Super cute cozy place. I love the decorations. There are some seating not meant for large groups though. Located in a small plaza so parking can be difficult. The server was friendly and helpful. Our drinks were good. My Chilla Matcha (50% sweet) was creamy and I could taste the matcha. My hubby liked his Coconut Cream Coffee. It hit the spot for him. My all-time favorite were the cream puffs. They were very cute, creamy, and flavorful. They weren't too sweet. The Salted Egg Yolk was the yummiest. I would come back to try their other drinks and cream puffs.

My brother loves Chila Coffee and he is the one that recommended me this place. A small cozy shop with very cool decoration. I admire the owner's aesthetic, the interior decoration is modern yet simple. The coffee : go-to order: Vietnamese Milk Coffee 5/5. amazing. I can tell they use phin coffee because the coffee is very condense , and strong! Chilla coffee helps me awake during final exam week. Egg Coffee 5/5 If you like coconut: go for Cà Phê Hải Phòng Matcha: I tried their Matcha kem dẻo: strong matcha, the mochi texture is good but Im not a fan of mochi so 4.5/5 Dirty Matcha: I tried it but I didnt think I like the drink texture, it tastes like chocolate cake with some matcha. Maybe other will like it but not for me Overall their Matcha quality is excellent as well, I wish there is an option for Matcha latte only.

LOCATION: Westminster/Brookhurst PARKING: Small lot * There are a few unhoused people in the area/plaza who genuinely seem harmless. Just be smart and careful! WHAT WE ORDERED: * Matcha Einspanner (usually $7.50) * Secret Matcha (usually $7.50) The inside of Chilla is soooo cute and cozy! The decor is so fun -- a lot of Asian/Vietnamese art! There isn't much inside seating, and the shop is rather small. We went for the 2-for-$8 drink deal (honestly, a steal in this economy). The matcha einspanner was green and creamy. The first few sips were delicious. I thought the secret matcha was a secret menu, but it's not. It's a mulberry matcha with a Biscoff cookie at the top. I love mulberries, and there aren't many cafes that offer mulberry-flavored matcha, so this was definitely new and interesting! Initially, you get a taste of the mulberry, and the matcha is subtle. I honestly didn't taste the matcha too much. As the drink begins to dilute, the Biscoff cookie melts, and you get this delicious mix of all three flavors. I enjoyed their matcha, and I would want to try their coffees next. More people should visit Chilla!

This is solely based on their secret matcha drink. They have a promotion about 2 weeks ago BOGO so we give it a try. This place take over the old Almond Haus. They have about two tables for sitting. I do love the decor. The service was a little slow, take awhile for our drink. In term of the drink, the boysenberry jam was overpowering the matcha. Since there also milk in the drink, it water down the matcha flavor as well. If you a fan of boysenberry or prefer sweet drink, this is for you. I like matcha so this drink is not for me. I would comeback to try other drink since they seems to have other matcha flavor as well.

The cutest shop with the best marble coffee in the county. Parking was a hassle but 1000% worth it. Small shop with some seating inside but the inside was SO cute. We ordered and received our drinks in about 10 minutes, there was no line for a Saturday afternoon which I felt very grateful for. Ordered a marble coffee with a chewy coffee cream and a chilla matcha. Marble Coffee - 10/10. Perfect zero notes, best in OC hands down, on the sweeter side and the coffee was roasted perfectly, the chewy coffee cream is a great addition if you want a stronger coffee flavor. Chilla Matcha - 8.5/10. Not a personal fan of the mochi cream, good flavor overall! Less sweet than your average matcha with a little bit of grittiness. Would happily recommend, will absolutely come back every time I'm in OC.

