This location is super cute. I loved the decor and the vibe was really chill. There were plenty of flavor options which made it hard to choose. The cashier honor my yelp check-in reward and I tried my hand at a flavor I'd never had before. Coco Cream Tea with Bobo I believe. I didn't like it too much to be honest . It was too sweet for me , I ordered 50% sugar and it was still really sweet. I'm just not into sweet drinks . But I will definitely try again at different time with a different style drink. I go to Kung Fu Tea pretty often. Their drinks are consistent and the brown sugar wow boba is on point; it has become my standard. I find that most drinks can be 0% sweetness if that boba is in the drink, since the syrup on the boba adds some sweetness. Are a lot of the drinks good? Yes! Very tasty. Are all the drinks great? No. In fact, I've tried a bunch that I'll probably never get again. I'm also not a fan of for example the coffee popping bubbles which taste artificial. Some of the fruity drinks are too sweet even at 0% sweetness. I do appreciate that they at least try rolling out new flavors in this chain. Expensive, but it's on par with other boba places. Ordering through the app is convenient and you can get discounts and rewards with it. At this location, the staff are all generally pretty nice. The store is clean and organized. The Kung Fu Tea service is horrible. Walked in no one was in line and had to wait 15 min to get my drink. The workers were too busy eating and talking, and left my drink sitting in the back where I could not grab it. 4.8.22 I've been meaning to try the milk tea for awhile and finally made it out here this evening. Service was fast and staff was friendly. I got the taro, which is my favorite flavor. Unfortunately, I wasn't a big fan of the flavor, but I can't pinpoint the exact reason. Perhaps the flavor was mild and faint to me. My husband took a sip and said it left an aftertaste. I love the variety of tea and juices here! I got the wintermelon milk green tea with boba today. The tea was a little sweet for my taste but the boba was perfect and freshly cooked. I also didn't know that if you show a receipt showing that you ate at Bonchon (Korean fried chicken restaurant next door) the same day, you can get a free upgrade to a large size cup. The amount of times I go here should be a crime lol. No other boba place (near me) has some close to KFT, especially the Columbia location. The location is great even though it's hard to find parking sometimes. Walking into the restaurant, it's set up with group seating, which is nice if you want to sit down and enjoy some boba with a friend. There's also board games too. The staff there is usually pretty friendly and I always ask them what recommendations they have so I can try new flavors. In terms of the boba, I mean you can't go wrong with certain key flavors, especially the taro milk tea. Definitely the smallest KFT I've been to in the area, but as someone who always takes their taro to go, it didn't really matter much. They've currently got covid restrictions up to protect the working staff: no seating indoors (only a few tables anyway) and a shield and microphone at the counter. The microphone makes communication loud and clear through the screen and the masks. I've said it before, but out of all the DMV bubble tea options, I believe Kung Fu Tea does taro slush the best. Kung Fu Tea, Columbia, is up their with Tea Top, Ellicott City. I probably come here at least twice a week. Still, I never get sick of their mango green tea. Unlike the Ellicott City Kung Fu Tea, this location doesn't charge me for mango jelly in my order. And if for some reason they don't have the jelly in stock, they'll replace it for free with another topping. AS IF THAT WEREN'T AMAZING ENOUGH, if you hop over to the Bonchon next door and order anything...you can take that receipt to this Kung Fu Tea and get a free upgrade from a medium drink to large. In general, I prefer KFT's more basic/classic drinks. The punch (and misc.) selections have been hit or miss for me. I enjoy the slushes as well. If you're a matcha fan, the matcha slush is yum!! I get it w/o red bean and then add bubbles. My favorite orders are Oolong (Milk) Tea, Green Milk Tea, Honey Tea, and the Matcha Slush (w/o red bean). The interior is decent, but it often feels a bit crammed because there's not a lot of space, and it's pretty much always crowded. They have board games as usual. With C19, there is takeout. When you enter inside, there's a large glass divider between the workers and customers. It covers almost the whole area. Very full proof. read more

I love Kung Fu tea. They have the best tea and tapioca/boba in my opinion. The boba is always sweet and chewy, not like other places where it can be a weird texture. I love their tea flavors and they have lots of different things you can get like slushes and fruit teas. They classic milk tea is also delicious. This location has nice, friendly workers. The space is different than it probably usually is when I've visited (during pandemic times) so there is no seating.
