They have a number of offerings that are primarily matcha or tea-based like the name suggests, but also offers some fruit desserts too. Some of the dessert options have the ability to scale the sweetness to your desired liking (0%/50%/100%), but not all of them have that available. Got pulled into this wonderful Dessert place by watching a Towel Cake post on Instagram. We had to try it ! Came here after dinner at Thai place across the street on my wife's Birthday. We knew what we want , it had to be the Ube towel cake . The Cake is crepe folded in shape of towel filled with Ube mousse and topped with Ube dust ! It could be something you cant finish on your own because of the overwhelming taste after few bites. But the first few bites are definitely wonderful. Quick to order, items came out fast, friendly service. Strawberry matcha: I got this with oat milk and it tastes like strawberry milk overall. You can't taste the matcha very much though. I asked if I could get it 50% sweet but since the strawberry portion is already premade you're not able to. The drink isn't overly sweet. I'd order this again. Mix soft serve: sweet, creamy, great texture. I got the mixed matcha and milk with worries that the matcha would be too bitter. This is not the case! It was but I'm a snob I guess but I think I appreciate food and can tell what's truly great and I feel there wasn't much pride for the food even where there was clearly much thought put into a .. I went here with a group of friends for the first time. I like Matcha, but I've not went to a restaurant that's Matcha based I love the decor. It's simple and pretty and festive. I was able to order my treats using a kiosk where I could customize my latte And pay for it. It texted me and gave me an order number, the staff called my number. It was served a pretty solid bamboo platter and the plate was some fancy ceramic. They also had a disposable wooden fork that I thought was pretty cool. The milk cap cake was a 10/10.. I was actually surprised about how good it was. It was a shareable size, but I didn't share it lol. I literally wanted to lick the plate afterwards and the Matcha was good as well! This place used to be a favorite of mine when I was craving good matcha and some sweets but oh boy, have they gone downhill. The good is that I like the soft serve, however the drinks to me just taste like cream and sugar. It is now no different to me than a mid boba shop drink, and let me tell you why. Now I'm not trying to say that they changed the matcha, because there's no way I'd know that fact, however the matcha lately is very different from what we had before. Before it was a very nice dark green color, and had a nice bitterness to it, which by the color is very indicative of a high quality matcha, which is why we liked this place so much. Recently though, the color is now a lighter green and the taste isn't so strong which is why I just taste the cream and sugar. That color matcha is usually a sign that it's a lower grade matcha, borderline fake. It's honestly disappointing. Idk if it's a recipe change or the more premium matcha was too expensive for them or what, but it's definitely noticeable in a bad way. Went on the first weekend of their opening - the place was packed! The service was on point despite the crowd. They were friendly, fast and efficient. The space is bigger than the other Kyoto Matchas. Well lit inside and loved that you can open the doors for an "outdoors" feeling. I only got the flavor of the month soft-serve, as it was late and didn't want to stay up all night from the matcha. Flavor was delicious and perfect for a warm summer night. I got the matcha latte with soymilk and 50% sweetness. The latte was definitely a lot more substantial/present in this latte than I had it last time. It wasn't bad and is still enjoyable, but it had that bitter and seaweedy taste that I don't prefer in my matcha. Upon reading their website, I learned that their matcha is organic, so that may affect the taste of the matcha.