Chilla Matcha - i like my matcha less sweet so adjusting sweetness to 75% was perfect for me; highly recommend keeping it at 100% if you like yours a bit sweeter! their matcha is on the stronger side, the "chewy matcha top" is just thickened matcha with a stretchy consistency, almost like mochi but not quite as thick. it adds an interesting texture and is really good! matcha is smooth and balanced, highly recommend! Cute, colorful but small inside space with limited seating. There's two small tables with some seatings + a 2-seat couch, some outlets near both seating area. Service quick and friendly. Parking free and easy.

super cute interior !!! decorated with very hip and trendy asian artwork. i love the interior. not much seating inside/outside, more of a to-go place. signature coffee with mochi cream/foam: 7/10. TOO SWEET. i ordered it less sweet but it was still insanely sweet. not sure if it was actually adjusted or not. the coffee and mochi cream were really good and I would definitely be willing to try it again if i could actually get it less sweet :(

A small little coffee/tea spot with special crafted drinks. I was impressed with the drink quality wasn't expecting much but came out great I got the chilla matcha with 25% sweet and it was good for me with the matcha foam making it a strong matcha latte. I also got the egg yolk cream puff which was delicious. You can tell they drinks and snacks are carefully crafted and not those ready to make places. I'd be back and try the other drinks. Glad I stopped by today a little hidden gem.

the dirty matcha was fireeee esp if you like oreos. chilla matcha was also good! i'd recommend getting the matcha here if you're into that. the establishment is pretty small. i like the decorations on the walls here.

I ordered the strawberry matcha latte. It was great. I love that they had strawberry jelly or jam lining the inside of the cup to up the amount of strawberry in the drink. I used the kiosk at the counter to order. Super easy and quick to use. My drink arrived quickly. It's a cute space with modern decor.

I've been to this place several times, and I always love it! I got the Matcha Cloud and the egg yolk cream puff. The matcha is very flavorful, and the cream puff is creamy and not too sweet. I also got their promotion--2 matcha drinks for only $8! Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves matcha.

    Cream puffs

My go tos are the Chilla Matcha and Corncha (Corn Matcha)! - Chilla Matcha: strong matcha with yummy matcha mochi cream - Corncha: refreshing corn taste that does not overpower matcha Their cream puffs are also super yummy!

When we arrived, we were seated right away since it wasn't very busy. The waitress was really nice and answered any questions we had about the menu. Thank you! Here's what we ordered: Mi Sui Cao Kho (5/5): I really liked how they served the wontons on the side so they didn't make my noodles all soggy. Mi Vit Quay (4.5/5): I think my dad really liked this one. I forgot to ask for his opinion, but he definitely devoured everything in that bowl LOL. Chinese Donut (5/5): Fried fresh, so it was perfectly crispy and honestly so addicting to eat! Steamed Pork Kidneys (3/5): Not bad, but I felt like it was missing something to complete the flavor. Overall, a really good experience! P.S. They also sell banh bao on the side!

Hue Ky Mi Gia - Food and Service Appear to Be Declining…read more My wife and I decided to try Hue Ky Mi Gia. The restaurant is located in a busy plaza, and the parking lot is shared with several other businesses, so finding a parking space can be difficult. Location and Parking -- 2/5 The location is convenient, but parking can be challenging because many businesses share the same parking lot. Atmosphere and Comfort -- 2/5 The air-conditioning was weak, and the front door remained open, so the restaurant felt warmer than expected. Service -- 3/5 The service was only okay. The waiters were not especially friendly or welcoming. Food -- 2/5 I ordered the mì vịt tiềm. As everyone can see from my picture, my bowl came with only one small piece of bok choy. In comparison, pictures posted by other customers show the same dish served with several pieces of fresh vegetables. The noodles were okay but much too oily. The broth served on the side was not hot enough, and the duck was dry and tough instead of tender. The pickled vegetables were also too sour. Restaurants can change over time. Based on the difference between my meal and the meals shown in other customers' pictures, the portions and food quality appear to be inconsistent and declining. Cleanliness -- 2/5 The dining area was acceptable, but the restroom needed more attention and cleaning. Overall -- 2/5 Stars Overall, our experience was below average. Hue Ky Mi Gia may be worth trying once if you want something different, but the food, service, comfort, and cleanliness all need improvement.

They were actually one of the first places around to serve this style of noodles, and I've enjoyed it for many years. However, over time, I feel like the quality isn't quite the same as it used to be. Maybe the prices are a little lower now, but the portions also seem noticeably smaller. I recently stopped by in the evening for some snacks. The atmosphere was open, casual, and lively, although both the service and the food seemed a little slow coming out. The balut was way too big for me, so I honestly couldn't really eat it. But the grilled blood cockles were large, fresh, and very juicy, which I really enjoyed.
