz Kabob a few chances, but unfortunately, the experience has been consistently disappointing. The biggest issue is the inconsistency--they seem to pick and choose who gets better service or fresher food, which is frustrating and unfair to paying customers. On more than one occasion, I've been told they were out of shery yahk (ice cream), only to see it served to others minutes later. Whether it's favoritism or poor communication, it leaves a bad taste. Wait times are long, and even when it's not crowded, orders take ages. If you're not a "regular" or known by the staff, expect to wait even longer while others get served first. When the food finally arrives, it's a gamble--sometimes fresh, other times old and clearly reheated. The dining area is often dirty, with tables not cleaned between customers. It's also loud and cramped, with not nearly enough seating for the number of people they try to accommodate. There's potential here--the menu has promise--but until they address the favoritism, cleanliness, and service consistency, I can't recommend it. read more

Had a few kebob places especially in Brentwood, and usually lamb is top notch at the middle eastern kebob places. I've been to turkey as well. We always wanted something that wasn't as far of a drive. This place might be it. The food is delicious, and they give you alot for one plate. I decide on two to try with my friend. I have enough probably for two to three meals. They also have other Kebob skewers, and they also give you good portions. They help me over the phone, as they ran out of a few items and gave me good recommendations. Never tried this beef patty before and it's really good. Ambience feels like a good hole in the wall. Had an early dinner with my wife on a Friday evening. We ordered bolani, mantoo, and two different meat combinations. The bolani and mantoo were very good with generous portion sizes.
