Oh goodness... the new Thai milk tea is horrible. I was excited to see the addition of it and decided to give it a try. They do have a sign that says if a drink isn't what you want, you can ask for a replacement. However, I already left. It tastes nothing like Thai tea and the aftertaste... no good. Brand new kung fu tea - finally made its way to Columbia! Similar to it's other locations there is limited seating inside, but the aesthetics are still the same and a variety of board games are available for those sipping on bubbles. Location is great since the area is beginning to truly develop and bring in a wider variety of stores and restaurants. Parking and playing frogger is a little unnerving so hopefully soon they'll incorporate a crosswalk for pedestrians. New store so everything is still clean and pristine. You can tell that the staff is still being trained and getting your to speed with getting your order and what not. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Doesn't disappoint from other locations! Hoping that it'll stay this way as it gets more business. read more

Love their boba and they made it very safe during this time with minimal contact for payment and plenty of hand sanitizers around.

My favorite drinks to order from kft are lychee punch, mango green tea, and strawberry lemonade. Their punch series is always so refreshing, especially on a hot day! They're not too sweet as you can adjust the sugar level. The bubbles here are amazing; they're chewy and they give just the right amount. The customer service is great! They always greet you as soon as you enter. With covid going on, they've taken precautions by setting up plexiglass at the cashier's window and pick up window and only allowing a maximum number of people inside at once. The drink came prefect just like how i get my drink at kung fu tea new york. out in two mins from taking my order to delivery my drink. I ask the staff how long have this store been open they said less than a week. I believed the person made my drink was the owner him self. I stay at the store for 15 mins i over hear he was recommending drinks to customers. And if the customers dont like the drink he will make another drink until they are satisfied. I never write reviews but this Kung Fu Tea location was just terrible. The place itself looked dirty, there were boxes everywhere, the lady who took our order did not really ask us how we wanted our tea and I should have turned around instead of going through with the order. Not having been to this place before, I realized after that I could have chosen the amount of sugar and ice in the drink but I was not asked how I wanted it. Even worse, after having some of the beverage I felt nauseous for the rest of the day. This store really felt like a neglected tea spot that nobody cares about. It's surprising because it's right next to a busy mall and I would have thought that it's busy and the product would be awesome. Unfortunately, not the case. read more

It should be 6 inch (I think) above the floor. Also, the customer self-serve area, very unorganized, with boxes laying there. -1) Staff using cell phone while working, and in the work area. Why cannot they just clock out and use it in the break room. Just some where not in the kitchen. I think that is -1) Can you see the kitchen towel hanging in the picture, I think that is very dirty. It should be placed in a dedicated area. -1) I ordered a hot drink with additional toppings. I would appreciate it if I was told that it will be additional X dollar to make it hot and Y dollar to add a topping. The worst, most watered down Kung Fu Tea drink I've had. I got the mango green tea and asked for no ice or boba but it turned out to be even worse than the tea with ice. Basically, it tasted like watery tea with mango jelly. Service when paying for the drink was worse than usual, and it took around 15 minutes before the tea was done. Mostly high schoolers work here and I guess they don't have much experience. I really wanted to ask for a replacement drink because it didn't taste right at all but I didn't want to deal with the unwelcoming staff. Uggggh, whoever designed this place with the counter right at the door gets a big fat "F". This place was packed and I don't get it. It took quite a while to get two drinks and the place kept getting crowded to the point there was no where to stand. There were only two people at the front, the cashier and one guy making drinks. It was the first time I tried a caramel macchiato, and it was pretty well frozen slush, not what I had expected so I threw it away. I have been here a couple times. it isnt too spacious, there are some games for you and friends. there are some street parking but it is mostly packed, but there are a lot of mall parking cross the street belonged to columbia mall. Recently, KFT has the wow milk tea series and it is amazing. If you have been to big boba tea in NYC or Cali or in Asian, one of the most popular tea is brown sugar milk tea with boba coated wit brown sugar. It is my all time favorite. The wow boba has similar taste, not as good but could be a substitute for brown sugar boba (at least they tried). You should give it a try too. Wow boba is not on the topping menu but you can ask and will put it in instead of regular boba. My fav menu is Oolong milk tea 50% sugar and wow boba. I go with less sugar since the boba is quite sweet already. I have also been to other boba places here and no where else has this brown sugar type of boba. read more

If you want boba tea this is not the place to go. The staff is rude and not at all accommodating. I drove thirty minutes in order to get my brother a single drink, but was turned away when we arrived. Everywhere that we looked stated that the store closed at ten. We arrived about ten minutes before closing time and the door was locked. We weren't let in by staff, but another customer who told us that they said they wouldn't serve anyone else. I asked the woman behind the counter to confirm that they closed at ten, which she did, and when I proceeded to ask her to take my brother's order, she refused. She insisted that they were closed even though there were customers seated inside and the closing hours were listed otherwise everywhere else. She refused to serve us and was very rude and dismissive when she did so. If you're a Kung Fu Tea fan I'd suggest avoiding this location. I think this location has to be the best location I've been to. I've frequented the Silver Spring, Towson, and College Park locations. The most recent time I came here it was probably 10 mins after it opened. I got a Taro Slush with bubbles. I will say their taro is very sweet but I like it that way. It tasted super fresh, the bubbles were still a bit warm. By the end of my drink I saw there were small bits of ice but nothing worrying. The cashier who works here is super nice. She's there every time I've been there and she's really enthusiastic. Anyway I've never had a negative experience here and I prefer this location to the previously mentioned ones. read more

First time ever trying Kung Fu Tea and I got the lychee punch. It's got a nice light lychee flavor but then a very heavy honey taste which wasn't the best. If you like a lot of bubbles this is the right place for you! It has a nice flavor but it was way too sweet for me but they do let you adjust the sweetness so I'll have to remember that for next time! I've been a long time customer of KFT, but this specific location has gotten progressively worse. I hate leaving less than great reviews, but to help others who come here. The drinks themselves are fine, but there is some work to be done overall. Three different times now I have ordered via the app to go. Once, they completely forgot the toppings we paid for, but I didn't check before I left. I'm sure if we knew and told them they would've corrected. Twice now the seal of the cup was broken spilling all over our other orders and in the bag. You would think someone would check and make sure it's okay especially if the bag is filled with liquid. It's unfortunate because there are some good favors that I've only seen at KFT and not at other bubble tea establishments, but they've messed up way too many times for me to want to come back. Again, the drinks are fine, but the service could be better and quality control overall. Also, no one ever greets you so even ordering ahead I still stand there waiting for someone to say hi just so I can give them my name to get my order. It's ready just no one there to hand to me... To future customers, just make sure your drinks are completely sealed before you leave. I hope they will take this criticism constructively and either make sure their equipment is functioning properly or provide some training to the workers. *Update- owner very quickly reached out to follow up about the experience. The staff were super friendly and the service was quick and accurate even though it was packed. Even though it was packed, there was plenty of seating and they also have board games to play if you have time to relax with some friends.
