I ordered the purple rice yogurt drink as I've been dying to try it, but sadly it did not meet my expectations. It was not sour enough, and it tasted better towards the end. I finally made the decision to visit when I started craving for some durian ice cream and remembered that this spot was local to me and it had pretty good ratings. I love that the ice creams have already been individually packaged and that it comes with spoons. You just have to take off the piece of paper inside the lid and there it is. Now, the price I know makes this place somewhat hesitant for some people, but I truly believe one can taste the quality of the ingredients. Plus with inflation, it must be so rough for everyone. It is definitely a place for a treat every once in a while. My favorite ice cream flavors have been the Pandan-Avocado, and the Coco-Ube. My friends absolutely love the Purple Rice Yogurt. I've personally not tried this so cannot comment on this. But as with food and most things, your miles may vary. One of the best things about this place is they're so kind about letting you try samples. This cannot be said about most places without feeling like the employees start getting annoyed with you after you try about 2 samples. I never felt this way with the service here. Which brings me to wanting to recognize Henry (he has wavy hair) for his phenomenal customer service skills. My friends and I have been to this shop several times, and each time if it's Henry helping us, we know he's very considerate and patient as we test out samples. He is super-detailed, so he'll ask if we want our orders for to-go, and if so, he'll make sure to pack our bags with some ice so we can drive home with the goodies. Parking is easy to find, and the place is nice, in that you can actually have conversations without shouting over loud music. This is definitely a hidden gem for ice cream and drinks. It is located in a mini plaza that was very empty but as soon as you step inside this place, the interior was just gorgeous and relaxing. It was a really cute spot and definitely very attractive. I wanted to try their ice creams but I really could not decide. Luckily, they offered samples but even when I sampled them, I was still stuck on what to get because everything was so good. You can either have it there or you can take it to go because it comes in these cute to-go containers with the wooden spoon hidden underneath the lid. I chose to go with the Coco and Ube and Lychee ice cream. It had such high-quality, you can really tell it's made differently. It was super light on the dairy since I can't tolerate it as much anymore and I didn't feel full after eating it. I also decided to get some drinks to-go, the Phoenix Reborn Oolong Milk tea and the Lotus Lychee tea. The Phoenix had such a strong and very unique flavor, it was so good and there was love put into making this for sure. The lychee tea even came with actual lychees in it. I would prefer the Phoenix over this but both are good. The ice creams were all creamy, delicious, and not too sweet. I bought 4 cups (durian, avocado pandan, lychee, and ube), which included a wooden spoon tucked inside the lid. After ordering, the person helping us went to the back and I think they packed the cups fresh. They also gave me a bag of ice to keep everything cold. I also got the purple rice yogurt drink, which was delicious and on par with The Alley's version. The inside is a little dramatic but the back side wall is REALLY, really pretty. Kudos to the decorator because I feel like it belongs in an art exhibit or a professional window treatment at a high end boutique. It's whimsical, charming, and a perfect background for an IG post. I am a very indecisive person and these flavors were new to me. She let me sample most if not all of the flavors which I appreciated so much. The to go ice cream comes in their own tubs like Häagen-Dazs with spoons in the lid! How convenient if you want to stop on before a picnic or a day at the park or eat it on the go. None of the ice creams are too sweet or over bearing which I have a hard time finding. They all tasted very balanced and delicious. Each order comes with two scoops and you aren't allowed to mix and match due to the different price points and some already come in the little tubs which is understandable. Me and my family wanted to try this place out since it recently opened and is pretty close to us. It's located in the plaza next to Hmart. The hours seem to be pretty linited, opening later in the day and being closed on certain weekdays. Inside, you'll find plenty of seating and the large menu with different drink and frozen dessert offerings. The staff was super friendly and were more than happy to help us decide which flavors to go with and give us plenty of samples. The ice cream flavors range from Avocado Pandan to Lychee and Yogurt with purple rice. They all tasted super fresh and could be bought in pints to take home! We ultimately went with the frozen da ua with purple rice. The flavor was great with the right amount of sweetness from the topping and tartness from the yogurt. I also got the blueberry green tea, which was sour as the cashier mentioned, but great overall. Ordered the peach hibiscus black tea and the strawberry oolong tea. They only offer crystal boba for fruit teas. Brown sugar boba was only for the milk teas-- which is honestly a shame. The peach tea was pretty strong with the hibiscus flavor at first taste. It was almost too tart, but as you mix and drink, it gets more palladiumtable and enjoyable. The strawberry was a biiig no. They used fresh-- BUT-- really tart strawberries. It was not pleasant to drink. They needed to render the strawberries down with some sugar. I WISHED they allowed brown sugar boba for this reason. I'm a huge fan of purple rice yogurt drinks. I've tried Yomie's Yogurt at both the Tustin and RSM locations, and I tried Hi Yogurt in Mission Viejo before it sadly closed. Yummy drinks! I like their egg cream milk tea and their Phoenix oolong milk tea, tea flavor is really strong. The ice creams are not very sweet and taste more healthy so I wasn't a huge fan but I tray appreciate the unique flavors including the avocado pandan. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after seeing they sold yogurt drinks here. They do iced vietnamese-style yogurt drinks, which is thick sweet and tart yogurt over ice. Great drink on a warm day + probiotics for your tummy! They have a limited menu and so far I have tried their blended matcha and purple rice yogurt drink. Both are really good. The matcha they use is strong and earthy, just how I like my matcha drinks to be. The purple rice yogurt is also delicious, and much better than the one at the Alley (which I believe use powdered yogurt anyways). Here they use fresh yogurt, which makes such a difference in taste and after-taste. Overall, I give a 4 stars bc they are a newer business and still working out some things. Drinks are really good and fresh, and they have a selection of in-house made ice creams in Asian fruit flavors (durian, pandan, coconut, avocado to name a few).
